HP Officejet 4630 Will Not Print, despite empty spool

I can not get my printer to print from my laptop, nor my desktop. The print job goes to the printing que and shows it "printing", then "0" documents left to print. Where is it printing? Not at my printer, that's for sure! I have uninstalled the printers (in the 'printers and devices') and reinstalled via usb. I have rebooted the printer (unplugged, waited, plugged back in), rebooted my computers, and rebooted the network. I can not print from the network, nor via usb. I ran the troublshooting printer wizard, still nothing. I'm still running Windows 8.1. Help? -Lyons

Welcome to the HP Forums! I understand that your HP Officejet 4630, will not print wireless to your laptop. I am happy to help you with this wireless issue! I have some questions for you:
What Operating System are you using? Windows or Mac? What version?
Is the power cable plugged into a surge protector or directly to the wall outlet? Issues when Connected to an Uninterruptible Power Supply/Power Strip/Surge Protector. This applies to Inkjet printers as well.
Is your printer's firmware up-to-date? Getting the Latest Firmware and Printer Updates.
In the meantime, try printing a Network Configuration Page. Printing a Network Configuration Page. Look for an IP Address, place it into a browser's address bar, and see if it can bring up the Embedded Web Server.
Also if you are using Windows, please try our HP Print and Scan Doctor, and let me know what happens.

Did the installation state it had a successful wireless connection?

Windows 8.1 and officejet 6110xi - Will not print but scans okay?

Today Jan 5th, 2014 installed Windows 8.1 on my dell desktop.
Now the HP officejet 6110xi will not print.
The scan mode seems to work.
I have tried all of the HP work-a-rounds but no luck!

Please download and install the HP Print and Scan Doctor and let me know the outcome of each test performed. Please run this on all of the computers the printer is installed on if the issue is occurring.
You will see a wrench, a yellow exclamation mark, a red X, or a check mark next each tested item.

Is the printer connected directly to a wall outlet or a surge protector? (It is best to connect directly to the wall)
Do you have any other HP Printers installed on these computers? If so, do you still have the printer(s)?

OfficeJet 4500 will not print two sided over network

I'm running on Windows 7 with an OfficeJet 4500 G510n-z over WiFi. Printer works great except that it will not print two sided. We've used a non-WiFi 4500 to print two sided before. With the new printer the first pages print and the pop-up shows on the laptop (prompt to flip paper over) but nothing happens. The second pages never print.
I've run all of the HP print and network diagnostics. Everything appears to be OK.

The solution below was found on the sticky post at the top of this board "Fixes and Workarounds from HP"
I think the patch below only applies if you have the original printer software installed, I assume this issue was fixed in later versions of the printer software, Read the patch information carefully.

This Print Driver Update contains improvements for issues related to the following applications and/or print functionality:
     Microsoft Office 2007
     Duplex printing via network
     Printing from Intuit applications
     Print margin accuracy
     Thai language font

Officejet 4500 will not print from internet.

Printer will only print e-mails, will not print anything from internet. "Unspecified error, Line 2107, Char1, Code0 res://ieframe.dll/preview.js" appears when ever I try to print from internet.

The issue is caused when Windows creates the printer profile in the control panel that it doesn't correctly create it with the drivers.
We're not going to completely uninstall all the HP software, instead we're going to remove the corrupt Windows printer profile and reinstall it. Total time for this on an average computer is about 5-10 minutes to completely repair (including reboot).
1) Navigate to Start Menu > Devices and Printers or Start Menu > Control Panel > Printers
2) Select each printer profile for the printer with an issue, then select remove device/printer.
3) Reboot
4) Navigate to Start Menu > All Programs > HP > insert model # here > Add Printer (or Setup Wizard)
5) Follow the setup prompts to reinstall the printer profile and it recreates the Windows printer.
6) Test by printing google.com (uses very little ink when the test page comes out).

HP Officejet 4630 will not scan in Windows 10

I need to scan a document and the printer is not recognised either by trying to scan through HP Printer Assistant or by using the menus on the printer. The error is "The HP Officejet 4630 series was not found"On the printer I get "There is no application registered for this event" in windows 10 and the printer/scanner says "Connection Error".Note, I can print OK. Scanning will not work at all.

Welcome to the HP Support Forums. I gather that you are getting an 0X…. error on the front panel of your Officejet 4630 printer.
I have included the ‘Ink System Failure' or a '0x...' or a 'C2...' Error Message Displays on the Front Panel trouble shooting document. Please work through the steps in the document and any additional documents that it requests you to use.
If you run into any issues while doing the above, please let me know at what step you encountered the issue, what any error messages said, how the printer is currently connected (you may have changed it since you posted), and what operating system you are using (whatsmyos.com). Thank you.

Officejet 8610 Will Not Print Wirelessly

I have a new 8610 and new computer with Windows 8.1. The printer is generally turned off and on another floor of the house from where my computer is. In the past, I could send a job to print, go downstairs, turn on the computer and the jobs would print. This is not the case with the new equipment. I see the documents in queue on the computer but they do not print when I turn on the printer.
I specifically remember putting in the password for the wireless router when setting up the printer. What can I do?

I see you're running into connectivity issues. I would like to help!
I would recommend performing a power reset. Disconnect the power cord from the printer and the power outlet, then wait 60 seconds. After 60 seconds, plug the printer back in. Ensure you plug the printer directly to a wall outlet. Make sure to bypass any sort of surge protector or power bar.

Officejet 4630 will not connect to computer to scan.

When I first got the product it scanned a few times but now will not connect to my computer to scan even after re-downloading drivers and entering a printer claim code.

I would recommend using the HP Print and Scan Doctor to help diagnose and resolve your connection issue.

Went on vacation, returned and black ink won't print. Changed cartridge to new one, did not help. Deleted printer and reinstalled, still will not prink black ink.

Officejet 4500 will not print black ink

Our small office has had an Officejet 4500 for a few months now with no problems. Today it has ceased printing any black ink.
-I have changed the cartridge to be sure, though at no point has it said low ink. This fixed the problem for a few pages but the problem popped back up. I did align the cartridges after installing the new cartridge.
-I have tried cleaning the contacts on the cartridge itself.
-The scanning function still functions and color ink can be printed.
-Overall printing does seem slower, regardless of the black ink issue. Not sure if related.
-The all in one has been used more frequently in the past few weeks.

Officejet 4630 will not connect to wifi

Bought this printer a few months ago, set it up, no problems. Now all of a sudden, it will connect to wifi. Nothing with wifi has changed. Printer finds wifi, I enter the password, and it thinks for a while, then says "Connection Failed, Cannot connect to network". When I print the report, the only thing that fails is in settings "no filtering". Tells me the solution is to add the mac address but doesn't tell me how to do that. When I scroll through the settings, it looks like the mac address is there.

Power off printer and router. Power on router and wait 3 mins. Power on printer and verify it connects to the router. Do you have a valid IP address??

I worked for HP but now I'm retired!

My HP L7780 all-in-one officejet pro will not print when inserting an original on the screen.

When I insert an original document on the copy screen, an error msg appears "original loaded" please re-load and try again. The printer functions properly from the auto feed and from computer commands. How do I remove "Original Loaded" from the printer screen so it operates correctly?

Running the diagnostics at http://www.hp.com/go/tools may help resolve the issue, specifically the Print Diagnostic Utility.
It may also help to reset the printer as described here.

Officejet 4630 will not connect to computer through wireless or usb since installing Windows 10

I have tried to install updated software for said printer but it still refuses to connect to my pc through either of the two mediums provided. Bit unstuck due to this as it is my work computer. Admittedly should have waited a while to install windows 10 but I got a bit caught up in the moment and didn't consider that issues such as this may arise. I also have a HP designjet T120 connected to this PC and that still works wirelessly no problem at all!

Office jet 4620 on network, will not print

I have an Office Jet 4620 on my wireless network at home.
It has worked well until I installed a new router. The network sees the printer, I have entered my network password into the printer software.
When I try to print the printer makes a little noise then locks up. The only way to get the printer to turn off is to pull the power cord.
Any ideas?
