HP officejet pro 8625 4x6 photos

4x6 Photos printing off center

Hello Matteo321,
Welcome to the HP Forums.
I see that you are having an issue with the photos not being centered.
Please remove the rear access panel of the printer and make sure that the little wheels on the panel spin freely and that we do not have any little bits of paper caught in the rollers.
When reconnecting the rear access panel, please make sure that both sides click into place.  If one side is not closed, the prints will go through the printer crooked.
Also, please make sure that you have the printer power cable connected directly to a wall outlet and not a power bar/strip. Here is a document that uses a LaserJet printer as an example but it is meant for HP products in general. Please click on the following link that explains the Issues when Connected to an Uninterruptible Power Supply/Power Strip/Surge Protector.
Write me back at any time if you have any other questions or concerns.
Cheers,

  • Officejet Pro 8625 Photo print colors not matching monitor!

I just purchased this Officejet Pro 8625 yesterday and while I love many of it's features, I noticed that when printing photos the prints come out very dark and even a bit 'muddy" ie they not only do not match what I see on my Samsung monitor, but they are not really even close. I have used an HP officejet 7310xi for many years...and photos printed from that have been nearly always true to the original photo files/monitor appearance.
I have already run all the printing tests, and they all actually look fine other than Test #1 from the Print Diagnostic page...so calibrated the linefeed. The print heads are clean, etc. I spent over an hour on the phone with tech support early this morning and no resolution...so I am at a loss here as to why the color is so off. The tech told me that the ink cartridges that come with the printer might be the issue, but I don't understand why that would be the case if it's authentic HP ink.
I am using good glossy photo paper and have tried several settings, and printing from both within Photoshop Elements 11 with the RGB color settings, and from PSP 9, as well as without going through any editing program. Nothing has helped.
Before I give up and return this printer (because while I need it for faxing and other functions, I also need photo prints that at least come close to what my monitor shows), I'm hoping someone here might have some ideas.
The tech and I did download the most recent drivers/software from the HP website as the software on the included cd was actually not the most recent.
    Thank you!

My suggestion about using the onboard USB is to rule out both the USB & WiFi ports.
If printing from the 8625 USB port produces the same results then you may have a defective printer.
Have you also tried printing a sample image that is not yours? (using the O/S image program)

  • HP Officejet Pro 8625 - Will not acknowledge incoming fax while in sleep mode

HP Officejet Pro 8625 - Will not acknowledge incoming fax while in sleep mode. The sender receives an error "no answer".
When I call the fax number, if I touch the screen it will wake up immediately to receive the fax.
Printing from the computer while in sleep mode works fine.
Please advise.  Im missing important faxes and can only set sleep mode to a maximum of 15 mins, so I have an alarm set to touch my machine every 15 mins. sigh...
    Thank you,

    Hi Willia,
Welcome to the HP Support Forums! I see when your HP Officejet Pro 8625 enters sleep mode, you are unable to receive any incoming faxes. The senders will receive a 'no answer' error. I understand your printer will wake up from sleep mode if you send a print job.
First let's go ahead and make sure the OJ 8625 is plugged directly into a wall outlet, using a power bar or surge protector can cause the printer to lose basic functionality over time. To get a better understanding take a look here: Issues when Connected to an Uninterruptible Power Supply/Power Strip/Surge Protector
Now, I would like you to update your printers Firmware, click on the link below and follow the on screen instructions:
HP Officejet Pro 8620/8625 Firmware Update
Are you now able to receive incoming faxes when the OJ 8625 is in sleep mode? If not, I would like you to contact our technical support at 800-474-6836. If you live outside the US/Canada Region, please click the link below to get the support number for your region.

  • Officejet pro 8625 will not print

Just purchased this printer. Scanning, faxing, email to printer all works fine. When I try to print any document it spools then deletes the print job as if done but doesn't print. I have uninstalled/reinstalled, run the diagnostic test and nothing is fixing it. Very frustrating and on the verge of returning the printer to Costco!

Hello , Welcome to the HP Support Forums!
I understand that you're not able to print from your Windows Vista computer to your HP Officejet Pro 8625 e-All-in-One Printer. I would like to assist you today with resolving this printing issue. Because you are able to scan from your computer I do not believe that the issue that you're experiencing is connectivity or software related. Rather, it does sound like a driver conflict is occuring between your Windows computer and your printer. To confirm if this is the case, can I please have you follow the steps below to install an alternate print driver on your HP Officejet. You will not lose any functions by utilising this alternate driver.   Step 1: Clear Temp Files: Click on your Start menu
In the 'search programs and files' box located right above Start after you click on it, type %temp% and hit enter on your keyboard
When the Temp folder opens, select Ctrl + A at the same time on your keyboard. Everything in this folder will now highlight.
Select the 'delete' button on your keyboard. The Temp folder contains temporary internet files. No actual files or folders on your computer will be affected by deleting the Temp files. Should a Temp file still be used than you will automatically get the pop up to 'skip' that item.
Close the Temp folder once it is emptied
Right click the Recycling Bin on your desktop and select Empty Recycling BinPlease proceed to the next step.  Step 2: Load Alternate Driver: Please click here to download the Officejet driverOnce the download is complete you may get a prompt to Run the download. If you see the Run prompt, please allow it to Run.An extraction should now occur. Once the extraction is complete an installation window may pop open. Please close any install windows. You do not want to run an installation.Next, click on your Start menu. In the 'search programs and files' box type %temp% and hit enter on your keyboardWhen the Temp folder opens locate the 7z folder. Click on this folder to open it. It should include files that say OJ860At the top of this folder you will see a file path bar. It may show something like 'Computer- Local Disk C - Users - AppData - Local - Temp - 7z . . . ' Left click on the right hand side of this file path bar at the top. The file path should now highlight.Right click on the highlighted file path and select CopyClose the Temp folderClick on your Start menuSelect Devices and PrintersRight click on your HP Officejet Pro 8625 e-All-in-One
Left click on Printer PropertiesLeft click on the Advanced tabLeft click on New DriverWhen the New Driver window opens please hit 'Next' until you see a list of Manufacturers and PrintersClick on the 'Have Disk' button on the bottom rightWhen the 'Install from Disk' window opens, simply right click on the file path bar and 'Paste' in the file path we previously copied.Click OKWhen prompted choose the HP Officejet 8600 Printer and click 'Next' until the Add Driver window closesUnder Printer Properties select Apply, but don't hit OKSelect the General tabRename your printer back to HP Officejet Pro 8625 e-All-in-One
Hit OK Now that the alternate Officejet driver has been loaded, please test printing to confirm if the printing issue has been resolved. Please respond to this post with the result of your troubleshooting. I look forward to hearing from you. Good luck!

  • Officejet Pro 8625 won't print.

Recently purchase Officejet Pro 8625.  It won't print from my XP computer, USB interface.  I have connected a Vista laptop to it and it prints.
When I send a test page to it, the print dialog box shows the print job status as "spooling", then the job disappears, but it didn't print.
I tried downloading the 8625 basic driver from HP's site.  As I walk through the setup, when it asks me to plug in the USB cable, I can't go any further.  I don't think that the computer can see the printer.  I have another printer, and using the same USB port and cable, I can print without problems.
    Thanks for any suggestions!

    Hi,
Try following the HP Print and Scan dovtor by selecting Fix Printing and select if that may help resolving the issue:
    http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=mp-135113-1&cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en...
If that does not help resolving the issue, Click on Start > All Programs > HP > HP Officejet Pro 8620 and select Uninstall to remove the software.
Click the Start button and then click on Run.
Type spool into the run dialog and click on OK.
    Open the Drivers folder.
    Open the w32x86 folder.
    Next, open the 3 folder.
Locate the HPBXPSRENDER.DLL file within this folder, right click it and Rename it into HPBXPSRENDER.OLD
Once you are done, download and install the latest software below and check for any difference:

  • Print Preview feature for Officejet Pro 8625

I just got an HP Officejet Pro 8625 and set it all up.  Ready to use now.  But, not finding any way to select a 'print preview' as I could with my previous Officejet All-in-one.  Anyone know where it can be, or did HP just eliminate it?  It sure saves a lot of wasted paper and ink.

  • Officejet Pro 8625 won't print wirelessly

Printer worked and printed wirelessly for a couple of months and then all of a sudden it stopped being able to print wirelessly.
Everything seems correct, wireless connection, printing test paper, etc.
But when I print a MS office word file from T430 win 8.1 laptop, the print pool  show the status 'Printing' and then gone. In the panel of Officejet 8625, there is a message 'Printing Report' flashed in very shot time. Then nothing happans.
I tried to reinstall the printer, use HP  Printer Assist and HP Print and Scan Doctor, even check the printer status in printer's Web Serive, everyting seem Ok. In Embedded Web server, Tools->Job Magagement->Job Monitor, the job stutas shows 'Completed'
Any ideas on how to solve this?

    Hey @ziyoo,
Welcome to the HP Support Forums!
I would like to assist you today with resolving the issue that you're experiencing when trying to wirelessly print from your Windows 8.1 computer to your HP Officejet Pro 8625 e-All-in-One Printer. Thank you for including all of the troubleshooting steps you have attempted prior to reaching out for support. At this time I do not think the wireless printing issue that you're experiencing is being caused by your printer or your network connection. Rather, I believe the wireless printing issue is being caused by your Operating System.
Recently Microsoft has released a Hot Fix to correct network printing issues within their Windows 8 and Windows 8.1 Operating Systems. These wireless printing issues consist of 'partial printing' and 'offline' issues. The issues appear to affect multiple makes and models of wireless printers. Can I please have you click here to download the Hot Fix. Once the website opens please click the button for Hotfix Download Available. Please follow the onscreen prompts to install the Fix. Once the Fix has been installed please test printing again.  If printing still fails you may need to restart your computer to allow the Hot Fix to take affect. Once your computer comes back on please test printing again.
Please respond to this post with the result of your troubleshooting. Good luck!

  • Server 2012 officejet pro 8625 issues

I have two OfficeJet Pro 8625 computers which were both being shared on a Windows Server 2012 system.  One of the print queues is now not working at all and the other print queue can be printed to from a desktop machine but will not work if I try to print a test print or anything else from the server itself.
I would prefer to use type 3 print drivers if possible, although almost all the desktops are running Windows 8.1.
The printer that I can't print to at all through the server I did manage to get working on a desktop machine printing straight to the printer over the network rather than through the server.
We also have two OfficeJet Pro 8600 (plus?)  printers at the site.
The server is using the 8625 driver from basic printer driver package 64 bit (downoaded from server 2008 r2 link).
The driver at the server 2012 link either incorrectly pointed to the 32 bit version or I somehow clicked on the wrong link.
I have tried using the 8625 drivers, 8600 series class drivers, 8600 drivers,  HP PCL3 A-
size printer class driver, but have no luck in printing to the printer through the server.
    Any help or suggestions?
    Thanks

Thank you for letting me know. Let's try some more steps:
I would recommend uninstalling the software on your computer by following this HP document here. Once this is complete, clean out your Temp folder on your computer by follow this document here.
Now, perform a clean boot on your computer by following this Microsoft document here. This helps eliminate software conflicts that occur when you install a program or an update or when you run a program. Next, you can install the full feature software from the HP Website here.
Please re-run the fax setup wizard from the HP software (Printer Assistant). Let me know how your progress goes!

  • Windows 10 and the OfficeJet Pro 8625

I updated from Windows 8.1 and now when i try to scan and send the results directly to the computer on a wired network connection, i get an error message that states "The HP Officejet Pro 8620 was not found".The printer works fine.I've reinstalled the drivers (which ominously don't mention Windows 10) and still the problem exists. Can anyone help?

That is ominous, particularly because this is in direct conflict with the documentation that states that you should be OK. You might try a couple of things, just because the reinstallation of the drivers may not have "taken" properly. If you have not already done so, Download a copy of the Full Feature Software from the printer's Website Support page:HP Officejet Pro 8625 e-All-in-One Printer You might try removing the printer software from Programs and Features,Shut down the computer.. Restart everything, including the router. Install a fresh copy of the Full Feature Software. Help, Instructions, Tips:Install Full Feature Software – Printer   If it remains a steaming Pile of Rubble, you might contact HP Technical Support: If you are in the USA / Canada, fill in the Web form and leave contact information:Contact HP – USA - Assistance HP Tech support/ Customer Service – Some English Speaking CountriesIncluding UK and Europe  When you see a Post that helps you,Inspires you, provides fresh insight,Or teaches you something new,Click the "Thumbs Up" on that Post. Click my Answer Accept as Solution to help others find Answers.

  • HP Officejet Pro 8610 4X6 Borderless Printing

    Hello,
I have an HP Officejet Pro 8610 on Windows 7 x64.  It says 4x6 photo paper is supported.  But, when I tried to print to this size, the 8610 refuses to pickup the paper.  I've tried all the 4x6 HP photo paper settings, but still no go.
Is 4x6" photo paper not supported?  Or, how do I get it to print at this size?

  • Help please HP Officejet Pro 8600 & HP Photo creations

    Hardware:
iMac running OS X Yosemite latest update
    HP Officejet Pro 2 trays
I just downloaded HP photo creations and have a layout I am trying to print on 4x6 photo paper. It shows fine onscreen but isn't printing out the way I see it on the screen. Items are getting cut off. I have tried using scale to fit but it is still cutting the pictures off. I tried scale to fit (crop) and it didn't work either. Am I missing something as to why the pictures won,t print as seen in the screen?? The first print I tried was actual size and it and the following print were cutting of the top and bottom of the photos and cutting the photo comments in half or more. What can I do to fix this as the layout on screen is perfect. Very frustrated. Any help would be appreciated as I am trying to print these for Christmas cards. Thanks in advance for any help or light you can shed on the subject.

Thanks for your perseverance! If the file size is too large, you could open the image in Preview and save it as a JPEG. (Select "Export" from the File menu.) By default, the Mac saves screenshots in the larger PNG format.

  • Officejet Pro 8625 Printer Error Please turn printer off, then on

Upon power up and connection to wiFi all appeares to be functioning properly.  Can even e-print.  All is still well when printer goes to sleep (will wake-up and e-print).  After about 10-15 minutes will get a white screen with an message "Printer error  Please turn printer off, then on"  all other lights are flashing including power button. I have tried updating windows and print drivers.  This first happened about two weeks ago.  After updating print drivers all appeared to be well until three or four days ago then it has all started again. HELP PLEASE

  • Officejet pro 8625 copy scan print time

Copy ,print and scan time is about three minutes. I have tried both usb and wireless conections, as well as reinstalling software and cycling router and network connections. This is an out of box machine 3 days old. The first day was fine day 2 is when the problems started. Any solutions would be helpful. HP print and scan doctor cant pick up on it. It sounds like it is working the whole time then it prints.

Hey , Welcome to the HP forums! I hope you enjoy your stay here. I see that you are having some slow printing and copying on your Officejet 8625 printer. I can help with that. To start make sure the printer is plugged directly into a wall outlet and not a surge protector. Once that is done we'll try doing a copy. If that copies right away that's great. If it does not then we'll perform a hard reset on the printer by removing the power cable from the back of the pritner while it's turned on and then we'll try to copy again. Let me know if this resolves everything. If it does then please let others know by clicking on Accept as Solution below my post. I hope this helps and I hope you have a great weekend!

  • OfficeJet Pro 8620 Can't print black only on other media types

Why won't the OfficeJet Pro 8625 driver allow me to print using black only on non-plain media types?
I purchased an OfficeJet Pro 8625 for general home printing and to print shipping labels for my business.  I purchased a second tray so I can keep both plain paper and shipping labels in the printer all the time.
To select the labels, I had to pick a media type for the labels tray.  I can't choose labels, so I chose Cardstock.  But when I select Cardstock as the type in the driver when printing, it will not allow me to select black ink only.  I want to print black only because the shipping labels come out a little bit fuzzy, with color fringes when printed in color.
I'm not worried about ink usage.  I'm an Instant Ink subscriber.  I need the labels to be crisp, and printed full color they aren't crisp.
What's the deal here?  Why can't I select black only?

Hello @clough42 and welcome to the HP Forums!
I'm sorry to hear that you've had issues printing in black ink only on anything other than plain paper, but I will certainly see what I can do to help out
I'd recommend that you download and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor. If it fails on anything please return and let me know what happened and where it failed and we will go from there.

  • How do I print 4x6 photos on an HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus via Windows Photo Viewer or Gallery

Dear Experts, I've got an HP Officejet Pro 8600 printer with just one paper tray in which I loaded 4x6 photo paper.
The printer was purchased in January 2014, the latest drivers are installed. Now I would like to print a single 4x6 photo using Windows Photo Viewer or Gallery.I loaded the 4x6 photo paper  into the tray as indicated by the little icon labeled 4x6in, so I suppose I got the HW part right. It's just the SW part which gives me a hard time. The available paper size options in Windows Photo Viewer and Gallerydon't include photo paper sizes, just the standard paper and envelope sizes.Hence I checked in the HP Printer Assistant in "Set Preferences" what kind of paper sizes are available, and there is exactly the same list as proposed by Gallery, missing photo paper sizes. So I guess Gallery just picks the sizes from the driver and ther are no photo paper sizes. This is an issue because I prefer to print from my PC using Win 7 or Win 8 and not from a SD card or a USB stick. Any help is very welcome, thank you in advance!

Thank you for this link! Actually I installed a brand new Windows 8 system in January 2014 and then bought the HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus printer a few days later. To install this printer I did not use the CD that came with it but already used this link. Just to be sure that I have the latest version I again reinstalled the driver. The result is definitive: You cannot print common photo paper sizes like 4x6,  5x7, 8x10, etc. via a PC using photo SW like HP Photo Creations, MS Gallery, Windows Photo Viewer or any other SW on a HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus. The reason is most likely that HP marketing decided that an Officejet should not be smart enough for photos, after all the company sells also Photosmarts. Because you cannot create your own formats  you are limited by the driver to what is typically available in an office, in this case:  A4, Letter, legal, Statement, Executive, A4, A5, A6, B54 (JIS), Envelopes #10-DL-C5-C6-A2-Monarch, Japanese Postcard, Japanese Envelope Chou #3-#4, L, 2L, O**bleep**u hagaki, Index Card Letter-A4, Edge-to-Edge Letter-A4, Env. Japanese No 3-No 4 and that's it, not more. Thank you anyway for trying to help me but in this case only the SW developers in HP can help.It would be great to be able to print from time to time a 4x6 photo on this printer like I would do.Copying photos on a USB stick or on a SD card first and then use this way to print on the printer is too cumbersome for me.
