HP Pavilion 11 x360 recorded audio gets really loud when silent, like auto adjustment

When I'm talking to friends on Skype, recording a video, or simply recording audio, during silent portions (where I'm not talking) my audio driver software (beats audio) tries to normalize the microphone levels, so it ends up making the background noise unbearably loud.
I've recorded a test file of what it sounds like, and can provide that upon request.
I've searched though beats settings and tried recording with everything on, and everything off. There's not an option for audio levels normalizing, so I cannot fix this on my own.

I have a few suggestions that may be able to resolve your sound recording issue. Here we go:
1. Go into Device Manager, then "Sound, video and game controllers".
2. Right click on the Audio driver, and select "uninstall".
3. Restart the computer. This will force a new audio driver to be written.
If that doesn't help, then I can continue to provide suggestions. I just need the following information:
1. The computer's model number. If you require assistance locating this information, please reference this website: Guide to finding your notebook product number
2. The computer's operating system. If you require assistance locating this information, please reference this website to determine your Windows operating system.
3. Does this occur on certain programs, or all programs?
4. Have you installed any new software or drivers on this computer, before the issue appeared?

Alert tones get SUPER LOUD when trying to record speech

Ok I am not sure how to search for this problem, even, and therefore haven't been able to find anyone else mentioning it anywhere.
If I am in the process of recording any speech to text on my iPhone 4s and a text message comes in at the same time, or if one comes in right before I'm going to press the mic button to record, then as soon as I press the mic, or in other words, while recording, the alert tone gets REALLY LOUD. I mean, REALLY loud. Instead of shutting off when you press the mic button, it actually gets too loud.
I haven't tried it with a regular ringtone to see if I get the same thing. I imagine it would probably stop recording if a phone call came in because it would kick me out of messages entirely. But this seems like a bug to me... if a text message or other alert is sounding and you hit record, it should shut off whatever alert is going on before it starts recording your speech.
Hope this makes sense. I am not sure if it started before or after this latest software update... I hadn't used the speech to text as much until recently. I love it (though some days it doesn't seem to understand me very well! I guess it's almost human in that way. ;-)

You are still under warranty. Call Apple Care. Make sure you get a case number as all repairs have an additional 90 days of warranty.

Likely that the battery is dead. I would make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store to confirm. Apple will replace the battery for this price:

I would suggest you stop use for a period of time until it cools down. When you turn it off, make sure you exit out of whatever program you are running. If it persists getting hotter, to the point where it's hard to hold, I would suggest you take it into the Apple store nearest you. Depending on how long you have had it, they may be able to replace it for you free of charge.
It is abnormal for that device to get extremely hot but when it is running multiple programs, such as playing music and surfing safari, it can heat up.

Recorded Audio Ruined by conforming when importing outside audio.

I've been having an issue where I record a commentary for a gameplay, and the audio comes out perfect when sampled at 48000hz, but then if I try to import some outside mp3s for sound effects, it changes the pitch of my voice and the other audio is imported at its regular pitch. How can I reverse this so that if anything, my gameplay commentary is not ruined?

Welcome to the forum.
One thought would be to convert those MP3 SFX files to PCM/WAV @ 48KHz 16-bit.
For any MP3 music files, I do that as part of my normal workflow. However, I have several collections of SFX files in MP3, that have never caused an issue - those, I just use in their supplied MP3 format. However, other collections might not work so perfectly, and MP3's, in general, CAN cause issues.
Hope that helps, and I would try converting just a very few and testing.

The fan gets really loud sometimes

I just bought my Mac a couple weeks ago, not more than a month ago, and I haven't really downloaded a lot onto my computer. But sometimes the fan comes on really loudly, like it's having a hard time cooling the computer. Granted this happens usually when I'm on a site or using a program that is graphic intensive, but it only started doing this sometime this week. Could there be something wrong with the computer?

Your MacBook is behaving as it should. The fan will come on when the CPU is working overtime.
You can run Activity Monitor in the background and see what processes are consuming CPU cycles when the fans come on.
It is Abode Flash more often than not on a website that gets the CPU working hard and the fans going.

When recording audio getting exception on MAC

I think the line which I am using for recording is using by some other application, but it's my guss only. Can any one please suggest how to solve this problem.

AJVOAF: Present record is getting is vanished when going for next record

Dear Friends,
In a table region i have 3 LOVs -- Material ,Subinventory and Locator ( I have made Subinventory and Locator LOVs as read only....as per Requirement)
when material lov is clicked it displays material,subventory and locator. (After Material VO extension)
I have succeeded in bringing this subinventory to READ ONLY Subinventory field by default , when material lov is clicked (this is the requirement)
For first time when i click material lov ,iam getting subinventory name in " READ ONLY Subinventory field " by default. ok fine . But for the second time when iam doing the same (clicking Material lov), as usual,iam getting subinventory name in READ ONLY Subinventory field by default ....... BUT the above first record of subinventory is getting vanished .
For the third time when iam doing the same (clicking Material lov), the second record of subinventory is getting vanished. For the fourth time when iam doing the same (clicking Material lov),the third record of subinventory is getting vanished.So now iam able to see only the fourth record only no first,second,third they r getting vanished. How to resolve it.
And when clicking ADD ROWS button in table region it showing error like " ROW 1 MATERIAL - SELECT A VALID VALUE"

Let me give my REQ in detail.
Mine is a stadard page (maintainence user RESP -----stores----one step material issue PAGE) . have 3 LOVs .MATERIAL,SUBINVENTORY ,LOCATOR.
SUBINVENTORY ,LOCATOR. -----------these two i have made read only.
MATERIAL lov itself displays SUBINVENTORY ,LOCATOR also.
So which ever material (say M1) is user is selecting, the corrosponding SUBINVENTORY ( M1-Sub) ,LOCATOR (M1-Loc) should by default come in SUBINVENTORY ,LOCATOR fields which i have made read only.
Similarly when user is selecteing M2 then, corrosponding SUBINVENTORY ( M2-Sub) ,LOCATOR (M2-Loc) should by default come in SUBINVENTORY ,LOCATOR. which i have made read only.
Here iam getting M1 , M1-Sub , M1-Loc properly
But when iam clicking M2 , iam getting M2 , M2-Sub , M2-Loc .BUT at the same time iam loosing M1-Sub , M1-Loc (these 2 fileds are disappering)
for M3 iam loosing M2-Sub , M2-Loc.
for M4 iam loosing M3-Sub , M3-Loc.

2010 Mac Pro fan gets really loud after 10.8.4 update

Hey all,
I've been having some issues with my fan since upgrading to 10.8.4, it's been incredibly loud compared to what it use to be. I typically run very graphic intensive programs and heavy video use but even simple tasks like browsing the apple site with nothing else running the fan slowly ramps up it a distracting volume. You can even hear it in the next room.
I've reset the ram, done a clean instal, blasted out any possible dust, it's in a well ventilated area, even run system hardware tests Nd everything passes I really don't know what else to try? I've searched lots on the Internet and I can't seem to find a solution nor do some others. Some say it will be a fix in a later update? Is this a known issue that needs to be fixed? I miss the snow leopard days :(
Everything was wonderful until 10.8.4...
Any advice or tips would be greatly appreciated I love my macs but can't work with really noisy machines.

I know there aren't 'as many' but it is better now than it use to and you don't need $2000 Quadro 5000 or something, a $600 GTX 680 or somethjng from EVGA will do
Don't know what but MacRumors did a good job on one thread detailing possible GPU AMD FirePro possibilities. Yes it is huge change.
People have always said that about PCs. I have a few. Not for gaming but that is the only way if you want like a small percentage of users, to spend on GTX 690 x 3 for $$$ (big bucks just for gaming).
I can't recall a Mac Pro 5,1 2010 with 2.66GHz (sounds like a 2009) and 12-cores. 2,26 GHZ yes but that is just, does not make sense to give up MHz for more cores. The 12-core 3.34GHZ custom build, yes, but again that was never an Apple BTO choice either.
Apple has always disappointed geekheads you might say.

You can always take your Mac in and give it a check-up for free. What will cost you is the repairs you select to have preformed. I recommend shutting your Mac down before you go to bed. Problem solved. There is no need for you to keep it running if all applications are quit. Why do you need it on?

My sound gets really loud then soft - what do I do to fix this?

My sound when playing music or videos on all systems (itunes, youtube, internet) fluctuates while the sound is in play. It will be really soft then suddenly change to very loud wihtout me changing any sound - back and forth constantly. I have speakers plugged into my laptop but it also happens when its just the normal speakers in the computer. I havent changed any settings for sound. What do I do?

My MBP Retina June 2012 - fan sound gets really loud using skype

Hi, i understand that it switches GPU when using high demanding applications.
Using Skype would cause my computer fan to be so noisy that it disrupts skype sessions.
But this has never happened in the previous macbookpros i have used before.
someone help please!

A disabled GPU will result in no screen image, so it can not be disabled.
I cannot give you exact temperatures for Skype because of too many variables. Case in point, my MBP at this time shows a CPU temperature of 27 c as I write this, That is a reflection of the cool ambient temperature at the present time. Normally it operates in the 40c to 50c range with similar applications open.
Skype will often generate CPU temperature of 80c or more. If it starts getting close top 100c or more, then that is approaching the thermal shut down point of approximately 105c. I would avoid operating the MBP for prolonged periods of 95c or more.
