Hp omni 120-1132 desktop pc series monitor brightness

How do I adjust the brightness of the monitor?  It's like the sun is in my room.  I've googled it and all I've found is some reference to a slider bar in power settings and I don't have that.  I'm running Windows 7.
Thank you

Hi MissJulie,
I understand you are having issues with the brightness on you HP Omni 120-1132 desktop. The brightness button would depend on what your display settings are set to on the laptop. If you have the PC on automatic brightness this would automatically make changes and f2 and f3 would be over ridden. Here is a Microsoft document that would show you how.

Let me know how this goes.

  • HP OMNI 120-1132 DESKTOP PC- won't turn on

    Ok,
So my computer won't turn on. I plug it it, my led indicators flashes for a while (about 15 minutes) along with my power on button (it flashes blue and amber). After about 15 minutes the green led stays solid and the computer remains off. Then when I try to start it, it all starts flashing over again. My ac adaptor isn't warm until it blinks. I have followed the trouble shooting guides. I have unplugged it, plugged it into the wall, held the button, unplugged, plugged again. It just keeps repeating. Is it my power cord? Or do I have a bigger problem?

  • Screen Flickering - HP Omni 120-1132 desktop

Hi. I have about a year old Omni 120-1132 all-in-one desktop running Windows 7. The last two days I've noticed screen flickering. I've checked cables, all my drivers are up to date, but I still have this flickering. It's not bad - I notice it mostly on pages that are a dark background (like Tumblr, for example) - but it is annoying. Is there something else or somewhere else I should be looking to resolve the issue?
    Thanks!

I went back through and adjusted the power saving settings to "balanced" and the flickering seems to have stopped. the screen is super bright now, but the flickering is gone. hopefully.
If anyone else needs to try it:
    -control panel
    -hardware and sound
    -power options
-switch back to 'balanced' if you'd previously adjusted your monitor settings

  • WEBCAM Driver: HP Omni 120-1136 Desktop PC

    Hi :
Surprised that I could NOT find on HP's website in the section for this particular computer the drivers for the webcam built in to this very nice HP All-in-One, Windows 7 64BIT computer.
    Details:
HP Omni 120-1136, Desktop PC, S/NPersonal information removed); P/N: H2M54AAR.
       AMD E2-188 @ 1.7GHz
Maybe some of you might be able to send me an email with a clickable link to that file, P L E A S E & Thank You.
    Patrick

    Hello again Paul:
Well, I'm configuring this nice HP for re-sale. When I clicked on the desktop icon for the built-in we cam I got the following error message (verbatim):
The application failed to start because it's side-by-side configuration is incorrect. Please see the application event log or use the command-line sxstrace.exe tool for more information.
That sounded MUCH more complicated than simply downloading and re-instaling the app/driver.
It's amazing to me (and you from your previous comments to me about webcam software availability) that HP does NOT typically show webcam software on it's site for the computer they sell that come with built-in cams. Mysterious. Frustrating to BOTH of us.
Again, thanks for coming to my rescue. When next in Central Fla. stop by for lunch - on me... !

  • Hook up a hd tv to my omni 120/1126

how to hook up my omni 120 1126 windows 7 home premium to a hd tv

Here are the spec for your HP Omni 120-1126 Desktop Computer. According to the specs, there is no mention of a video output on the computer. Based off this information, I recommend you purchase a USB-to-video adapter such as the EVGA UV Plus+ UV39 or UV19. These adapters will allow you to send video from the computer to your HDTV.

  • Yamaha Intros HS Series Monitors, the classic Yamaha NS10M..

New HS Series Monitors from Yamaha
    http://news.harmony-central.com/New...0M-HS10W-lg.jpg
    September 2, 2005
The HS Series is a two-way, internally powered speaker system designed to provide reference monitoring for all types of recording and multimedia applications--home studios, computer-based music production, gaming systems, keyboards rigs and personal computer systems. Three cabinet models, the HS50M (MSRP $249.95), HS80M (MSRP $449.95) and HS10W (MSRP $599) subwoofer will be available in October 2005 and will replace current model MSP10 Studio. All products are sold and packaged individually, making it easy to build flexible monitor setups and 5.1 systems.
The 70-watt HS50M (5-in. cone and 3/4-in. dome tweeter) and 120-watt HS80M (8-in. cone and 1-in. dome tweeter) are housed in bass reflex-type cabinets, and reproduce surprisingly tight low end and smooth, high frequency response to beyond 20 kHz. Inputs include a balanced XLR and 1/4-in. phone jack. In addition to master level controls, each speaker has trim switches that allow you to custom-tailor low, mid and high frequency response for different applications.
The HS10W powered subwoofer contains a long-stroke, 8-in. 120-watt woofer and bass reflex design cabinet that maintains high efficiency and low distortion. Connections include dual XLR and 1/4-in. inputs, and three balanced XLR outputs (Mix, L&R). Controls include master level, phase and low/high cutoff frequency. The HS10W complements the HS speakers, and easily handles today's bass-enhanced music or the most dramatic surround effects.
HS Series enclosures are constructed of MDF material and a multiple layer finish that minimizes resonance. Design elements include a black finish and lighted Yamaha tuning fork logo. White polypropylene woofer cones recall the look of the classic Yamaha NS10M, and include low-damping rubber surrounds and full magnetic shielding.

I have acctually heard them - they were great in this price range. To get any better I concluded I would have to spend double.

  • Yosemite consolidating multiple desktops on dual monitors,

I have a Mac mini (mid 2010) - 2.4 GHz - 350 GB - Yosemite 10.10.2 - with dual LG monitors. Instead of using Mission Control I prefer to have multiple desktops on each monitor. I dedicate a single app to each desktop, e.g., Safari, iTunes & iPhoto on Mon1 facing Mail, Messages & Calendar on Mon2, and swipe between apps, which I find more convenient. Six numbered desktops plus Dashboard.
In Mavericks this arrangement was preserved on restart. However, in Yosemite, all apps on Mon2 are consolidated in a single desktop, the remaining 2 desktops - 4 & 5 - have migrated blank to Mon1, PLUS an additional blank desktop - 6 - is generated on Mon1. The single desktop on Mon2 is now 7. On subsequent restarts there become eight, then nine, then ten desktops, etc.
I've been up and down the settings options, tried System Help, outside searches, and even mentioned the issue in passing during an unrelated Apple Tech Support call. To no avail. I had hoped that one of the updates would resolve this. It is easily but inconveniently resolved manually, but as I mentioned this was a non issue in Mavericks.
I mentioned this problem in an earlier post, but in less detail. Has anyone else experienced or heard of this?

I did find a workaround........ that works so far....... If I put FCPX into full screen mode.  Then my events dissapear!!!!  But if I toggle on and off the "Window/Show Events in a separate window" menu then the Events reappear and I can swipe between desktops and all the windows behave as they should.  That's a relief.  The old method doesn't work but at least this one does.  I hope this helps someone who is swiping like a mad man like I was.

  • Stretching desktop across two monitors with FX5600

    Hi
Can anyone please help me stretch my desktop across two monitors? I have just purchased an MSI FX 5600 VTD256 and am using it on a P4P800 ASUS Motherboard and Windows XP Machine. I can't get the desktop image to stretch over my two monitors. Instead it duplicates on each one. This is causing further problems within the CAD package I am using, as the dialog box positions are not being remembered.
    Any help much appreciated.
    Cheers,
    Link.

what driver version are you using ?
because they updated nview in the latest version to simplify it
anyway in the old ones (Nview 2.0) you dat to check the "Treat different outputs on the ... as separate videocards" or something lyke that in Display->properties->advanced->nvidia ...
in the new ones (Nview 3) is pretty much the same ... just look for it

  • Share desktops between dual monitors

I'm using OS X Yosemite 10.2.2 on my MacBook Pro. I just hooked up a second monitor and have it in a dual configuration.  I see that I can make new desktops in Mission Control for each monitor independently — but what I would like to do is to be able to scroll through the same set of desktops on either monitor.  So then I would have, say, 4 desktops, and I could left/right swipe between them on either my retina display, or my external monitor.  This would allow, for instance, me to display "Desktop 1" on both monitors at the same time, if I choose.
Anyone know how to do this?

Go into *System Preferences* and adjust the Tracking speed under *Keyboard & Mouse*. Adjust it until you get a smooth transition between the two monitors.

  • Omni 120-1136 PLEASE HELP!!

I have an Omni 120-1136, the power switch itself seems to not be working at all. Even pressing it with t he actual button removed all I get is a flash of power when i plug the power supply in. From what I understand this is soldered direct to the board, so in reality am I boned on getting it to power up? Can I just buy a keyboard with a power button on it? Or does the whole board have to go in for service?

  • What Monitor Brightness is required for Accurate Editing ?

My 26 inch NEC monitor was 5 years in March this year.
For the first 3 years or so I was easily able to achieve the Maximum Luminance of 110 candelas per square metre (cd/sqm) recommended by the Match 3 software supplied with my Gretag Macbeth Eye-One Display2 monitor calibration hardware.
However, over the last couple of years, the Cold Cathode Fluorescent Tubes supplying the monitor's backlighting have gradually begun to dim and now, April 2014, the Maximum Luminance I can achieve is only 84 cd/sqm. Nevertheless, I can still achieve a Color Temperature of 6500K and the Color Curves are also pretty good, all 3 lying on top of each other and positioned directly on the 45 degree axis, with just a slight dip in the top right-hand corner.
    So, 2 questions:
    1. Can I achieve accurate and reliable editing with such a low monitor brightness; and
    2. Will my images developed in ACR (and, processed in Photoshop, for that matter), appear acceptable to others with newer, properly calibrated monitors displaying significantly higher brightness levels?

    Absolutely no need to apologize.
It was well worth the relatively trivial expense and effort to confirm that what I had been using was in fact adequate for the job.
Sorry if you thought I may have been having a dig at you. Nothing could be further from the truth. My comments regarding my unsatisfactory experience were only made for the benefit of others who might be thinking about a similar upgrade and to give them some incentive to check alternatives before taking the plunge. I should have made that clear right at the start.
One invaluable thing I learned, by watching a number videos about the profiling exercise with the i1 Profiler s/w, was that your previous advice regarding lower monitor brightness levels being unlikely to affect profiling accuracy was absolutely correct. The videos, several of them from X-Rite itself, made it very plain that it is perfectly OK to choose a Max Lum as low as 80 cd/sqm if that suits your individual taste and/or ambient lighting environment. That confirmation alone was more than worth the expense of the upgrade to the i1 Display Pro. Anyway, there's a very good chance that the i1 Display Pro will be suitable for the task when I come to upgrade my monitor - which, I fear, will not be in the too far distant future.
Don't think the sepia tint is subjective. Though slight, it was noticeable in both Photoshop and colour-managed ThumbsPlus 9. As I said, I was very familiar with the test images, which were made from scans of Kodachrome slides and I had a very good recollection of how the colours in each (original slides and the scans) should look.
Was not using the ADC setting for the critical calibration/profiling comparisons, although I did initially try it out and, like you, was not happy with the results.
Disk space footprint was never anywhere near a show stopper  - just a matter of interest really. Funny how s/w just keeps getting bigger and bigger and often with no significant improvement in functionality.

  • Unable to match monitor brightness and prints when printing from lightroom.

Trying to figure out how to print the brightness of what I see on the monitor. Running a windows 8 box with current Adobe creative cloud account. Trying to print directly from lightroom. Have a colormunki display and have calibrated the monitor which helped a bunch. Also turned off the color adjustments in the printer settings. Currently the monitor brightness is set to 0 (by the munki). Am printing on a canon pixma 9500 mkII and my printer drivers are up to date.. This is not just me being picky it is just plain off. Am printing on Moab Lasal Matte and/or Moab Pearl metallic and am also using the correct icc profile for it. If I raise the exposure to see the darker areas, my colors wash out. If I print where my calibration tells me to, the prints are too dark. Am having issues finding a middle ground. Even tried to raise the print adjustment brightness with no difference. With all that I have done and spent, I really feel like I should have better results. Can someone help?

Andrew Rodney has written the definitive answer to this issue: Why are my prints too dark? Article on Luminous Landscape
In summary the luminance of your monitor is to bright - try turning the luminance down to about 100 cd/m2.
Exactly what monitor luminance is ideal for your editing environment is a trial-and-error process.
    Viewing conditions are also important.
A print that is too dark for a dim viewing environment may be ideal in a much brighter environment.
