Help!
,Help? Help?

Your report shows no TPM or problem with TPM.
The TPM is located on the mainboard and is also used to
verify hardware in the system. Thus your DVD drive and wireless
not showing up.
The TPM is TRUSTED PLATFORM MODULE.
Regardless, it is not replaceable, part of the mainboard.
Unfortunatly, sounds like there is no real fix.
Sometimes a bad CPU fan will cause this warning, bad TPM,  to be displayed.

Hi chesterday, and a warm welcome to the forums!
You must repair the HD, your best bet is DiskWarrior from Alsoft...
    http://www.alsoft.com/DiskWarrior/
    You'll need the CD though.
Unfortunately, Disk Utility can't fix all that much, and the only other Apple Options are erasing the HD, or installing OSX to a second drive, then using Migration Assistant to move stuff over to the new HD.

  • How to turn on and shut down Xserve RAID when G5 starts

    Hello,
Finally i Put my Xsevre RAID in the Aiino ClusterMaster 12U
connected with the G5 via the two fibre channel and one ethernet to control start up and shut down.
Since I don't leave the machine always on when not on schedule, everytime I Start the G5 I have to launch RAID Admin, erase the system, add a new one, enter monitoring password (that switched back to factory default), and start the Xserve (and I have to enter management password).
Is there a Script or something like that that runs automatically when I start the G5 and when i switch it off, so I don't have to do all these steps everytime including unmouting the Xserve prior to shutting It down?
    thank you in advance

my hp pavilion dv1000 (1615ts) has an overheating problem and shuts down suddenly.  please help..

with that age of laptop we immediately suspect an issue with dust clogging the exhaust fan or the thermal compound between the heatsink and fan breaking down and needing to be replaced. The laptop needs to be opened and inspected in other words.

  • HP Pavilion G4 won't boot

My HP Pavilion G4 won't boot. It starts up, goes to the HP logo screen then blacks out and the process is repeated endlessly. When I press the ESC butto. To access the device info, boot options, etc., it does not shutdown or turns off/on abruptly.
When I first opened it, it says something about a thermal error (overheated maybe) but that was already hours before my sister last used it. She says everything was fine and she was able to shut it down properly. I don't know if it's important but we're using it without a battery for 1-2 years now.
What could be the problem here? I hope it's just a software issue and not a hardware one. Praying that there's a fix where I won't lose a single file.

    Hi @VIPN
Welcome to the HP Support Community! I see that you are having a problem getting your notebook to boot to Windows. I will be happy to help. When it goes to the black screen do you get a flashing cursor at all on the screen?
Try booting up in Safe Mode to see if that works. If you got the thermal error I would suggest trying the HP document Reducing Heat Inside the PC to Prevent Overheating, it will have you cleaning the fan using compressed air.

  • Laptop won't boot caps light and Num light blink

My Ts2-1375dx won't boot after I have shut it off and turned it back on. I get the cap & num lock lights blinking once. I remove the powercord, battery and all attached peripherals, hold the on button for 30 seconds reconnect the power and try booting again. Although this works (maybe after 1-3 tries) I don't believe that this is the way you should have to boot the computer. I also see lots of the same problem with the solution being the method I use. WHY IS THERE NO PERMANT FIX?!?!

  • No Response messages & computer shutting down, plus adapter driver missing (HP Pavilion m9400t)

My desktop computer (HP Pavilion m9400t, Vista 64-bit, SP2) has slowed to a grind in recent months, and programs keep locking up, giving me a "No Response" message. This started with IE 9 tabs, then MS Outlook, and now it's every program. I often reboot to get it going again, but run into the same problem in a few minutes.
I leave the computer on overnight to run automatic back-ups, and now, the last two nights, it has shut down and won't start up by pushing the power button. The light stays on under the power cord. I followed the instructions on HP.com to get it going again, and it starts back up. How do I get the computer working smoothly again?
I just ran a registry cleanup and cut back on start-up processes. Virus definitions are up to date. I ran Malwarebytes and deleted one threat that was quarantined. I also ran hardware diagnostics, which detected a Toshiba RNDIS Adapter that is missing a driver, but I can't find the driver on the HP site. The details under Device Manager say the adapter is at Port_#0002. Hub_#0001. What is this adapter--a USB port?--and where can I find the driver?
    Thanks for your help!

    Hello lcafarel,
    Let's do this.
    1. Unhook everything from your computer but the bare minimum. This is just the keyboard and mouse
    2. Unhook the internet modem if you are connected to a modem, if you are wireless, disable your wireless adapter.
    3. Put the computer in a clean boot state, starting only the bare minimum services for the computer to run
    a. Click start and then type msconfig.exe
    b. Under General tab choose the option Selective Startup
    c. Uncheck Load startup items
    d. Navigate to the Services tab
    e. Check Hide all Microsoft Services
    f. Choose disable all
    4. Reboot
    5. Monitor for 24 hours.
I would assume in this amount of time you would be able to affectively reproduce the issue of the computer locking up and shutting down.
If it continues to lock up then we can start looking at the computer on an OS level.
If it doesn't continue we have to start ruling things out.
First try plugging the internet back in, does the problem persist. Then start adding other peripherals back to the computer, e.g printers.
Continue to turn items on and add items to the computer until the lock ups and freezes occur. It's the best way to effectively isolate the cause.
As for the Adapter that is missing, it's something connected to your computer. Is it possible that you have a Toshiba modem that you are connected to for the internet?

  • MacPRO boots and shuts down in 1 motion

    Evevning forum,
After returning home I have tried to bootup my MacPRO (early 2008) and the machine is acting weird. Before I left all was working fine. It seems as soon as I press the start button the computer tries to power up and shuts down straight away, within in seconds. Could this be a power supply issue as many seem to have fallen fate to this issue. If so wha are the cost of a new one?
    Thanx in advance

    Was it unplugged from power?

Troubleshooting: My computer won't turn on
    https://support.apple.com/kb/TS1367
    Symptoms
If your Macintosh computer won't turn on, here's how to troubleshoot it. Please keep in mind that although your computer may display similar symptoms that prevent it from showing video, this article discusses what to do if the computer won't turn on, meaning that when you press the power button:
You don't hear a startup chime.
You don't hear any fan or drive noise.
The power button or power indicator doesn't light up at all.
If your computer doesn't display any video, it may display one or more of these similar symptoms when you press the power button:
You may hear a startup chime.
You may hear fan or drive noise.
You may see the power button or power indicator light up.
If any of these conditions occurs, see Troubleshooting: My computer has no video instead.
    Resolution
If your computer won't turn on, try each of these steps:
Make sure that the power cord is plugged into a working wall outlet, and that it's properly connected to the power adapter. (To check if the wall socket is working, plug in a lamp or other electrical device.)
Make sure that the power adapter is properly connected to the power port on the side or back of the computer.
Disconnect all accessories that are plugged into the computer, such as a printer, hub, or other mobile device.
Reset the computer's PMU, SMC, or PRAM. Refer to the instructions for your model:
    Portable (iBook or PowerBook)
    Mac mini
    iMac
    Power Mac
    Mac Pro

  • Laptop won't go to sleep mode and shut down properly.

hello,           My name is Atul and i upgraded my laptop hp pavilion 15-p017tu from win 8.1 to win 10 on 29h july. My laptop was working great before the upgrade and before upgrading i updraded ( updated ) all the drivers and windows too.          so, after the upgrade i have been facing the same problem which has been shared by many peple here..i.e win doesn't go to sleep mode. In my case when ever i put the sys to sleep mode, the screen turns off but the power button doesn't blinks and i can't go back to the normal mode by using mouse curser or pressing the power button back. I have to physically shut down the system by pressing the power button for 5 seconds.         Also, my system won't shut down properly and it is the same as the sleep mode probem. I have contacted the customer care of microsoft and hp both and they did some setting changes but the problem keeps coming back. I have also told by the hp care that they will take atleast a month or two to fix this as this may be due to hardware not supporting the current driver so this might take time. They also told me to just downgrade to win 8.1 and after sometime when this poblem is fixed i can again install and upgrade win 10. If any of you guys know how to fix this problem do share it here.      thanks!!

I came across your post about the Notebook, and wanted to assist you! I have looked into your issue about your HP Pavilion 15 p017tu Notebook and issues with the sleep mode and shut down not working correctly. Go into the Device Manger and go to display adapters. Update the driver. Select the Automatically search for updated drivers.
Here is a link to the HP Support Assistant if you need it. Just download and run the application and it will help with the software and drivers on your system that need updating after Windows 10 upgrades . I hope this helps. Thanks.

  • My macbook pro is stuck on grey screen with apple symbol in center with the progress circle under it continusly spinning. After I had turned it on. Prior to turning it on I had to force close and shut down a few hours prior. Please Help?

My macbook pro is stuck on grey screen with apple symbol in center with the progress circle under it continusly spinning. After I had turned it on. Prior to turning it on I had to force close and shut down a few hours prior. Please Help I have tried everything I know to do

Unfortunately this means that there is a problem in the boot sector of your hard drive. It might be indicative of a fundamental corruption in the coding that allows your computer to boot your operating system from your hard drive. I had this problem twice and it resulted in me having to get a new hard drive and restore my data.
In other words, your computer can't talk to your operating system so you can't access your data.
Here is my advice: DON'T CALL APPLE TECH SUPPORT though they are kind and usually helpful it will take you an hour just to explain the situation and they will only tell you to do what I'm gonna say here.
First: Shut down your computer completely
Two: boot up while holding down the following keys: command, option, p, and r. The computer will reboot 3 times. This solution will likely fail so if you're frustrated skip to the next step.
Three: Boot up while holding down the option key. Select recovery drive. Select your default language. Select disk utility, click on Macintosh HD, and select "verify and repair volume." Likely the verification will produce some line like "unused node not erased." Or something like that. If anything using the words "node structure" comes up, you need a new hard drive.
If after verification and repairs you still can't boot I sincerely hope you have apple care because you will need a new hard drive. Set up an appointment to come in to the apple store, they will tell you to go and get data recovery, just ask them to give you the old hard drive. Unless you have an up to date backup in which case you can just restore from that. If you're lucky the only issue is with the boot sector which means that if you ask them to give you the old hard drive, you can buy an enclosure and you have effectively been given a free external hard drive. It still works to store data just not to load an operating system.
If you have a back up drive bring it to the apple store and they'll do the whole thing right there, it should take around an hour and a half but may take longer.
Hope this helps, it's annoying but it's your safest bet.
    All the best.
