what you do you expect them to be able to do with eachother ?
you can transfer files or data between them unless you find some 3th party program which does that

  • How to use bluetooth for data transmission

    Hi,
we would like to use the Iphone touch for display external data over bluetooth.
This is what we want to do:
    - Have a own App
    - Connection over bluetooth
The simplest system could be an Temperature and Humidity sensor with microcontroler and bluetooth module. Data should be send in SPP (serial Port Profile).
Now I have seen that SPP profile is not available on Iphone or Ipod.
Is there a chance to connect over other way and bluetooth ?
Do have anyone tip or know-how to do that and is there a chance
do make app legal for App store ?
    Thanks, for many helps !

HID Profile is a "Human Interface Device Profile", this allows connections between bluetooth keyboards, and similar devices. It's basically a "human convenience" that lets a user make input through another device.
The PAN Profile ("Personal Area Network) is a profile that can actually transmit and receive data. The data though is limited to peer-to-peer gaming (games that can be played with others in the vicinity). A good example is the Rock Band multiplayer, where players join up using Bluetooth (and not Wi-Fi, to prevent lag).
I believe there isn't any reverse HID applications (remotely using the HID from the iPod), most app that do that are wi-fi transmitted, since there's no need for a long, direct, connection. Examples are the Apple Remote, ADT Security, and OnStar. These all allow you to access your devices that are kept on your wireless signal (OnStar uses some sort of cell phone reception to put your car on a network).

  • How to use bluetooth ipod dock and external speakers together

    Hi
Is there anyway to make my speakers, conected to the headphone socket at the rear of my iMac, and a bluetooth Ipod dock play together.
I've bought a Bose dock with bluetooth thinking I could then have the radio or songs playing in two different rooms but I can't seem to find out how to make the computer play through the speakers and the bluetooth, I have to pick one or the other.
    It's on  OSX 10.6.7
Thanks for any help as this has really disappointed me

David, here's my interpretation of what you just posted:
iPod nano Dock enables quick connectivity if you have a desktop computer without an easily accessible USB 2.0 port. No more reaching behind the computer to plug it in — just place iPod nano in the dock and it’s ready to sync with iTunes and charge its battery. <<</div>
This means that the dock connection connects to the internal battery and allows you to transfer data (sync w/ iTunes).
And you can plug a stereo mini cable to its line-out port and enjoy a clean, direct connection to a stereo or powered speakers<<</div>
This means you can plug a stereo mini cable into the same port you use to plug in your headphones. The other end would go into your stereo or powered speakers. Which means no dock connection with line out audio!
I would not be able to use the nano with my Altec Lansing speakers or my Sik Imp (which is how I listen to my iPod mini in my Honda Element). So no nano for me!
Apple's marketing strategy is all too clear to me now. They didn't discontinue the mini, their best selling iPod, because that's what everyone is trying to copy. They discontinued it because they felt sales of the mini were cannibalizing sales of hte regular iPod. If you wanted something more compact than the iPod but wanted dock connectivity to all the various accessories, you bought a mini. Now you buy the nano for compactness AND the regular iPod to use with the accessories. So where one product satisfied two needs for the average user (not the afficianados that have iPod collections) Apple will now happily sell you two products.
To all those people who asked what the mini has that the nano doesn't, this looks like it: line out audio through the dock connection. A very important feature!

  • How to use bluetooth of a Satellite L750/l755 running Ubuntu 11.10

    Hi,
I've install on my Toshiba Ubuntu 11.10, but I can't use the Bluetooth.
In the web I've found that I had to install omnibook, but I'm not able to do this, can someone help me?
    Thanks!

    Hi again
I have tried 11.10 on a cousin of your model and BT works fine running Ubuntu in live mode.
    Did not install it though.
However since the unit I have here is not exactly the same as your model, I cannot guarantee the information is perfectly applicable to you.
You can check if you have same hardware as I do by opening a terminal and issuing the command
    lsusb -v | bDeviceProtocol
Make sure you type the small and big letters as I show.
This will list all your USB devices but filtering out much of the information.
Can You find anything saying bluetooth?
If so please look which place it has in the list.
My list shows me 7 red instances of bDeviceProtocol and the one with Bluetooth is the last one.
Remembering which number in the list you got type this
    lsusb
You will see a short list with some numbers and names of manufacturers.
Locate the line number which You got from above. They don't have number so you need to count them.
You will probably see something like:
Bus 002 Device 004: ID 0930:0214 Toshiba corp
That is your Bluetooth device ID.
Please provide it here so I can see if we are using the same devices.
    Next issue this command:
    lsmod |grep blue
You will see which modules are loaded that has anything to do with bluetooth.
    My unit tells me this
    bluetooth 148839 23 bnep, rfcomm,btusb
    toshiba_bluetooth 12711 0
Never mind the numbers, just tell me which modules you see.
    Cheers
    Tom

  • G505s how to use Bluetooth?

Hello, I am trying to connect my G505s to my Bose wireless speaker via Bluetooth.  I am not able to find anything relating to Bluetooth in my Device Manager and no Bluetooth drivers.  The Bluetooth symbol does not appear in my Windows Taskbar as I've seen it on other PCs.  I am running Windows 8.1.
Things I have done so far:
    -  I downloaded the Atheros,Broadcom driver for Windows 8.1 (8.0.1.306/12.0.0.7850) from the Lenovo website.  When I try to install it I am told that there are no valid drivers to be installed.
-I followed the help instructions from Windows which said to go into Settings > Change PC Settings > PC & Devices and ensure that Bluetooth is there.  Microsoft states that Bluetooth capable computers should have a Bluetooth settings page in here.  I don't have one.
    - From some reading online I came across instructions to run services.msc and change the Bluetooth settings in there.  I followed these instructions and didn't have any luck.  All of the Bluetooth listings in here state that Bluetooth is running.
    - Made sure that my computer setting to locate other devices is enabled.
I'm not really sure if this computer is Bluetooth ready or not.  If it isn't, I'm not sure why there are Bluetooth things "running" in services.msc though...
    Solved!

    hi s_hoek,
Yes the LiteOn Atheros should have the BT capability.
Please try Downloading these two (don't install yet)
         WLAN Driver (Atheros, Broadcom)
    and
         Bluetooth Driver (Atheros, Broadcom)
Then Open Device Manager and Uninstall the WLAN placing a check under Delete Driver Software for this Device
Then Install the WLAN driver Restart the system then install the Bluetooth Driver.
    Let me know your findings
    Cheers!

  • How can I use bluetooth on my Satellite C850-B906

Please help me. How can I use bluetooth on my C850-B906 Satellite. I can't find it on the search bottom and even in PC Device, bluetooth is not there. This laptop has bluetooth according to its specs. (Bluetooth / W-LAN (802.11B/G/N).
Any good answer will be highly appreciated.
    Thanks in advance!

    Hi
First of all: you are right: the Satellite C850-B906 supports Bluetooth
    http://www.toshibamea.com/CSPDF/Satellite_C850-B906-52424.pdf?ran=4qmi69d8z1
But the notebook was not preinstalled with an Windows system and therefore I guess you installed the Windows OS (which one?) at you own hand.
Probably you did not install the essential software / drivers which would allow you to use the BT
The Realtek WLan module supports BT and therefore you have to install the Bluetooth Filter Driver Package a well as the BT stack from Toshiba driver page.
After that you have to use the function key combination to enable the BT.

How can I use Bluetooth it does not detect others iPhone

The bluetooth functionality on the iPhone is limited. It's basically limited to audio devices (headsets, for instance), although certain apps allow greater functionality. Search the app store for "bluetooth share"
