HP Omni 10 Accessories

So, I called HP to see if it was possible to get another charger for the Omni 10. Their parts department didn't have them and didn't have a part number.
The only accessory I've seen is the case.
No keyboard, no power charger, no car adapter, etc.
So, if you buy an Omni 10 be careful with the proprietary charger...you're not going to be able (easily) to get another.

Sebr
I have a 5600ea model which ships with the same 1m charger, which allows you to remove the plug end and replace it with a figure of eight lead of any length.
I guess like many people you were so eager to charge the device that you forgot about this.

  • HP Omni 10 (Win 8.1) - Almost ignored?

    Is there any reason that this tablet is almost being completely ignored on the HP website and by retailers and the tech news world? None of the major sites has done a review and the HP website page for the device is incomplete and says "Coming Soon".
    There's no accessories listed either.

    I found a good number of reviews and articles about the tablet by Googling it -- it doesn't seem like there's anything unusual about the amount of tech news coverage. Also, the Omni 10 is for sale through Microsoft, here. It looks like HP and MS partnered on this product -- I wonder if it might be sold exclusively through MS. Not sure, but from what I can tell that seems likely.

  • HP Omni second Monitor

    I purchased a new Dell Monitor to hook up to my OMni as well as a VGA tu USB cable, how do I set up dual monitors?

    Hi,
    Not much information about your machine:

  • HP Omni 10 5600eg: Install Windows 8.1 Pro x86

    Hi,
    is it possible to install Windows 8.1 Professional (32 bit) on the Omni 10 without problems?
    Are there any how-tos available?
    Regards
    Andreas

    Hi @AndreasN  , welcome to the HP Forums. I understand you are looking for an instructional to install Windows 8.1 Pro x 32 on your Omni tablet.
    If you are saying that you want to install a retail copy of Windows on it, I do not have an instructional for you and I have never done it on an Omni tablet. I cannot guarantee you wouldn't have any problems, but I can give you a few things you will need. Here are the drivers you will need:
    HP Omni 10 5600eg Tablet Drivers
    If you have Windows 8.1 DVD's you would need a computer to make an installation USB drive to get it on your tablet:
    Create installation media for Windows 8.1. There are many other instructionals out there as well, if you need more info.
    If I am wrong, and you just mean to do a factory reset, these instructions cover that: Recovering Software on Your HP Tablet (Windows 8)
    I hope this helps.

  • New inserted detail row is not showing through accessor

    I have to insert master and detail row. I insert row in master view  and then I get detail row using getAttribute on master view. Then I insert row into detail row. Result is one inserted master row and no data display in detail view.
    How ever in managed bean when I get master view using finditerator and then get detail row also using finditerator on the specific page then rows inserted on master and detail view appear.
    DCIteratorBinding dcIter =             ADFUtils.findIterator("PlotMst1Iterator");
    ViewObject mvo = dcIter.getViewObject();
    mvo.insertRowAtRangeIndex(0, row);
    mvo.setCurrentRow(row);
    Row row = mvo.createRow();
    // DETAIL ACCESSOR  not working
      //  RowSet Pd = (RowSet) row.getAttribute("PlotDtl");
    DCIteratorBinding dcIter2 =       ADFUtils.findIterator("PlotDtl2Iterator");
    ViewObject dvo = dcIter2.getViewObject();
    nvp.setAttribute("FabricCode",r.getAttribute("FabricCode"));
    Row drow = dvo.createAndInitRow(nvp);
    dvo.insertRow(drow);

    Hi,
    its a classical programming mistake you do. You create a new row on the model layer and not the binding layer. The proper way of doing this would be to
    1) either create a method binding for the "CreateInsert" operation in the PageDef file and call it from there
    or
    2) DCIteratorBinding dcIter = ADFUtils.findIterator("PlotMst1Iterator");
        Row rw = dcIter.getRowSetIterator().createRow();
    Same for your attempt to create the detail row. Again you can expose the createInsert operation in the PageDef file or use the RowSetIterator. As you create a master and detail row at the same time, be aware of a constraint problem that may arise from this as you have no guarantee that the master is inserted first. Read this http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E35521_01/web.111230/e16182/bcentities.htm#CEGJAFCF to learn about the problem.
    Note that use case often matters. While I can see where your coding goes wrong, I can't tell if your approach in general could be chosen better

    Logic does not see my hd omni as an input device. Any ideas?  I've been told to reinstall logicpro - but apple won't let me because it says its already installed on this machine.

    I'm having the same issue with a file called IMG_2353.MOV that was imported into iPhoto from my iPhone and also have to manually select the items to import (so the rogue file doesn't error everything out). I've tried using Image Capture to locate/delete the file directly from my iPhone, but even though I can SEE it in Image Capture, I can't delete it or anything. This is VERY frustrating! My friend/Apple guru's only suggestion was to backup my phone then restore it through iTunes. Risky but should do the trick. I'm too scared to try, though!

  • Omni 10 touch screen does not work / Tablet Omni 10 non funziona il touch screen

    After updates to Windows, the tablet does not recognize the touch screen.
    I tried all the recommendations of the forum but to no avail !! it is impossible that HP does not have a solution to the problem? I see that others have similar problems, so it is a manufacturing defect? Amazon also because I would replace the product with another Omni 10 but if this has the same problem, I take the money and make change. thanks
Grazie

    Hey @MaxAlex72 ,
    Welcome to the HP Forums!
    I understand you're experiencing issues with the touch screen on your Omni 10 tablet.
    I would suggest following these guides:
    Windows 8 System Restore Guide
    Troubleshooting Touch Screen Issues in Windows 8
    If neither of those options help it would be best to contact HP Phone Support for service options. Please call our technical support at 800-474-6836. If you live outside the US/Canada Region, please click the following link to get the support number for your region: Phone Assist Worldwide.

  • Omni 10 touchscreen does not work

    I have a 4 month old OMNI 10 5600US, S/N [edited by Moderator]
    The touchcsreen fails to start when I turn on the tablet.  Since this is a tablet, I am perty much dead in the water.
    How do i go about getting this fixed?

    @george-p: Are you serious? This is just a bad joke, isn't?! Instead of helping a user to troubleshoot his problems and fix them, all you do is to quote the forum rules while completely ignoring the question itself. Great support you guys from HP doing there, just as I experienced also in the past. That's why I am done with this company's products!
    @joe: you sure the touchscreen stopped working or the device maybe locked up after start? Try connecting a mouse and keyboard via USB hub and a USB OTG cable. If this works you can try to refresh windows without loosing your data.

  • How to call a web service that is managed by web services manager from omni

    Ok gurus... here is an interesting one for you.
    We have a set of web services that are deployed to our server. We have Oracle Web Services Manager deployed to another server and is acting as a gateway to our web services.
    We would like to call our web service and pass it the username and password that were specified in the omniportlet connection information screen. How do we go about doing this?
    PS. We are using the latest version of portal (10.1.4).
    Thanks for your help.
    Cheers,
    Cory

    Just a follow up. What I would like to do is to have omni portlet add standard header information for security such as the following:
    <soap:Header>
    <wsse:Security xmlns:wsse="http://docs.oasis-open.org/wss/200401-wss-wssecurity-secext-1.0.xsd">
    <wsse:UsernameToken xmlns:wsse="http://docs.oasis-open.org/wss/200401-wss-wssecurity-secext-1.0.xsd">
    <wsse:Username>theusername</wsse:Username>
    <wsse:Password>thepassword</wsse:Password>
    </wsse:UsernameToken>
    </wsse:Security>
    </soap:Header>
    Any ideas on how to get omniportlet do this? Any ideas on where to look for the answer? Oracle dudes: Any plans to add this to future releases?
    Thanks again folks :-)

  • I want to output from my 27-1007ev Omni to my tv using hdmi ...

    Hi
    My Omni 27-1007ev has an HDMI port that I want to use to output online tv from my pc to my actual tv (in order to get UK tv here in Cyprus).
    The manual is not clear on this but trials show that the connection appears to be one way only and that is from a games console into the pc. I want to go the other way.
    With an HDMI cable attached pressing the top button (pc right hand side adjacent to HDMI port) brings up a game mode message on a grey screen.
    The second from top button brings up a facimile of the buttons on screen with this button having a no entry sign over it. The volume buttons have no effect on pc screen as stated in the manual.
    The TV screen stays blank throughout.
    Anyone got any ideas.
    Thanks Rop
    This question was solved.
    View Solution.

    Here are the specs for your HP Omni 27-1007ev Desktop Computer. According to the specs, the HMDI port on the side is for "Game console and/or video player input only". Please see this HP document entitled "Using an HDMI Game Console or HDMI Video Player with your Omni27 PC" for the proper connection and use of the HDMI input on your computer.
    To connect your HDMI TV to your Omni 27-1007ev computer will require the use of a USB-to-video adapter such as the EVGA UV Plus+ UV39 or similar adapter.

  • What's the Java Class Type corresponding 2 projectGantt's SubTasks Accessor

    Hi,
    I expose my java class as data control, and use the data control as a projectGantt. I get problem when i try to set the SubTask Accessor.
    I have a Fusion Web App, in the Model project, i write 2 java class: ( all the private fields has public gettors and settors which are omitted here)
    1
    public class GanttTask {
    private List<GanttTask> _subTaskList = new ArrayList<GanttTask>();
    2
    public class GanttDataControl {
    private List<GanttTask> _dataList;
    I expose the 2nd class: GanttDataControl.java as a data control by right click on it and select _"Create Data Control "_ from the drop down list.
    The data control creation is ok.
    I Drag&Drop the +"dataList"+ from the data control as a projectGantt, and only finish the data binding in the _"Tasks"_ tab.
    I run the page, the projectGantt shows ok with a FLAT(list) structure.
    I try to set the binding in _"Subtasks"_ tab.
    In the _"Subtasks Accessor"_ LOV, the +"subTaskList"+ appears in the LOV.
    I select it and finish the binding below it.
    I try to run the page again, the page cannot be showed and an error appears in JDeveloper:
    <LifecycleImpl> <_handleException> ADF_FACES-60098:Faces lifecycle receives unhandled exceptions in phase RENDER_RESPONSE 6

    i try to manually add the subTaskList from the data control to the page's "Bindings", it doesnt work.
    I solve this problem by using VO & View Link. Add using AM to expose data control.
    In the SubTasks dropdown list, I notice that, there is an additional SubTasks accessor which is the accessor that i defined in the View Link.
    I use this accessor, problem solves!

  • Bug in bc4j?, view links at runtime, multi table relationships, accessor name

    The following seems like a bug in the business components framework
    to me:
    To make things simple, I will use view objects aV, bV, cV,
    corresponding rows aR, bR, cR and row iterators aI (not used though),
    bI, cI.
    I create two view links from aV to bV and from bV to cV at runtime,
    with the accessor names "Bs" and "Cs".
    ViewLink a2b = createViewLinkBetweenViewObjects(..., "Bs", ...);
    ViewLink b2c = createViewLinkBetweenViewObjects(..., "Cs", ...);
    First of all this code works perfectly fine:
    ViewObject aV = a2b.getSource();
    ViewObject bV = a2b.getDestination();
    ViewObject cV = b2c.getDestination();
    while(aV.hasNext())
    Row aR = aV.next();
    System.err.println("aR");
    while(bV.hasNext())
    Row bR=bI.next();
    System.err.println(" bR");
    while(cV.hasNext())
    Row cR=cI.next();
    System.err.println(" cR");
    Using the accessor name "Bs" at the first level is ok, too:
    ViewObject aV = a2b.getSource();
    while(aV.hasNext())
    Row aR = aV.next();
    System.err.println("aR");
    RowIterator bI=(RowIterator)aR.getAttribute("Bs");
    while(bI.hasNext())
    Row bR=bI.next();
    System.err.println(" bR");
    HOWEVER, USING THE ACCESSOR "Cs" AT THE SECOND LEVEL OF THE MULTITABLE
    RELATIONSHIP IN THE FOLLOWING CODE, GIVES ME AN EXCEPTION
    oracle.jbo.NoDefException: JBO-25002: Definition Cs of type Attribute
    not found. THE SEEMS LEGAL USAGE OF THE ACCESSOR "Cs" TOO ME THOUGH,
    THEREFORE MY SUSPICION OF A BUG.
    ViewObject aV = a2b.getSource();
    while(aV.hasNext())
    Row aR = aV.next();
    System.err.println("aR");
    RowIterator bI=(RowIterator)aR.getAttribute("Bs");
    while(bI.hasNext())
    Row bR=bI.next();
    System.err.println(" bR");
    RowIterator cI=(RowIterator)bR.getAttribute("Cs");
    while(cI.hasNext())
    Row cR=cI.next();
    System.err.println(" cR");
    (By the way, could make your window for filling in the message a little bit wider,
    making it easier to cope with the line breaks).
    Feedback is appreciated.

    Your results are as expected per the imlementation. Basically you've established (two) ViewLinks between two sets of two instances of VOs.
    Now you try and get an accessor to return a set of details. You need to establish a link between that detail set and it's details to use the accessor on the second detail to get the desired results. Basically you've to establish the chaining between appropriate instances of VOs and not just the outer VOs or VO members of your AM.

  • How to get the view link definition from the view link accessor

    Hi,
    I am using Jdev 10.1.3 and ADF BC. I am trying to do deep copy in a master/details view, after the new child record is created, I want to update the foreign key attribute. I know I can get the list of attribute definitions from the row in the view object, which include the view link accessors, I am wondering if I can get the view link definition from the view link accessors, so that I can get the source and destination attribute names.
    Thanks!

    Hi,
    you should get this through
    ViewObject vo = this.findViewObject("LocationsView1");
    int indx = vo.getAttributeIndexOf("DepartmentsView");
    ViewAttributeDefImpl vAttrDefImpl = (ViewAttributeDefImpl) vo.getAttributeDef(indx);
    ViewLinkDefImpl vdefImpl = (ViewLinkDefImpl) vAttrDefImpl.findViewLinkDefImpl();
    Note that this code starts from the ApplicationModuleImpl class, which is why I used this.findViewObject().

  • Omni 10 SD performance

    I ran some benchmarks on the Omni 10's SD performance, and came away disappointed.  Using a Samsung MB-MGCGB 64GB MicroSDHC Pro card and CrystalDiskMark 3.0.3, I got the following results:

    This is a UHS-1 card, so I was expecting better.  I have the latest driver package installed, and HP's Omni 10 specs page says it has an "Integrated micro SD card, support SDXC in DDR50, SDR25 and SDR12 mode".  I've seen much better results reported for the Venue 8 Pro, so I'm not sure what to think.
    This is fast enough for media files, but hopelessly slow for hosting applications.  I'd appreciate additional data points and/or insights from the community.

    Thanks for the info; very helpful.  It turns out the card I tested was an elaborate fake (complete with nearly perfect foil-printed packaging).  I bought a nominally identical Samsung card at Best Buy, and the results improved.  Under H2benchw, the genuine Samsung card managed 18.3 MB/s for reads and 13.6 MB/s for writes.  This is very close to what you reported, so it looks like that might be the best the Omni 10 can do.
    CrystalDiskMark results for the genuine card:
    Sequential Read :    23.445 MB/s
    Sequential Write :    15.836 MB/s
    Random Read 512KB :    22.781 MB/s
    Random Write 512KB :    15.355 MB/s
    Random Read 4KB (QD=1) :     7.033 MB/s [  1717.0 IOPS]
    Random Write 4KB (QD=1) :     2.138 MB/s [   521.9 IOPS]
    Random Read 4KB (QD=32) :     7.265 MB/s [  1773.7 IOPS]
    Random Write 4KB (QD=32) :     2.099 MB/s [   512.6 IOPS]
    Comparison to performance of the 32GB internal eMMC, in percentage terms:
    27.06%  Sequential Read
    35.58%  Sequential Write
    28.71%  Random Read 512KB
    42.00%  Random Write 512KB
    63.37%  Random Read 4KB (QD=1)
    18.71%  Random Write 4KB (QD=1)
    23.53%  Random Read 4KB (QD=32)
    14.18%  Random Write 4KB (QD=32)
    This level of performance remains lower than I was hoping for, but might be adequate for applications with modest I/O demands.  I suppose it's acceptable for a device that's otherwise such a good value.  If only they could provide drivers that keep it from freezing every few hours...

  • Problems with Modbus OMNI driver

    Lookout version 5.1 (build 8)
    I am using the Modbus OMNI driver to communicate with 6 OMNI 6000 flow computers at 56K (Hardwired) with a poll rate of every 20 seconds, receive gap 270 bytes and a failure of 1000mS.
    The problem I have is that when scanning the OMNI, not only are they slow to respond hence the long delays between scans, but I am also finding that the OMNI data for handling digital outputs is being corrupted causing?? them to fire faster than the period I have set in the OMNI. i.e. if I set a pulse output to occur when 1m3 of fluid has past I should get one pulse from the digital output. What is happening is that the outputs slowly start firing much quicker than this until we lose control of the signal and have to reconfigure the flow computer.
    Is there a possibility that Lookout is corrupting some of the memory areas within the OMNI and causing this.
    I see from other users that they are having problem with slow responses from this driver.
    Any advice you have on this matter would be useful
