Try downloading the HP Support Assistant and running it. It should be able to detect any missing drivers for you.

Need 64-bit software and drivers

Can someone please help me locate the software and drivers for my printer. The CD that came with the printer does not have drivers for Windows 7 64-bit operating system.

The system requirements for this printer also specify only these Windows Operating Systems: Microsoft (R) Windows 95, 98, Me, NT 4.0, 2000 Professional, XP. You might be able to use the Windows XP driver in compatibility mode. Software and drivers package will only unpack but not install.
When the unpacking bar reaches the end, it disapears without any following actions.
I have of course tried it over again many times, and I have deleted the download and redownloaded it again but the same happens every time.
Any idea on how to solve this?

You can purchase recovery disks from HP. Here is a webpage showing you how to do that:

If HP no longer supplies your specific recovery disk, you can usually find one from a 3rd party site, such as www.restoredisks.com for between $20 and $30.

I'm in the same boat. (but have the Platinum 2 EX) I switched computers and can't find my driver installation disk.
I thought I figured out which was the correct one on the site, but when I attempted to install the latest drivers from the board, it said that is couldn't find the hardware or software necessary... something like that.
For what it's worth, the 2nd to last driver updates did seem to install without problems though; so, you may want to try that one.
At the moment, I'm only getting sound from my front 2 speakers, but this may be because I need the additional Creative software to get the CMSS working and adjust the surround balance.
Has anyone received the message I mentioned when trying to install the latest drivers?

I thought that I had posted the following question but as I can't find it I will try again. I have been given a HP Scanjet 5590 scanner with no Software or Drivers for 64 bit Windows 7 computer and looking through the Web I saw some awful comments on the experiences of those using the software and drivers. I don’t want to make the same mistake so could anyone tell me how to go about obtain the correct software and drivers?

Here is the link for the software...
If you have the "p" model, backtrack a the link and reselect the proper model.
You want the "Full Feature" software.
Note that the download size is 315MB - plan accordingly if you have a slow connection...
While you are there, be sure to download the Print Doctor utiltity. (Do that first, it is tiny.) This may help later with installation and connection issues, if needed.)

The HP Deskjet F4440 is part of the F4400 Series, this is the correct driver for your printer.

which resolution are you using when you use your monitor? Is that resolution supported through the monitor’s VGA port? (You’d probably have better throughput by using an adapter for the HDMI port or DVI port instead.) When you say that the trackpad doesn’t work, does that mean that the cursor is not visible on the monitor, or that it physically does not work, such that clicks are not registered, &c.?

Hp pavilion dv6-2150us system variables - drivers, etc,

I did a windows easy transer, of files from an old Acer amd 32x system to my Pavilion. Not sure how this happened, but when i did a reboot my drivers, system variables and a number of programs got their setup, load instructions all crossed with data from both systems. I tried doing system restore to last date before this occured. Did not fix. Right now I am showing an AMD 64 Architecture. I now show 2 sets of IE 32 & 64, a number of my programs will not run. Is there anyway to fix without having to do a complete factory reset? I do not want to have to complete a full setup all over again. Thanks

Sorry, am unable to accept your answer. I have gone into my system and did the drudgery of digging out all the bad keys from registry. It is not perfectly fixed yet, but better than having to reset to factory settings. Thanks for the answer I knew not to be true. But, I am not a programmer just a hobiest. BrianMrstenter wrote:
