  • HP Officejet 4635 Scan Software says Device Not Found

I just successfully installed my new HP Officejet 4635 and can operate it wirelessly.  I am able to print and I can scan if I use the buttons on the device itself to tell it to scan.  However, when I try to load the HP software, it says "Device Not Found".  I tried using the HP Scan and Print Doc and it says everything is fine, but I still cannot load the HP Scan software.  I need to be able to scan multiple pages into one file, and I cannot do this by using the control panel that is on the device itself.  Anyone else have this problem?

  • OfficeJet 4635 Scan To Email

The OfficeJet 4635 is supposed to be able to scan to email, but I cannot figure out how to access this feature.  When I select the Scan option on the menu, an error comes up that says:
"No Computer Found:  Make sure the printer software is installed on your computer, and that Scan to Computer is enabled."
I do not want to scan to my computer though, I want to scan to email.  How can I access this feature?

    Hello MannyCFO,
You have to install Full Software to the computer for manage scan to e mail.
After you install the Software you will see the shortcut icon on you desktop. Click on the printer icon on your desktop and then you have to complete of the scan to e mail wizard with your own mail address and smtp port number which it is belong the e mail provider.

  • Has anyone figured out how to scan from an HP officejet Pro 8600 after upgrading to OS 10.9.4

Has anyone figured out how to scan to  a MacBook Pro with 10.9.4 from HP officejet Pro 8600?

iMovie acts as it does, I suspect, because it's so much safer (and easier) to program.
As iMovie is now structured, each clip has a startFrame and an endFrame. They show the starting point and ending point of that clip in its source file. There's only one of each. Simple.
For us to remove a portion of the middle without splitting the clip in two, iMovie would have to allow each clip to have multiple start/end points. So iMovie would have to "remember" that the clip starts playing at frame 100, stops at frame 120, starts again at frame 150, stops at frame 200, and so on. Very complicated.
The amount of data that would be required to undo a change, for example, could become quite large, and be very, very complicated. Lots of opportunity for errors. Imagine what iMovie would have to "remember" if we could remove the middle, added a title to the clip, remove part of the title, then split the clip and applied a slow motion effect to the second part of the split.
This way is simpler, and not all that inconvenient for users, in my opinion. I prefer simple when it adds to reliability.

  • How to scan documents with HP Officejet 5610 and iMac 21.5 ?

    Hello,
Please can someone tell me how to scan documents with a HP Officejet 5610 all-in-one printer and an iMac 21.5 , OS X Yosemite version 10.10.1 ?
    Thanks a lot.

    Hi,
Scanning can be done on Yosemite as listed in the following document:
    http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c04467713&tmp_task=useCategory&cc=us&dlc=en&lc=e...
A such will allow scanning as a PDF file as example.
If by "Scanning a Document" you may refer to OCR scanning (e.g. scanning a text to a Word file which can be edited), a such is not supported by the provided solution and will require a 3rd party software which offer OCR capabilities. Vuescan re as example support a such:

  • Photosmart studio 9.8.1 and officejet 4635

Am running photosmart studio version 9.8.1 and when I try to scan the program doesn't recognize my new officejet 4635. Previously, using same software, I was able to scan using a 4400 series hp printer. When I use the browse function within photosmart studio it doesn't show the 4635. How can I resolve this?  TIA

    Hi,
The HP Photosmart Studio is an older HP Software for previous models, it is not a part of the 4635 printer and will not detect it.
What is your Mac OS X version?
Have you tried the HP Scan software which shipped with your new printer? it should be available within the Hewlett-Packard folder.

  • How to scan multiple pages in one file

I would like to know how to scan multiple pages into one file.  There is no add button that comes up.  I have a HP Officejet 8600 and a macbook pro.  Please help, this would really help me out.

Open Preview and use its "Import From Scanner" option in the File menu. This will launch the scanning interface, which has some standard and basic scanning controls. If you choose "PDF" as the file format to save as, then you will see an option to scan all images to one file. When you do this, you will scan and edit them individually, but Preview will save them to the same file when saved.

  • How to Scan using your HP Office Jet Pro 8600

Well, I figured out my own answer because I couldn't find a "solved" topic in this regard. So then I decided to post my findings in order to help the next querier (is that a word = one who queries). FYI -  I am not a 'techie' and while I can find my way around a computer it sometimes takes a while.  Also, I have Windows 7 on this laptop if that makes a difference.
    1. Go to Control Panel and choose:
    2. Hardware and Sound, then
    3. Devices & Printers, then
    4. Fax-HP Office Jet Pro 8600 (Network) or whatever printer choice pertains to your situation, then
    5. HP Printer Assistant, then
    6. Scanner Actions, then
    7. Scan a document or photo, then
    8. Save as PDF
    9. Scan
    10. Save to folder you choose
I know this may seem simplistic to most of you but maybe someone like me is out there trying to find this out and this might help.

    Hi Acupuncture,
Thank you very much for posting your solution that you found yourself, on using the scan function on your HP OfficeJet Pro 8600. I also apologize we were not fast enough to answer one of your inquiries on the HP Support Forums. I was able to check your user page but was unable to find your initial post on asking us How to Scan, did you delete the question? Either way I am glad you are now up and scanning from your OJ 8600.
For future reference I would like you to take a look here: How to Scan: Windows 7, here you will be given all options and shortcuts on scanning with or without the HP software as well as some cool features, like scanning from the front panel of your 8600 and adding multiple pages to a single file.
Again I appreciate you taking the time to help the other Community members, so Thank you again!!

  • Hp officejet 4635

I bought the HP Officejet 4635 and have had trouble printing pictures in a Word document.  The problem happens when I have to resize the picture. For example, if the picture is 4" square and I want to reduce it to 2" square in the document, I ususally just resize it within the Word document.  Although it prints the new size, the printer does not seem to acknowledge that I want the entire picture displayed.  Instead it will display a cropped picture.  Any ideas?

    Hi @katest,
    Welcome to the HP Forums!
I noticed you are having trouble printing pictures in a Word Document, with your HP Officejet 4635. I am sorry to hear this, but I am happy to help!
For further assistance, I will need to know:
If you are using a Windows or Mac Operating System, and the version number. To find the exact version, visit this link. Whatsmyos.
If the printer is able to make copies.
If you can print photos from another program.
If you are using Windows, please try the HP Print and Scan Doctor.
