Hi, i have HP Pavilion dv6-6b53er notebook pc
Windows Home basic 64-Bit Service Pack 1
I have no sound in the speakers, but with headphones it is ...
the Problem is that when I launch any game sound in the headphones disappears At the Skype sound is there, but there can be customized playback device no headphones there is no sound at all, i.e. the speakers do not work, but recently I tried to install the factory default BIOS settings, published dynamics distinctive squeak ... tried to install a new driver, enable / disable playback device, used HP Recovery Manager, all to no avail = (

I am sorry you still have the issue with your sound on your HP Pavilion dv6-6b53er Notebook pc. I am going to provide you with a few steps to try. What we are going to do is reload the original drivers that came with your computer to see if we can resolve this issue with your sound. I would like you to follow the steps outlined below.

The audio does not play back from the speakers of my laptop, it plays only through headphones ?

1) Try a Hard Reset as follows.
Remove any devices connected to the notebook. Shut down the notebook, unplug the AC Adapter and then remove the battery. Hold down the Power button for 30 seconds. Re-insert the battery, plug in the AC Adapter and start the notebook - check if the speakers are now working.
2) Please First check if the speaker icon on the unit is not muted.
3) Go to device manager and uninstall the Sound driver and restart and unit will install the driver automatically.
4) Try doing System restore to the date when the unit was working fine.
5) Try to update the driver from hp.com website for Audio & Bios.

Pavilion dv6-2120 - Digital Audio Output

Does someone know if the dv6-2120 support digital audio (spdif) via the 3.5mm socket?
If not does anyone know a simple solution to get optical audio from the notebook to my receiver?

Redirecting audio from the mini box to the TB display

I just installed the TB display update (12 Dec 2011). On completion I'm prompted to select a connectivity. Not understanding the ramifications, I select connection to the mini. I now get the audio from the mini and not the TB display. A big comedown.
The question is how to redirect the audio to the TB displays speakers rather than the mini and its tiny speakers.

Problem: Audio from the video plays, but video does not show.

I used the following code to play the video. The audio from the video plays displaying the player but there is no visual.
There is no problem with the video as I have tried several other videos with .mpg and .mov extensions.

If you double-click on the soundtrack you can open it up in the inspector tab and lower the soundtrack so that you can hear the audio from the video clip.

No Audio from Internal Speakers after a fresh install of Windows 7 Pro

T400S - after a fresh install of Windows 7, theres no audio from the Internal speakers. When I plug an external speakers there's audio. I also install the audio drivers from the Lenovo site. Thanks

No audio from internal speakers

My Macbook will not play audio from the internal speakers. It will, however, play through a set of headphones or external speakers. I have tried going to the preferences, but all it shows in the "sounds" area is digital out and there are no controls. I have also tried starting in safe mode and then rebooting, and still no sound from the internal speakers. Any thoughts?

Normally when the digital audio has been switched on there is a red light coming from the headphone jack. You could still see if clicking the switch works but with no light there may be a different problem involved and you may need to talk to Apple support.
Try resetting the SMC (System Management Controller) and/or PRAM (Parameter Random Access Memory). Mac OS X: What's stored in PRAM?
If this doesn't help call Apple or go by a store for help

No audio from internal speakers until headphones plugged in

This is for a Hp dv 6 with beats audio.I have no audio from the internal speakers until i plug the headphones in , when I get sound from both the internal speakers and the headphones.
I did find some people had the same issue which was resolved after changes in the realtek HD audio controller but I cannot find the audio controller on my laptop , which I am sure is different from the realtek audio drivers
I have already uninstalled and reinstalled the audio drivers without any success.

Popping noise from the speakers.

Today is the first time I've noticed it but also the first time I've used the machine in a truely quiet enviroment. After turning it on I hear slight popping sounds come from the speakers. Mostly the left speaker but a few times the right. Keep in mind there is NO audio playing while it does this.
Maybe its a heat up issue of some sort because while I logged in and typed this it seems to have stopped.
Anyone else have this happen?

I have had my MacBook Pro for 3 months now without any negatice issues of any sort. This is the best, most incredable machine I have ever owned. The other day, after installing a bunch of Widgets, .Mac Podcast pack for Garage Band, and other downloads such as custom icon sets and backgrounds, I noticed that a popping sound began to be emitted out of the left side of my MBP. This sound occurs aproxiamtly ever 20 to 30 seconds. I have rebooted, shut down and restarted, and cleared the cache, etc. many times in the last 3 days with no success at quieting the popping sound.
The only thing that changed on my end was the first time use of Garage Band, and the before mentioned added software to my MBP. Does anyone else who has this problem use that software or modifications?
Is it possible that it is simply a software malfunction causing the sound to be emitted?
Again, after 3 full months my usage patterns have not changed except for this added software/downloads, so I am assuming that since they occurred symotaniously that they are correlated. I hope this is helpful to anyone, end user or Apple themselves.

okay, try option-clicking on the speaker icon on the top of your screen. That should bring up a list of sound output options. including headphone. You could try messing around with Audio MIDI. It may be possible that the thing is still stuck inside the headphone jack. Careful use of a toothpick may get it unstuck. I dunno, I've never had a problem with the headphone jack. If all else fails, call Apple or take 'er in for an appointment

Phone makes "morse code" sound when in use, not all the time but quite frequently. The sound does not come from the speakers, infact it comes from the comments inside the phone.

When in use my phone makes a quiet buzzing noise coming not from the speakers but the actual phone. It does not do it all the time but it is quite frequent, my phone is an iPhone 5. Please can you tell me what the problem is?

I am having the same problem. I have just tried this. Unplug iphone > open itunes > delete all music from itunes library > close itunes > re-open itunes > add music from original folder > plug in iphone > select songs > press sync > unplug iphone using eject button onscreen > checked phone .... still nothing in music folder on phone. On itunes the "On this iphone" tab the songs remain there but greyed out.
