Hp m570dn printing garbled russian

I have several Windows 7 Pro SP1 workstations connected by wired LAN to an HP M570DN printer. From one computer it prints powerpoint presentations from MS Office 2010 fine from another PC with identical configuration and identical printer drivers it prints one page fine next page looks like Russian gibberish. We have not changed the laguage settings from English. All our clients are set to print in English. Any ideas? I can't see any settings that appear to have changed. It looks correct.

  • Printing in Russian Language - after ECC 6.0 unicode upgrade

    Hello ,
Earlier users from russia are able to print in SAP 4.6C using SAPWIN Device type in russian language.
but after unicode conversion and ECC 6.0 EHP 4 upgrade, they are not able to print in russian using SAPWIN.
In print preview ,it is showing correclty, but not in output.
    any help ?
    regards,
    Chaitanya.

    Hi,
It should not be necessary to change to SAPWIN5. Device type SAPWIN5 only supports cyrillic fonts like COURCYR, HELVCYR or TIMECYR. Therefore, even if the erong font is used in the form, the device type converts it to a Russian font. If yuo use a correct font for Russian characters in the form, then SAPWIN should also work.
SWINCF should also work with the current form setting.

  • Firefox prints garbled text no matter what, from my XP-SP3 HT-P4 to my HP LJ 1200 PCL

I am using FF 3.6.13 on a HT-P4, 3 GHz, with XP-SP3, 4Gig RAM lots of HD space. Every other application on my machine prints fine to my HP LaserJet 1200 PCL (even MS Explorer and G-Chrome) but no matter what I do in terms of changing settings or fonts, no matter what webpage or HTML file I pull up in it, FF prints garbled text. Some times not all of the text is garbled but usually the parts I really need are the ones garbled.

I wonder whether anyone can give me advice on the above problem, thanks. Have upgraded to Firefox 9.

  • I recently purchased HP 8500 Premium. Occasionally prints garbled text. I have XP Pro OS

I recently purchased HP 8500 Premium.  Occasionally prints garbled text.  I have XP Pro Operating System.

I contacted HP Support AND also checked on their website.  HP has only provided Apple Update with a basic Printer Driver for this Model of Printer for Lion (which I also own).  The original HP Software that came with your Printer is NO longer supported with LION.  HP told me they may eventually update THEIR software, or may not.  In the meantime they direct people who need to SCAN to Apple's very basic "PRINT & SCAN" utility in System Preferences:
Click the Apple menu ( ), and then click System Preferences .
    Click Print & Scan ( ).
Click Scan , and then click Open Scanner .
Click Show Details . The details of the scan display, including options to modify scan settings such as output type.Figure 2: Example of the Show Details scanning screen
Change any settings as necessary, and then click Scan .

  • Prints Garbled Text with HP845C

    My Garbled Text problem:
My MacBook is back from Applecare after it went dead, and the internal hard disk was wiped clean by them as I requested, and in checking completed print jobs, I see that they did try printing a document or two after reformatting and re-installing OS X.
However, my MacBook STILL continues to print garbled text from every application when connected, either directly or via Airport, to my HP 845C, regardless of which hard disk I start up from, even the one reformatted by AppleCare. (I have three different 10.4.11 hard disks available to start up from.)I have tried this MacBook with other printers, and text prints just fine.
In addition, I routinely send documents to this HP 845C from other computers, and it prints just fine from them.
So how can it be a software problem?
So, it seems that this particular printer no longer likes my MacBook. !? (They used to work together just fine.)
How can this be and what can I do about it? Does anyone have a clue?
Is there someway I can re-set this printer to come back into "like" with my MacBook? Resetting the Printer System through Printer Setup Utility does not help.
I have found nothing on the HP website to help.
Looking forward to advice from the geniuses here on the forum.
In addition, Safari continues to quit unexpectedly on this MacBook after clicking on any link, regardless of which hard disk I start the MacBook from, even the one reformatted by AppleCare. This is very odd.

    Hi Nathan,
I think we need to figure out the crashing first.
    Here's what I'd try...
Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at bootup), & use Disk Utility from there to Repair Permissions, reboot once more.
PS. Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive.
    On the Printer side...
    Might try these two...
Mac OS X: About the Reset Printing System feature ...
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1341?viewlocale=en_US
Might try Printer Setup Repair 5.1...

  • Network printing: ipp "printer is busy"/LPD and AppSock prints garbled data

    Dear all,
After months of trying on and off, I give up - I need help please. Since upgrading to Leopard, then Snow Leopard, I cannot print to the office computers. Windows or IPP printer settings produce the "printer is busy - wait 15 seconds" etc error message; LPD and AppSock printer settings enable data to get through, but the output is garbled text (the Adobe Postscript 3 engine on the printer isn't happy, obviously).
We have some new colour copier/printers from FujiXerox (FX Docucentre IV C3370) and some older Canon laser printers (LBP5600), but they don't offer Bonjour connectivity and I am stuck. I can ping them, I have the latest drivers, but nothing works. They worked fine in OS10.4 on this same computer, and XP and Windows 7 of course in BootCamp, but nothing in OS10.5 or 10.6.
I've been all over the web and through the Discussions forums and tried all the suggestions I can see, to no avail. I've tried KeyChains to carry by login ID and password to the machines, and deleting/adding printers through both the System Preferences and the CUPS interface, but I confess I am stuck. I currently copy all of my documents every day to a Dell desktop on my desk just to print them out.
The Canons are run through a Windows server, the FujiXerox has a standalone IP address and no separate print queue at the moment. Running OS10.6.2 on MacBook Pro. I'm happily connected to the network and can access all sharepoints and servers, I just can print to any of the printers - it's infuriating.
Is it a Firewall problem? Sub-net problems? Any ideas most welcome, thanks for looking and sorry if I've missed out anything important.

    MacJapan wrote:
After digging around I found the Windows drivers are ART EX drivers; obviously that doesn't really come in Macintosh flavour, but FujiXerox do have a non-postscript driver for the machine which I downloaded. This time I could connect via LPD, as FujiXerox recommend, but the print job stalls at the spooling stage; the error message reads that the 'Library/Printers/FujiXerox/Filter/FXPSACMMFilter.bundle/Contents/MacOS/FXPSACM MFilter' failed.
The filter bundle crashing could be related to permissions on the filter or a result of using a 32bit driver with a 64bit application.
    For the permissions, you could opening Terminal and entering the following text;
    sudo chown -R root:wheel /Library/Printers/FujiXerox/Filter/
then press ENTER. You will be prompted to enter you user name and password. The user name needs to be an account that has admin rights to the Mac.
Exit Terminal and restart the Mac. Now try printing again.
Regarding the 64bit apps, these are the included SL apps like Preview, TextEdit and Safari. If you attempted to print with one of these apps when you got the error, you could try forcing the app to open in 32bit mode. This is done with the application closed. Locate the app with Finder and do a Get Info on the package (icon). There will be the option to 'Open in 32bit mode'. Select this, close the Get Info window and open the app. Now try a print.
Regarding the Non-Postscript driver, looking at the FJ drivers web site, there are two of these drivers available. Both are showing as version 1.1, but the dates are different. Have a look at the following link to see if you have the one with the most recent date.
    http://onlinesupport.fujixerox.com/setupDriverForm.do?ctrycode=AU&lang_code=en&dlang=en&pid=DCIVC3370
Greg's suggestion to use the Generic PCL is also a good alternative. One thing I did find however with the PCL5c is that it does not print in colour, even though it would suggest it does based on the name (the c normally indicates colour).
Did you get the Canon LBP printing?

  • Printing to windows printer via SMB - Printing garbled text

    Hi all.
I have been working on this issue for around 3 hrs this morning and finally figured it out. Thought I'd post what I did to help others with similar issues.
    Here's my set up:
I have a PC with HP photosmart printer connected to it. I've a Macbook Pro that I connect to the PC via SMB protocol for file sharing. If I wanted to print from the mac to the printer I had to disconnect the printer form the PC and directly connect it to the mac. I wanted to be able to print from the Mac to the printer via the PC. Should be that hard right as I have already successfully file shared via SMB.
Well it was a little difficult. I did many a search on here and the web and eventually found the following article:
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?path=Mac/10.4/en/mh2231.html
So, following these steps i tried to print a single page word (office 2008 for mac) doc from the mac. Hey presto! The printer kicked into life and started...
...problem was it spewed out around 20 pages of Garbled text! I tought it might have been print jobs stacked up from the last unsuccessful attemt at doing this but no, no jobs there. Thought it might have been Word/office for mac, etc. so tried to print from Text Edit but same thing.
After hrs of screaming, F'ing & Blinding I finally figured out it was to do with what printer I had it set up on. I went into Print & Fax in System Preferences, highlighted the printer and clicked printer setup tab. In the drop down tab I selected printer model. It was set on Generic.
In the drop down list there it shows a huge selection of printers. my particular model was not there so I chose the closest thing and selected that.
After exiting all that and trying again it worked.
    I'm very happy.
    Adam

Hi iVirtual, what Mac OS are you running, Leopard (10.5.4) or Tiger (10.4.11)? Also, is your printer directly attached to your pc or is it a network printer directly on the local area network? One last question, do you have a firewall (like Trend Micro or Norton Internet Security) on your PC?
From my Mac running Leopard, I have no problem printing to a printer directly attached to my WindowsXP machine. However, I don't have the same luck from my Tiger Machines.
When I print to any networked printer (by that I mean printers directly attached to the network) from the WindowsXP machine with SP3, I always have to use the IP address. The printer.local name no longer works since I installed SP3.
simonparker, If your printer is directly attached to your PC using a USB cable, I don't think you'll be able to see it with the Bonjour Printer Wizard application. Since your printer is shared, you might check your WORKGROUP name on your PC. Something you might check is this:
Do you have a password on your user account on the PC? You'll probably need a password on your PC account. I don't think you can share anything if you don't have a password (I could be wrong, but it has never worked for me without a password).
On leopard, when I added the printer to the Mac I did this:
    1) bring up System Preferences/Print&Fax
    2) Press the + sign under the printer list, when the add window pops up, choose the "Windows" icon and you should see your workgroup name in the left list.
    3) Choose the workgroup and it should populate with your machine name.
    4) Select the machine name in the middle list and you should get a login and password dialog box.
    5) Enter your PC's Username and Password.
    6) You should see a list of shared printers in the right most list.
    7) Select the printer and then select the driver.
Your printer should now be configured on the Mac. I know that I had to enter my PC's user name and password several times before I could print.

  • PDF prints garbled text to HP M1522NF

Hi I have a user at a remote job site using Windows XP and Adobe Pro Extended (9).  We have a web application where the user clicks a button to open a PDF.  When it opens on screen, she can read everything fine, but when she goes to print the document, it prints out in garbled text as shown in the example.. it happens sporadically.  She can print fine for awhile and then hits one that looks like this when printed.  She is printing to an HP LaserJet 1522NF.  The PDF opens in a web browser and reads fine.  Then when they print, the text becomes garbled.  Any help appreciated.

    Hi,
I am working on a similar issue, there seems to be a problem with Adobe choosing fonts incorrectly, or incorrectly encoding the fonts. The easiest (though temporary) solution is to install a a different version of acrobat reader (8 if you have 7, or 7 if you have 8). Also, if this is online, saving it to the desktop and printing it from there can solve the issue.

  • Officejetpro K5400dn prints garbled lines about every 1/4 page. Help

I have an  Officejet Pro K5400dn printer purchased in October 2009.  I had a problem immediately with the printer and HP replaced the item immediately.  For the past two months it has suddenly started printing constantly about one print line every 1/3 of the page totally garbled.  I have uninstalled and reinstalled drivers with no effect.  I have run Win XP Pro SP3 since I purchased the printer.  The print diagnostic application detects no defects.  I met a HP field representative about a week ago and he tried to tell me how contact HP for help but what I remember to do does not work.  I cannot contact anyone to help unless I want to pay for support.  Does this action ring a bell with anyone?? It has been a super workhorse and quality machine since I began using it.

Crazy text is no good. Try the steps outlined in the article below and let us know if it helps.

  • Printer in Russian

I recently purchased a display model HP Deskjet 3510.  When I got home, I realized that the language is set to Russian.  I have tried to reset the printer to factory defaults, but that isn't working.  How can I change it back to English so that I can use my printer?

    Hi Bromthal:
If you are unable to access your EWS (Embedded Web Server) you can change the language from the front panel of the printer.
I have included a snapshot of the front panel of your printer as it would appear in English.
    Steps:
    1) Highlight the 4th item down which is 'Settings' and press “OK”.
    2) Highlight the 1st item which is 'Preferences' and press “OK”.
    3) Highlight the 1st item which is 'Set Language' and press “OK”.
    4) Choose English from the list. After that any instructions should be in English.

  • Adobe Reader often prints garbled text

Hi, I am printing PDFs that contain a custom true type font. The font is added in Windows Fonts.
Sometimes, when I open such PDF, the text is grabled and I need to either wait a few seconds for the text to become readable or close and reopen the file, and then the text is readable.
And even if I manage to make the text readable, when I print such PDFs sometimes the text is grabled again. Why does this happen and can it be fixed?
    Thanks.

    stays that way

  • Prints garble intermittently. Some parts of pages print fine, others have characters replaced.

Computer is Windows XP. Printer is wired network connection. Printer is new OfficeJet Pro 8600 N911g and has the latest drivers and firmware.

    Found this fix..
    http://routingbyrumor.wordpress.com/2007/12/30/my-adobe-acrobat-pdf-files-are-printing-garbage-text-...
Today, after reprinting the same PDF several times, and getting garbage out each time, I clicked “print”, and started looking around in the print window that opens for my HP 7260 printer. When I print PDFs, I get an “Advanced” button in the bottom left corner of the print window that I can click on. There are a bunch of “greyed-out” postscript options in this window, but there is also a check box that says “Print as image”. I decided to check this box and click “OK”, which closes the advanced printing options window, then I clicked “OK” to send the PDF to the printer. I think doing this causes the entire document to be sent to the printer as “raster graphics”, rather than as PCL containing a mix of graphics and ASCII text.
Voila! The PDF printed correctly. I’m not certain that checking the “Print as image” option was the reason, but it’s worth trying if you are having this problem, and you have this option in your print setup.

  • Reader 8.1.2 :  garbled / scrambled text when printing

After upgrading to version 8.1.2 from 7.1, our work place noticed that certain PDF documents will print garbled text if the Reader window is closed prior to the document being completely processed in the Print Queue. (Windows XP) These documents are PDF files that use an active script to import information from the user's log-in to fill in various fields (name, birth date, etc...). For example, if you print a document that is 10 pages and you close the Reader window prior to the 10th page being printed, every page printed after the closed window will be printed with garbled/scrambled text. This issue is not present before version 8. Its as if Adobe 8 maintains a link to spool/stream data from the Reader window to the print queue. Has anybody else experienced this or any suggestions for a fix? (other than rolling back to version 7) thnks

    Hi,
I am having a similar issue with Ver 8.1.2 running over cirtix with a similar setup to Jans-Peter.
The difference is that Reader opens fine but when you try to edit preferences it crashes.
This only happens on an citrix session. If I run reader on the server directly it works OK.
However after reading above I can replicate the problem on the server by moving or deleting the ADMPlugin.apl file.
    Any further ideas at all?
