HP Pavilion 17 Notebook PC 17-f253nc Windows 7 - unable to find drivers

Hello everyone,I have bought notebook "HP Pavilion 17 Notebook PC 17-f253nc". When I installed Windows 7 and turned on the notebook, I found out there are no drivers here, so I decided to look them up on HP webpage. But there are drivers for Windows 8.1 only. Would you be so kind and advise me where can I find them? (if they exist). Thank you, plejda

You're very welcome. Please do the following steps so I can confirm what model wireless card your notebook has... Go to the device manager, Other Devices category, and click on the device labeled Network Controller that needs the drivers. Then click on the Details tab at the top of the network controller window. Now you see a Property drop down list and it is defaulted to Device Description. Drop down on that and select the second item on the list (Hardware ID's). Post the top string of characters that begin with PCI\VEN. Then I will post the link to the driver you need.

  • HP Pavilion 17 Notebook PC 17-e046us Windows 7 Drivers for LAN

    Hello,
I just bought a HP Pavilion 17 Notebook PC 17-e046us
I've already installed Windows 7 64bit Professional (Win8 was the default)
Several of the components were registering with erors in Device Manager.
I was able to dig deeper into all the drivers that HP listed as 8 only, however the fine print said that most of them were compatable with Win7.
I'm still missing the following hardware IDs and would really like the help getting the Windows 7 64bit Professional drivers for the following :
    PCI\VEN_10EC&DEV_8136&SUBSYS_1971103C&REV_07
    PCI\VEN_10EC&DEV_8136&SUBSYS_1971103C
    PCI\VEN_10EC&DEV_8136&CC_020000
    PCI\VEN_10EC&DEV_8136&CC_0200
    Thanks,

  • HP Pavilion G7 notebook locks up after Windows 8.1 upgrade

Looking for some help & advice here.....
I upgraded my HP Pavilion G7 notebook from Windows to Windows 8.1......and now it appears to lock up after a while.
I have a Ralink RT3290 adapter and saw that may be a new driver will fix this problem but I'm not sure
    Other system info:
    Product # C2M35UAR#ABA
    System Board 1845 56.32
    System BIOS F.24
    Any help appreciated here.....
    Many Thanks!

    @cpal
I did some searching for you looking for any updated drivers that might work. The problem is that Ralink was bought out a few years ago, and many of the Ralink devices do not have Windows 8.1 drivers, even from them. Given the choice it would be better to use the HP versions if windows 8 versions are the only option because at least the driver would have been somewhat customized to be compatible with the normal set of hardware in a HP notebook.
Here are a few you can try that may help:
MediaTek(Ralink)802.11 b/g/n Wireless LAN (WLAN) Adapter
Ralink 802.11 b/g/n Wireless LAN Adapter Driver
Hopefully one of those will work for you, otherwise we can only look for MediaTek to make an updated driver for windows 8.1 in the future.
And if you are interested here is a blurb on Ralink  - wikipedia.org

  • Upon running Norton Security Suite Diagnostic Report on my HP Pavilion dv6 Notebook PC on a Windows 7 Home Premium platform, it shows 2 (hidden) devices not working: Antilog32, and AODDriver4.1--Code 24.

On the General tab for device status it says: "This device is not present, is not working properly, or does not have all its drivers installed. (Code 24)" The only option available when I click
on properties of both devices is Start. When I click on Start for Antilog32, this message shows: "The system encountered the following error when it attempted to start the service: The system cannot find the file specified." For AODDriver4.1, the
message when you click Start on Driver tab is: "The system encountered the following error when it attempted to start the service: The system cannot find the path specified." I do not know how to proceed or
how to fix this, or where to find a solution. Please help!

    Hello pds48478480,
Do you mean you got the error code 24 in Norton Security Suite Diagnostic Report?
Please share us a screenshot for better analyzation.
Please take a look at the following thread about the AODDriver4.3.
    http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows8_1-performance/the-aoddriver43-service-failed-to-start-due-to-the/cb6b7f03-922b-4b82-972f-e92ef9919964
AODDriver 4.3 is used by AMD OverDrive which tune parameters to help system stability, optimize performance, and control cooling/acoustic characteristics.
With the issue description it seems the driver and the service is either stopped or not working correctly.
Refer to the link below and install the latest version of AMD OverDrive.

This it the screen shot for device manager.

  • Windows XP unable to find any AirPort base stations

I am new to mac and have just got a macbook that is now connected to the internet wirelessly through an AirPort Extreme 802.11n base station. I am trying to get my old Gateway to connect as well and installed the AirPort Utility on it, but it will not find any base station. It is Windows XP version 2002 with service pack 2, and so I think I should be able to get this to work. Maybe it's a settings thing, but I've tried several things. Any suggestions?

Ok, it sounds like wireless security is NOT the issue. If you connect your PC directly, using an Ethernet cable, to one of the AEBSn's LAN ports...can you access the Internet now?

  • ATI 6750M and Bootcamp with Windows 7 - where to find drivers?

I have a 2011 MBP 15" with a ATI 6750M, where can I find Windows 7 drivers? I installed the Bootcamp drivers from the install DVD, but it looked like it actually installed nVidia drivers, not ATI. Help!

Actually Bootcamp does install the AMD drivers. Bootcamp will run the nVidia driver install, but it will see that you don't have an nVidia card installed and will close and continue on to other drivers. The AMD drivers install towards the end.
It worked just fine for me, but the drivers included are not the most up to date and they are the only drivers that will install for the 6750M. I tried installed the latest mobile drivers, but all it did was update the CCC and not the graphics driver.

    I GOT THE SOLUTION!!
This problem happens due a conflict between the Samsung's Software "NEW PC STUDIO" and the Apple Drivers!
The solution is unistall all Samsung's Software and removing all Apple Softwares as well (like iTunes, device drivers etc)
Then cleaning the Windows Register with some software like CCleaner AND manually using REGEDIT, just find for Samsung (carefully with other Samsung Devices like HardDrive. You musn't remove something like that) then, finding for New PC Studio.
Remove all Keys related Samsung New PC Studio.
Restart your PC and reinstall iTunes lastest version.
Now, you can put your iPhone in Recovery Mode that Windows will recognize it!

  • HP Connected Driver app for Windows 8 - unable to find it in Store????

In order to set up scanning on my pinter, I have to go to my printer installed software (which I can't find too).  However, in reading instructions, HP direct me to download the app instead, but its nowhere on Store.  anyone know whats happened to it and where can I find it??

    Hi Sunchild70,
Which printer model number do you have? I'll try to find more information for you about that app.
In the meantime, have you tried HP's Print and Scan doctor? It might be able to automatically fix that scanning issue for you

  • Windows was unable to find a certificate to log yo...

    Hello,
I have been getting the above error message from my network adapter on my laptop in the last couple of weeks, following years without it and more than a year connecting to my Home Hub 3.
Solutions on the internet suggest unticking the box that says “enable IEEE 802.1x authentication for this network”, but this was already unticked as the settings are WPA-PSK and AES.  So despite this box remaining unchecked, the error message keeps appearing - this is not a solution.  I have:
    > checked the Home Hub settings
    > pressed/re-set the Wireless button on the Home Hub
    > checked that DHCP on the Hub is assigning a proper IP address and the laptop is connecting to it OK
    > checked the network adapter wireless settings and configuration was correct by comparing with my Desktop PC that uses a wireless card (and has not got this error message)
    > switched Wireless off and back on again on the Network Adapter
    > disabled the network adapter and re-connected it
    > deleted the network adapter and re-installed it
    > uninstalled the network adapter driver and re-installed it
    > run System Restore
None of this has solved the problem.  (The network adapter is an Intel Pro 2200BG.  I’m running XP, but I don’t think that is anything to do with it, as my two Desktops, one ethernet and the other wireless, are fine.)
    Any ideas?  Most grateful.

  • HP Pavilion g6 Notebook PC - Video playback issues

    Hi,
The product I am using is HP Pavilion g6 Notebook PC and a Windows 8.1 operating system.
I am currently experiencing a problem with my laptop. Whenever I try and play a video no matter what website I am using one of two things happen. The video either buffers but does not play at all (no sound or video) for a minute or the video play for 7 second (with no sound) then freezes for about a minute and then plays the sound from the beginning and only starts playing the video when the sound catches up.
Note - when I try to play several vidoes as once they all start playing at the same time.
Your help would be greatly appreciated.

A few things to try ChrisM95. The first thing to check is the volume mixer from desktop mode. Right click on your volume icon in the system tray, and 'open volume mixer'. When you go to a site and play a video, you may get a new slider for that site. Make sure it is not muted, and the slider is up.
Here is Googles troubleshooting list for YouTube: No sound on videos
Here is the general no sound document. Don't discount it right away, go through the steps to make sure it is configured correctly: No Sound from Speakers (Windows 8)
I am not certain if you have the Recovery Manager, but if you do you might be able to restore the original IDT Audio drivers using this method: Using Recovery Manager to Restore Software and Drivers (Windows 8)

Hello peakay, welcome to the HP Forums.
It appears that you have no sound from the internal speakers on your notebook, that external ones work fine. I will try to help you with this.
I would recommend trying the steps in this document: No Sound from Speakers (Windows 8).
