HP Officejet 4300 problem

"When I print checks I have the bottom margin set at 3.1", this worked for several years but now the printer adds an extra inch to the bottom so the check information does not print on the proper lines, how can i fix it?"

I've been having this exact problem with a HP Photosmart C3135 All-In-One since I got my macbook near the end of December.
Today I tried yet again to get it to work, installed the new driver and software off the HP website, it wouldn't work at all, so I uninstaller it and reinstalled just the driver and now the driver isn't even listed.

Good morning
I have a Officejet 4300. All of a sudden i can not see the print on the paper. The cartridges are new and I have ran a cleaning operation that prints out a color chart at the end of the cleaning cycle .W hen I request a printout through a direct cable hookup or wireless it accepts the print job, goes through the print motion but nothing comes out on the paper. Same paper being used.

HP Officejet Fax problem

I recently brought a HP Officejet Pro 8500 (910n) and cannot use it to fax. The printer's FAX troubleshooting told me the following. That I had two lines (4 wire) system in my house. To be able to fax I needed a 4 wire to 2 wire adapter or connection cable. The printer comes with a standard 2 wire (two center wires only) plug.
Has anyone ever had this problem before? Has anyone ever heard of a 2 wire to 4 wire adapter or cable?
The troubleshooter also had the United States listed as one of the countries having this problem.

HP Officejet 7210 problem

The alignment pages look ok, have cleaned the print heads twice. Printer prints only half of every other line in document. Solutions?

I do not work for HP (or anyone else for that matter), I am a volunteer here, so the following is not my job but is my experience: reman cartridges have been used up, returned to somewhere to be refilled, tested and repackaged. Along the way they are subject to various handling issues and the refilling and testing process can vary greatly in quality. See here for a study by Quality Logic (commissioned by HP) regarding the reliability of refilled cartridges. See especially Graph 2 on page 4.
That said, for an issue where a regular block of nozzles are not firing properly the most likely cause is not a clogged printhead but rather an electrical issue between the printer and cartrdige or an electrical fault with the printhead. Try printing a self test report as follo0ws (directiona re for my Officejet 7410, the 7210 should be similar): press setup, scroll to print reports, scroll to self test report and press OK. The resulting test page will include a nozzle pattern with a rectangular outline and solid well defined lines. If there are random misdirected or partially complete short segments (the ones about 1/8" long) this would indicate a problem with the printhead nozzles that may be corrected with nozzle cleaning. If there are missing nozzles in regular patterns then the issue is electrical, and it might be corrected by cleaning the contacts on the printer and the cartridge.

HP Officejet 7500A problem

my problem with HP Officejet 7500A is that when one of the ink catridges become empty the printer does not stop printing which causes a waste in paper and ink? So is there a way to make the printer to stop printing when one of the ink catridges become empty.

Please refer to the attachment to check the settings in your driver.
You have to go to Advanced and do the selection for Borderless for A3 paper as shown.

Officejet L7680 Problems with printing in Vista

My printer has totally stopped printing. I have unplugged, tried a test page, checked for jams etc. It will not print. I did change the ink cartridge for black as it was very low, but that did not do it either. We have the hp officejet pro L7680 all in one.Can you help?

Can you try to check if you can make a copy? (stand alone)
if yes, then its probably a connection or a software problem.

Officejet printer problem

I have an officejet 6500 E709N printer and it just stopped printing. All I get is an empty blank page. The black cartridge is full. I have run a test page and it won't print either, so I can't tell what the problem is. And yes, I've run the tools clean printer head steps one and two and still nothing. Can anyone help??

I understand the printer is working, but the printed output is missing black or color inks, or the output is blank or has very little ink. Please use the following document to troubleshoot the issue, and let me know the outcome of your efforts; Printer Prints a Blank Page or Does Not Print Black or Color Ink for the HP Officejet 6500 All-in-On....

Officejet 6700 Problems

I purchased an HP 6700 specifically for its wireless capabilities. It runs perfectly from my XP desktop, but I keep getting an error from my new Windows 8.1 laptop. The printer shows up as ready, but when I press OK, I get an error saying it can't print due to a problem with the current printer set up. When I click for more information, it tells me there is no default printer selected (there is).
I was running an Officejet 6500 from the same laptop using a wireless connection with no problems. I'd like to get this resolved. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling to no avail.
Suggestions?

Thank you for the update.
I know you’ve tried uninstalling and re-installing the printer, but I’m going to ask you to do it again.
Please Uninstall the Printer Software, and please choose to remove all of the HP Software for the printer. If you haven’t uninstalled your old Officejet 6500 printer, please uninstall it as well. After you have completed the uninstall, please reboot your computer. While the computer is rebooting, please run the Wireless Setup Wizard from the front panel of the printer. If you are unsure how to do this the instructions can be found on page 196 of your User Guide in the section titled “Set up the printer using the Wireless Setup Wizard”.
Once the computer has completed its startup routine, please install the printer using HP’s Printer Install Wizard for Windows 7 and Windows 8. Please ensure that there is only the power cable connected to the printer during the installation. This should get the correct software for your printer with a wireless connection.

L7580 Officejet Cartridge Problem

Terrible problem with the Officejet L7580. We have now had 3 of this HP model printer and each time, when we install the replacement printer which is always a refurbished one and never a new one and put in the brand new HP cartridges, the message displayed is "cartridge missing or damaged". The printer cannot then be used and we are told to put in new cartridges every time. Awaiting outcome from HP and trying to get a refund on 11 cartridges that we have used in the last 2 weeks from them too.

I don't think there are any ink cartriges for this printer that contain yellow and black ink. This printer has 4 "ink cartriges" for black, magenta, yellow and cyan. It also has two replacable "print heads" which are only responsible for depositing the ink on the paper. These replacable print heads each do two colors and black/yellow is one of them so it sounds like you probably bought a replacement head instead of replacement ink. You need to buy this type of cartrige:
HP 88 (C9388A is the yellow version)

AirPrint HP OfficeJet 6500A problem

I bought a new HP OfficeJet 6500A. Can print via AirPrint the very first day. Then, subsequently, can't no matter what I did or how I reset the config both the in iPad or HP printer. Downloaded the latest firmware in HP and later iOS in my iPad. What happen? Called Apple Care, they asked me to call HP. Called HP, the Indian helpdesk guy say he does not have an iPad, cannot check. Any help please?

If you double-click the Home button on the iPad, a row of recent Apps will line up along the bottom of the screen. Scroll across and look for the Print Queue. It is possible you have a print job hanging up the queue.

Hp all in one printer I send documents to be printer, but nothing will appear in the "see whats printung menu. This usually happens when I try to print from incoming documents/menus. Most print jobs from Word when from my own computer will print, but not from outside sources. Help

Are you trying to print those external documents also from Word or different application. If different application, please ensure before clicking the print command correct printer icon is selected.

HP Office jet 7610 inability to load
The printer hp7610 will scan a documentand save to computer.
It will copy a self scanned document.
It willl not print typed Word Perfect documents.

I dont quite understand the problem you are describing. Can you be more specific what is the problem you are facing. Are you not able to scan a document. Are not able to print a scan document. Are not able to print from a software application.

HP Officejet 5610: Problem Adding Printer via USB

Hello. I am trying to print via USB on a HP Officejet 5610. My Mac has detected it via USB. I tried to add it by "Default Printer." I got the model "HP" but could not find the model "Officejet 5610" for the gimp-print. I tried a few random models to print but none of them work. Could someone help me please? I do not have the installation CD. This is not my house. The person who owns the printer is usually not home and his computer locked.

Disconnect the printer. Remove references to it from print and scan in system preferences. Remove the HP folder from /Library/Printers. Reconnect it. Try again. It should dowwnload drivers.

Wired OfficeJet 6500 problem

Hello, I just recently set up an office printer with the Office Jet 6500 All in one, not the wireless model, however. I can access the printer server's web page and I can printer from within that web page (diagnostics and such) however, I can not print from any other computer at all. I can connect and my computer (OS X 10.6) recognizes the printer instantly, but as soon as I try to print, I get the following message, "Network host 'printer_name_here' is busy; will retry in xx seconds..." and it never completes. Looking at the status page on the printer's http server, I can see that it's receiving data, but it just never prints. Printer: OfficeJet 6500 E709a, OS: Mac OS X 10.6 Thanks
