HP Mini 210-1010NR PC Not Booting

My sister found her HP Mini 210-1010NR PC recetly.  She was using more her phone and a desktop.  She ask me to check it but the computer don't boot.  Don't give me any error messages or let me access the f keys options posted in another posts.  When I turn it on make the regular noises and I can see a blinking white cursor like line. The computer use Windows 7 Starter (32-bit).  I will like to make a factory restore to the notebook.
I try to order the System Recovery Kit for Consumer Notebook (2 Discs) but the system don't allow me.
Thanks

  • 210-4125 will not boot when windows 7 x64 is installed

i have posted this problem a while ago "210-4125 will not boot when windows 7 x64 is installed"
hoping that some one new might have had the same problem
    HP.......................................HP MINI PC  210-4125
    model ................................210-4125
    Bios ...................................F08
ser no................................ [edited Serial Number by Moderator]
    product no.........................A8V56EA#ABU
    Ram ..................................4.0 GB
    system board ID............... 338d
    processor .........................Atom(TM) CPU N2800 1.86GHz
    Product configuration ID..0797200000204600000300100
acording to INTEL the cpu is X64 bit, but the bios will not let a X64 boot up only a x32 bit ?
and i get a message on black screen  "you are trying to load an opperating system not compatable" or some thing like that
it would seem that the bios is the problem and not the CPU ? the 08 bios update only covers x32 bit and not x64
if any one out there is running x64 bit windows 7 on the 210-400 range of netbook   can you tel me
    1. model no
    2.CPU
    3.Ram installed
    4 bios No
    thank you
    JB

    thank you George
i will bear that in mind next time
i see that you work for HP ? do you have any suggestion's for my problem ?
as i mentioned before the notebook works faultlessly when X64 windows 7 is installed via the OEM disk in the external DVD drive , but if i disconnect the DVD drive it will not boot, but gets stuck in boot loop , then if i connect the drive with any windows installation disc loaded in it , it loads perfect and works perfect even if i disconnect when loaded  , but i can not keep the drive connected ?
i have tried to use a USB flash drive to install X64 windows 7 but it comes back that the present CPU is not compatible ??
when it clearly states on Intel web site that it is and it works perfect when loaded ?? even the Windows update manager confirms that it will run all X64 windows OS
i understand the the bios "InsydeH20" is a very difficult bios to work with, and that Insyde have blocked the "hidden menu" via software ? i have exhausted all the software functions to open the complete bios that i can find at the moment  ,  i think it is locked out from out side the bios and not from inside.?
any  pointers in the right direction would be very helpful  ,
    many thanks

  • Mac Mini i7 (Mavericks) will not boot from the external drive

Mac Mini i7 (Mavericks) will not boot from the external drive with Disk Warroir 4.4. or Drive Genius or Lion.
Not even from the external Firewire hard drive with Mavericks

Does the external HD have a GUID partition table?
Is the external drive formatted Mac OS X Extended (journaled)?
Is this a 2011 or late 2012 Mac?
How was Mavericks installed on the external drive?
Who is the builder of the drive mechanism in the external drive?
Who is the builder of the external enclosure?
What type of interface does the external drive have USB2, USB3, Firewire 400, Firewire 800, thunderbolt?
Is the external enclosure directly connected to the mini?
Have youtried a different interface cable?

  • Mac Mini (PowerPC version) will not boot - or reinstall...

All of a sudden my MacMini is playing up. It will not boot. I have tried leaving it overnight and reinstalling the OS to no avail.
It boots from CD and reads the install disc, but it hangs everywhere for ages. It verifies the install DVD - then just fails to install. And I have tried installing to external USB drives too with the same result.
I have run DiscWarrior twice and that sees no problems...any ideas? Any help will be greatly appreciated,
    Neil

  • My hp mini 210-1076nr is saying boot device not found

    can you help me please

You are also getting the "Hard Disk (3FO)" error during boot vegaloader?
This likely means that your hard drive is failing or has failed.  Kamat_HP posted a great graphic showing the different error states that can appear.  Your (3F0) refers to the hard drive.  It is possible that it has been corrupted, is failing, or has failed.  To determine this we will need to run a hard disk check.  Follow these steps and post the result.

  • Mini 210-1010nr netbook

I bought the netbook for my 13 year old son just three months ago.  Tonight he brought it into me saying it wouldn't load, so I took a look at it.  It will boot into HP quickstart but that's all.  At windows boot I get the message that a disk read error occured.  I went into the bios and ran the diagnostic utility on the hd and it says to replace the hd.  What gives?  This computer is only 3 months old!
I am in the Army and presently stationed in South Korea, so I can already imagine how much of a hastle this is going to be.
So what is my next course of action?

My apologies, I missed that sentence when reading through his post. Guess I've got a delayed case of the Mondays... . Yes, I realize he is in Korea, but not too much "guerilla" work can be done. I'd still recommend contacting support, in case a replacement drive can be sent out to him, perhaps they can walk him through swapping it as well.
aidenCole, your unit has a feature called a service door, which makes accessing the hard drive a little easier than on other platforms. Take a look at this video:
    http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c02062583&tmp_task=useCategory&lc=en&dlc=en&cc=u...
Also, look at pages 43 and 44 of your maintenance  and service guide, which can be downloaded here:
    http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/manualCategory?lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&lang=en&product=4121202&
Before proceeding, call HP support to see if you can get a replacement drive sent to you.

  • Hp mini 210 1010nr video card upgrade

i wanted to upgrade the video card? is this possible? also different people tell me i can upgrade to 2 gigs but others say 4g on the laptop? i also wanted to put windows xp professional on it and not use the windows 7 starter....if anyone has a bit if information please help

    Hi:
2 GB is max on your notebook.
Here is the processor spec direct from Intel. Note the max memory size is 2 GB.
    http://ark.intel.com/products/42503/Intel-Atom-Processor-N450-(512K-Cache-1_66-GHz)
You cannot upgrade the video adapter. It is soldered to the motherboard.
There is only one system board, so there isn't even another motherboard available with better video.
In order to install XP you need to slipstream the SATA AHCI driver.
Read this helpful guide below. Read the Intel section. Then use the guide to slipstream all of the drivers.
    http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Operating-Systems-and/SATA-drivers-for-XP-solution-on-0x000000...
And being the nice guy that I am, I have attached the drivers you need to slipstream to get XP installed.

  • LED, Chime, Fan... and that's it!  Mini will not boot.

    Greetings,
My Mini (stats below) will not boot. The LED lights, the chime sounds, and the fan turns on. However, the HD does not spin and it won't take a DVD.
I have reset PRAM/VRAM through the keyboard sequence and through Open Firmware. I have also reset the PMU. I have swapped RAM chips and tried a different monitor. Now the keyboard seems to be totally unresponsive to any commands. I can not boot to any mode. It just sits there. It is out of warranty.
This all started with a kernal panic. I then ran disk utility and repaired the HDD. Each further step after that seemed to do more harm than good.
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks,
    Dan
    G4 Mac Mini 1.42GHz 1GB RAM   Mac OS X (10.4.8)

Fixed. After disassembling it again, I found the antenna wire disconnected. I had to reroute the antenna wire as it seems that each time I'd put the case back together, it would pull off.
    Consider this case closed!

    @jass007 ,
Hello and thank you for posting on the HP support forums.  One question when you did your install of Windows 7, while installing your drivers did you start with the Chipset Driver first.
The reason for this it is much like a traffic cop for all the other drivers on the system.  I have seen this cause conflict with common devices and even to the point where they will not even show up in device manager.
If you can make sure you back up any data.
Once this is done go to your systems support page and download all the software and drivers and save them to a USB stick.
HP Mini 210-1014EA PC - Software & Drivers
Once that is done boot into Windows Safe Mode.
    Entering Safe Mode (Windows 7)
Once you are in safe mode you will want to remove all your drivers.  You may have to uninstall one at a time and restart between uninstalls.  Remember to boot into Safe Mode each time.
When all the drivers have been removed.  Boot back into windows normally. Here you will have to install your drivers one at a time.  Remember to start with the Chipset Driver first.
Please let me know how this goes for you.
Thak you again for posting and have a great day.
