HP Pavilion All-in-one touch 23-h027c

I purchased this computer 2 months ago.  Within the first week my touch screen stopped working and the HP tech ran diagnostics only to tell me I had to reformat/reinstall/recover windows.  Now it's happened again and I use it for work.  I don't want to reinstall, but I'm not even sure if it's for the same reason.  I did go in and disable the screen and then enbale to use it and that didn't work either.  I have restarted the computer.  I need HELP!  pretty please
Any suggestions?  Thank you in advance for any help you are willing to give this frustrated user!

I would be happy to assist you, but first I would encourage you to post which operating system you are using. And whether your operating system is 32-bit or 64-bit as with this I can provide you with accurate information.
Which Windows operating system am I running?
Is the Windows Version on My Computer 32-bit or 64-bit?
If you know how you can use the Windows System Restore to restore your computer back to a couple days ago when it worked correctly and see if that works.
If you do not know how please re-post with the requested information and I would be happy to provide you with assistance. Thank you for posting on the HP Forums. Have a great day!

I would certainly recommend that you do so. • New hard disk for HP Pavilion All-in-One MS228sc

I need to get af new hard disk drive for my HP Pavilion All-in-One MS228sc. I have great difficulties in getting in touch with HP denmark since my product is out of waranty.
My questions is if the PC can handle a disk larger than my current on on 500 GB. Further more I am not sure about other potential limits the PC could have ini regards to speed and other parameters on a new disk drive
    This question was solved.
    View Solution.

As your computer is out of warranty, please purchase a 500GB - 2TB 3.5" SATA2 or 3 hard drive from an online or local retailer. If the new drive is an AF (Advanced Format) drive, you may have issues using the HP Recovery Media you created or purchased.
If this is the case and you can still read the 25-digit Windows product key on the Microsoft COA affixed to your computer, you can install Windows 7 using this key. Please see "How to Install Windows 7 Without the Disc" for instructions on how to download Windows 7, create the installation media, and install Windows 7 using the 25-digit product key from the Microsoft COA on your computer. This method will not install any HP customizations or value-added software and you will have to manually install all needed drivers.
Links to Windows 7 SP1 can be found HERE and HERE. (Download the Windows 7)
Direct link to Windows 7 USB/DVD Download tool. (Use to create the media from the ISO)

  • HP Pavilion All in One Not Detecting External Monitor

Hello I have an HP Pavilion All in one 23-g010 running windows 8
I purchased a VGA to USB adapter so that I could connect my external HP 2009m monitor and it worked just fine. I had to reset my computer and I used System Image Recovery everything else works fine except now when I plug in the adapter and click on Share it says " Nothing Can be Shared From this Desktop" When I look under Screen resolution it just says Generic Non-PnP Monitor and wont allow me to select anything else.  I tried downloading drivers but it just says my computer doesnt meet not meet the minimum system requirements to install the driver. I am at a loss as to what to do, I work at home and dual monitors is a must.
    Thank you for any help

Did you create the "Windows System Image" before you purchased the USB-to-video adapter??? After preforming the System Image Recovery, did you install the drivers for the USB-to-video adapter??? The drivers for the adapter should have been included with the adapter or are available on a 3rd party website.

  • Can you use Dual Monitors on an HP Pavilion "All-In-One" Desktop?

    Hello,
Just seeing the words "dual monitors" on the forum makes me realize I have several extra flatscreen monitors sitting around and I always loved them at work. I have an HP Pavilion All-In-One Desktop and is it possible to run dual monitors on an All-In-One desktop and what would I need in the way of accessories (cables, etc.) to be able to do that, if it's possible? Thanks in advance for any help!

    Hi,
What is your AIO computer ? Many AIO computers do not have video out ports. You can use something like:

  • Fan always running on my HP Pavilion All-in-One 200-5000 (model #2MD0400F1W)

The fan on my HP Pavilion All-in-One 200-5000 (model #2MD0400F1W) seems to be always running (and it's not quiet). I believe I'm running the latest BIOS and I've already checked to make sure the air vents are clear. I'm not running any memory or processor intensive applications. Any suggestions how to reduce how long and frequently the fan seems to be running? Thanks.

  • Maximum RAM for HP Pavilion All-in-One MS228sc

Since my HP Pavilion All-in-One MS228sc is getting increasingly slow - even after releasing space on the hard-drive I am researching on the possibility for a RAM upgrade.
The Pavillion ins "born" with 2 GB RAM in the slots and 2 GB virtual RAM.
My question if I can subsitute the one or both the RAM blocks with 2GB block. In that way I will get 3 or 4 Physical RAM instead of 2.
I assume that will increase the performance a great deal

  • My HP Pavilion All-in-One often shuts down during PC games.

My HP Pavilion All-in-One is just a year old. It shuts down more and more frequently with PC games like Age of Empires and Age of Titans, and the online game Wizards 101. Can anyone tell me why and what I can do about it? The games were not from original disks and I don't know if that has anything to do with it. Thanks

    Linda, welcome to the forum.
It sounds like a heat problem to me.  Most laptops and All-in-ones are frankly not meant for gaming.  Also, you could try installing any patches that are available for the games.  This could be part of the problem if not the heat.

  • Hp pavilion all-in-one green screen problems

I purchased a brand new 23 inch HP pavilion all-in-one, set it up and used it for 3 or 4 days but kept getting GREEN SCREENS on face book videos and other websites...had to reboot constantly to correct the problem but after a few hours it returns. I phoned the store & they said it was a defective computer, so I packed it all up & returned it to the store & got the EXACT SAME COMPUTER & now I'm having the identical problem, so I phoned HP & a technician did some minor changes, rebooted it thru remote access and said 'there all fixed' but later that day the problem returned AGAIN. I heard this issue is due to INCOMPATIBILITY BETWEEN FLASH & WINDOWS 7/8, so either windows needs to fix it...or HP needs to fix it...PLEASE HELP YOUR CUSTOMERS so we don't have to reboot constantly!

    Hello again @Nordic4U,
Actually if you restart and the problem goes away temporarily then I suspect that you have a 3rd party application making a change that is causing this issue. I am providing you with an HP Support document: Using Microsoft System Configuration (Windows 8), which will walk you through disabling all non-Microsoft Services and your Startup Items. If the problem goes away at this point then we know you have a 3rd party application causing your issue.
Now you need to narrow it down till you find the problem. You can do this by enabling 50% of the Services and see if the issue is still fixed. If it is you know it is not one of them and you can continue enabling the Services and Startup Itmes until you indentify what is causing your issue.
Please re-post if you require additional support. Thank you for posting on the HP Forums. Have a great day!

  • Why won't my hp pavilion all in one not play dvds or games?(It does play a game from 2000.)

Product Name: Hp Pavilion all in one I don't know the product number.
    Operating System: Windows 7 64-bit
It says insert disc each time
    No upgrades before the issue

    Hi,
The following procedure will test if your PC can start from a bootable disc in the CD/DVD drive - the advantage of trying this is that it will rule out any possible Windows driver error as the CD/DVD drive is under the control of the Bios when starting the PC.  So if you find that the PC will not boot from the CD or DVD, then it's almost certainly a Hardware fault in the optical drive itself and it will need to be replaced.
Using another PC to create a Windows 7 Rescue CD and DVD.  Download the ISO from the link below.
    Windows 7 64bit
You need use an application such as ImgBurn to correctly burn the ISO to a CD and then also burn it to a DVD - a guide on using ImgBurn to write an ISO to a disc is Here.  Once created, insert the CD and then restart the PC and see if it boots from this disc - if it does, let the first screen come up ( this will show repair options etc ) then just remove the CD, insert the DVD and restart the PC again to see if it will also boot from this disc.  If the PC will not boot from the CD, it may just load straight into Windows, in which case, just remove the CD, insert the DVD and restart to see if it will boot from this disc.
    Let me know.

  • Bioshd-8 on pavilion all-in-one

Hi!  This has not been my week.  My HP Pavilion All-in-One PC kept on freezing and crashing on me lately.  I ran the F9 diagnostic and the hard drive test failed. My HD is a WDC WD6400AAKS 65A7B2 (WD-WCASYC373484). The error code came up with BIOHD-8 and Error:  A Smart test failed on the drive.
My PC still boots up, internet works, and other programs seem to work except for a few.  I recently added an HP F4100 printer on it, it prints, but when I went to the printing preferences and clicked on the "services" tab, it froze and had to shut it down.  It rebooted fine but keeps on freezing when I click on that tab as well as in the run backup under the HP support Dashboard.  I removed the printer and added it again--same problem.  I also added a Seagate external drive and it wouldn't do a windows backup (failed).  It does do my backup to the external drive from my backup schedule set up on Norton 360.
Is the HP support the problem here (have not uninstalled it)?  Or is my HD failing?  When I first got this computer, I had the same problem but it was within the warranty period and HP replaced the hard drive.  I've had this desktop for over a year since HP replaced the original HD.  Is there anyway to repair this error?  Like doing a system recovery?  I made recovery discs for this computer.  Would that fix the problem or would it come back again?
If I buy a new hard drive, will I encounter the same problem?  Is it a motherboard problem or a hard drive problem?  Some of the comments I have read suggest either a HD or motherboard problem.  Please help.  Thanks in advance.  This is the only computer I have left as my laptop crashed earlier, hence I started using this desktop.  (Footnote:  the laptop was also an HP Pavilion entertainment laptop dv model-but that's another story).

Your hard drive is dying, replace it.
This is a common problem in PCs, not just HP.
