HP LaserJet Professional P1606dn

I have a problem with the connection of the embedded webserver. Not to log. IPv4 is 192.168.2.156, mask is 255.255.255.0, the default gateway IP is 192.168.1.1Thanks to the nastavevá bad default gateway does not get enough on the embedded webserver.I also tried Watch firmware via USB. It did not help.
We ask for advice on how to reset to factory settings or simply change network settings without logging on the web server??
Please help me

If your IP is 192.168.2.156, then the Gateway should be 192.168.2.1, not 192.168.1.1.
OR....
If your Gateway is 193.168.1.1, then the IP should be 192.168.1.156.  They need to match (according to your mask of 255.255.255.0).

  • HP LaserJet Professional P1606dn going offline

    Hi There
In our office we have a HP LJ P1606dn that keeps going offline.
I've checked the options for sleep and auto-off and they are set to 1 hour and never respectively.
When you check the status of the printer in windows it says its offline and when I put the static IP (192.168.2.117) into the browser, the web image monitor doesn't load.
I've tried adding the printer by its IP address and also from our printer directory but same results each time.
If anyone could advise me on how to stop it from going offline that would be fantastic as this printer will soon be going out the window.
    Many Thanks
    James

    Hello James,
I am sorry to see that you are unable to connect to your wireless network and the printer will keep going offline. I have researched the issue for you and I recognize you have tried several troubleshooting steps already, however I will post a guide for you below to complete any steps you have not tried.
    I hope this helps!
Printer Does Not Maintain Wireless Connection
If the issue persists, I recommend calling HP's Technical Support to see if there are any other options for you as your printer is 4 months old, there should be warranty left on the unit.
    Take care

  • Unable to connect HP Laserjet Professional 1606dn for eprint

I have a HP Laserjet P1606dn.  It is hardwired to my router, which is connected to Time Warner Cable Business Class service.  I am able to get to my printer settings through my browser.  When I go to the HP Web Services tab, I within the Web Services Setup tab, I click the "Enable" button to Set up Eprint.  I get an error message that says, "Connection error.  Check internet connection."
I do not have either box checked in the "Proxy Settings" tab.  I even disabled by McAfee firewall and entered www.hp.com as authorized in the browser protection services in McAfee.  I am running on Windows 7 Professional, Service Pack 1.

    Hi@ALL!
Have the same trouble as topicstarter.
I use p1606dn trough ASUS router on windows 8.
I download new drivers, firmwares that says "firmware is up to date" and "power cycle and try again".
    Nothing helps.
I still cant put eprint service on EWS ON.
Now i can use only airprint service, but i nedd eprint too.

  • Job error in external Service when printing from Google Cloud: HP Laserjet Professional P 1102w

I have set up my printer and associated it with Google Cloud Printing. I have shared the printer with my daughter who is on a chromebook. When she tries to print, the printer is there and the job is sent to ePrint bu I get an error saying: "job error in external service". No documents are able to print. Google says this is an HP problem.
I have deleted the printer on my daughters account and re-shared it and reassociated it, but this does not help. On my printers page, my daughter's google account is identified as "allowed to print". But it still doesnt work. Any ideas?

    Hello mapuche,
Welcome to the HP Support Forums!
Will the Laserjet P1102w accept an ePrint from any / all other areas? For example, if (on the Chromebook) you open an Email, forward the Email to the printers ePrint address, will it print?
Try logging into HPConnected, under Devices, click Settings> Open to Anyone.
Try sending a print via Google Cloud Print now with this setting enabled, let me know if it sends the print through. I have seen this straighten many issues out.
Would not be a bad idea to check for firmware updates on the printer too: HP LaserJet P1102w Firmware Update Utility<---A USB connection and Windows computer is needed.

  • For printer LaserJet Professional CM1410 any chance to set printing password for windows and MAC

    Dear All
for printer  LaserJet Professional CM1410 any chance to set printing password for windows and MAC?please help?

What Windows OS are you using?  Are you networked?
If you are networked, you have to setup your file and print sharing options in order to require password assess.  If you are just trying to control specific files from being printed, you can do that, too.
If you are just trying to control the amount of printing off of a single PC with a printer, you could setup different accounts for each user and limit their access.
Some of the commercial printers can have password options, but I do not find any password options for the CM 1410, other than what I provided earlier.
If I have been helpful, a Kudo is always appreciated.

We got a lot of LaserJet m1212nf printers, installed the SAME driver version on server and desktops and nothing is printed using Easy Print. No errors, no messages but nothing is printed, only when a test page is printed the server show an alert: "No test page can be printed".
After that we try to use the HP driver instead of the TS Easy Print, forcing the group policy to use the Hp driver first. But the terminal server always use the Easy Print driver so we are in the same way.
So we try another thing... THE XPS DRIVER... but it doesn't works on the desktop PC, we try to print a test page from the printer desktop properties but "No test page can be printed" is shown...    my god!!!

  • Finding an older driver version for LaserJet Professional M1212nf MFP

    Dear all,
I am looking for an older driver version for our HP LaserJet Professional M1212nf printer, since with our SAP-Citrix system I could only print reports from that version. The version is 20100331 (1.0.1.19178). Is there any place where I could find this driver version? If not, is there any way to transfer the printer driver to the new computer?
In the meantime I found the HP FTP path where various drivers can be found: ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/. However, I don't know where I could find the driver I am asking for. Could please someone help me with this?
    Best regards,

  • HP LaserJet Professional M1217nfw no longer works with ipad/iphone's coupons.com and Grocery IQ apps

I have had this printer for several years. It worked flawlessly until a unilateral automatic HP firmware update bricked it at the beginning of last year. After months of inactivity, it started working again last week after I deleted and reinstalled everything from scratch.
Everything is back the way it was -- except the two apps I really value no longer work with it.
My iphone and ipad -- which both worked flawlessly with this printer for years -- now do not see the printer at all for several minutes and then it finally appears with a red warning button that says "printer not recognized"
I have not upgraded any OS.  The only thing that changed was on HP's end.
I tried deleting and reinstalling the apps. No change.
I have HP's eprint software, but that does not help with these apps, as they use an internal printing mechanism and the actual coupon with the bar code is never visible on screen (and thus unable to be printed via another method).

    Hi @krenster
Welcome back to the HP Support Forums. I understand that there are two apps that no longer work with Apple’s AirPrint feature.
I know you didn’t mention that you were getting this error, but the troubleshooting steps for “What if a 'No AirPrint Printers Found' message displays on my Apple device?” in the Printing Over a Wireless Network with Apple's AirPrint FAQs document should help resolve the issue.
If the above doesn’t help, to better assist you, would you please supply some additional information?
How is the printer connected (USB cable, ethernet, or wireless)?
Are you able to print from other apps that support AirPrint?
What version of iOS are you using on your Apple mobile device? I’m asking because apps will send out updates making them no longer functional with older operating systems. For example the HP ePrint app on iTunes was updated on October 25, 2014 and now requires the iOS device to be a minimum of iOS 6.0 or later. I have checked the two apps you mention in the thread title, and the Grocery IQ app requires your Apple device to be a minimum of iOS 6.0 or later and the coupons.com app requires your Apple device to be a minimum of iOS 7.0 or later.  If you are unsure how to check this, please follow the steps in Apple’s iPhone, iPad, iPod: How to find the software version
Has there been any changes to your network, such as a new router, or a new internet provider?
    Thank you.

  • HP LaserJet M1536dnf MFP; P1606dn and 200 color M251n SNMP trap

Is it possible to configure these devices to send data in SMTP trap?

Just bought the HP 150 Officejet.  It has the bluetooth connectivity, but under bluetooth devices it says "driver is available."  Installed the HP Officejet Full Feature Software and Driver, but on the bluetooth screen still says unavailable.  On the printer device screen in the control panel it shows the L511 and L511 BT, as well further down the list is the name found in the settings of the printer.  For the L511, it says offline, for the L511 BT, it gives no additional info, by the name, it says "driver is unavailable.
Going through the support in the program, it continues to say that if the printer is not found, plug in with a USB and continue, but there was no USB in the box as it is supposed to be wireless, so I can't plug it in to my computer.
So, basically, my computer acknowledges the printer is there, but won't print to it because the driver is unavailable, and I can't plug it in because I didn't get a cable.  None of the downloads from the support page worked.
    Thoughts?

  • LaserJet professional M1213nf

How to configure my HP Laser Jet Professional M1213nf MFP to my Nexus 4 device so that I can do cloud printing?

    Hi diwakaranand,
Welcome to the HP Support Forums. I see that you would like to learn how to setup your printer so you are able to use Google Cloud Print to print from your Nexus 7 tablet.
I’m presuming that you have already setup the printer with an ethernet connection. To setup Google Cloud Print first we need to setup the ePrint feature of your printer. To begin please start by Getting the Printer Claim Code. Once you have the printer’s claim code please Set Up A Custom Email Address for ePrint.
Now that the printer’s ePrint feature has been setup and configured we can now set up Google Cloud Print.   Please follow the steps for HP ePrint-enable printers in the document Using Google Cloud Print with your HP Printer. I’ve also included Google Chrome’s Print a Page document for additional reference.

With the printer turned on , disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
Wait at least 30 seconds. Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.

  • Hp laserjet Professional M1217nfw MFP:

    HI
I've  changed the cartrige and chip and I keep receiving the message "Instal black Cartrige".  I replaced it again with anoter cartrige with new chip I keep getting the same message and it won't work. Any ideas/solution? thanks
    Corfian

    Hi @corfian ,
I will do my best to help you with the toner not being detected, you are getting the message to "install black cartridge".
You have already tried two toners with the same results.
Make sure all the orange packing material is removed from the toner.
Toner Light Blinks or 'Install Black Cartridge' Message Displays on the Control Panel.
Inspect the toner cartridge for damage:
    1. Remove the toner cartridge from the product and verify that the sealing tape has been removed.
    2. Check the memory chip for damage.
    3. Examine the surface of the imaging drum on the bottom of the toner cartridge.
CAUTION: Do not touch the roller (imaging drum) on the bottom of the cartridge.
Fingerprints on the imaging drum can cause print-quality problems.
    4. If you see any scratches, fingerprints, or other damage on the imaging drum, replace the toner.
I would do a hard reset to see if that will resolve the issue.
Leave the printer on and unplug the power cable from the printer and wall outlet for 60 seconds.
Then reconnect the power cable to the printer and wall outlet rather than a surge protector.
This ensures the printer is receiving full power and may help this situation.
Remove all the paper from the paper tray, maybe one piece of paper is fed part way through, blocking the sensor.
Then load at least 15 or more sheets of paper in the tray, to see if the printer goes back to a ready mode.
If the issue persists, remove the toner and use a flashlight to check for any tiny pieces of paper that might be caught and blocking the toner sensor in that area.
Are you using Genuine HP Toner?
    Let me know the outcome.
    Have a nice day!

  • HP LaserJet P1606dn loses their IP address in DHCP mode

    Hi,
We are currently encountering what seems to us to be a strange behavior with the HP LaserJet P1606dn printer. The behavior is that, while in DHCP mode, when it goes into sleep mode, it loses its IP address.
It shouldn't be bad because it should wake up when something is sent to it and get back its IP address, but it doesn't. It get stuck in the printing queue and we need to do an "ipconfig/ flushdns" on the appropriate server so it get back its address. This is kinda annoying because we can't even desactivate this sleep mode function, the best we can do is put it to 1 hour which is temporary because it still gonna loses its IP address anyway.
I have searched all over the net for an answer to our problem and the closest one I have find is one on HP forum where the P1606dn loses its IP address in manual mode and switch to DHCP. Even though it wasn't our exact problem, the recommanded solution was to update the 1606dn firmware, which we did. It sadly hasn't solve our problem. At least, we aren't forced to do a flushdns everytime this time and we can force it to print by printing the configuration page...
An other thing we have found is that, it always or well, very often create a second entry in the inversed zone of the dns with an IP adress it won't even use... It is probably important to note that when the printers loses its ip address, the information of the ipv4, the dns and the rest of the address are all 0.0.0.0.
It seems to me that when the printers enters in sleep mode, it loses its ip address so it can save energy, which would be a good thing, but then, it cannot get back its ip address and well, its like the printers says to himself "well, I am lost and I don't know where I am neither at which address I live but hey, it's ok, everything is just fine."
    Our configuration :
Windows 7 professional 64 bit on users end
    Windows server 2008 r2 enterprise
The printer is connected in LAN
Anyone has stumbled accross a problem like this before with this model?
    Thank you

These settings are for setting up your wireless printer to stay connected to your router, keep wireless devices better connected and makes your router secure and hack proof.
    1. Set a static IP in the printer (click here) outside the DHCP range of the router (check your manual).
This is for Linksys routers but can be used for all routers. Verify your DHCP range and change this
first if needed. More Wireless Printing help is here.
    2. Verify in the printer that 'Auto Off' is disabled.  Use the Embedded Web Server (EWS) by going to the
printers IP address in your browsers address bar, click Settings Tab/Auto Off. Or use the Printer
       Assistant, Printer Home Page (EWS).
    3. If the printer supports and has IPv6 enabled, turn off IPv6 in the printer.
    4. If needed and you assigned a static IP address, try using 8.8.8.8 for the Manual DNS server and
         8.8.4.4 preferred DNS server.
In the router: (Refer to your router manual for information)
    5. Use a fixed wireless channel like 1, 6 or 11, never 'auto', try channel 1 first then the rest.
    6. Set router to 20Mhz only, or 145Mbps depending on router.
    7. Always use WPA2-AES (Personal) encryption, but you can try ‘mixed’ mode.
    8. Disable WPS and never use it and disable UPnP for the routers security. Nobody can hack your
system now and helps with wireless connectivity (if you want to know why, search the web).
    9. If you have a dual band router (2.4Ghz and 5.0Ghz bands), make sure the SSID’s are NOT the same,
they must be different for all bands, even for any Guest networks.
    10. SSID broadcast must be enabled.
    11. Save all settings. Power off both, wait 2 mins.  Power on router wait 2 mins.
    12. Power on printer and verify it reconnects to router.
Windows 7/8/8.1   Is Network Discovery on or off?
Control Panel/Network and Internet/Network and Sharing Center/Advanced sharing settings.
Under Home or Work (current profile) / Network Discovery.
Select "Turn on network discovery" and save changes.
