HP Officejet 5610 all in one Communication Error Message on Mac with 10.10.2

Hi,
I got a new MAC computer running 10.10.2 Yosemite. I own the HP 5610 Officejet all in one printer. The new computer doesn't recognize the printer or scanner. I went to my applications folder and tried to uninstall the HP software but the printer doesn't show up there. I also downloaded the 3.0 software driver and tried to install it.
I can print from a document without a problem but I can't scan.
Any ideas on how to solve this/

Welcome to the HP Support Forum. I understand that you're having scan to Mac issues with your HP Officejet 5610 All-in-One Printer. I would like to assist you with enabling scan to Mac OS X 10.10 Yosemite.

As HP has not released a Full Feature driver available that's directly compatible with Mac OS X 10.10 Yosemite, my colleague has outlined the steps in which you may add your printer into the Mac. (In this type of setup you would be using the built-in HP drivers that are available through Apple).

Installation problems Officejet 5610 All in One on Windows 8.1 64 bit

I have a HP Officejet 5610 All-in-One printer that I have had for a few years. It has worked well on the old computer but the computer died. I purchased a new Dell Laptop with the Windows 8.1 64 bit operating system. The printer works fine but the scanner won't work since there is no software in the computer. I went to the HP Support website and tried to down;oad the drivers/software. The download failed 6 times. i finally tried anothe computer and after 4 failures. I was able to down load all 402MB of software. I saved it to a portable USD drive and returned to the Dell. I started the install and got to the begin installation screen. Unfortunately, right after it finished extracting the files. I got a pop up dialog box with the error message "System cannot find file specified". I went to HP Support and the website said to search the Windows file and remane the file extensions on all hpoins*.dat and hpwins*.dat files to .old file extensions. Unfortunately, there aren't any and they don't have any other suggestions.
Does anyone have any ideas?

I'm sorry to hear you've been having issues getting your Officejet 5610 installed on your new Windoes 8.1 computer but I'm hoping I can help you out
On your new Win 8.1 computer do you have an anti-virus program? Anything like McAffee, Norton, BitDefender, Avast, or anything like that? If you do, it's likely that the firewall within that anti-virus program is blocking part of the install. If you have any anti-virus on your computer you'll need to disable the firewall and the real time scanning within before you try to run the installation again. If you're not sure how, contact the anti-virus company and they should be able to let you know how to do those steps.

New computer with windows 8. hp officejet 5610 all-in-one scanner worked but is now offline.

I have a new dell computer with windows 8. the hp officejet 5610 all-in-one seemed to be fine, and I could scan and print. Now I can no longer scan. charms - settings - change Pc Settings - devices shows HP Office Jet 5600 offline!
There may have been a request to update some software which I may have allowed. Maybe this is my problem? How do I fix this?

Need driver (*.inf) files for HP OfficeJet 5610 All-in-one

I am setting up a print server and it needs *.inf driver files for my HP OfficeJet 5610 All-in-one printer. Where can i find them? I've installed the drivers on my PC, but they come as *.exe files that will not extract to give the *.inf files. Can anyone help?

Hello, First I would like to say that I dont like what HP does, I dont want all your software cloging up my computer. What I want if for the hardware I have purchased from you to work the way I want to. Nothing more nothing less. Please give your customers the chance to pick the software they want and not fill up the pc with trash.
PlanoStar You will find the x86 inf file in the Windows XP Package, it about an 68mb download, just extract EP-CDB-enu_NB.exe using Winrar.
And ofcourse after the hours spent, with HP trolling you, you would think you are done. Think again. Microsoft will pick up the tradition with some Install x86 Medea ntprint.inf BS. to solve this problem download the files needed from here.
It will save you hours instead of mounting AIO images and whatever.
Ps. I have just registered with HP with the sole reason of making this post, and I would just like to say that hp support is rubbish.

I am not sure why the HP software needs to recognize your airport. That's a function of the OS. Can you be more specific about the problem you are having? Do you have some screen shots? Is the Macbook connected to the router?
If the HP printer can't recognized the router, that's a different story. You'll need to plug the Macbook into the printer (by cable) to config it (that's typical). You may need to assigne the printer its own static IP address (which I would advise doing anyway). That way you can always find it and it will make setting up network printers on other computers a bit easier.

HP Officejet 7410xi All-In-One shows error 0x07a74dds while powering-on and then stops

When I press the power-on button of my HP Officejet 7410xi All-In-One, the printer screen lights-up and shows the following:
Error 0x07a74dd6 at the top of the screen and 1959:lib_barracuda.c at the middle of the screen.
At the front panel, the following lights stay flashing:
(1) Auto Answer (2) ! and (3) On
After that, none of the buttons operate. The printer is connected through USB cable to the computer. My system is Windows 7.
I already searched for answers in the forum and didn't find a solution. I unplugged the USB cable and plugged again. I unplugged the power cable and when I plugged it back the same thing happens again, as described above. Please, let me know if there is a solution. Thanks.

My printer, Officejet 6310 All-in-one will not print. The message in the control panel says "Door Open". I have no idea what this means and there is nothing open on the printer. The HP utility says everything is fine. I have powered off and powered on the printer with no change. Has anyone else had this problem? Does anyone know what to do about it? Thanks.

I've read about it in the HP manual and seen it work on another (cheaper) HP printer on a similar Intel iMac but with the All-in-One I just get the screen saying "No User Selectable Settings" - which HP say should not be the case. Anyone have any ideas? This screen seems to be vital - unless of course there's a better way of synchronising the perfect image I see on screen with what I get out of this printer?

I have seen this case with hp printers on the intel macs as went the intel macs came out hp's driver release was set for June as that is when the intel macs were suppose to be released i know the new software version 7.9 which is universal fixes all of these issues on the intel based macs.
Just make sure you run the hp uninstaller first HD/Applications/Hewlett Packard

Not necessarily you run into problems like this with all platforms with multifunction printers, they lose a lot of there features when you connect it to a router such as Airport. Airport doesn't have a processor just a reroutes data and traffic. There is an easy way around this that I've thought it useful, you can just connect your printer directly to a desktop, connect the desktop to your wireless network and then share the printer over the wireless network and access the rest of the features from the desktop. Not an ideal situation, but tachnology catches up with supporting all the features over the network, it's a pretty good fix in the meantime.

HP Officejet 5610 All-in-One continually quits "unexpectedly"

I fear I may have really messed something up. I downloaed Araxis's Find Duplicate Files program to try to free up some space on my MacBook, because I noticed I had some duplicate pictures. So I just scanned the whole darn hard drive and deleted very duplicate of everything because I figured if something is a duplicate it is unnecessary. I may have been mistaken. Now when I try to print from any program it says that Inkjet7 quit unexpectedly. Here is the whole big long error message.

If anyone can make heads or tails from this and tell me how to fix it I would be deeply appreciative.
I tried the uninstall program and it gave me the same error message. I redownloaded and reinstalled the software from the hp website and I still get the same error message, which leads me to believe it is not something simple like I lost a .dll or whatever the mac equivalent is. Is there something I can do short of a full reinstall of OS X? Please help.

I would try deleting the printer in Print & Fax Prefs, then removing the <hard drive>/Library/Printers/hp folder, and then reinstalling the software for the Officejet 5600 Series from either the Snow Leopard install disk (which can be done using a customized install) or by downloading it from the HP site.

Officejet 5610 All-in-One Printer: Properties dialogue box for Mac OS

I recently connected an Officejet 5610 to a Macbook Air (OS 109.2) & was offered the default driver download which I accepted. The Properties options for the printer are very much different than for Windows XP that I was using and seem to offer far fewer choices. If I install drivers from the CD that came with the printer (Macintosh CD version 7.9.0), purchased in May 2007, will the Properties control be more extensive?

I understand you're wondering why the Officejet 5610 properties is different using a 10.9.2 operating system. I will do my best to assist you! For this printer and for your operating system, there is only a basic print driver using a Apple Update.
Please follow this HP document on OS X v10.9 Mavericks: Installing and Using the Printer on a Mac. This is properly why you have limited options since there isn't a full feature driver.

HP Photosmart All-In-One C7280 Error Message Offline

I cannot print from my computer due to an error message that the printer is currently off-line. The printer icon in my dock has a red hexagon with a white exclamation mark inside it. Has anyone else had this issue? It seems that I've install everything okay because I could print both the 'Self Diagnostic Page & Network Configuration Report' manually from the printer. Any words of wisdom?

Okay, you've installed new inks, but now aren't seeing blue or yellow in your printouts. One thing to check is the cartridge venting - take a look at solution 2 this in document: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c01641815&cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en&product=3795314&tmp... - make sure all your cartridges look as if the vent is open.
If the vents are open, then your printhead is either damaged or clogged. Try another printhead cleaning. That will use ink, but it may be the best way to recover the printhead.
If normal printhead cleaning does not work, there is kind of an unofficial solution posted here: http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Other-Printing-Questions/HP-6500-Office-jet-E709a-Black-printer-cartrid... - scroll down to the green 'solved' area. Several people seem to have found this hot water soak helpful.

Photosmart C5280 all-in-one Cartridges error message

hi, I have a Photosmart C5280 all-in-one. It's been good until today when I got an error message:
! Print Cartridges refer to printer documentation.
I've only ever used genuine HP cartridges. I have the correct ones in - 75XL tricolour and 74XL black.
I've taken them out, reseated them several times to no avail, the error message will not leave and the printer will not function. Any ideas please?
