HP M8100E Windows 10 drivers

I ran the windows 10 upgrade software and it said my computer could be upgraded to windows 10, but when I tried to install it I had problems with my screen flashing. I revert back to my Windows 7 Ultimate and contacted Microsoft Support. After several hour(twice) with a Microsoft tech they tried to update it and the same thing happened. Does HP have windows 10 drivers I can use with my  HP M8100E? I checked for updated drivers and they say mine are current. Can anyone help!! Thanks.

Hello , I have read your post on how your desktop computer shows a flashing screen after upgrading to Windows 10. I would be happy to help you in this matter! According to the available list of supported drivers for your desktop computer, there is currently no Windows 10 software published at the moment.  In the meantime, I recommend following the steps in this document on HP Products - Where do I find Windows 10 drivers and software for my model? I hope this helps! Best Regards

I am done with Windows 8. The needle in the coffin is UEFI and dual booting linux.
Is there another laptop model I can pull Win7(64bit) drivers from?  I know my model does not have Win7 drivers directly available from HP but I see some people are getting replies from HP to use another models drivers.
    Thanks guys.

    ****Disclaimer*****
HP doesn't recommend the installation of Windows 7 on a consumer computer shipped with Windows 8, nor will it support the installation of Windows 7. HP may not provide Windows 7 drivers and suitable drivers may not be available for the hardware in the computer. Also, Windows 7 may not support some of the hardware or software features designed for the computer.
Make sure you create your HP Recovery Discs or USB Flash Recovery media before modifying or changing ANYTHING.
    You will need to DISABLE "Secure Boot" and ENABLE "Legacy Support" in the "BIOS Secure Boot cofiguration" on the settings page shown below, before you can attempt to install Windows 7;
Additionally, as the hard drive is most likely partitioned as GPT, you will have to boot the computer using the "UEFI - CD/DVD drive" or "UEFI - USB Flash drive" options in the "F9" boot menu. If "UEFI - CD/DVD drive",  "UEFI - USB Flash drive" or something to that effect doesn't exist in the boot menu, please post a screen shot and/or descibe the listed boot options.
I suggest using Windows 7 SP1 for the best intallation experience. If you need Windows SP1, please see "How to Install Windows 7 Without the Disc" to download and create your own Windows 7 SP1 disc. If the DVD refuses to boot as UEFI, you may need to use a USB Flash drive (may require DISABLING "Fast Boot" in the BIOS) as the installation media. Please download the Windows 7 USB/DVD download tool to create a Windows 7 SP1 USB Flash drive. Please note that some computers may not recognize a valid UEFI enabled USB Flash drive if it is formated as NTFS and may require a FAT32 formatted USB Flash drive. You should be able to make a FAT32 formatted Windows 7 installation USB Flash drive using Rufus, UNetbootin, Universal USB Installer, or WiNToBootic. I like Rufus, as it has options for "GPT partition scheme for UEFI computer" and "FAT32".
    If you still have missing or unknown devices after installing the drivers, please post the Windows Device Manager's "Hardware Ids" (just the string of text will do) for those devices as shown in the example below;
If you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to ask.

    <span class="postdetails">Windows Vista Drivers for 820 and 66
I hate to say this about E-MU but the way they are dealing with Vista Drivers is unprofessional. I am a repeat customer of Creative products and was so impressed by my old Platinum eX that I bought a second to run duals for tons of audio processing. That was back in the day. Then I jumpped ship and tried out an M-Audio Firewire 40. That did not last too long beforei was completely unimpressed. So I came back to Creative... Purchased a 820 in the box. So impressed I turned around and purchased a 66 in the box just 8 months later. Both ran smooth as butter... All until i just recently built my new system designed primarily with audio production in mind.
With a setup like this, who needs a mac?
    AMD Athlon X2 x64 Dual Core +6000 3.0 Ghz
    2 Gigs Corsair
Samsung SyncMaster 206BW 2" Wide Screen
    EVGA NVidia 9700s 256 DDR3 Graphics
    SATAs up the yin
and a PCIMIA to PCI Dock
    All under Vista Ultimate OEM
    And Guess what?
    Months into RTM of Vista...
E-MU is caught pushing release dates.
Last month it said they would release beta drivers middle of April...
I waited, patiently I might add.
I waited<waited some more, I try running xp drivers... computer wont even try to install them properly.
My software waits, computer waits, turns into a gameing machine just because my all together 600 dollar investments in Creative are not important enough to leld me the drivers i need to be producti've in what i love.
I need x64 drivers stat. I need them working, I need them installable without a glitch, a hitch, no driver signing problems, no questions, no fuss no muss. I find it ironic that you guys at E-MU are willing to jump right in there and make sure to have drivers compatable for you new products, yet faithful advocats of the most powerful soundcards you have are sitting here dead in the water because you dont find it nessesary to place priority on ready and waiting end users who have purchased long term support buy investing large amounts of moola into hardware from your company.
Come on, its not like the 820 or the 66 are exactly legacy technology. We are talking about Hardware that is only two years old and should be usable for up to 6 years. This is deffinatly a strike against the company and just goes to show where Creative stands.
I have stood by waiting in silence for a very long time.
Now i think my time has come to tell how i feel and i believe there are alot of others out there that feel the same. the only items that do not work soothly are my E-MUs... go figure.
And I have been looking forward to all i can do running both of them side by side.
Oh yes, and that link posted above to the beta news for vista... its a joke. open up your betas, and have a real dev tell us what the hang ups are... At least give us real concreate reasons why it is taking so long.
with that said, when you guys get yoru act together and get me some drivers, I will sit happy as a lark.
    My thoughts for today.
    ~Alpha-Beta ReaKKtor

    Hello Silas,
    sorry for my bad english
I already checked that page. On the first time I was trying to install Vista on a clean hard drive. The installation process finishes without errors but after installation Vista shows me a lot of error messages, mostly about unknown hardware. So I installed all available drivers I have found on Toshiba web site. It not helped me too much, hardware problems still remains. I could not find out what exactly causes probles. Finally I decide to install XP and then upgrade to Vista. Now everything seems to be ok. :D
There was some hardware problems but much easier to resolve. It seems to me that Toshiba did not provide all the drivers, for example StarForce Protection drivers. Vista did not recognized this hardware on the first time.
    Now it works!

  • Windows Vista drivers?

Does anybody have any idea when Windows Vista drivers will be released for the iPod?
I just got a 1 Gig Nano as a gift, and can't do anything with it. Well, I can charge the battery from my system. I don't have a receipt, so I can't exchange it for a 4 Gig. And I don't have the drivers, so I can't add music.
I may eventually be able to borrow somebody else's computer to add music to the thing, but I would rather like to be able to use my iPod with my computer.

How helpful of Microsoft to now start using acronyms to name its products. Take VISTA for instance, its new operaing system....it is now much later than originally planned in being delivered, it has less features than users were expecting, but at least it lives up to it's name.

  • HP Pavilion p7-1410 & Windows 7 drivers... do they exist?

Client just bought a HP Pavilion p7-1410 (Windows 8 pre-installed). Their sole booking engine they employ currently only operates through Internet Explorer 8, which is not supported by Windows 8. This is something they have no control over, as the company they have their service through has yet to upgrade their software to even IE9.  It's not a simple matter of upgrading browsers and even less simple to change the vendor/software solution. They have to work within the limits of the vendor software.
Currently, when a new computer is purchased, I have to go in and uninstall IE9. During that process, the system installs IE8. I then set the Automatic Updates to ignore any IE9 updates. Again, as Windows 8 no longer supports IE8, I have to find another solution.
The only solution I can see is to downgrade the OS to Windows 7. This isn't a real issue as they have open licensed Windows 7 for install on new machines. The issue I am having (before I begin the downgrade process) is I see no drivers for this particular computer's individual components (network/graphics/audio/devices) of the Windows 7 flavor, only Windows 8 is listed on the website.
My question is are there Window 7 drivers for this particular computer or do I have to have the client return this machine for a computer that will be compatible with Windows 7 (drivers)?
This is a stock machine purchased through Office Depot (i3 Core (2nd gen)/8GB RAM/1.5TB HDD/Windows 8 (x64)). The client is upgrading from an IBM ThinkCentre with Windows XP Pro (yes I know... so please no jibes/jokes).
All serious, constructive replies are greatly appreciated.
    This question was solved.

    Hi:
It looks like you can install the W7 drivers listed from this model which uses the same hardware.

There also was an option to press F8 wich would lead me to another vluescreen that gave me different option i tried all of them and it kept showing me this error
I do not have any windows 8 install disc since it was preset on my computer and i don't know what to do if anyone can help me please reply to this and thank you for your time

This is clearly an issue with the drivers in your boot image. Yes, for boot image driver issues you must update the boot image and ensure it's been updated on the DPs for it to be effective.
It happens before you get a change to select a TS because its an issue with the boot image itself which must fully load for anything task sequence wise to actually happen.
When testing boot image image issues, always make sure that you know which boot image you are updating and which one was downloaded to the system as its possible they are two different things.
Also, for SP1 CU3, the boot images are based on Win 8 so make sure that you are using Win 8 compatible drivers in the boot image itself.

  • Boot camp 4 can't install windows support drivers

    Hi everyone,
I have the new imac 27" with thunderbolt and preinstalled Lion. They dont give you a CD.
I run Boot Camp assistant (version 4.0) and try to install windows on a purchased DVD Windows 7 x64 ( i am a recent convert to mac but still need some windows proggys.)
Ok so once I run the installation It asks me to download the windows support drivers... I do this but then it stops 3/4 through the process and comes up with an error "can't install windows support drivers".
Do any of you out know how to fix this???
Also If I dont use the option to update the software before installing and just select install windows 7 (second option) from a disc. It installs windows fine BUT it wont install any of the network, usb, camera, graphics and sound drivers. so basicaly I am blocked from the internet for windows to update the drivers. I also cant get the driver files from another computer as the mac in windows mode can recognised usb sticks as the drivers arent installed.
I need help urgently on this as it is doing my head
    Thanks in advance.
    Daniel!

    Yes, but.
Open Network Preferences>Network>Advanced>Proxies and uncheck everything (try Passive Mode on, and off, but no auto Proxies)
    And try again.

  • Lenovo g550 windows xp drivers will not load

Help!  I purchased a Lenovo G550 yesterday and am in need of assistance.  Unfortuantely it doesn't appear that there is any way to contact Lenovo, the website doesn't show any method of even emailing them without an IBM service tag (which unless you are corporate user you can't get).
I purchased a lenovo g550 yesterday configuration is 3gb ram 160Gb HDD.  Upon booting the system I discovered that in fact users only get access to about 100Gb of the harddrive the rest is set up under multiple hidden drives.  I the system came with windows 7 home edition.  I need windows xp.  So through several hours of work I was able to create some unallocated space on the harddrive.  I loaded my copy of windows xp professional to this space and since windows automatically selects the drive name it is drive D:
I went to the lenovo website prior to loading xp and manually downloaded every driver from the site (very time consuming, I saw another way via a forum but was not able to locate it on the lenovo website).  Immendiately after loading xp and rebooting I loaded the intel chipset driver.  Then rebooted.  No other drivers will load for any of the other pieces of hardware.  All of THEM, everyone crashes with an error message that there is not enough disk space on c: to load.  I would guess that there isn't since c: is a 200mb hidden drive created by Lenovo.
Does anyone have a work around for this problem with the lenovo drivers?  This has turned into a multi-hour project for something very simple - putting an alternative operating system on the computer.  I cannot put xp as the c: drive because of the lenovo hidden partition is named c:.  I don't want to delete windows 7, as I expect to move to it in the next year but right now I several thousand dollars worth of software in xp and need to use that software.
I sure would appreciate any assistance :-)  Again the issue is the lenovo windows xp drivers, everyone of them excluding the intel chipset driver will not load under windows xp when windows xp is loaded onto the d: partition.  they all say they want to load onto the c: parition which is not an option.
thanks in advance for any help and if anyone knows how to get in contact with lenovo would love that also.

Well if you do not want win7 all together, then just delete all the partitions and install your XP. But if your not wanting to mess up this drive to be able to use the win7 later then just buy a cheap HDD to put XP on. --> http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822148452 $10 off and free shipping. but being that you already tried installing XP then you already messed up win7 anyways(if you did not make the restore disks), your better off just deleting and redoing XP.

    News Updates
11.4.09 - BIOS Release Fix Switchable Graphics and More
The new bios version 67 fixes switchable graphics issues from before and also enables VT mode for Intel's processor. Click here to download.
3.15.10 APS driver updates  see links below
4.28.10 - BIOS update in test to address power consumption when using switchable graphics and resuming from suspend / sleep state.  Will update once the BIOS is released to the web.
    Problems with U330 drivers:
    -APS is not accurate
Solution: Download and apply lattest APS drivers.
    Download 32 bit Win 7
    Download 64 bit Win 7
-Switchable graphics not working on both x86 and x64 platform
Solution: Download latest BIOS from here then flash your laptop and reinstall ATI Discrete Drivers.
-Screen brightness cannot be adjusted if switchable graphics is selected in the BIOS.
Solution: Should work now after you flash BIOS and reinstall discrete drivers.
-Windows restart will be stuck at a black screen (Not sure if this is related to drivers but most likely)
Solution: Should work now after you flash BIOS and reinstall discrete drivers.
-Secondary Display and Extended Display do not work
Solution: Should work now after you flash BIOS and reinstall discrete drivers.
Please send me a PM if you found solution to any of the problems listed above so I can update the thread. Thank you!
    Recommendations:
    Run Discrete Graphics
I've been playing around with the crippled drivers lately. I found that it's probably best to run discrete graphics since Intel GPU isn't really saving you power at all. I'm using drivers available through ATI's website. I'm getting around 3 hrs with power saving mode with some adjustments. My brightness adjustment works with ATI drivers and Window's dimming capability works. So in the long run that will probably save you more power than running Intel GPU. If anyone is able to get better battery life please let me know.
    Disable APS
APS is not working properly so it's better not to have it at all in my opinion. It's constantly stopping the hard drive even though there are no strong vibrations or movement.
APS drivers have been updated and are reported to resolve prior issues.

    Hi,
I think that APS is not working properly. It is too acurate. When I just move my laptop in APS application I can see that my laptop is shaking for a 30 seconds and then my hard drive is stopped. I knew that everything couldn't be great. How can they  (Lenovo) publish drivers without testing them?? Now there are two drivers, first the MOST important - switchable graphics - and now APS. I am just wondering why always Ideapads have to have problems with drivers?? We were waitng for a year without any support and now they give us faulty drivers. CONGARTUATIONS Lenovo!!!

  • E-MU USB 0404, what the hell is taking so long with Windows 7 drivers?

Windows 7 beta was out ages ago, the RC has been out for some time.
    WTF is taking so long?
Someone want to tell the developers I have a $200 USB audio device that I can't use with my operating system and to get off their lazy asses and put at least a beta out there.
    Ridiculous.

Woah simmer down. Have you tried using the Windows Vista drivers? I was informed that the Vista drivers are working well in the final version of Windows 7.
No they're not. They function but they're not working well. ASIO is OK, but try using Media Player for more than 5 minutes (Win 7 build 7100 x64, AMD Phenom x2/910, Asus MB) and you get timing glitches, sometimes the sample rate/bit depth gets crushed for 5 or 10 seconds. It's like listening to a dirty CD that keeps skipping slightly. Also, the sound just dies at reandom intervals, necessitating a switch in the windows control panel from 16 to 24 bit or back again to get it to 'wake up'.
The Vista drivers are 18 months old. Although the Win 7 driver model is similar to Vista it's not the exact same, or other companies wouldn't be bothering to put out Win7 drivers. Other companies...whose hardware I am much more likely to buy instead of Emu/Creative next time (even though I have purchased multiple 1820s and 0404s for myself and clients over the last 5 years). Heck, even the Creative consumer cards have beta Windows drivers. Someone at Emu needs a kick in the pants and today it's you, I guess.
'Problem? What problem?' is not support. It's the voice of failure.

  • Windows 7 drivers - which are essential?

I have found the Windows 7 drivers on the Tosh download site - there are 32 for my model (PLL20E). Can anyone give any advice on which of these are 'essential'?
For info, I have downloaded and installed the following:
    BIOS update to 1.60
    Bluetooth Monitor
    Bluetooth Stack
    Hardware Setup
Touch Pad driver - Synaptics (can't get the scroll to work though)
    USB Sleep and Charge
    Value Added Pack
    Webcam driver
    Any help / advice appreciated.
    thanks,

    Hi
try to download the drivers from toshiba US site. Here you can find a lot of NB200 Win7 driver.
    http://www.csd.toshiba.com/cgi-bin/tais/support/jsp/modelContent.jsp?ct=DL&os=&category=&moid=2336268& rpn=PLL25U&modelFilter=NB+105-SP2801A&selCategory=3&selFamily=2336267&=2336268
that are for NB205 but work on NB200 as well.
For the touch pad you need the Alps driver to have scroll function.

How long did you wait for the download to run?  The last time I downloaded the Windows support files for Boot Camp, it was going very slowly, so I swapped away to another task.  Several minutes later I came back and it had moved a little, but not much, so I went on with other things.  When I got back to it several hours later, the download had completed.  Perhaps you just need to let it go overnight to perform the downloads...
