Hp office 8500 pro a910
I will never purchase another HP product again.
HP Officejet 8500A will not print black if one color cartridge is depleted. Major defect and extremely poor customer service and price guaging. I have replaced printheads and several color cartridges. I wil not recommend HP products to anyone.
I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP. They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number. Please look for a private message after the weekend from an identified HP contact. Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post ( serial numbers and case details)
If you are unfamiliar with how the Forum's private message capability works, you can learn about that here.

OfficeJet 8500 Pro A910 display freezed on "Printing in progress"
Hi,
I've a problem with my OfficeJet 8500 Pro A910. When I send a file to print the print queue on PC shows "Print error" and on the printer display appears "Printing in progress" but nothing is printed. At this point I must switch off the printer, wait some seconds, switch on the printer and send again the file to the printer, so the file is finally printed.
The printer is plugged by wired network and I've the same error on Windows 8 and Windows 7 PC. Why?Hello and thank you for your update.
In my honest opinion and from my experience working in this field, it could be anything at this point. Your printer may be having an issue where the screen is freezing when you send a command to the printer.
You want to try everything before you determine it's your printer that is at fault.
Make sure you have this printer plugged into a direct wall, not a surge protector?
Have you tried to uninstall and reinstall your software? (To make sure that's not a possible cause)
How long have you been experiencing this issue for?
Also, try a hard reset. Click here to perform this step.
Let me know your troubleshooting steps and I will continue to assist you further.

New hp Office Jet Pro 8500 A910 will not take printing from computer to printer
My new HP Office Jet Pro 8500 A910
Hi Acepvteye,
Welcome to the HP Forums!
I understand that you cannot print with your HP Officejet pro 8500 A910, and I am happy to help you with this
issue!
For further assistance, I will need to know:
If the printer is connected, Wireless, or USB.
If you are using a Windows or Mac Operating System, and the version number. To find the exact version, visit this link. Whatsmyos.
If the printer is able to make copies by itself.
If the power cable plugged into a surge protector, or directly to the wall outlet. Issues when Connected to an Uninterruptible Power Supply/Power Strip/Surge Protector. This applies to Inkjet printers as well.
Hope to hear from you, and thank you for posting!

HP Office Jet Pro 8500 Wireless carriage jam message.
I have an HP Office Jet Pro 8500 Wireless. It is on a home wireless network and I am using a new HP laptop with Windows 7 (64-bit). I am getting a carriage jam message that I cannot get removed. Leading up to this, my son did have a paper jam and probably didn't get all the paper removed the first time around. But I have checked thoroughly with a flashlight and there is now no paper anywhere in the carriage. I have followed the video online and still have the same message and I can tell that the carriage is not moving side to side. It stays over on the right side. When the video talks about manually moving the carriage, I can move it very easily manually after I wiggle it a little and move it to the right a little. Then it will move back and forth easily by hand. I have tried to see if something is blocking it, but can see nothing. But then when I try to print a test page, no luck. I have reset it according to the video with no results. I cannot print a test page from the touchscreen or from my computer.
I really like this printer and hope you can help me.I hope you are doing well and sorry lt learn that you are having this issue.
If you still facing this issue I will do my best to help you

Hp Office Jet Pro 8600 A910, suddenly can't send fax. Reveiving faxes are ok.
We can't send any fax, but we can still receive a fax. This happened suddenly without any changes (on device or our telephone line) When sending a fax it dials and gives a busy tone. After that we get a error sheet pointing out Error 388, communication error. Following things we did:- Tried sending fax on our other phone line to rule out broken phone cable/connections.- Called to phone and from phone to fax which worked.- Printed out T90 testsheet. All tests passed.- Tried faxing with ECM off or in other words turned off the error connection mode.- Tried faxing with lower connection speed setting.- Checked other settings to see if there was anything wrong, but all okay.- Powered off, disconnected power cable for at least 15 seconds. Is the fax broken or anything else we can try?
Hi , I see you have been troubleshooting an issue with your Officejet Pro 8600 no longer able to send faxes, and I think I may have found some more information for you. Can you specify your your exact printer model for me? In your post title you say it is an 'Office Jet Pro 8600 A910' but and A910 is an Officejet 8500A. How Do I Find My Model Number or Product Number? Seems like an odd question, but the printer make a copy? It could be an issue with the scanner mechanism.
Is the printer connected directly to a wall outlet or is it in a surge protector or a power bar? We want to connect it to a wall outlet just so we can eliminate the power source as the root cause. See this document for more information about Issues when Connected to an Uninterruptible Power Supply/Power Strip/Surge Protector (Note: This document is not limited to Laserjet printers.)
HP regularly releases firmware updates that may also correct the problem you are experiencing. You can click on this link to;Get Printer Updates for HP Officejet Pro 8600 (N911), Officejet 6600 (H711) and Officejet 6700 Premium (H711) e-All-in-One Printer SeriesGet Printer Updates for HP Officejet 6500A, and Officejet Pro 8500A e-All-in-One Printer Series Have you tried to run the Fax Test Report? It's usually located in the setup menu, under tools. The fax test report will let you know if it finds any problems and how to correct them. Once everything passes on the fax test report, you can Test Your HP Fax Machine with the HP Fax Test Service. I reviewed the error code you provided from the Interpreting Error Codes in Fax Communication Error or Fax History Reports document. Error 388: There is too much noise on the line for a valid connection between two fax machines to complete. The noise problem might go away over time. Retry the fax reception when telephone line conditions have improved. Call the telephone provider if line conditions fail to improve. Have you touched base with the phone company to make sure they have not changed anything on their end? Does this same error occur with every number you try to dial? You could see if anything in Fax Sending Fails Intermittently or Fails for Only One Recipient is helpful as well. Please let me know if these steps resolved your issue, or if there is anything else I can do to help. I look forward to hearing from you! Thanks, -

HT6114 HP Office Jet Pro 8500 Scanner no longer works with Mavericks upgrade
I have an all-in-one printer/copier/fax/scanner, HP Office Jet Pro 8500. The scanner no longer works with the Mavericks upgrade. Is it possible to get the scanner back in use? The printer and fax is fine, but I really use the scanner a lot. Please helap me.
The following link to the HP Support site indicates that scanning is still supported for the OfficeJet Pro 8500 using Mavericks but also indicates that "you may need to scan in a different way than you did before you installed Mavericks." Ipad mini printing to Hp office jet pro 8500 wireless
Any suggestions re printing from Ipad mini using HP office jet pro 8500 wireless which supposedely is Airprint compatible?Downloaded HP's Eprint but it was not able to ID printer. Thank you.
If its AirPrint compatible you should not need an additional App. The App is onyl foir their wireless Printers which aren't Air Print compatible.
Make sure the printer is connected to the same Wifi network as the iPad. Then tap on the "Send To" icon in any App that you wish to print. Then tap on the Print option.
From there it should Appear as a selectable Printer in the Printers button -
Two office jet pro 8500 printers set up to operate wirelessly from one computer
I have two office jet pro 8500 Wireless printers in my real estate office. I would like for them to both operate wirelessly from one computer, but can't get it to work. I do not have any firewalls enabled. I can get only one to work.
Do you have a network (wireless router) in your office that you are trying to connect the printers to or are you connecting directly to each printer via its "hpsetup" network?

HP 8500 Office Jet Pro- One color will not print
HP 8500 Office Jet Pro- Windows XP
All of a sudden I can no longer print yellow. I changed the cartridge and cleaned the heads several times. Diagnostics says the heads are clean.Hi Nort504,
I understand you are having an issue with one of the colors printing on your Officejet 8500.
If you have already followed the troubleshooting document provided above by pcwizard, I suggest contacting HP's Technical Support to see if they have any other options for you, as the end of the guide is suggesting replacing the printhead or unit itself.
Here is the link you will need to find the correct phone number for your region: http://www8.hp.com/us/en/contact-hp/ww-contact-us.html
