HP Notebook TS 11 Processor and RAM read N/A

I just submitte an issue w/ the slowness of this computer now I noticed when I was trying to get my computer specs on the page it read: Processor:  N/ARAM:             N/A  What on earth does that mean? Why doesn't this show?  THANKS!

Hi, I saw your post this morning - where do you get the information for CPU and RAM ? Regards.

  • How do I use my serial number to find information about my MacBook Pro's Processor and RAM?

So I want to find information about my MacBook Pro's processor and RAM using the serial number because the MacBook no longer works. I remember being able to find this information on the apple website before, maybe by using the coverage checker. Did they take this information out of the coverage checker? Is it no longer possible for a costumer to obtain this information?

Append the last three characters of it to http://www.everymac.com/ultimate-mac-lookup/?search_keywords= and load the page.
This won't reveal how much RAM it currently has installed.

I got mine last year from Best Buy and would like to know if they will or can upgrade my computer to the new quad core processor and RAM?

The processor won't be upgradeable. Even assuming it's not soldered to the logic board and could be swapped without affecting the warranty (it can't), the Core 2 Duo and Core i5/i7 do not use the same socket; you can't replace one with the other.

  • UPGRADING PROCESSOR AND RAM

Hello, pls i'm asking to know the possibility of upgrading my processor from AMD A6-3430MX APU with Radeon(tm) HD Graphics to an A10 processor, which will boost the strength of my gaming...is it possible to buy only the A10 processor and replace it on my A6 because the current processor does not support most of my gaming needs while i have enough video graphics memory (1.5gb Radeon). However, i also want to know the amount of maximum RAM the computer can accomodate because currently i have 6gb RAM and i'm thinking of upgrading it to 8gb. Will these changes affect the computer negatively? or what? because i think it the best economical option for me rather than waiting to buy a bigger laptop with a higher processor...Games that require such high specs include upcoming Watchdogs, Need for Speed Rivals, Call of Duty ghost, Upcoming Hitman 6, and so many others...I'm waiting for a feedback

  • Role of graphics card, processors and ram in conversions?

Does anyone know what role if any a computers graphics card, processing power and ram has in the quality of conversions? I don't mean cases where a computer is unable to run a program (or handle a conversion in a reasonable time period). I mean will the same conversions (same settings, files, formats) look better if done on more powerful computers. I'm using final cut studio and downconverting from HD to SD using quicktime and converting from PAL to NTSC using compressor.
my specs are 2 2.6 processors, 4 ram,
graphics: NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT with 512MB of GDDR3 SDRAM and dual-link DVI

What compressor settings do you recommend?
The best workflow I've come up with is qucktime conversion from HDV PAL to SD 10-bit PAL, then compressor conversion from 10-bit Pal to DVDPR0 50 NTSC.
By coincidence I decided to try the initial conversion (HDV to 10-bit) this morning on compressor (but I didn't change the frame rate; i didn't know they were relavant for HD downconvert; I only been change them for the PAL-NTSC conversion).
At first glance, the compressor 10-bit conversion doesn't look better than the quicktime conversion (due to the frame rate settings?). I don't know for sure because I haven't sent it back to compressor for PAL-NTSC conversion and on to DVD SP.
One issue I'm worried about is the dimensions. quicktime's 768 x 576 (preserve aspect ratio checked; letterbox selected) was the only dimension setting that produced a film that looked right (on the dvd; it's squished in final cut). I don't see that option in compressor. I suppose I could type it in the frame size boxes.
Anyway, I would be most grateful for answers to these questions. I've spent a few weeks on this and am past the point of frustration. I just plod along, zombie-like, trying a few different things every day, dimly hoping to hit the jackpot eventually. Actually, I've been planning on trying to downconvert using my HDV/DV deck (print to tape in HDV; then change settings to downconvert and capture as DV). Would that help?
how do pro studios handle downconverting? What kind of hardware do they use? I'm an independent filmmaker, working on a small budget for the time being, but eventually, once the film is over and (hopefully) I have more money, I'll be willing to pay for a good pro conversion. Do you know what that costs? The film will be 80 minutes long.
    thanks again for your help.

  • Can I Upgrade My Processor And RAM?What Is Compatible?

Hello, I Got A New Laptop Recieved From A Trade,And Was Wondering What And How To Upgrade My CPU And RAM? My Laptop Info: -Intel(R) Celeron(R) CPU B800 @ 1.50GHz, 1500Mhz, 2 Core(s), 2 Logical Processors-BIOS Ver. Huffer wrote:
This is the source of information about your laptop: the Service Manual: Download Manual here Unfortunately if you look on page 19 you see that Celeron models have their own type of motherboard which means you could only install a different Celeron processor. You could theoretically buy one of the i3/i5 motherboards and install it but that would mean a new motherboard and processor. The cost will approach a new laptop price.  How much memory do you have? Your model was a WalMart Black Friday special a few years back and came with 2 gigs. Increase it to 8 or at least 4. 4 would be cheap as all you would have to do is add a 2 gig module.  Here is the part number for a 4 gig module: 4 GB 621569-001 Here is the 2 gig on amazon.com: http://www.amazon.com/Upgrade-100-6100ix-PC3-10600-1333MHz-PARTS-QUICK/dp/B00FDV69CE/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1437999207&sr=8-6&keywords=621565-001 Then save that money you want to spend on the motherboard and processor and just buy a solid state drive. You can get a 250 gig solid state drive for under $100 now. Install it and do a clean reinstall of Windows onto it and you will think you have installed an i5 processor and 8 gigs of RAM. Makes everything pop open, boots way, way faster, etc. The solid state drive is the same physical configuration as a hard drive and is a drop-in replacement. http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-2-5-Inch-Internal-MZ-75E250B-AM/dp/B00OAJ412U/ref=sr_1_1?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1437999378&sr=1-1&keywords=Samsung+850+Evo Pages 45 and 46 of the Manual show memory upgrade and hard drive removal and reinstallation. • Can the processor and ram be upgraded for an affordable price?

Okay, so I've had my PowerBook 15inch for about 6 or 7 years now. I love it. I have a number of reasons for wanting to keep it. Like ports that fit hard drives that newer MacBook Pro's don't seem to have. I'm a photographer and use it for a lot of digital imagery. How ever, it uses the PowerPC processor and I'm finding that a lot of websites won't let me use it without a intel based Mac. I'm having issues trying to download some PDF's. I'm told this is because I'm not using an intel based Mac. Finally, newer software is starting to require that I have an intel based Mac.
I'm on the move all the time and never at home. Much of my entertainment comes from Netflix and video games such as World of Warcraft. I can't stream video from Netflix and soon I won't be able to play video games on my PowerPC based Mac. I was laid off and I've got little money. I DO NOT want a PC, but can't afford a Mac at this time. I was wondering if the processor could be upgraded as well as the ram for an affordable price.

    Welcome to the Apple discussions.
You can upgrade your RAM to 2GB. If you want to see if that will help for programs you run, bring up the Activity Monitor, on your hard drive in applications/utilities. On the system memory tab look at page ins and page outs. If page outs are 10% to 15%+ of page ins, you can use more memory for what you run. A page out is when there isn't enough physical memory to run everything, and the system writes some memory to disk to make room for something else. Too much of this can hamper performance.
On the CPU, as was pointed out, you can't upgrade it.

  • I'm using mac pro 3,1. can I update processor and ram as sam as mac pro 5,1?

I'm using mac pro 3,1. I would like to upgrade to mac pro 5,1. However, I don't want to buy the new mac pro machine. I want to ask about the case I just want to upgrade the mainboard and ram only for cheaper price. I don't know that is possible or not. If yes, how much for the upgrade cost?

    $2100 for Special 5,1 2.8
    pull the 2.8 and slap in a 6-core 3.33 W3680
Wait and save, you will wish you had when Ivy Bridge has PCIe 3.0 and everything
Read what IDF and Intel are showing for 2012
There isn't as huge a jump in 5,1 as I think you assume.
Get some SSDs, RAM, PCIe 6G card
And you should look into 5770 or better which you can take full advantage of.

Maintenance and service guide for G62 laptops:
    http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c02542102.pdf
Q2: I think so. The service guide says that it's possible for model 1.1 only. Product specs for G62-361tx say that the hard drive is a 320GB 5400rpm and this hard drive is available for model 1.1 only. I think that you may use a 4GB module anyway, the laptop might be upgraded up to 8GB of RAM..
    Q1: Upgrade definitely possible to:
    Intel Arrandale i5–520M Processor (2.4 GHz, 3 MB total L3 cache, 1066 MHz)— Dual Core 35 W pn: 594187-001
    Intel Arrandale i5–540M Processor (2.53 GHz, 3 MB total L3 cache, 1066 MHz)— Dual core 35 W pn: 594188-001

    Intel Arrandale i5–430 Processor (2.26 GHz, 3 MB total L3 cache, 1066 MHz)—Dual Core 35 W pn: 597624-001
    Might be possible:
    Intel Arrandale i5–560 Processor (2.66–3.2 GHz, 3 MB L3 cache, 1066 MHz)—Dual
    Core 35 W (for model 1.1 only) pn: 625824-001
    Intel Arrandale i5–580 Processor (2.66–3.33 GHz, 3 MB L3 cache, 1066 MHz)—

  • What should my processor and RAM settings be?

    I have the K8N Neo2 mobo w/ AMD64 3500 and Ballistx 3200.  I've looked for the answers...but couldn't really find any clear cut solutions.
I care not for overclocking...but I do want the computer to be running to its full "stock" potential.  I've read on the forums that the Ballistx may be a bit "underclocked" by the BIOS defaults...but I couldn't find what settings it should be.  Same with the processor...there is HT there and dynamic o/c that with some voltages thrown in for fun.  What should a good setting be?  Sort of scared to jump in and adjust things...for fear of corrupting my main HD located on SATA1.
So...if anyone has a similar setup...please share your settings.
Oh...and how can you tell USB 2 vs. USB 1 by windows itself?
    Thanks again for the assistance.

Don't know answer to your cpu/ram question.  But if you have everything in auto, you're probably good.  At least, you could set RAM to 1T instead of 2T.  1T is faster.
About USB.  If you plug a USB 2 device into a USB 1.1 port, Windows XP will pop up a little message balloon by the system tray that will say something like "You have plugged a high speed device into a USB 1.1 port" or something similar.  If you don't get this balloon, then it operating at USB 2.
FYI, in Device Manager of XP SP2 I have:
Standard Enhanced PCI to USB Host Controller
    Standard OpenHCD USB Host Controller
    Standard OpenHCD USB Host Controller
    USB Root Hub
    USB Root Hub
    USB Root Hub
And all of my USB ports, including the D-bracket, are working as USB 2 ports.  I think the "Standard Enhanced" thing is the USB 2 driver.
    Good luck.

  • Is there any way we could find about processor and...

we can easily find about processor and ram from our computer.will it be possible from mobile phone

need third-party applications to display that information on your phone. although Nokia Energy Profiler, available from Forum Nokia website, displays the amount of RAM being used by the phone.

  • Should I upgrade the RAM, the Processor, and add an ATA/133 card?!

    Hello!
I have a few more questions...
I only have 2 internal drives...
(one 300GB which is the main one that runs the applications and one 60Gb used as extra storage mainly for my video projects)
Do I need an ATA/133 PCI controller card for them?
will it really be worth it?
(meaning will it actually make a difference in speed or not?)
or do you only need one of those cards if you have 3 or 4 drives?
    also,
would adding more RAM (up to the 2.0 GB limit)
(my comp is currently at 1.25 GB)
    make a huge difference?
    and the processor...
if i upgrade it to the 1.8 GHz
    (it's currently at 867 MHz)
will it be a major improvement?
i guess I'm asking if i would benefit in upgrading
    everything:
    the RAM,
    the processor,
and adding an ATA/133 PCI controller card
or would just upgrading/adding one or two of these be suffice?
I'm seriously looking into upgrading my comp but I want to know
what benefits me and what won't really make a difference
    -Cristina-
    p.s.
I know I posted this somewhere earlier,
but I'm just so anxious :/
I've been looking at so much information that my head feels like it's going to explode!

    Hi-
You don't need a controller card.
If you keep your main drive(s) on the ATA/100 bus (rear carrier), and add (if you like) up to two drives to the ATA/66 (forward carrier) bus, for storage, archives, etc., you will have fine performance from all drives.
If you are going to add a drive, I would add a larger drive to the ATA/100 bus, and move the smaller (60gb) to the ATA/66 position, relegated to storage. Your graphics work (is it?) will then run well on the two drives on the ATA/100 bus.
In a G4, running with maximum RAM (2gb) is always a good performance move, and helps reduce the "spinning beachball", especially with large graphics files. As for "huge difference", not as such, but, RAM is one of the cheapest (especially now) performance buys that can be had, and more RAM is always better than less.
Upgrading to dual 1.8ghz processors would be a "Wow!" type of upgrade, compared to the current dual 867mhz processors. Be advised, that processor upgrades require that you be able to boot to OS 9 prior to installing the processor upgrade. This is to apply necessary "patches" to allow the system to use the new processors. If you don't still have a boot-able OS 9 installed on your machine, you will need to have that ability prior to a processor upgrade.
Another processor upgrade option, would be to change your processors to dual 1.25 or 1.42mhz processors from another MDD. The difference from a 11.25 dual processor, and the dual 1.8, is really between 10-15% increase in performance, with the 1.25mhz providing about 20-25% increase over the dual 867mhz processors. The main problem with this approach, is that there are some modifications that must be made, which aren't the average "do it yourself" type of work.
In the end, though, you may want to take the upgrade money, $600+, sell the MDD, $300+, and put the money on a new Mac. Don't get me wrong, I like upgrades, but it is as much to tinker, as it is to boost performance. And, at the end of the day, I don't need a new Mac. If you don't, either, you will be happy with the upgrades.
