Flash Player is no longer supported on OS X 10.5.8. The last version to support OS X 10.5.8 is Flash Player 10.3. Flash Player 10.3 is available for download from this page: http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/archived-flash-player-versions.html.

Error message when installing the OS Lion.

When trying to install the OS Lion an error message occurred saying "The software could not be verified. It may have been corrupted or tampered with during downloading." On the app store it says it was already installed. What could be the problem? What can I do?

I read your post carefully the first time. I just reread it carefully again.
You say you downloaded and attempted to install Lion. You got the error message it may have been corrupted during download...
Even if the App Store says it was installed, you are allowed to redownload it and the license is good for 4 Macs. You won't even lose 1 license by doing this.
You should be able to do that on the "Purchases" tab of MAS.

"Inkjet 4 Quit Unexpectedly" error message after installing Snow Leopard, C410 printer

Can't get printer to print after installing Snow Leopard. C410 Photosmart Premium All in One Printer. Keeps saying "Inkjet 4 Quit Unexpectedly". Wireless test says everything is fine.

If you are using Snow Leopard or Lion and have HP software for pre-Snow Leopard (either from a CD not marked as compatible with 10.6 or you recently upgraded to Snow Leopard or Lion and had the HP software on your Mac before you upgraded - even if you did a standard uninstall of the old software or installed new software over the top of it) you must uninstall the software using the 'scrubber' option:
Go to Applications/Hewlett Packard/ click on HP Uninstaller
Click on Continue
Highlight your device on the left pane
Press and hold Control + Alt + Cmd keys on the keyboard simultaneously while you click on Uninstall <<<< This IS the Scrubber Option, there is no button labeled "Scrubber"
There will be a pop up that asks if you are sure you want to uninstall ALL hp software. (At this point, if you continue, any HP printers you have installed will need to be reinstalled)
Click Continue and let it finish
Restart your Mac
Download and install this: support.apple.com/kb/DL907
Now reset the printing system:
- Sys Prefs, Print & Fax
- Right (control) click in the rectangle listing your printers and select Reset Printing System.
WARNING - this will delete ALL of your printers!
Finally, get the latest software for your printer from the "Support & Drivers" link at the top of this page.

KB2992611 "not applicable" error message when installing on server 2012R2

Attempting to patch my 2012r2 servers for the new KB2992611 schannel critical bug, see: https://technet.microsoft.com/library/security/MS14-066. I downloaded the 2012r2 version from here: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=44643
and then attempt to install on several 2012r2 servers.
I get a message saying "The update is not applicable to your computer." on every single 2012r2 standard server I have tried. Anyone else seeing this or have any ideas how to resolve? The 2012 version of the patch went on just fine to
a 2012 setup.
Edit: also seeing the same thing when I try to install the appropriate version for my windows 8.1 desktop client.

You probably will need to call it in. Almost all files are marked not applicable. Security / Hotfix support is always free.

Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the icon grid.
Step 1
For this step, the title of the Console window should be All Messages. If it isn't, select
SYSTEM LOG QUERIES ▹ All Messages
from the log list on the left. If you don't see that list, select
View ▹ Show Log List
from the menu bar at the top of the screen.
In the top right corner of the Console window, there's a search box labeled Filter. Initially the words "String Matching" are shown in that box. Enter the name of the crashed application or process. For example, if iTunes crashed, you would enter "iTunes" (without the quotes.)
Each message in the log begins with the date and time when it was entered. Select the messages from the time of the last crash, if any. Copy them to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. Paste into a reply to this message by pressing command-V.
☞ The log contains a vast amount of information, almost all of which is irrelevant to solving any particular problem. When posting a log extract, be selective. A few dozen lines are almost always more than enough.
Please don't indiscriminately dump thousands of lines from the log into this discussion.
Please don't post screenshots of log messages—post the text.
☞ Some private information, such as your name, may appear in the log. Anonymize before posting.

In the Console window, select
DIAGNOSTIC AND USAGE INFORMATION ▹ User Diagnostic Reports
(not Diagnostic and Usage Messages) from the log list on the left. There is a disclosure triangle to the left of the list item. If the triangle is pointing to the right, click it so that it points down. You'll see a list of crash reports. The name of each report starts with the name of the process, and ends with ".crash". Select the most recent report related to the process in question. The contents of the report will appear on the right. Use copy and paste to post the entire contents—the text, not a screenshot.
I know the report is long, maybe several hundred lines. Please post all of it anyway.
☞ If you don't see any reports listed, but you know there was a crash, you may have chosen Diagnostic and Usage Messages from the log list. Choose DIAGNOSTIC AND USAGE INFORMATION instead.
In the interest of privacy, I suggest that, before posting, you edit out the “Anonymous UUID,” a long string of letters, numbers, and dashes in the header of the report, if it’s present (it may not be.)
☞ Please don’t post other kinds of diagnostic report—they're very long and rarely helpful.

Error message when installing quicktime/itunes

PLease help! I continue to get this error message when trying to install quicktime HKEY_LOCAL-MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\Quicktim e.
What should I do? In lamens terms please, not very computer literate.
