HP m6-1002tx

Dear sir,
we have purchased HP pavillion m6 model laptop  before 2 Yrs. Now suddenly 2 sides (left&right) of Hinge support stem from Bottom are broken .
i think it has to be a Manfacture defective because that stem was not harder than lcd Hinges  . so its easily broken while open and close the laptops.
pls put a very strong material(stem from Bottom to LCD hinges) on that area to reduce this type of issue.
we are not happy this product from HP.
WIth regards,
kannan.k

  • HP Pavillion dm4 - 1002tx Entertainment Notebook - Hardware Upgrade

    Hi,
Does anyone can help me answers my silly questions regarding above subject. I have just installed a simulation games on my laptop HP PaviIlion dm4 - 1002tx Entertainment Notebook. I have problem on running it and beleive that my laptop system doesnt meet the requirements.
    Games Installed Minimum Requirement:
OS :  Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8
    Processor : 2.66GHz Intel Core2 Duo E6750 or 2.8GHz AMD Athlon 64 X2 5600+
    Memory : 2GB RAM
Graphics : 256 MB DirectX 9 / NVIDIA GeForce 8600 GT or ATI RAdeon HD 2600 XT
Hard Drive : 12 GB HD Space
    Sound : DirectX 9.0c - compliant
    Games Installed Recommended :
OS :  Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8
    Processor : 3.1GHz Intel Core i3-540 or 3.3GHz Athlon II X3 455
    Memory : 4GB RAM
Graphics : 512 MB NVIDIA GT 240 or 512 MB ATI RAdeon HD 5670
Hard Drive : 12 GB HD Space
    Sound : DirectX 9.0c - compliant
    My HP Pavillion dm4 - 1002tx has 4GB RAM and Intel Core i5 -520M 2.26Ghz.
1- Can I upgrade my Processor to meet the requirements above?
2- What will be the type of upgrade to be done?
3- Is it possible to upgrade my processor from 2.26Ghz Intel Core i5 into Intel® Core™ i5-4690K Processor
    (6M Cache, up to 3.90 GHz) ?
    Please need badly your help.

No you absolutely cannot upgrade the processor from a first generation Core i5 to a 4th generation. The plug (socket) in the motherboard is not the same. The processor you refer to is not even a laptop processor, but you could not even install an equivalent laptop processor. Your real problem is I believe you have the Intel graphics, which do not meet the minimum specs in any way. You could install a processor that would be in the range necessary to play the game but that is not the whole issue. The fastest procesor you can install would be:
    Intel® Core™ i7 processor 640M, 2.80-GHz (SC turbo up to 3.33 GHz), 4-MB L3 cache
You could also install a motherboard with better graphics that are between the minimum and recommended specs.
    ATI Mobility Radeon™ HD6370 with 1024-MB of dedicated video memory [128-MB×16 DDR3, 800-MHz])
Whatever game that is has some moderately high recommended specs, but not super high. HP does currently make consumer laptops that would meet those specs. There is just no way to upgrade yours to get the necessary video performance to play it without buying a new processor and motherboard, which will not be much less than a new laptop.

  • HP Envy 6 1002TX Broken Lid

Got the unit repaired three times already but the problem pops back after a month or so.  It's out of warranty now, so will cost about or more than INR15k for repair which I can't afford. I want this laptop fixed, I bought is for INR 58,0000 and this is the situation and HP is helping, I am being asked to pay for the damage that is because of cheap parts being used. I don't wanna pay anything. Now, the lid is broken, keyboard is fried up and the unit cannot take graphics intensive tasks, so it is now good for nothing. fix this laptop or I will be writing about this everywhere.  NOTE: I AM NOT SPENDING A DIME ON THIS LAPTOP, I WANT EVERYTHING FIXED AS IT IS YOUR FAULT. Full Story Here:http://wp.me/p5QTxW-1n5 Here is the prev case:http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Display-and-Video/HP-Envy-6-1002TX-Lid-Problem/td-p/4895008

  • How do i decrease the Start-Up time of my HP Pavilion m6-1002tx running on Windows 7 64-Bit?

when i bought it 3 months ago it used to start-up fast
but now it takes almost the triple time to start-up
also file transfer is slow and background apps take time to load on start-up
    i use Quick-Heal Antivirus
Disk-Cleanup is done once in a fortnight
    please help

    Hi,
    Try the following.
Start the notebook and let Windows fully load.  Hold down the Windows key and press R.  In to the Run box type msconfig and hit enter.  In the following window, click the Start up tab, remove the tick next to each start up item and then click Apply to make the change.
    Restart the notebook.
If there is no diiference in the time Windows takes to load, just re-enable all start-up items adn let me know.
If the notebook does now start faster, re-enable One start up item at a time, click Apply and restart to check if it still starts ok.  Keep doing this until you encounter the slowdown problem and you will know the last program you set to start is causing this issue.

  • Configuring 32GB SSD while installing new clean OS in hp envy 4-1002tx

My original HDD drive was broken. Now I have original Windows 8 Pro install disk and new HDD 500GB drive.  Original SDD 32GB drive is good. Is any way to install Windows 8 Pro to this two disk together like in one disk (SDD will be for hibernating and accelerate system operations) ? Maybe I must install Windows 8 Pro only to standard HDD drive (500GB) and later after install Intel Rapid Technology (special drivers and technology) I must create RAID disk connecting existing HDD disk with SDD disk for best performance ?
Also I dont know how to create RAID disks..as in my bios I cant see INTEL OPTION ROM for creating RAID Volumes.
    Someone please help.

    Hi @cruiser91 ,
These are recoverable downloads located at the Driver page. I would install all at the driver-Chipset.
A RAID array appears to the operating system to be a single logical drive, regardless of how many individual drives are part of the RAID array. Both hard disks can be used, and while it’s advised that matching drives are used in a single array for best performance.
    Thanks.

  • Sound quality is not as it used to be! after installing windows 8.1

i have a hp envy 6-1002tx laptop which came with windows7 HB but i upgraded to windows 8.1 recently.
since then the sound qualtiy is not the same as it used to be.. it's not loud any more. i have to keep the voulme at 100 to listen. while back when i was using windows 7, even on 60, it was loud enough to be aublible.
i have installed the sound driver recommended by the HP site for my laptop.
there is no support for windows 8.1 from HP.

    I completely agree!
Not only that but if you look at the date of the audio driver, it was released almost a year before W8.1 came out!
So, how can it be for W8.1?
Just for kicks, try this driver from a very new model with the IDT audio...

  • Cannot sign in with fingerprint in windows 8.1

    Hi all,
I have a HP pavilion m6-1002tx. It came with windows 7.        I recently upgraded to windows 8.1 pro.
I downloaded the drivers for it from my product's page. There is no Simplepass in windows 8.1 section.
    http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?os=4158&lc=en&cc=in&dlc=en&sw_lang=&product=5269...
Now I am not able to use my fingerprint reader to sign in with simplepass . It used to work fine with windows 8 and 7.
But while signing in  to windows biometrics I get this strange message "An error occurred while processing your fingerprint".
I have no idea of what to do next.
The details of my fingerprint drivers are:
    Validity Sensors (WBF) (PID=0018)

Its painful to type the whole password everytime while having necessary hardware that does the job.

Hello If you are recieving this message before Windows loada up then goto BIOS and clear the fingerprint data.
The driver for WIndows 8 will work fine with Windows 8.1.

  • Overcllocking Processor of An Ultrabook/Sleekbook

    I have HP Envy 6 1002TX Sleekbook or Ultrabook i don't know.
what's the point of having this laptop if it doesn't even provide adequete power, idon't think 1.70GHZ isof any use.
tell me exactly what's the point of having a dedicated VRAM of 2GB with this CPU if this can't even fullfill the min requement for most of the games?
So, at last i would like to ask if i can overclock this computer or must get it replaced by any other computer:-
What an Ultrabook Promises                             What this Laptop is giving
1.Faster Boot time                                                1.Boots in more than 40 seconds even slower than my core2duo PC.
    2.Fast Response                                                  2.Very bad response can't even run Photoshop,Eclipse IDE,Firefox
and  Adobe  Reader Simultanuosly.Which is very easy for my core2duo.
3.Good Graphics                                                   3.Can't even run games smoothly.
4.10 hours of battery                                             4.i have not seen it work more than 3 hours in power saver mode with min
                                                                                         brightness
the only unique thing about this latop is it's look, it can't even match my 4 years old core2duo desktop with just 3GB ram (INR 24,000) I never expected this from HP......

and then upgrade to 8 and if any problem is found can i revert back to win7 using this technique, internet says yes but i am not  sure for this system so can you please tell me?

  • Lapop upgrade

what things can be upgraded in
HP ENVY 6-1002tx Notebook PC ...RAM,hard disk.....

RAM and hard drive; not the CPU. The CPU is soldered to the motherboard. It can take up to 16 gigs of RAM. Keep in mind the Sleekbook is very tightly constructed since it is so skinny and it is much harder to work on than an average laptop.
    Here is the Service Manual:
    Manual
It uses a hard drive system where there is a regular mechanical SATA 2.5 inch wide and 7mm thin hard drive plus a small mSSD hard drive which acts to speed up the mechanical drive. This system works well but is not as fast as a single solid state hard drive. You can replace the mechanical drive with a solid state drive and either remove the mSSD drive or put it to work as a regular storage drive with a drive letter or theoretically you could get a bigger mSSD and use that as the main drive, just not in conjunction with a regular hard drive. You need to have a degree in computer engineering however, to get the mSSD working as the boot drive.
Even upgrading the memory is a bit of an ordeal. These laptops are not made to be worked on by end users, but it can be done.
If you need more help post back for specific recommendations.

Two things appear to be occurring:
    a) You don't have a registration with your provider.  Maybe they don't require that.  But if they do, no numbers are trying to be registered.
    b) The inbound call is not matching an internal extension, and as a result is matching a pattern and routing back out to your ITSP.
You can take care of both of these with:
    ephone-dn  1
    number 1003 secondary no-reg primary
    name The Fishers
Now, make a call to that number you used for the secondary number.  Assuming a phone is assigned to DN 1 and registered, it will ring that phone.

  • Battery - difference in last letters of laptop model (is it important?)

    Hello Forum!
I want to buy a new battery for my HP Pavilion dv5 1032eg. I already found a battery which I can buy but there is a difference in the last two letters (in my case I need "eg"). What do they stand for? Do I have to consider them when buying a new battery?
Below you can see the two types of the Pavilion 1000 series which are listed on the site. They are the same model as mine but only have different letters at the end; el and tx.
    Thank you very much!
