HP P1102w says "off-line"

I have an LJ P1102w set up on my home network. Laptop 1 (Win7) has worked perfectly since the printer was set up and the dirvers were installed. Laptop 2 (winXP) worked fine when the driver was first installed, but it now says "printer off-line" and refuses to print. The printer is not off-line because it continues to work fine with Laptop 1. How can I get Laptop 2 to start working properly again?

The solution for an offline error of a printer is to check the proper connection of the printer.
Two options exist to turn off the offline mode.
If you choose the first option to change the offline state of the printer, then go to Control Panel and then ‘Printer and Faxes’ option on the Control Panel.
Double-click on the printer you want to change to online mode from the displayed window.
A pop-up window will open and you need to select ‘Uncheck Printer Offline‘ option from the menu bar.

Thanks for any help I can get. I'm the new guy here at school, and did not set up the system, so I'm not familiar with any of the individual steps for correcting problems. My question is listed in the window up top.

Thanks for the response. I tried to find out what you asked. For example:
1. Computer #35 is listed on the "all computers" screen but says "access denied", "not authorized", right click for " get info" has no administrators listed, and I don't know how to add my computer as one.
2. "Scanner" screen # 35 is not listed either in "Bonjour", or "Local Network" (ethernet interface)
3. "Scanner 2" screen - same.
4. "Scanner 3" screen - same.
5. "Computer Lab" screen #35 is listed, but says "off line", "access denied"
I hope this gives us somewhere to start and go from there. Thanks.

I have downloaded firefox but when i try to bring it up it says off line mode i dont understand because im connected to internet and i can get up my web search.... help

* File > Work Offline

FF4 download won't open--says off-line but no tool bar to fix.

FF4 download was a disaster--I was ok with FF3 anyway. When download complete, would not run because said I was in off line mode, but no way to change that. Eventually delete FF4 and tried new download. Same result. Tried computer restart to no effect. Tried W7 reset to earlier date to try to recoup FF3.?, but no response from FF3 icon. Now grudgingly using IE without my favorites or cookies, BUT NO TOOLBAR. Also my user profile for Dragon now corrupted.

Why does my printer say off line?

I hae a photosmart Premium C309A
It worked fine for a few weeks then IT STOPPED PRINTING OR SCANNING.
I have tried many times and I can't get it to print or fax.
I think it is HORRIBLE of HP not to have a functional phone assist since this is OBVIOUSLY
a recurrent problem since so many people are reporting the SAME problem.
So do I really have to uninstall, etc every time I move my lap top?

I HATE HP.
I tried to use the disc print option and the soft ware is REALLY BAD. Like TERRIBLE. you have NO CONTROL over
the imagery except to drag in something already formatted, but then you have the SIZE problem.
I am a professional video maker and was excited about this machine. But I ended up having to buy an Epson to do the
discs as their software for designing the discs is completely superior.
WHAT IS REALLY UPSETTING IS THAT YOU HAVE NO PHONE CONTACT THAT WORKS. I SAT THROUGH TWO HALF HOUR PHONETREES AND GOT CUT OFF BOTH TIMES.
I WILL NEVER NEVER NEVER BUT ANOTHER HP PRODUCT.
THIS SUCKS.

So I am from U.S. Came to South America for Christmas and won't be back for a month. I lost my iPhone on the plane as we were gathering our belongings. It was in airplane mode so I tried to track it and it says off line any ideas on how I can get it?

Just curious why the phone tracer did not work when I recently left my phone on a plane in another country and the person who found it has used it and and took it off air plane mode

I'm not sure how you know this, but if true, most likely they have since restored it which would remove the iCloud settings. The iPhone would now be in Activation Lock, though, and hence after restoring be useless to the person who found the iPhone. But as Tim said, contact the airline. It's possible they accessed it in an attempt to determine the owner.

Yahoo account says off line. How to get online?

mac osx 10.8.5. I set up yahoo & hotmail accounts in apple mail. Sometimes they work & in the address bar to the right it says online. Then either or both switch to offline. How can I get them to stay online? I was told that this has nothing to do w the internet. I do have an internet connection. This all started when I changed from comcast to verizon. I don't want to have to go online to verizon to get my email. Help? suggestions? Thanks!

My files say off line or missing. Its happened before and then I plug in my harddrive and their there. This time that didnt happen. I powered down and rebooted but nothing happened.

You could start by telling us your operating system, and version of Lightroom.
If you are on Windows, it is possible that the drive is assigned a different letter than before. If that's the case, then you simply need to change the drive letter back to whatever it was before.
Otherwise, you would have to reconnect the photos in Lightroom using this method: Adobe Lightroom - Find moved or missing files and folders

How do I get to print when my printer says "off line" ?

My HP Deskjet D4360 is plugged in and has 2 bars of colored ink and 1 bar of black ink showing on the printer; yet when I first turn on the printer, the golden ink drop flashes for 2-3 times and disappears. Does this mean that I still have to replace the ink cartridges now even though it shows bars of ink. When I go into the "help" area it said that ink levels are not available. Presently it isn't printing but haven't had a problem prior to this. Thanks.

that probably means that you have a password / security issue with your mail account. options-
first, chack the account from safari - or a computer, and make sure the id and password still work. If they do not, then the problem lies with the email provider. If they do -
go to settings, mail, and make sure the settings are right. Sometimes during an ios upgrade, they get mangled up.
if necessary, delete the account, and re enter it - paying particular attention to outgoing server name, port, and if asked, reenter your password.

Why does my printer say its off line

My printer HP Photosmartt C6300 keeps saying off line. I tried unplugging it, unplugging router and it still reads off line. I just installed new ink cartridges.

Running the diagnostics at http://www.hp.com/go/tools may help resolve the issue.

I have asked the Hosts to move it to Snow Leopard (you should not lose contact with it through any email links you get)
