HP M175nw printer doesn't scan with Yosemite 10.10.1

My HP M175nw printer prints, but since upgrading to Yosemite 10.10.1 the scanner doesn't respond. I've deleted the driver and re-installed, but no joy. Any suggestions? HP offer no solutions...

Printer won't work with Yosemite

kodak printer will not work with Yosemite. It was fine before. Anyone have the same problem with a Kodak printer. Weirdly I can scan a document but not print anything at all. It says printing but nothing comes out!

Hi , and I see you are both having trouble scanning after upgrading to Windows 10, and I may be able to help. Most products do have updated software available on HP's support website for Windows 10. I've also seen a few posts that say the Windows 8.1 driver will work for Windows 10 as well, so you could try that too. HP provides a free tool called HP Print and Scan Doctor to diagnose and resolve printing and scanning problems. I recommend downloading and running the HP Print and Scan Doctor, if it doesn't fix it automatically let me know what errors or messages you receive. Do you know if you are able to scan using Paint? (It's the same for Windows 10, from what I've been told)Right-click the Start button () in the lower left corner of the screen, click Search, and then type Paint.Click Paint in the results.Click File, and then click From scanner or camera.Select your printer, click OK, and then click Scan. Acrobat XI doesn't scan with Brother DCP-9010CN, writes "scan canceled". Everything is tuned as A4 format, etc. More then, Acrobat 9 Standard scans well with the same equipment. Win 7

Sound Blaster omni 5.1 doesn't work with Yosemite 10.10.1

Hi all! My SoundBlaster omni 5.1 doesn't work with Yosemite 10.10.1 (installed driver for Yosemite 10.10). Equipment in system is displayed properly, like "Sound Blaster Omni Surround 5.1". And SB is set as active. Volume controller is active (system shows volume adjustment). But there is no sound on output (either) and mic doesn't catch the signal.With MS Windows 8.1 it works good. Therefore I suppose problem not in hardwear, most likely in drivers.Does anybody have the same problem?

Office 2008 and 2011 work with Yosemite. If you had Office 2004 installed, then it will not work. If you had Office 2008 I would upgrade to Office 2011. In any event you should try completely uninstalling Office and then reinstalling it.

HP Deskjet C5280 doesn't print colors on Imac with Yosemite

For years i use the HP Photosmart C5280 all-in-one on a windows laptop. Now i have a new imac 27inch late 2013 with Yosemite . The printer is working also verry fast bit only i can print black i can't select colours. The printer cartridges are full en the printer stand alone works to and prints colors.
Can somebody help me?

Hp officejet pro 8600 doesn't work with yosemite

I've installed yosemite on my mac and now scanning doesn't work, there isn't the scanning button in system/print and scan like before installing yosemite!
I've tried to delete and reinstall driver (also update driver from appstore after installed the new driver) and I've tried to use the hp scan software but nothing the softaware report that there are no scanners!
Printing works very well the problem is only on scanning and only on mac because other pc with windows works correctly!

Trouble Printing PDF's scanned with Image Capture

OK this is a strange problem. I have Macbook Pro and a Lexmark E230 laser printer which prints everything out just fine in safari, word, pages, numbers - anything except PDF's that are specifially scanned with the Image Capture application.
I printed four PDF's that were made from different sources, some just assembled JPEGs, one that was text printed from Pages, and another instruction manual randomly downloaded from the internet. All printed fine.
My wife and I scan a lot for our home business and any PDF that we have scanned using Image Capture prints only the first page, then hangs, and then the rest of the document does not print. If I try to print the second or other pages manually, I get an error printed on the page saying :
ERROR: limitcheck
OFFENDING COMMAND: image
STACK:
And the image partially prints.
I am aware of all driver issues, have tried using old drivers, completely reset the print system using the OPTION and ( - ) key in the printer system prefs. I have also used the most up to date drivers, nothing seems to change this. I am also aware of a printers limitations as far as using images or PDFs with a lot of memory.
The thing that makes me confused is that this all seemed to work perfectly before (in Lion) and even during the inital stages of Mountain Lion. At some point (this is on my wife's computer), I'm not sure when the issues started exactly, I was unable to print PDFs scanned with Image Capture properly.
This used to work, now it doesn't. Printer hasn't changed, types of documents haven't changed. Any ideas?

I have experienced your problem on several occasions and found the culprit to be a corrupt font. Try selecting everything in the document and changing it to a font that you are certain prints. If the problem persists, try copying everything and paste it into a new document. If your document is several pages, try printing one page to hone in on the problem.
If the problem still persists, does your document have bullet items? If yes, and the bulleted items were created with the automatic bullet feature, then the problem may be the default font used for that feature (most likely the Symbol font).
To change to a different font, go to the Format menu, select Bullets and Numbering. Click on the style of bullets your document uses and then click the Customize button. In the next window, click on the shape of bullet your document uses and then click the Font button below. A Font window appears in which you can then select a different font. Afterwards, if the document prints, then the default font is probably corrupt and you may want to replace it with a good copy.

I am trying to establish connetion to my Mac for scanning. I've seen posts that there are issues with OSx10.10. Have the issues been resloved? How can I fix this?

Thank you for visiting the HP Support Forums! I understand you are trying to scan with your HP Deskjet 3520 to the Mac running the Yosemite 10.10 Operating system. Please follow the steps listed below:
Scrub/ Uninstall
• Open the Applications folder > HP or Hewlett Packard folder > HP Uninstaller
• Click continue, click on one of the printers in the list.
• * Only do this step if you do not have any other HP Printers. Hold down Control, Option and Command, While holding the three buttons down,
• Click uninstall.
Reset Printing System
1. Click the Apple icon ( ), and then click System Preferences.
2. In the Hardware section, click Print & Fax/Scan. The Print & Fax/Scan dialog box opens.
3. Right-click (or Ctrl +click) in the left panel, and then click Reset printing system…
4. Click OK to confirm the reset.
5. Type the correct Name and Password.
6. Click OK to reset the printing system. The Print & Fax dialog box shows no printer selected
Note: This will remove all printers in the print and Fax/Scan, any printer removed can be re-added later by clicking the plus (+) symbol..
Repair Disk Permissions
1.On the Dock, click Applications, and then click Utilities.
2.Double-click Disk Utility.
3.Highlight your hard drive/partition on the left (by default this is "Macintosh HD").
4.Click the Repair Disk Permissions button at the bottom of the window.
5.Once the repair is complete, restart the computer.
Restart the printer. Now you can download and install the printer software and install it. Click on the link below to begin the download and follow the on screen instructions:

Reset the printing system:

Now, re-Add the printer in Print & Scan prefs.
(resetting is one way to force use of new driver)

Canon MP600 printer no longer working with Yosemite

I have an iMac, Mid 2011 with OS X Yosemite Version 1010.2 installed. It has 4gb of memory and a 2.7GHz Intel Core i5 processor. Of my 1TB of storage I have 934.81 GB free.
Since returning from a recent holiday my Canon Pixma MP600 printer has not been recognised by my iMac and I am no longer able to print from it. It did work with Yosemite before I left and I have been unable to restore the printer on the on the Printers and Scanners list. I have tried to uninstall the printer software and go back a step to install it with OS Mavericks but having gone through that process once it did not work.
Does anybody have any suggestions?

I have tried a number of ways to reinstall my printer but it does not appear in the drop down menu under Printers and Scanners and no matter what I seem to do will it come up. I am just about at my wits end with this. Short of binning my current printer (which was working perfectly well by the way) and buying a new one I do not know what else to do.
If anyone has any other suggestions I would be most grateful.

Printing out of Acrobat with Yosemite

I just got a new mac with Yosemite. When I print out of Acrobat XI sometimes it prints the job bigger than it is or it shrinks it. I have it set at Actual size, and have also told it Custom Scale 100%. Printing to a Xerox 700. Any ideas?

Perhaps you can provide us with some more information. What is the defined page size of the pages you are trying to print? Also, what is the page size you have selected on the Xerox 700 printer? Does the same problem occur when you attempt to print the same pages to other printer models? You also might want to consider checking whether Xerox offers an updated driver for this printer for MacOS 10.10.
More info and we might be able to assist you further. FWIW, this is not an issue that we have previously heard about either through these forums of the Technical Support organization. At this point I would not make any assumptions as to whether MacOS 10.10 or Acrobat 11.0.10 is the culprit.

Can I use my HP Printer/Scanner to scan in Yosemite?

Have an HP C 4280 all-in-one printer and fax.
I controlled the fax function previously by going to system prefs>printing and scanning.
I try to do that now, and the machine will not scan - even if I hit the scan button on the device.
