HP Mini 110 - 1000 Factory restore HOW???

I am trying to factory (hard) restore / reset my HP Mini 110 - 1000 to original factory settings (with all hard drive erased to original factory condition).
There is no restore function, no cd drive. Each time I do a restore, it takes it back to a version that my files are still viewable. I want to wipe the hard drive clean and take the netbook back to original factory condition, please help. I have tried everything just about.

After trying unsuccessfully to reinstall windows I am at a loss. It gets about a third of the way installing the software on the system and then it says it failed. I ordered by both the model number (110-3000 , or product wy699av) and serial number {Removed for privacy}. I am at a loss as to what to do, as I have bought a usb recovery media and it won't continue the install. Nowhere on the netbook is a sticker declaring the os or the model number so i researched by the other model #'s i found listed..Please help, and thanks.

I dont know how they had windows starter on this unit, but the sticker is for xp. Guess I bought a recovery usb stick that is usless to me, and now I'm stuck with it. I also checked the bios and it said it had a non vista os, after I found out how to get into it. I still don't understand how I was able to order the win 7 starter recovery usb, even after I input the serial number into the form. I would have thought it wouldn't allow me to order an incorrect os.

No when I did the factory restore, it took all the information as well as apps that were intended for my Iphone 4 nothing for Siri...
When I hold the home button, it just comes up as voice control and not siri...

X61s (7668CTO) blue screens during factory restore - how to get working restore discs?

How can I get factory restore discs that actually work? My X61s was purchased with a Vista Ultimate OEM (32-bit) installation, but when I attempted to do a factory restore this weekend using the recovery disks with the laptop, the recovery process complained that the second disk was not the correct disk. If I follow the prompts to continue it blue screens with a "Page Fault in Non-Paged area" error. I then tried to use the version on the recovery partition (not the created discs) but it also blue screens with the "Page Fault in Non-Paged area."
How can I get factory restore disks that actually work to recover my Vista Ultimate OEM installation to the factory settings? I am (just barely) still inside my warranty period, so want to get this resolved ASAP. The only other recovery CDs it came with are for XP, but the laptop was purchased and shipped with Vista Ultimate and I don't want to downgrade to XP (if those discs still work).
I could no longer boot into Windows or do a factory recovery. I have installed Linux so I can work again, but I would like to have the option of booting Vista if I need it.

Is there any way to recover deleted photos on my iPad mini after a factory restore?

My daughter forgot her password to her iPad mini and we had to restore it to factory settings. She has never backed up her data to iTunes. This is with iOS6 on iPhone.
Go to Settings > iTunes & App Stores. Click on the Apple ID field & it should give the choice to sign out. Then sign into your other Apple ID.

HP mini 110-1000 password reset

I have an HP Mini110-1000 that has a missing BIOS password. After three attempts the error reported is CNU94183RQ. Any suggestions on how to adjust the time and date in the BIOS. Also I'm interested in upgrading the A-Data 8gb SSD to a larger unit. Any suggestions or recommendations?

HP Mini 110 trying to reset to factory settings

I am trying to restore my HP mini 110 to factory settings due to a really bad virus. I have tried holding down all the "F" buttons and nothing has worked. Does anyone have any ideas as to how I can get it back to factory settings?

If tapping the F11 key at the beginning of the HP welcome screen fails to launch the recovery manager program, then you will need to order a set of recovery disks from HP.

How to factory restore hp mini 110

Hi,I have an HP mini 110, and it came with all of the previous owners information on it. I would like to reset it to factory settings, but I am having difficulty doing this. Here are the things I have tried: -I read the manual online where it said to hit the "esc" key repeatedly during the “F10 = BIOS Setup Options” message is displayed. However, this doesn't open the "system restore" page as the manual describes. It takes me to a "Windows Boot Manager" page where "microsoft Windows XP" is my only option. -I also read some suggestions about hitting F6 while on that page, so it goes to the Roxio recovery page. However, the earliest option is still her information. I also tried the undo button and wound up where I started. -I also read here that you can go to the start menu and click on "recovery manager" to reset to factory settings, but It's not on here. (Also, there is no disc drive.) -I watched the HP video on this, but it was a rcovery in order to get files back. According to this page, I want a destructive recovery where everything is deleted. I apologize for the lenght of this message, and sincerely thank anyone who helps in advance!

I wanted to answer this too because I am selling my HP Mini and I cannot use the keyboard due to the ZIP connector for the keyboard cable detaching from the motherboard. This method can be used if the keyboard doesn't work but the touchpad does. The reason this is important is the F buttons on start up cannot be accessed when there is no working keyboard.
Boot up computer. When you get to Login screen and it asks for your password, navigate cursor to password box and click once in dialog box. Use Touchpad for this.
Click on the small blue round icon on the bottom left of the screen (Easy access button). Select the option for using onscreen keyboard. Click APPLY, then OK to close box.
On screen keyboard comes up. Type your password using this and click Enter. If you get a speech bubble saying something about 'select place to type using cursor', drag keyboard out of the way, click once more in the password dialog box, then retype the password from the beginning.
After full bootup, go to your Start Button, bottom left of screen. In Search box type Restore. System Restore will come up in the list. Open this programme. Follow all nstructions and prompts to Restore To Factory Settings.
If you have not yet backed up your data, you can do this now, using the onscreen keyboard as your link to the commands. Copy all your documents and files on to an external drive if you can. Then at least you know you have everything.

Netbook Mini 110-3830NR How do I create a restore image on a flash drive

I have a HP Mini 110-3830NR Netbook running Windows 7 Starter.
I want to create a restore image to original factory state.
The user manual recommends that I create a restore disk.
It further states that to create a restore image on a USB device, I need at least
a 16GB device.
Therefore I purchased a Hp v165 16GB flash drive that actually contains
14.8 GB of user space.
I could not find the correct info about creating the disk on the HP support
web site so I chatted with an HP Support technician. She eventually gave me
a link to a procedure that would create a restore disk for me.
Then she said I needed a 32gb flash drive !!
Is the user manual or the technician correct ??
Can I use the 16GB (14.8 actual), or must I buy a 32 GB flash drive ??

I would just try to create it, the recovery creator should tell you at some point if it is big enough or not, orignally 8gb was big enough for most W7 system's HP sold, but as time passed they had to upgrade the size recommendation to 32gb.
the 16gb should be large enough for your model.
This HP document says al least 8gb minimum, use 16gb for best results, very confusing, I agree

Do you have Recovery Partition on your laptop? If yes then try Recovery Manager by pressing F11 when PC boots.

If you bought Lion from the App Store, you can't legally or practically transfer it, because it's tied to your Apple ID. Reinstall the original software from the discs that came with the machine.
