Is it possible to connect to the printer using a wireless P2P connection instead of a wireless network?
So you want to connect your laptop(or wireless enabled PC) to the printer wirelessly without a router? Well I'm not sure if this works for Laserjets, but turn on the wireless radio on the printer. Then on the laptop, search for a wireless network named 'hpsetup'. If you do, try to connect to it, and see if the printer and the PC get an IP address starting with 169.254.x.x.

Hello,
I have been using this printer for a few years now and have moved house a few times and successfully updated the wireless settings on the printer through HTML config. Lately, in printer utilities the HTML config button does not show up where it is meant to.
I have installed / uninstalled the latest firmware, software drivers, printers and made sure they were platform specific.
This is really annoying.
Is there old software available for download? it was working fine until the recent update - which I did so I could use the eprint features.

Macbook white, late 2008 model: 2.4Ghz Core2Duo, 4G RAM with OS X 10.6.8From the name of the printer, it looks like you have it installed through a USB connection.
Here is what I would. First go into “System Preferences” and then select either “Print & Scan” or "Print & Fax".
Right click (or control + click) on the rectangle listing your printers and then select “Reset Printing System”.
NOTE: This will delete all printers.
After you have reset the printing system, let's make sure you have the most recent HP driver package installed.
You can download it here: http://support.apple.com/downloads/DL907/en_US/HPPrinterDrivers2.14.dmg
Once you have downloaded the driver package and completed the installation, go into your print settings under System Preferences > Print & Scan. To add the printer, click the plus (+) sign. You should see your printer listed here. If not, click "Add Printer or Scanner." Click the name of your printer and then click "Use:” box. Make sure that says the name of your printer and not AirPrint. Next make sure that the printer "Kind:" is set to Bonjour or Bonjour Multifunction. Click "Add" down in the bottom right hand corner.
This will add your printer back using the most recent HP print driver available through Apple. Let me know if this helps resolve your issue or not. If it doesn't, let me know I will see what else I can do.

HP LaserJet P1102W - no print output in Linux Mint 17.1 Cinnamon Desktop
I've just done a default install of Linux Mint 17.1 - as feared, no print output.
I'm guessing I need to install a driver - but I couldn't find anything easily on HP site, only Windows/Mac OS stuff. Are HP printers generally linux friendly? Where can I download drivers if they are? More over, I'm a total linux newbie, so any drivers need to be easily installed! I'm not currently familiar with Terminal windows and line commands!
My printer does have wireless enabled, but I have it connected via direct USB also.
Linux Mint did offer to run a diagnostic tool/debugging tool which gave a great deal of what means nothing to me. Debug output is below if it is helpful, but hoping a simple driver install will cure all ...

Setting up HP LaserJet Pro P1102w for wireless but can not save wireless settings
This printer worked fine on wireless with my last TWC modem/router, but I have tried for hours to set it up with a new one and it simply will not let me. USB works fine, but when I follow the instructions found here: OS X Yosemite Wireless. I choose Method three at this link: Method three: Wireless setup using a USB connection. Here is what happens after this:
1. I downloaded the latest Apple HP drivers on my iMac (HPPrinterDrivers3.0.dmg).
2. Clicked Apple Software Updates to ensure I had the latest.
3. Turned on the printer
4. Has paper and is in ready mode with no flashing lights
5. Plugged USB from printer into iMac
6. Followed HP instructions: Systems Preferences > Printers & Scanners > Clicked on the P1102w printer which was already on the list > Open Print Queue > Open Printer Utility > HTML Config... > Network Tab > Wireless (confirmed it was enabled, I refreshed the network names and added my wireless network, added my wireless network password) > Apply.
This is where everything crashes. After clicking Apply, the page will show up blank, the HTML will be messed up, or I will receive a message that says:
Safari can’t open the page “http://;ocalhost:5050/cgi-bin/ip_wireless_result.htm”. The error is: “cannot parse response” (NSURLErrorDomain:-1017)
I have tried other Chrome and Firefox and got similar results. At this point, I am out of options based on the HP support sites that I have found. One HP site said to uninstall the HP software located in Libraries > Printers, so I did this.

I see that you are experiencing issues setting up the printer on the new router. I will certainly do my best to help you.
Make sure Safari is set as the default browser. Sometime the Embedded Web Server won't open or will error out, if it isn't. Open Safari, across the top select the Safari menu, select Preferences, General, set as default.
Restore printer defaults first and then run the HTML again. You may need to delete and add the printer again into the Printers and Scanners to be able to open the HTML again.
Restore defaults: Turn the printer off, hold down the wireless button and cancel (x button) while turning the printer back on and don't release the two buttons until the printer stops making noise.
Print a configuration page to make sure the old network settings are cleared. Printing a Configuration Page.
If you are still having issues, please check these settings on the router.
The printer is only capable of sending/receiving in the 2.4Ghz band.
If it is set to 5 GHZ network you may need to change to 2.4 GHZ. (rename the 5ghz or shut it off)
The WPA key setting needs to be on AES to work correctly not TKIP.
Multi casting needs to be turned on.
Firewall on router has to have open ports for printer.
If you have Mac Filtering you need to give printer hardware address from configuration page.
You might need to contact your router company for further assistance to check those settings.

IF it isn't compatible then see if their is an app that will allow you to print to it.
IF there is no app, then you can't use that printer to print from your Apple devices. -
I have a Dell Venue pro 8, I downloaded the drivers for the HP p1102w but they won't seem to install. Hp aio remote shows the printer but in divices under printer the p1102 shows up but says driver unavailable.

I see by your post that you are having issues installing the printer on Windows 8. I can help you.
How does it list the printer in Device Manager?
Can you right click and update the driver?
If not, then delete the printer entry, also under Universal Serial Bus Controllers look for USB Printing Support, USB Mass Storage Device or anything with a yellow exclamation mark or unknown device. Right click and uninstall the device.

Disregard the title.
Disconnect the USB cable.
Run the uninstall from the CD. To remove any printer files that did get installed.
Restart the printer and make sure the printer is connected directly to a wall outlet. (don't use a power hub or a surge protector) This ensures the printer is receiving full power and may help this situation.
Try and print a hardware self test on the printer to find out if it is in a Ready State. If the printer is in a error state, it won't be recognized when connected by a USB cable. Printing a Configuration Page.
Try another USB cable or USB port on the computer.
If you are using a Laptop, check the power management.
Go back into the Device Manager, under Universal Serial Bus Controllers, for each USB root hub, right click and left click on properties, for power management remove the check mark for "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power". It allows the computer to limit or turn off power for this device.
The USB cable should be connected directly to the computer and shouldn't be longer then 6 feet.
Is the cable a 2.0 or 3.0 cable?
How to determine whether a USB 3.0 device is operating at SuperSpeed?
Temporarily turn off the Antivirus Software to make sure there isn't any interference.
Run the installation again. Don't connect the USB cable until prompted.

We have received complaints from customers in the WebEx Connect Client peer-to-peer audio functionality. We know Cisco's announcement, after April 3, 2015, a customer has to use Jabber on WebEx Connect. But Jabber doesn't have the peer to peer audio function.
Customers to be continued use the WebEx Connect Client. Until Jabber with peer-to-peer audio functionality. I think customer claims is hot, and correct.

We escalated to the Webex Customer success Manager, but difficult to change the situation. If this goes on, customers consider stopping the WebEx contract renewal. and considering Skype or LINE for free talk function :(

- I successfully used bluetooth with a car phone about a year ago
- I have tried an iphone 5 with my soundbar, with same choppy/intermittent sound.
- However, it works perfectly when I stream from my computer using bluetooth.
Also, I have been in touch with Philips customer care, but I'm inclined to thinking the phone is the source of the problem... (Or, most likely, I am to blame..) -
Wrt54gs loses internet connection when using P2P Ares
I have a wrt54gs v5 and I've installed the latest firmware and reset back to factory then reconfigured. Whenever Ares is started all other computers (wired or wireless) lose their inet connection. Within 2-5 minutes of stopping Ares everything starts working again. I've checked Ares and it's set to am max of 10 connections.
I've hooked up my old befsx41 and it works fine but I need the wireless. Both of these are talking to a befcmu10 cable modem. I've never had problems with linksys before but from what I'm seeing on the forums the wrt54xxx doesn't seem to be of the same quality as the oldser stuff. Anyone know of any specific versions that fix this?

Message Edited by Maximus on 07-04-2007 02:13 PMSince your BEF works with P2P, why don't you simply convert your WRT into a WAP (wireless access point). This way you will use the wireless of the WRT, while using the BEF to handle all the routing chores.
To do this, setup the BEF as your primary router.
Then wire one computer to port 1 (not the Internet port) on the WRT. (Note: Disconnect everything else from the WRT at this time.)
Then in the WRT do the following:
Turn off the DHCP server.
Set the "Local IP address" to 192.168.1.2 (assuming no other device on your network is using this fixed LAN IP address, and assuming the BEF is set to use the 192.168.1.x address space.)
Save your settings. Power down the WRT.
Next, connect any numbered port on the WRT to any numbered port on the BEF. Do not connect anything to the Internet port on the WRT.
The BEF will control your router settings (DHCP server, port forwarding, etc.)
The WRT will control your wireless settings.
Please let me know whether this setup allows your P2P to work properly. -
My iPad is on the same network as the Airport Extreme. The HP printer is on the list of Airprint printers but I'm not using it as a wireless printer, per se, as it's hooked up to the USB port on the Airport Extreme.
I installed the HP ePrint app on my iPad. Unfortunately, the app could not find the printer either.

Not necessarily. AirPrint uses a protocol separate from the communication protocol used for the Extreme's USB port. The HP printer may disable AirPrint when its USB port connected to a valid device, which is my reason for recommending you use it wirelessly.
From AirPrint Basics:
AirPrint printers connected using Bluetooth or shared through a USB port of a Mac, PC, AirPort Base Station, or Time Capsule are not supported.
AirPrint printers connected by Ethernet are supported in OS X.

HP's Mac support has always been miserable though. I have been much happier since I abandoned HP and started buying Brother printers. They just work. -

This is a very important functionality that you are describing here. For example, in the Steel industry, it could be extremely useful to cost by batch or serial number.
If you receive a batch that already exists in the system and if the costing method for the product is moving average, then teh cost of the batch should be calculated based on the moving average as well.
If the costing method is standard, then the cost should go in a variance account.
If the costing method is FIFO, then it is a getting trickier...

How to Print Labels? - HP LaserJet P1102W
I'm close to pulling my hair out here. I recently purchased a LaserJet P1102W as a replacement for my LaserJet 1022n that finally gave out. I am trying to print Avery file labels (template 5066). I am using the old file document, I simply need to reprint. So, I open the file and select 'Print' and then hit 'OK'. On my old model, the Attention light would blink red until I hit what I guess is the ok/accept button (I think it was the button with the triangle and the ! inside, but I can't be sure now) - it would then send the print job for the labels though, allowing me to put the label sheet in first and then it would feed that through from the main tray.
With this new model, I follow exactly the same steps but I can't get the document to print. Hitting the Power button on this unit only turns it off. Hitting the Cancel button deletes the document from the queue and it won't print.
I just spent nearly an hour and a half with HP Live Tech Support and they can't seem to give me a straight answer. They're telling me they need remote access to fix the issue or they need me to delete and reinstall my drivers. One thing the techs are sure of is that it is not a hardware issue, simply user error. Even though I repeated the steps that I took and they say that everything is correct. I was also told to "please the paper", whatever that means.
I was hoping that I could find a fellow user of the P1102w here, or at least someone knowledgable who isn't reading from a book. It just feels like there's a step missing somewhere once I bring up the Print menu. Do I need to manually change a setting or direct it to pull from a certain tray? I'm just trying to do everything possible before I actually uninstall/reinstall the drivers. Also, all the software is current, no updates needed.
Someone please help! I'm losing it...or I've already lost it maybe. lol

I was having this problem too. The problem ended up being that I had turned off the status messages in the printer setup. When I turned the status messages back on, a window pops up when I try to print a label. I click "Continue" and it pulls the label from the manual feed.

During the driver installation process, you will be able to name the printer, in this scenario, since they are both the same printer, I might recommend naming one, print up and the other print down or something along those lines.
