    Hi JasperNM,
You may access a card within the cart reader by mapping a network drive to access it, then you may transfer the fies to your Mac.
First locate the printer IP address as following:
Follow these steps to print a Wireless Network Test Report, the IP address will be listed within that report:
On the control panel, press the Setup button ( ).
Press the Right Arrow button ( ) to scroll to Network Setup , and then press the OK button.
Press the OK button to select Print Network Settings .
Press the Right Arrow button ( ) to scroll to Wireless Test Report , and then press the OK button. The Wireless Network Test Report prints.
Now map a network driver by following the steps below:
Click the Finder icon on your Mac.
    Click the Go menu.
    Click on Connect to Server.
In the Server Address field enter “smb://ipaddress of the printer” and click on Connect.
You will be prompted to enter the password. leave it as is and click on Connect.
The Memory card will be mounted as a disk in the Finder.

  • HP Officejet 6500A Printer will not connect to WPA wireless network.

An HP Network Configuartion Report from my printer states that the printer's Authentication Type is WPA-PSK. My router is WPA2 or WPA and won't connect to the printer. What is the solution to this problem?

Hi DWILKEN welcome to the Forum,
I understand that you are trying to get your printer connected to your router. I will try my best to help you do this. In this document for Installing the Printer Software on a Wired (Ethernet) or Wireless Network (Using an Access Point) are the steps needed to install the printer on the router. In order to connect them you will need to connect the printer to the wireless network before trying to install it on your computer.
Here is a document on How to Find the WEP or WPA Key or Password for Your Network as you will need this to connect your printer to your router.
I hope this information helps, let me know how it goes.
    Thank you,

  • Wired to wireless problem

Having a problem getting our wired devices to see the wireless devices on our network.
    Here is our setup.
    BEFCMU10
    |
    RV042
    |.........\
    SR216 WRT54GL
All of our wired connections go through the SR216 and the WRT54GL hooks up to the RV042 directly as well. The WRT has DHCP disabled.
I can access the internet fine on all of the computers. And the wireless connection can see and access files on the wired computer, but the wired computers can not see the wireless computer through My Network Places.
Also, I can successfully ping the wireless computer from a wired connection. All computers are running ZoneAlarm, and have the local network address range added as a trusted zone.
    Any suggestions are appreciated.

hi , on the wrt54gl , go to the wireless section and then to advanced wireless settings......turn off the "AP isolation" ....see if this works for your .....if not let me know and we can try some other work around.,.....also just try and disable zone alarm on one of the wireless PC's and see if it works.

  • HP Officejet H470 - Blinking Lights

I have a mobile HP Officejet H470 printer.  I have had several issues lately with blinking lights, I find a fix, do it and other lights seem to start blinking then.  This time it is the resume light and the right ink cartridge light.  it cycles like this..... the resume light is green, then red, then the right ink cartridge blinks, then starts over.
    Any help will be appreciated.
    Thanks

When the resume and right cartridge lights blink, it means that the ink reservoir is full. You need to replace the reservoir and then reset the printer. You can find instructions in this document.

  • Print Photos from Ipod

Hi. Can I print photos from my Ipod? I just moved high resolution photos from my PC to my Ipod. Now I want to print it.

    FrankSmith wrote:
Word Processing and printing: I want to be able to type up up files and print them of wirelessly. I have a wireless HP Photosmart printer and I can print photos from my Ipod touch wirelessly, can I do the same with Ipad but for word processing documents?
    Yes.
Windows compatability: I want to be able to transfer, edit and store word documents on this thing. Is that possible and how easy is it to do?
Yes. As easy as plugging into the computer and opening iTunes.
3G Access: They have these sims, but what counts in the allowances? Is it downloads, surfing time etc? Do you need a contract and what is the cheapest you can get?
    Yes. http://www.apple.com/ipad/3g/
Is it just an giant Iphone? Looking at the interface, it is the same as the Iphone. Same default apps and options. I mean, it does not look like an replacement laptop (what I am looking for) as I see no word processing program, photo editing on it as default.
No. It's not meant to replace a computer. But for some it already has. There is the App Store with 200,000 apps and counting with photo editing and word processing apps, too.
Backward compatability with apps. Would my Ipod Touch apps be able to work on the Ipad?
    Yes.
Do I have to pay for them again?
No. They will sync right over if you have them on iTunes on your computer or you can download again from the App Store and it wont charge you if you've already purchased.
    Many thanks in advance.

  • I cannot print coupons from Bricks coupons on Firefox, but can using IE.

Why do I get the message that my printer is the problem? I can print coupons from other websites without a problem. I can print if I use IE as my browser. If I contact coupons.com, I get instructions that I follow and still it won't work. I have installed coupon.com again when I get the message that I don't have it (when I already do). It is listed on my plugins and it is enabled.

The link does not provide a solution to my problem. I am not able to print anything at all through firefox. Nor am i able to get any dialog at all to appear. Neither ctrl p or going to file>print [or any print options] does anything at all - nothing happens. I also don't have print.print_printer in my about:config list

  • No internet either wired or wireless

    Hi,
DSL modem works fine when connected directly to computer. No internet output from WRT54G wired or wireless, but wireless network is recognized by computer, just no internet.  I did a reset and installed the latest firmware, then I ran thru the setup CD that came withe the router, and the internet test said no internet connection was available.  Cables are fine, connector innards look clean.  Any suggestions?  Thank you.

First of all do the following connectivity:
    QUICK TIPS:
The router’s power adapter needs to be plugged to your router and into an available power outlet.
If using a wired connection, the first Ethernet cable needs to be plugged to the computer’s LAN port into any of the router’s blue numbered Ethernet ports.
The second Ethernet cable should be plugged to the modem’s Internet port and the other end into the router’s yellow Internet port.
Ensure that you have no firewall enabled that may prevent the router from being detected.
After making the physical connectivity do the following settings according to the ISP setup. Here is the link for setting up a Linksys router with DSL Internet service: http://www6.nohold.net/Cisco2/ukp.aspx?vw=1&docid=20ee1457387f40178cd5f41d4b585db4_3687.xml&pid=80&r...

  • Why can't I print to my HP OfficeJet Pro 8500A Plus All-in-One from my wired PC?

I have an HP OfficeJet Pro 8500A Plus All-in-One on my network.  My router is wireless, which several of my devices (laptops, ipads, etc.) use to get an internet connection, but I have one desktop PC that is actually wired to the router via ethernet cable.  For some reason, when I attempt to print to the 8500 from the wired PC, the doc just sits in the que, eventally registering as an 'error'. But all of my wirelss devices can print to it just fine.
Oddly, this is somewhat of an intermittent issue, as I have printed successfully from this PC before, but I can't right now.  I'll also throw this in: I have at times, plugged an ethernet cable into my wireless-capable laptop and had the same issue.  But then I just unplug the calbe, reboot, and turn on wireless, and can print without any issues ... so I suspect it has something to do with the fact that the PC is wired to the router.
Don't know if this has anytthing to do with it, but my wireless network is called 'FrogNet', but my wired PC doesn't see 'FrogNet' like all my wireless devices do.  It just indicates that this is part of a generic network.   Ideas?  (All computers run Win7.)

I have problems printing with a HP Officejet 6500 printer directly from my iMac. The printer itself does function well, as I can print from another PC without any problems. Does anyone have a clue?

    Hello:
I must apologize  .  I should have checked here first:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3669#HP
According to the list, there is no driver for your printer included in OS X 10.7.
There are a couple of options:
    1.  Contact HP to see if they have a workaround.
    2. If the model of printer is not listed but your printer is a PostScript printer or PCL Laser printer, try the "Generic PostScript" or "PCL Laser printer" drivers.  Generic printer drivers may not let you access all the features of your printer.
I have not tried #2, but some people have had success.

  • I have a officejet h470 with bluetooth. can i print from my ipad 2?

    1. HP Officejet H470 (with bluetooth)
    2. Installed on Dell PC with Windows 7

    Hi Jaypo53,
Unfortunately the iPad does not support Bluetooth printing. Only printing via WiFi is supported. Apple have their own proprietary printing protocol called 'AirPrint'.

  • New officejet h470 with wireless card; "printer cartridge incompatible" error message

I just got the officejet h470 mobile printer and wifi card.  Had many, many problems when trying to set up wireless operation (windows vista operating system).  Installed & uninstalled 5 times.  Finally contacted HP tech support and got it to work correctly after approximately 2 hours on the phone.  From minute one got blinking light for black ink cartridge when I turn it on or when I try to print.  Happens every time.  Only way to clear the light and print is to unseat the cartridge completely and re-seat.  Prints one document  then does the same thing.  Today, for the first  time, I got the error message "ink cartridge incompatible".  This is the ink cartridge that came with the machine.
    1.  Bad ink cartridge?  Does anyone out there have an answer?
    2.  Is it normal for this printer to continue to cycle(?) for 1-2 minutes when first starting and after printing?
I don't want to go through the hassle of replacing the printer if I don't have to.
    Thanks,
    Freestyle

For #1 I would suggest cleaning the cartridge contacts as shown here.  If that does not resolve the issue you may need to replace the cartridge or the printer (both should be under warranty).
As for cycling before and/or after printing, it will depend on various factors including how long it has been since the last print job.  I would not expect more than 5-15 seconds of servicing after a print job.

  • How do I convert iris print profile to direct to print rgb file on g5

    Good morning, everyone
I am kind of new at this whole color Management business.
    >my question is what is the best way to convert
a raw Photoshop PSD file on a MAC G4
which is profiled to print on an IRIS printer
to a direct print RGB file printed from Mac g5 using an Epson 11880.
    > Is there a tutorial about printing profile conversions.
    Please help

    Porefungus,
Your question isn't very clear, which probably has something to do with being new to color management.  For color management to work, every file has to be "tagged" with a profile, or if not tagged, one needs to be "assumed".  RGB images in Photoshop are usually tagged as sRGB, Adobe RGB, ProPhoto RGB, or some other variant.  This "tag" gives precise meaning to each individual color in the file.  For example. 225R, 40G, 25B is definitely a red, but what hue, saturation and brightness of red?  It will be translated differently depending on which RGB tag is associated with the file.
The same is true of printer profiles.  In fact, these profiles (or tags) are like languages.  In order to understand what someone is saying, you have to start by knowing, or assuming, what language they are speaking.  Sometimes you have someone who speaks only English and someone else who speaks only Chinese.  In this case, you need a translator in the middle who is fluent in both.  That is color management.
If your original file is edited in Adobe RGB (ie, tagged with that profile) and you are sending that file to be printed on an RGB printer (it uses CMYK and other inks, but the data stream being sent to the printer is RGB), you need to have a "profile" for your printer/paper/ink combination that accurately describes what that ink/paper combo is capable of doing.  Then you need a middle man to translate from your source profile (in this case, Adobe RGB) into language that your printer is capable of understanding (ie, printer profile).  That middleman is*L*a*b* color space, the universal translator for ICC based color management.
It is way too involved to get into in depth on a forum, but I have some articles on color management on my website.  Use the link below and click the links to the left of the page to read them.
    http://www.dinagraphics.com/color_management.php
Real World Color Management is a good book on the subject.  There are plenty of other good resources in books and on the internet.
