HP Officejet J4540 Prints Blank Pages

Yesterday, my J4540 all-in-one started printing blank pages. I just replaced the cartridge a couple of weeks ago, and it still has plenty of ink left. I'm using a USB connection, and Windows Vista. I tried doing a search for what the problem could be, but haven't found anything yet. I also tried to copy something with the printer, and it copied fine, so I don't believe it's the ink. No error messages come up, and when I ran the HP diagnostic, it said there was nothing wrong with the printer. I tried restarting the printer, leaving it off for a minute and then plugging it back in, but that didn't do anything. If anyone has any ideas, I would appreciate hearing them. Thank you.

NEW Officejet 4620 prints blank pages!

We got a replacement for a not very old HP Officejet, a new right out of the box, Officejet 4620. It is networked with a Mac desktop and an older Macbook. I installed it yesterday using the ink cartridges it came with, got it networked with both computers, and it worked GREAT -- yesterday. Today it is only printing blank pages from the desktop! Argh! Officejet 6110xi printing blank pages from ADF

Officejet 6110 connected to iMac Mavericks. Last several years has periodically started "grinding" noise and wouldn't work, eventual message was "scanner failure". Solution was to turn off, wait, sometimes hours, and restart. Recently, no amount of restarting heped.In desperation I took off top of unit, cleaned all glass and mirrors etc, cleaned rod on which scanner runs, applied very light coat of oil on rod and reassembled. Voila! It worked!
BUT, eventually discovered that trying to use ADF for multipage copying or scanning produces only blanks. Self-test report seems OK, ADF detected. There seems to be a long delay on printing with ADF, and finally it pulls the page in but prints only a blank. Have tried resets # 3, and # 6 (not so far # 9) without help
Any ideas?

HP officejet 9130 Prints Blank Pages

Hp 9130 is full on ink and everytime I go to print it prints as normal, but only with blank pages. I have checked the print heads and ink cartriges and there is not tape on them that would prevent ink from coming out. I do not believe it is a issue with the print driver I am using because the test pages also print out blank. Any possible solution would be greatly appreciated.

Officejet 7210xi prints blank pages.

The 7210 at my office won't print. You send it jobs, it goes through the whole process, pulls the paper through, and it comes out with nothing on it. Black and color both come out blank. I have tried re installing the driver. Both of the catridges have ink in them.
Thoughts?

Print a diagnostic page as shown in step 3 of this document. Is the page blank? If so I would suggest running three cleaning cycles from the toolbox or front panel as described in this document. If after three cleaning cycles there is still no ink on the page then I would soak the cartridges in separate teacups with the printhead down in about 1" of very hot water for ten minutes. Now remove the cartridge and gently dry the electrical contacts on the back. Do not disturb the nozzles. Put the cartridge back in the printer and try printing a test page again. If there is now at least some sign of ink on the page the issue was due to clogged nozzles. In this case running up to three additional cleaning cycles may help. If there is printing after the cleaning but the quality is not good replace the cartridges.

HP Officejet Pro 8000 Printing Blank Pages Instead Of Data And Also Reorienting Itself

Hi all
We have a wireless HP Officejet Pro 8000 in our office (but via cable, not wireless) to a network. The printer is occasionally printing blank pages instead of say a spreadsheet selected to print.
The other issue is that if you say are printing two copies of the same spreadsheet, one prints okay (say landscape) and the second copy, selected at the time of printing, prints it portrait but only part of the left hand side of it and the rest is blank. Coming out of and going back inthe file usually recitifes this. But it does it again any time it feels like it.
We did have an upgrade, where our IT guy took away our desktop boxes and replaced with smaller base units and everything is run from a main server and alsoan upgrade from Windows 2000 to Network. Problems started after this and the IT guy did update the printer driver.
Please would anyone be able to assist? Any help for this frustrating problem gratefully accepted!

So the issue with the 8000 printer is periodic print jobs do not come out as you are wanting them. Is that right? This is interesting, just from the point of view that generally speaking issues like this are like a light switch, they are either there or they are not - they usually don't come and go. That being said, we are going to see what we can do to resolve this. First I am going to recommend that we perform a clean installation of the printer after uninstalling it from the machine. By the way, what is the operating system you are working with - Is it Windows 2000 Network?
First if you use a USB cord, make sure to remove it. Do not plug it back in until the software directs you to. Then go through the Devices and Printers, Programs and Features and Device Manager folders and insure that all copies, files, and programs related to the printer are removed. Then as directed, restart the computer.
In the START menu type "%temp%" and press ENTER. Here I want you to press Ctrl+A and hit DELETE. Some of the files will not allow you to delete them, skip those files and delete the majority that allows it.

I have worked HP Officejet 6500A Plus printer.
It was printed fine.
Suddenly it prints "blank" pages.
It's the same blank when it printing using "Copy" or "Print" through any application.
And it does not matter what was selected: black or color.
Scan is working fine.

HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus only printing blank pages

Hi, My HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus currently only prints blank pages.I've gone through the following troubleshooting steps-Soft reset-Hard reset-3 levels of print head cleaning-Replacing ink When I try to realign the print head, an error pops up saying that there may be a jam, but I cannot see anything blocking it... OfficeJet 6500 prints blank fax page after every other fax page

How can I stop the printer from printing a blank page after every other incoming fax. If the fax is 5 pages, I get 10 (5 of which are blank). Tried HP support, and they can't fix this.

Sorry that you are experiencing this issue with printing blank pages. This can be a issue with the print head. You can try to clean the print head with a lint free cloth and water.
Another thing would be to perform a hard reset on the printer. Unplug the power cord from the back. Leave it out for 30 seconds and plug it back in.
See if you can print a self-test page or printer status report.

6500A prints blank pages despite new cart's (MAC)

Officejet 6500A plus goes thru the motions but prints blank pages. Cartridges are new. This is wirelessly linked to a MAC

It sounds like an issue with the black/yellow print head.
I would recommend following this document to troubleshoot the issue:

HP All-in-One 2100 Prints Blank Pages

Anyone had this issue where an HP ALL-IN-ONE only prints blank pages, or only parts of the page? It worked great for years, now after a few clean installs, it's junk. Sometimes it works somtimes not. Now seemingly always not.

I have had this problem FOREVER. I even paid the $59.95 to HP for "Support time" to fix the problem, which they never could do.
For the last year or so I've been using GIMP print drivers, which work, but I have even better news.
Every few months I check the HP site to see if they have released new drivers. This weekend when I checked there was a new driver, version 7.9, as a Universal binary. So I gave it a shot.
I have an OfficeJet 6110xi, but I bet they updated it for all the All-in-ones. Here's the link to the drivers I am using:

To my amazement and surprise everything is working again!
Another great surpise is that scanning multi-page documents under "PDF to Adobe Reader" now actually results in one file with N pages rather than N 1-page files.

All of a sudden, my 6700 has started printing blank pages, even the copier runs blanks - after replacing cartridges with new HP cartridges.
I ran all the diagnostics, printer says its fine, printhead was cleaned, and still printing blanks.
Printer's out of warranty, what should I do? I just bought a ton of cartridges for this....!

REPORT SERVER 6i Patch1 PRINTING BLANK PAGES

I have a problem that is occouring on three different report servers. It will start printing blank pages instead of the report and the only way to get it back to normal is to stop and reastart the service. I get this on a version 6, version 6i and version 6i patch1 report servers. It makes no difference what call method I use (command line or OCX control). I can also force this behavior on one of the servers by selecting a HP 895C as the default printer in the windows printers and then starting the service. All pages print blank after that. At the customers site it appears to be random as to when it will start printing the blank pages.
Any ideas on what the fix is for this?

We have a Reports 6i server up and running and I'm getting stuff out OK to postscript printers, but some HP older printers are just spitting out blank pages. Is there a desformat= that I need to set differently? I've tried most of the options ( dec, psport, psland, hpl... all blank )
Appreciate any help, I haven't used this stuff long, so am quite naive about how it hangs together.

HP LaserJet 4MP Printing Blank Pages

Hi there,
This is perhaps OT, but a recent issue with my HP LJ 4MP is causing me great anguish and heartache.
Suddenly, for no apparent reason, my HP is producing blank pages. It just runs and runs spewing out blank pages.
I've tried all the IO resets and a cold reset. Unplugging and leaving idle. Unplugged the Asante bridge between the serial and the CAT 5.
After a while I can get it to stop printing blank pages, it works fine for a while, then the interminable blank pages start again.
Has anyone seen such an issue? Any known resolution?

I too use HP LaserJet 4MP and AssanteTalk Bridge connected to computer via ethernet crossover cable and link from Assante to both my LJ4MP and HPDeskJet855cse, using BelKin QuikNet adapters in a string using RJ11 jumper cables.
My HP driver software is HP8.1.1.
I Never use "BackGround Printing".
I Never use "DeskTop Print Monitor".
The only time I can remember multiple blank copies is when I used to use "Print Monitor and BackGround Printing".
Clear your preferences and get rid of Print Monitor and Don't use BackGround Printing.
