Hp pavilion dv1411se... recovery? please help

I was recently given a hp pavilion dv1411se laptop. I want to recovery it back to factory settings and remove the previous owners files. I have tried several different suggestions. Nothing seems to be working. Does anyone have any ideas? Suggestions? Please

If tapping the F11 key at the beginning of the HP welcome screen doesn't launch the recovery manager program and/or you can't reset the notebook, then your only alternative is to order a set of recovery disks to restore the notebook to its factory settings.
You can call HP and ask if they still have recovery disks for that old of a notebook. I doubt they will.
However, you can still get a set from this vendor at the link below.

Recovery, Please Help

Hi Guys.
I bought a Pavilion DV4 laptop (win 7 HP) and created recovery discs (as you know, we can just do this once!!!), they were 4 discs, but now when I want to recover my laptop, it says insert disc 5 during the process!!! and there isn't any disc 5.
Please help me, I also asked another person who bought exactly the same model but he also told me that he has only 4 recovery discs.

this looks like file read error from the disc. if you do not have the media you need to get one from hp.com linke here.

Bricked Pavilion Dv6 3153, please help! and conclusion

Hey all!
I need some help with a BIOS I have that I flashed the BIOS to a newer version. I flashed the BIOS using the correct file and the update was sucessfull. Somehow, after I rebooted, it will no longer post. I tried to create a bootable pendrive for bios recovery with the correct batch file and a copy of the bios file, I tried to use HP BIOS Update UEFI saved in a pendrive and a pendrive with dos system startup but it didnt seem to work.
My laptop is a HP Pavillion DV6 3153ss an the BIOS file is a Insyde F.23, the filename packaged in the HP site is sp50942.exe and the BIOS file is 01448F23.bin. After thousand attempts and a lot of reading, I concluded that I need the signed file, but I dont have because I deleted the HD recovery partition, and also i cannot acces to HD because my laptop is bricked.
I have read that some people have managed to recover BIOS with a .sig file from another laptop with the same BIOS file, and i think that this is the last chance for my computer, please someone could send me your .sig file!!!, the file named 01448.sig and is in the HP recover partition. Thanks advance, and sorry for my bad English, I'm Spanish.

Iphone 4 Stuck in Recovery, Please help

Hey guys, I keep trying to restore my iphone 4 but it never completes, it just keeps flashing up:
the iphone "iphone" could not be restored. An unknown error occurred (9).
And i cannot get out of recovery mode now!
Please help i don't know how i can get out of it, I have made a genius bar appointment but the first available time is Sunday
I have tried all sorts of things, putting it into dfu mode, general recovery mode, uninstalled itunes, reinstalled itunes, tried it on my mac and pc.
Everything i can think of but it just wont start

Ok lets try this on your Mac:
Find and delete any and all .ipsw files on your Mac, there should only be one, but delete ALL that you find. It should be located here:
~/Library/iTunes/iPhone Software Updates
Once that's done, reboot your Mac & launch itunes then, see if you can force the phone into recovery mode, reset first as I described earlier:
Turn your phone off(if you can), if not try to reset: Press the sleep/wake button & home button at the same time, keep pressing until you see the Apple logo, then release. Then, leave the USB cable connected to your computer, but NOT your phone, itunes running, press & hold the home button while connecting the USB cable to your dock connector, continue holding the home button until you see “Connect to iTunes” on the screen. You may now release the home button. iTunes should now display that it has detected your phone in recovery mode, if not quit and reopen iTunes. If you still don’t see the recovery message repeat these steps again. iTunes will give you the option to restore from a backup or set up as new. In your case, select "new".

Having problems now, changed battery inside of comp (coz error 601)
Opened the laptop and now it says cmos invalid... well pressed enter and everything seems to be fine. Well tryed to logg in and now i only see black screen with mouse... like what the he.... Well now I am logged on safe mode and my HP is useless now ( can't play, hardly can even surf on net) PLEASE HELP ME!! Ok,so I by passed the problem by putting the screen down same time while logging in, then putting back up and back down couple times, shutted down the comp and now seems like it working again..

"Unknown User" account recovery, Please help

Inadvertently i have been deleted an "unknown user" from the (System Properties-->User Profiles) this mistake deleted my "Desktop" and "My Document" files and other settings.
How can i resolve this problem or recover my files, i tried to use (System Restore) tool, but there is "uncompleted restore" message after computer restart.
Please tell me what to do, it's a critical problem for me :(

Ipod recovery please help!!!

I recently had to have my laptop wiped and subsequently lost all my itunes library. I did have all my music saved on my ipod though but ust as i have got round to getting the music from the ipod to my new itunes it is now saying my ipod is in recover mode and needs restoring! If i do this all my music and everything else is lost forever! please say there is a way to get my music from my ipod still.....

Some of the methods rely on a consistent library on the device which, since it is in recovery mode, it probably hasn't got. The manual method should still work.

Panasonic P2 Footage Recovery - Please Help :(

A horrible accident happened on set after we captured some amazing footage. All our P2 cards were imported onto a P2 Store Portable Hard drive and then transfered onto a Western Digital removable hard drive. The Western Digital hard drive was then plugged into Final Cut Pro 5.1 and using the P2 import window, the user highlighted all the clips except 1 and hit delete (thinking this would remove them from the import window to transfer one at a time). No warniing came up and then they discovered all the P2 footage had been deleted from the hard drive. The P2 Store was reformated before this happened.
We have left the Western Digital hard drive alone and have tried running various recovery programs: data resque & file salvage & Media Recover. We were told not to use Tech Tools because it may delete the files (this was told by an IT tech guy at Tech Tools, so that scares us enough). The next program on our list was to try Stellar (this already did see the files but so far it won't recover them).....
Any tips to help recover would be greatly appreciated. This is on a Mac formated hard drive Final Cut 5.1.

I'm not sure if this is the same product you mentioned...but I've had luck to recover deleted files once with Data Rescue II.

Files deleted, trash emptied, and other data had been written. But, this was able to pull back some trashed image sequences. With the P2 footage, you're probably dealing with much more material...but if you haven't tried this version, it's worth a shot.

Keyboard problems [hp pavilion g6 2305sq] PLEASE HELP!

Hi, I have a hp pavilion g6 2305sq and I have a problem with the keyboard.
Each time I press the left arrow key it goes to the left by one position and writes a 0 and when I press the right arrow key it goes to the right by one position(which is what it must to do) and writes a 4.
How do I solve this problem and escape of this numbers to be printed?

Details that maybe could help are these: few days ago I used cleaning solution for windows/glass on the keyboard, I think that some drops entered under the keys, because the next morning the keys (0 p l . didn't worked anymore. So, I've used a hair dryer on them. After that, the keys worked again. I didn't use the dryer on the arroy keys, just on the keys that didn't worked. I wonder if some wires inside the laptop had melted and connected with others, in this case an arrow key with 0 and the other arrow with 4.

Sound issues with a Pavilion dv7 laptop, please help!

I have the Pavilion dv7 laptop and LOVE IT! It's a great machine and has amazing features, especially some quality sound, when it works. I'm looking for some help with this problem. I can fire it up and have sound. And then the sound will cut our and when I go down to the volume and open up the sound properties, my speakers are missing and it says it's using an HP dock, which I don't even have. Sometimes, it will say that it's using headphones. But the option for my speakers does not show up.
I can reboot and sometimes that will help and it will fire back up with sound, sometimes not. I'm looking for suggestions on what to do to keep my sound from going out.

Likely the AC power jack has gone bad and needs to be replaced. Not sure why or how it can work if you remove ACPI support but the jack does have a pin that carries data to the motherboard and I suspect yours is bad. This is the part and what it looks like. It is a middle-difficulty replacement, at worst.

Pavillion DV6 2020sa bios corrupt, wont take recovery. please help.

hi, thanks to anyone that has any input on this problem its much appriciated,
I am looking at my brothers laptop, pavillion DV6 2020sa he had a virus lock the screen, he held the power button to switch it off, upon reboot he gets the blank screen and flashing leds (2 flashes) upon lookin up it says bios corrupt, i have downloaded the bios from HP tis 3635.bin and have put in on a USB drive, the sticker under the battery also says 3635, so im confident i have the right one.
I then hold the win + B button and then power, it starts, and shortly after the USB stick light up and flashes, then stops, then flashes again, at that point i get 6 beeps, then silence, then i get 5 slow beeps, i have read this is meant to happen, but then its meant to resart, and this is the bit that dont happen, it dont do anything, when i restart it, it just does the same flashing lights.
am i doing something wrong, or something im missing.

You will need an eeprom programmer to reprogram a new BIOS chip with a fresh BIOS file. It takes a special hot air tool to successsfully remove and replace a notebook BIOS chip. This is not just normal soldering. This is what real electronics technicians and workers at an electronics R&D lab and workers on the assembly line at manufacturer do. Unless you just happen to be an electronics enthusiast or engineer, and I am guessing you are not since you asked these questions, this may be out of your league. If you feel adventurous and have your brother's permission to use his notebook as a guinea pig...go for it! It is not as easy as the guy in the video made it look. He is a trained technician and does it for a living.

Nokia 6300 - Data Recovery - Please Help !!!

I had been using the Nokia 6300 for the past 10 months and had encounter no problem at all. But do not know why, suddenly 2 days ago, the phone just suddenly freezed. I tried to turn off and turn on the phone, but I just can't enter into the menu. when the phone is turn on, only see the 'Nokia' wording, then the whole screen is just white and can only see the battery logo. It can't be turn off, need to remove the battery. I haven't back-up my contacts and smses yet, when this happen. Would like to know if anyone can help. I am really desperate now. All the contacts and smses are very important. Is there any way or method, that I can use, so that I can save the datas?

If the phone won't start up, all you can do is take it to a service centre for repair. If your phone is under warranty, then damage caused by something going wrong in software updater is covered as a free repair.

Time Machine Recovery - PLEASE HELP

I searched to find something close enought to solve my problem but was unable so I aplogize if this has occured before.
Last night I backed up my hard drive in preperation to erase my computer in order to partition it for boot camp and was running 10.6.xx. When trying to then recover my time machine data, it kept failing to boot afterwards and kept showing the grey screen with the power logo. The only system disk I have with me here (Iraq) is the one that came with my computer which is 10.5.xx.My 10.6 disk is at home and I have no way to get it here. I would have it mailed, but I won't get it before I demobolize.
So, what I need to know is of anyways to recover a Time Machine backup that is 10.6 with a 10.5 system disk.

No, sorry, you must have a Snow Leopard disc (a borrowed disc will work, and not violate the license, but a Leopard disc just won't work).

OSX recovery PLEASE HELP

My OSX Mavericks recovery wont work, I need it to fully repair my disk and install windows to my computer.

The recovery doesnt work, i need it to repair the hard drive so i can create a partition and install windows. (I always get an error message and i read that this wil work).
