HP Officejet 100 - Print by bluetooth file share - wrong printing size

Hello,
I´m trying to print file from mobile device with android by sending whole file into the printer. I find desired image/jpeg and send it by bluetooth into paired printer. I need to print it this way and I can´t use third-party tools to print it...
result is about 50% in scale... do anyone know why is that or how to solve this problem?

Hello BlackDashieCat,
I understand that you that when you are printing from your Android device the scale of the printed copy is 50% of what it should be. One options is to use a third party app that is available to you, and would work with your necessary requirements.
The other option is checking out this technology, as it may suit your needs. I have included a link here to 'HP Mobile Printing for Business' for you to view.
Thank you.

  • Officejet 100 printer and battery

Is it okay to leave the battery on all the time even when using the power cord on this mobile printer? I think it's okay because it keeps charging the battery. My daughter is now using it starting college and it would just ensure that the battery will not go un-charged for more than six months which can lead to battery becoming in-operative.

    Hi siuberto
The manual just talks about the recommended operating environment (Pg77) to maximise the battery life. I don't think it specifies that you shouldn't leave the battery on (when the printer is plugged in), but it's probably a bit of a waste to leave it charging all the time.
The default is that the printer turns off to conserve the battery if left idle for 15mins on battery power.
    See User Manual for details

  • [SOLVED] .PKGINFO files specify wrong installation sizes

Today I was about to do a full system upgrade (pacman -Syu)
The only things needing upgrading are libmysqlclient, mysql, mysql-clients
    So pacman tells me:
    Total download size: 12.17 MiB
    Total installed size: 85.91 MiB
    Net upgrade size: -28.94 MiB
Usually this happens when packages are removed during installation/upgrade of other packages.
Since there's really no difference in size for the source of the packages, or the packages themselves...
..what other things does pacman deletes?
    edit
One issue I found while trying to figure this out:
Extracting the new package (for mysql) mysql-5.5.21-1-x86_64.pkg.tar.xz with tar -Jxvf gives this error/notice:
tar: Ignoring unknown extended header keyword `SCHILY.flags'
This does not happen for 5.5.20
    Also:
Looks like pacman doesn't actually deletes the 28 megs, the problem is in the .PKGINFO file from 2 of the 3 packages, for example:
    mysql 5.5.20: size=77074432
    mysql 5.5.21: size=62255104
even if the actual sizes of the extracted information are pretty  much the same
Question now is, is this a bug of 5.5.21 package?
Last edited by MarianCJC (2012-02-22 13:46:07)

    Confirmed.
Name            Old Version  New Version  Net Change  Download Size
    libmysqlclient  5.5.20-1     5.5.21-1     -14.85 MiB
    mysql           5.5.20-1     5.5.21-1     -14.13 MiB
    mysql-clients   5.5.20-1     5.5.21-1     0.04 MiB
    Total Installed Size:   85.91 MiB
    Net Upgrade Size:       -28.94 MiB
There're no missing files, but the 5.5.21 tarballs shows that warning (error?) when extracting.
    EDIT:
You get that warning if you try to extract every package recently built.
    EDIT2:
Also, sizes are similar, I guess this is a bug in pacman.

  • How can i print to my officejet 100 mobile printer from an android device over bluetooth?

I'm stumped here. I've installed the printer on my Windows PC. I'm able to pair with it (Bluetooth) from my Android tablet (Galaxy 10.1"). I've tried using a variety of printing programs from the Android Marketplace, but I can't get anything to print.
When I try with PrinterShare, it asks me to select the printer. When I select the OfficeJet 100, I'm told that the application can't find a driver for the printer.
Note to HP: You definitely need to improve the documentation on this printer. The docs that came with my printer make no mention of Android, and finding anything useful online is practically impossible. Very disappointing.

  • Printing a PDF file online with any OJ 100 printer,we receive unknown error light sequence.

When printing a PDF file online on all of our Officejet 100 Mobile L411 USB printers, we encounter an undocumented error light sequence. The error light sequence we encounter is Power light blinks in conjuction with the Bluetooth light then those 2 lights blink off and the Resume light and both cartridge lights  blink on. then those three lights blink off and the power light and the Bluetooth light blink on again and so it goes. You cannot reset this error by any other means other than powering the printer down and the printer will not power down with the power button. The only way the printer will power down with the above flashing light sequence showing is to disconnect AC power and remove the battery.
With the above described flashing light sequence displayed, the printer has no problem continuing to print and will continue to print other documents with the flashing light seguence displayed.
If the above mentioned PDF file is saved off to the computer and then printed from there, it will print on this printer ok without starting the flashing light sequence described above so evidently there are control characters attached to the online PDF file that get stripped off when the document is saved. I don't know what those characters could be but I do know that only all of the Officejet 100 printers we have display this problem. We can print the same documents on our HP 470 mobile printers ok without any issues or have no problem printing the same document with other models of HP printers. It is only when printing this document with any HP Officejet 100 mobile L411 printer that we have this problem.
As mentioned above, the flashing light sequence described above is not a sequence described in the Operators Manual so we don't know what it means. Also it is apparent that the online document(s) we are printing have some control characters attached to them that are incompatible with this printer but we do not know what characters they are. Are there some settings that we can setup in the printers properties that would solve this issue for us?
As I have explained above, this particular flashing light seguence does not keep the printer from printing the online documents or any other documents succesfully, however this sequence cannot be reset by any other way other than killing all power to the printer.

  • Wireless printing problem with hp officejet 100 mobile printer from win 7 dell laptop

My hp officejet 100 mobile printer was working fine with my dell XPS 15 in bluetooth wirelessly until my laptop crashed. Now I can not get it to print internet info except with hard wire connection. Page loads half way and then stops. Must shut down laptop and shut off printer or hard wire and shut off bluetooth. down loaded lastest drivers to no avail. printer will print from cell phone and win 8 computer via bluetooth but not win 7 laptop.

Sorry you are having problems with printing from the internet.  I have a few more questions to ask you before I can be of much assistance.
    What web-browser are you using?
Do you have any problems printing from Word or other non-internet documents?
What did you do to fix your computer (system restore, clean install of the OS, etc)?
Have you tried an alternate web-browser?
Make sure to install all of your Microsoft updates to see if that helps.  Otherwise, answer those questions for me please and I will be happy to help.

  • Printing Issues with HP OfficeJet 100 and Windows 8.1

We use HP OfficeJet 100 mobile printers and have a printing issue. When we print the printer acts as if it is going to print and then prints one blank page.Printer will not print even though it is showing as default printer.Printer will just stop printing in the middle of a document, even in the middle of printing out a page. We are printing via the USB cableWe are using Windows 8.1We are connecting to laptopsWe have been using the HP mobile range of printers since 2004 and have only experienced these issues since we moved the laptops onto Windows 8/8.1 We have:Uninstalled and reinstalled the printer drivers – this fixed this issue for a short while and then it reappeared againCalled HP support and they directed us to the driver support page which had the latest print drivers, uninstalled and reinstalled drivers with them on the phone. This initially fixed the problem and then it returned a few days laterAfter trawling the support forums found directions to change the print processor to “WinPrint” – No effect as the processor was already on this settingDownloaded the HP diagnostic tool – HP Print and Scan Doctor – didn’t fix anything Any further help would be much appreciated.

Hello there Lawrence, Welcome to the Forums! I hope you enjoy your experience
I noticed your post about the troubles you are running into when you attempt to install your OJ 6100 printer on your Windows 8.1 laptop. I read all of your attempts and seen you have tried several methods to try and get the installation to complete successfully.
I would like to make some suggestions that may help. Let me know how it goes!
    1. Check that Internet Explorer pop-up blockers are turned off before downloading the installer
Internet Explorer Pop-up Blocker: How do I turn off Pop-up Blocker?
    Try to install
    2. If you're running McAfee Live Safe or any other firewall, please temporarily disable the "real time scanning".
    How to disable realtime scans
    Try the install
    3. Go to the start screen (you may also press the windows key + R to open the run box) and type %WINDIR% this should show the windows folder.
Click on the folder and scroll until you see files. Look for a filed named "HPWINS*.DAT" (the * is for a number that varies) remove this file and try the installation.
    Try the install

HP ePrint Home & Biz only provide print capabilities over wired or wireless (802.11) network connection, Bluetooth connection is not supported as well the specific model is not supported by the app.
Can I print from the HP ePrint mobile app using USB or Bluetooth?

  • MacBook Pro dropping bluetooth connection with HP Officejet 100

I've recently started developing problems with my MacBook Pro (OS X 10.7.4) maintaining a bluetooth connection with my HP Officejet 100 Mobile Printer.
The problem I'm seeing is that when I send something to the printer, everything starts out okay, but then after about 10 seconds, the bluetooth icon in my status bar indicates that it is no longer connected.     The printer pauses for a minute or so and then spits out the half-printed page.
Anybody else seeing this?   Any suggestions on how to fix?

I have a similar issue, albeit a different bluetooth printer from yours.
According to a review on CNET's website, the dropping of bluetooth connections seems to have been introduced in the 10.7.4 update and did not exist in the 10.7.3 version of the Mac OS X Lion software.

  • Pairing a Mac (OS 10.9) with an HP OFficejet 100 mobile printer

    Hello,
I am running a MacBook Pro with OS 10.9.  I have been successfully using an HP Officejet 100 mobile printer via bluetooth connection until just a few hours ago.  Now, the Mac will not pair with the printer.  When I click the apple logo, go to system preferences, select printer, it will not find the printer.  Nothing has been uninstalled that I am aware.  Can someone please advise me on what to do?  I have powered off both devices and then powered on without success.

    Hi 4stix,
thanks for your suggestions! I managed to pair the printer with my MacBook Pro again by using the security code "000000". Before I never had used the security code. But I still couldn't add the printer to the system preference panel "Printers & Scanners". It simply wouldn't appear in the "Add" window.
Just to make sure it wasn't a Bluetooth issue, I successfully reset the Bluetooth security following your steps. I could pair the printer again, but still I cannot add it as a printer in the Mac OS X system preferences.
When I open the "HP Utility.app" the printer appears there and I can get every kind of status report. I can even print the test page using the button "Print Test Page".
Seems like a Mac OS X Mavericks issue to me. What do you think?
    Edit: To answer your questions:
Did you happen to run any APPLE updates recently? Or between the time that you were/were not able to print? -- Yes, after the last successful printing I installed: iBooks Update, RAW Compatibility Update for Digital Cameras, iTunes, Mail Update for Mavericks. It would be really strange if one of them broke the printer service.
Did you encounter any security or other messaging popup? -- No
