HP load runner: Ajax True Client Protocol: Issue

Hi All,
There is a Vugen script recorded using Ajax True Client Protocol - IE. I want to edit this script.
But when I am clicking on 'Develop Script' option, Im getting a popup window which says:
"To edit an Ajax True Client IE script you must have Internet Explorer 9 installed on your machine"
When clicked on 'OK' button on this popup window, another popup displays:
"VuGen could not start True Client browser to enable you to develop your script".
But I had installed IE9 already and still it shows the same error.
Please provide a solution for this issue.

Hi Swathi,
I also faced same problem, but I upgrade to IE 8 to IE 11 and tried with AjaxTruClient - IE.
Its working fine, Try with IE 11 u will not face this problem.

AJAX True Client issue with Load generator and BPM

Hi every one,
when i try to run Ajax True Client scrit from controller with Load Generator other than local machine,
it is failing with an error "cannot find usr file".
Root Cause:
this is because it is missing "webiendp.txt" file while copying the script to Load Generator machine. by placing this file manually in that location, its working fine.
But in case of BPM we cannot do like that. BPM always make a copy of the script and after execution it clean up the entire folder.
is there any settings to copy the entire folder to BPM/LG location, with out missing "webiendp.txt"?

Load Testing Discoverer Plus 11g Web Using HP Load Runner 11

Hi,
I am doing load test for "Oracle Business Intelligence Discoverer Plus 10g" using HP Load Runner 11. Could you tell me which is the best protocol to record script?
I am looking for a protocol which I can parametrize after recording.
These are recommended protocols from Load Runner when I run Protocol Analyzer
AJAX(Click and Support) : Seems to work fine but Can't parametraize Query after recording
Java Over HTTP
Web (HTTP/HTML)
There are other protocols too.
Could you provide any pointers or best practices. Thanks a lot

Webi XI 3.1 SP2 LOAD TESTING ISSUE WITH LOAD RUNNER

Hello,
We are launching a test campaign in order to test the Webi XI 3.1 SP2 (FP2.2) platform to validate it is capable to host 150 concurents users.
The test is pretty simple:
Logon to Infoview
Navigate to the Document list page
Make a search to find the adequate report
Open this document
Fill the prompts (doc is auto refresh)
Wait for the results
Logoff InfoView
The problem is related to the tool with which we are scripting that is not able to run this script (Tool is Load Runner (ex Mercury)). In fact, we are able to capture the script correctly but when it is replayed, it crashes when displaying the document list page as it can't find the frame with the list of documents and the tree view...
Do you know whether there are some specific settings to make it working correctely?
For information, the Protocol used for our testing are:
Web Click-&-Script
HTTP-HTML
AJAX

I've used LoadRunner for this purpose before. There is a tutorial that comes with the product. My suggestion is to go through that and from there you should be able to get it working with enterprise. I feel that's the best way to get up and running quickly.

Issue with Load Runner Recording

Hi Techi, I need to record the script for following funcitonality. when I click a button on application, it should download the templet and it open with MS Word, it is working fine, when I manualy executed. but when trying to record the script with Load runner 12.02 , it is not downloading the templet. Flex Issue in Load Runner

Recording Application in Flex + Web (HTTP/HTML) in LR11.52
Facing problem while parsing AMF binary code to XML.
Uploaded flex-messaging-* jar files and application related jar files.
The warning is
"It is unable to instantiate the object com.db.lrc... ..ProductClassification as the class does not have a public specifier.
Suggestion is Add default constructor to the concerned class."
[The above mentioned com.db.lrc.... ProductClassification is available in the application jars attached in Load Runner]
The error is :
java.sql.sqlException ORA01407 Cannot update the values in table to NULL.

Hi,
Go to the monitor of the load, make the technical status "Red" even if it looks red by clicking on the traffic light. Go to Info package and manually start the info package, system will ask you to repeat the delta select yes. After successfully finishing the load perform all the steps in process chain manually.

Error in connecting SAP R/3&Load Runner thr' recording for script creation

Hi SAP Gurus!!
I am New to SAP environment.
I got the following Error
" Scripting Interface is disabled on SAP Server"
No action can be recorded on this connection.
What I try to do is:
I tried to connect the SAP R/3 (4.77 EE- IDES environment) through Load Runner (8.1 evaluation version) through recording for creating a script.
What I did at load runner :
Start Creating Script by by pressing "start recording" by giving the following options
Program to Record : SAP logon
Working Directory :C:\Program Files\SAP\FrontEnd\SAPgui
Record into action : vuser_init
and in options : enable the Auto logon by providing the details of
SAP Server name,client,username,password and language.
By pressing OK button I got the above error and it was trying to connect the SAP.
If i give manually again logon details it is loging in to SAP but it is not recording any thing.
Can any body help in this regard?

Was wondering if you can help me, I am trying to create a trouble shooting sheet for possible reasons why sap scripting fails to connect at some of our clients. We write a screen reader that consumes the sapfewse.oxc, I have implemented this in C sharp and have great results. However I constantly getting support issues that my screen reader fails to connect.
Often the problem is fixed by just enabling Scriping on the client or using RZ11, I noted that you seem to indicate, however that RZ11 is short term solution and you mentioned a permanent change.
Can you please give details on the permanent change and how one can achieve this. Could you also list any other possible reasons why connecting to scripting might fail. I will be happy to mail you my connection code for a peer review as well, I would feel more comfortable with expert stamp of approval.

HP Load Runner: CPU usage for this load generator has exceeded 80%

Recently I have downloaded LR 12.1 and installed. Observed error CPU usage for this load generator has exceeded 80% when executing the test with 5 user load using AJAX Trulcient IE script. For each virtual user in the script one TcWebIELauncher.exe hads been initiated and running during the test execution. Each TcWebIELauncher.exe instance is taking min 14% CPU utilization and CPU utilization for 5 users is around 75% at the time of test execution. What is the reason behind this high CPU utilization for this less user load?. Please suggest how to handle and fix the issue.

You can download Trail version of Loadrunner from HP site. That's true. all HP testing tools products are license based.
i) If you want to use for SAP applications, you need to have SAP protocals (SAP GUI and SAP WEB). So how this licenses works is, if you want to buy 50 Vusers for SAP it cost you around $ 32k and it depends on company discount. so you need to work with HP Sales team to get the quotation then based on no of Vusers and you can procure it.
ii) As for as i know, there is no HP LR integration with Solution Manager.

Load Runner - stress test for BI java report(WAD 7.0) error

Our project implement the SAP Portal 7.0(NW2004s, BW/EP SP14) and before we go-live, we use the Load Runner 8.0 to test the performance of SAP BW Java reports.
1. We develop the BI report basing WAD 7.x, setup Iview in sap EP for BI report and get the BI report URL.
    2. We fill the report URL in IE(6.0) to run this report and display the bi report successfully ,

maybe the loadrunner could not compile/replay the BI_COMMAND rows successfully?

How do load system form matrix -Inventory-Goods Issue through SDK UI &DI

While I am accessing system form matrix -Inventory Goods Issue/ Goods Receipt, the matrix object is not accessible.
Error is coming stating "Item 13 is invalid, where 13 is item uid for matrix.
So,How do load system form matrix -Inventory-Goods Issue(FORM 720/-720) through SDK UI &DIAPI.
Form Type: -720
How to get reference of System form matrix object -Inventory-GoodsIssue.
Some thing similar to CopyFrom functionality for -Inventory-Goods Issue.
Currently my client requirement is as follows.
I created a UDF ((U_ILC) Incoming Log Challan) for marketing documents. And, this field is added in the header level of Goods Reciept, Goods Issue documents.
1. Through Inventory->Goods Receipt (ILCNo.10), items are received. Assume, M00001, M00002 are the items received with qty, price, whse, account values.
2. Through Inventory->Goods Issue, item should be issued. In this Goods Issue Form, after entering U_ILC value as 10, pressing Tab, the GoodsIssue matrix should be loaded with the values of GoodsReceipt(IGN1 for U_ILC:10) document i.e. M00001,M00002 along with the same values as in GoodsReceipt of ILC:10.

SDN has now introduced a <a href="/people/mark.finnern/blog/2004/08/03/announcing-the-contributor-recognition-program Recognition Program</a>. Which in short text means that for each question you have 10 points, which can be given to the person that answers your question.
Why worry? But at the end of the day, all of us are human, and a small recognition goes a long way. This way, you win in getting a good answer. The person answering gets that warm feeling of having helped and with enough points gets a small reward.
SDN is a community that lives for and from its users. Which means when asking a question, you also assume the responsibility to assign the points. Recommended is that you assign 6 or 10 points once to the answer/person that helped you the most. Assign 2 points to everyone that contributed something. See also <a href="https://www.sdn.sap.com/sdn/index.sdn?page=crp_help.htm">FAQ</a>.
SDN is place where developers meet other developers. One takes the time to see the problems other developers are facing, the time to read possible solutions (to learn), and maybe one day the time to answer some questions.
This is NOT a support channel. For urgent problems, especially if it concerns your business, SAP Service Channel is the only way to go! It the place where your problem gets logged and tracked, where there are escalation processes available, and where we can involve different groups as appropriate to get a problem solved. Problems can and will only be handled via SAP Service Channel, not in this forum.
As such, do not use any of the words urgent, quickly, burning, etc in your message. Especially not in the title! This just irritates and does not help you to get to your goal. From our side, we definitely not answer faster, nor better when we see these hot words.
The same for such things as ??? or !!! in appends. In English language one ? or ! is sufficient to terminate a sentence.
Let me give a small story: in another forum, somebody asked a complex question with the words "URGENT" in the title. The only answer he got from another forum user was "Dont use urgent". The question was never answered.
And as such, it is recommend following a specific style, so that you get your questions answered, and also other people feel happy to read the thread.
Which means: always ask questions, but leave time for the answers to be sought.

1.5. Why is nobody answering my question?
This may be for a variety of reasons. Firstly, never assume that you are entitled to an answer. Remember this is a community forum; the people on the list have jobs just like you and respond voluntarily. Perhaps nobody knows the answer.
The following are a few tips on posting effective questions with a better chance of getting a response:
Use a good subject line. The subject header is your golden opportunity to attract qualified experts' attention in around 50 characters or fewer. Don't waste it on babble like "Workflow question". As we all have busy jobs, often we just skim through the list headings and read those that interest us. Also, DO NOT reply to an unrelated post to ask a different question. This confuses those reading the thread and may lose people that would be interested in your question. Always start a new topic with a new mail.
 Bad subject: Urgent problem with workflow
 Good subject: Error after transport: "Inconsistent workflow definition"
Try to find the answer first. There are tons of resources out there, show that you have tried to find the answer. A question that shows that the person is willing to try and help themselves is more likely to be answered than one which simply demands information. Tell us what you have tried to solve the problem yourself - often we can learn from that too!
Provide enough information. For starters, please tell us which version and type of system you're working on - e.g. SAP R/3 4.6C or SRM 4.0 (EBP 5.0). If your question is regarding an error, include the message. If it is a request for info, please be specific. Questions such as "How do I administer workflow" are vague, tell us exactly what you want to know - "I'm the administrator, how do I forward work items to another agent?". If it's a big query, rather break it down into separate questions.
Re-read your query before submitting it. Put yourself in a reader's position - does the question make sense? Can I understand the problem? Is this enough information to be able to answer the problem?
 This is a very valuable technique, because many questions end up answering themselves when you read them carefully. It also leads to better questions. Many list readers like good questions, especially if they are thought-provoking and thus help all of us understand things better. This is one of the main reasons many experienced consultants read the list regularly.
Lastly, it's also nice to follow up with a brief update if you have found the solution. People may try to help not because they know the answer, but because they are interested in solving the same problem; or people may just encounter the same issue in the future and be searching the archives. It's a good way of giving back to the community, irrespective of whether you are a beginner or an expert.

HP Load Runner and BI

I am interested in hearing experiences of using tools like HP Load Runner in connection with the BI environment (possibly in conjunction with Portals). We are also considering the benefits of Quality Test Director in regard to our periodic BI updates.
The issue is that we are primarily a BEx (Excel based - NW04s) BI shop and are in the process of migrating to Web based reporting.
If you have experience with these tools in the BI environment, I would be interested in getting your feedback.

Load runner: in which the HTTP header is stored?

I've used Mercury Load runner to stress test our Web application.
We used a session variable in the url, so after I scripted, I can't replay it (error: session is expired). So, I want to know, in Mercury Load runner, where the HTTP header is stored?

The issue is not where the http header is stored. For make it works you just have to create a correlation to get this session id dynamically in your script.
For know how to do it have a look at the web_reg_save_param function documentation or ask google.
