  • Pavilion 23tm monitor doesn't respond to touch

I purchased a new HP Envy with windows 8.1.64 and a Pavilion 23tm monitor.  I have installed the drivers for the monitor but the monitor still will not respond to touch.  I went online and downloaded the drivers off the HP website just in case they were more up to date than what came with the monitor.  But it still is not working as a touchscreen like it's supposed to.  Any ideas?

  • Touch quit working on my Pavilion 23tm monitor

The touch on my Pavilion 23tm monitor just quit working.  What to do?

I've had my monitor touchscreen stop working three times now, sometimes for weeks.  All technical solutions and searches for information on how to resolve lead no where.  Once the screen just started working again after a few weeks. Some background first on the setup and environment.  My monitor is powerd up 7/24 and my win/8 machine is either on or sleeping 7/24 usually. After reading in this forum that someone just turned the monitor off and on and resloved their problem, I tried it and the touchscreen was working right away. I saw so many other people's posts on their HP Pavillion 23tm touchscreen monitor not working but without resolution. Just try using the power switch on the lower right edge of the monitor.  If this resolves your problem then it is very easy ans simple to resolve.

  • HP Pavilion 23tm 23-inch Diagonal Touch Monitor driver for windows 10

When I upgraded from Win 8.1 to Windows 10, the driver for this monitor was not migrated.  A generic driver was installed instead.  The generic driver does not support screensaver or sleep mode on this monitor.  Is there a new HP driver compatible with Windows 10?

Also now i have tried installing touchscreen driver of windows 8.1 in windows 10 i.e. replaced driver version 10.0.10240.16384 with driver version 06/21/2006, 6.3.9600.17041, Provider - Microsoft .. and if we look into device manager, 1 HP 23tm monitor installs all these things for touchscreen .. HUMAN INTERFACE DEVICES     1.  HID Compliant touch screen     2.  HID Compliant vector-defined devices     3.  HID Compliant Whiteboard     4.  Microsoft Input Configuration Device     5.  USB Input Device (x3)MICE AND OTHER POINTING DEVICE     1.  HID Compliant Mouse (x2) #Total=9 Since i have 2 monitors all these things are in multiple of 2 #Total=18 .. and i have replaced all the 18 drivers with that of windows 8.1 but still the same thing is hapening :-(

  • 23tm Monitor touch with Windows 7

Hi everyone, I have just purchased the noted monitor and would like someone to help me get it working with windows 7 touch capabilities.
I have tried to download and istall HP drivers but it hasn't been working, would anyone be able to provide a step by step guide with links? (I know it can't be that hard but I can't seem to get it)
    Thanks!

Please provide the brand and model number of the computer you are attempting to use the HP Pavilion 23tm 23-inch Diagonal Touch Monitor with. At minimum, you must have the two connected with a USB cable, and either an HDMI or DVI-D cable. Additionally, you may need use a 3.5mm audio cable for sound.
Also note that the driver package does not include a touchscreen driver. The HP 23tm monitor is Windows Plug and Play and does not need separate touchscreen driver installed for computers that are running Microsoft Windows 8 or Windows 7 operating systems.
Please make sure that the video (HDMI or DVI-D), USB, and audio cables are all connected to both the computer and monitor. Reboot the computer and verify that "Touch" is enabled in Windows. Try touching the screen... either sliding your finger across the screen or tapping an item on the screen.
    Report back with your findings.

  • External HP Pavilion 23xi monitor cuts off laptop audio

I want to use my HP Pavilion 23xi monitor as an external monitor for my laptop (Sony Vaio, Windows 7).  The laptop only has an HDMI connection, so I used an HDMI cable to connect it.  The HP monitor works fine, but when it is connected, it cuts off all audio output on the laptop.  There is no sound from the internal speaker on the laptop, or from the headphone connection.
If the HDMI connection automatically takes over the audio output, surely there should be at least a headphone socket on the PC?  I can't change the connection type, as the laptop only has HDMI for an external monitor.  Is there any configuration change that will fix this?
    This question was solved.

    Hi,
As you mentioned, the HDMI sound may take over sound, disable HDMI sound may help. Pleae try:
    Right click the speaker icon
    Select Playback devices
Right click HDMI sound and disable it

  • HP Pavilion external monitor has stopped working with my Macbook Pro (Mid 2012) with OSX 10.8.3

HP Pavilion external monitor has stopped working with my Macbook Pro (Mid 2012) with OSX 10.8.3.  When I purchased the monitor a few weeks ago it worked perfectly when computer was in clamshell mode or with lid open. Now external display has stopped working.  When I turn on display it scans for signal but does not find it and then immediately goes into sleep mode.  I am using a DVI connection with the adapter for the mini display plug.  REALLY FRUSTRATING. Any help would be extremely appreciated.

  • HP Pavilion 22xi monitor

This monitor is less than 2 years old and has just started having this problem:  It will be working fine and the power light is light blue.  Then I notice the power light starts to flash yellow and after a few minutes the light goes out completely.  The monitor continues to operate for a few minutes then it just goes completely black.  No image at all.  I have to unplug it and plug it back in again and it starts to work again.  It works for a while and then goes through the same thing.  It's not like it is going on stand-by because I am still using the computer when it goes black.  I am using an HDMI cable for the connection.

    Hello @slcphotos,
I understand that you are having issues with your HP Pavilion 22xi monitor going blank. I am providing you with some steps you can try below:
Step 1. Unplug the power cord from the back of the monitor and the wall
Step 2. Hold the power button down for at least one minute
Step 3. Plug the power cord back into the monitor and then into the wall outlet (not a power bar or surge protector)
Step 4. Press the Menu button on the monitor
Step 5. Navigate to the Factory Reset option and select it
Step 6. Try different cables between your computer and monitor.
If the above steps did not resolve your issue you can try the monitor on a computer or other device to see if the issue persists. Please call our technical support at 800-474-6836. • Pavilion 22bw monitor - problem with Windows 7

Hello all, I have lately been having a problem with my HP Pavilion Slimline Windows 7 PC recognizing my HP Pavilion 22bw monitor (purchased separately from the PC). This problem was, for a while, sporadically popping up after the computer/monitor went to sleep and "reawoke", but is now basically happening every time I reboot.
The basic problem is: The monitor display is always at a low resolution and is often weirdly offset to the right, and the desktop extends beyond the screen. The display settings under Windows (Windows 7 Home Premium,  6.1.7601 Service Pack) only recognize the monitor as "Generic Non P&P Monitor". This is new and concurrent with the problem, as I have used this monitor and its HP driver with no issues for months.
I have tried re-installing the display drivers, fiddling with the power management settings, and plugging/unplugging the monitor, all to no avail. I tried manually setting resolution through the software and the display hardware as well.
Any ideas? Could it be a conflict with the graphic driver (onboard Intel)?
The strange thing is this started happening with no other computer changes, like new hardware/software, occurring, to my memory.
Thanks much to any who might have some insight.
    tcoreyb

    Hi tcoreyb,
What version of Win 7 (32 bit or 64 bit) and what is the product number of your Slimline PC?
Try setting the monitor back to factory settings using the monitor's On Screen Display. If the symptom persists, then navigate to Control Panel - Device Manager - Monitors and uninstall the current monitor display driver.
Reboot your system. If the symptom persists, try installing the HP monitor display driver and utility tools found here  if your operating system, (OS), is 64 bit or here  if your OS is 32 bit.
If this does not correct, then try reinstalling your Slimline, factory installed, Intel graphics driver via HP's  Recovery Manager driver reinstallation instructions.
Can you test the monitor on a different computer? That may help to isolate the problem to either the monitor or a graphics driver problem.
    Jaco

  • HP Pavilion 25bw monitor has narcolepsy

I have a HP Pavilion 25 bw montor that I use with a Thinkpad laptop.  I shut both down at the end of each day.  This morning the monitor won't turn on.  When I turn it on it automatically goes to sleep.

  • HP Pavilion 27xi Monitor: Display problem Mac Mini running Yosmite

Image quality is very poor for Mac Mini running Yosmite connected via HDMI.
Adjusting overscan helps scaling, but pixelation and poor image quality is not changed (very blurry)
Using VGA/mini display route with same devices, image quality if far better showing that somehow mini conncected to HP monitor via HDMI could be improved via driver update.
Is there a driver update for Yosmite?
Only drivers found were for Windows:

    Hello @adsben,
I understand that the image quality for your HP monitor is poor when connected to your Mac Mini, and I would be happy to assist you in this matter!
According to this document on using HP Monitors on a Mac:
"HP monitors are not supported in a Mac environment. However, newer Macs use graphics with VESA modes and can display to most HP LCD monitors. To do this, connect the monitor to the Mac while the Mac is off, and then turn on the MAC. The monitor should operate at 60Hz. The INF and software for the HP monitor are for Microsoft Windows and cannot be run in a standard MAC OS environment."
    I hope this helps!
