HP Pavilion dv7-2075eo Entertainment notebook pc - Can´t, get TV tuner working

HD went down, and after I made a recovery, I opgrated to Windows 8.(32 bit)
All driver for hardware were lost.
I´d found all drivers on HP´s site, but I can´t, get TV tuner working - can´t find hardware-
Can enybody help me with that?

I am going to be honest here. There is a good chance that not all hardware will be functional. This system was not designed for Windows 8 and was long before Windows 8.
With that being said, you can try this Vista Driver in compatibility mode. This is the driver for the express TV Tuner Card.
1. Download the driver.
2. Start the extraction process and take note of where it is getting extracted to. Cancel the installation once the extraction is finished.
3. Navigate to this extracted folder. Right-click the setup/installer file and select Troulbeshoot Compatibility.
4. Follow the prompts in the troubleshoot and select the automatic settings option.
5. Select Test Program when prompted.
6. Follow the installation.
7. If no errors were presented, it may work at this point.
NOTE: This process may not work, but it is a good place to start.
If you were using Windows Media Center previously, you may need to find a different solution. It is not available by default and will need to be added separately to Windows 8.
Here is the link for Media Center for Windows 8. It starts off by adding it to Windows 8 Pro, but the actual wording of the special offer towards the bottom does not specify Windows 8 Pro as a requirement. It may be worth trying.

First, try the automated fixit from Microsoft on the relevant link below.
Windows 7
Vista
Check if the drive is now working.
If it still doesn't work, click the Start Menu, open All Programs, open Accessories, right click the Command Prompt and select 'Run as Administrator'. In to the prompt type the following command and hit enter.
sfc /scannow ( note that there is a space between sfc and the / )
Let the process complete, then type exit and hit enter.
Next, click the Start Menu, open the Control Panel and click on Device Manager. Next click to open DVD/CD-ROM Drives. Right click the drive and select uninstall. Do not delete drivers if asked. When the device has uninstalled click on the 'Scan for Hardware Changes' icon ( usually just below Help on the toolbar ). Let windows reinstall the drive and see if it now works.

Bluetooth on HP Pavilion dv7-2173cl Entertainment Notebook PC

I can't seem to make this work with my Droid Razr Maxx or bluetooth wireless speaker even though there are icons in Devices and Printers dialog box with little yellow triangles on them. Ever since I have owned this laptop, I have not been able to use bluetooth. I have a 2009 HP Pavilion dv7-2173cl Entertainment Notebook PC that is running windows 7 all updated. Device manager shows that there is a bluetooth module to which I have uninstalled and reinstalled many times. I'm beginning to think that the module is defective.

It appears that the device is an HP branded bluetooth module. However, the information I can locate says it is powered by a Broadcom driver.
Did this notebook originally come with Windows 8?

Okay so I have been having this problem and it is really bothersome. My CPU usage spikes up to 100% when I do most anything and if I am running Adobe Flash it stays at 100%. I cannot watch movies or play games. My computer is running hot. We found that propping it up so it could get air helped but not for long. It goes right back up to 100%. I have tried everything, reinstalled the OS, updated drivers, BIOS, cleaned fans, everything. I have read so much on this with no definitive solution. PLEASE HELP!!

I have pavilion dv7 series laptop like it's stated up in the subject
I bought cable with conector for 2nd disk.
Now the question is what speed is possible through this cable or what my motherboard supports?
I want to install SSD disk inside but if there is only sata support there's no meaning for me to buy an SSD disc.
I tried msinfo32, dxdiag, info in support but can't find the product number or motherboard number to check what it supports

I took my computer to be repaired and they are saying that the hard drive has went bad. I checked HP website for Recovery Disk order form and can't find it. Is this because HP no longer has recovery operating system for my device? Can I get it elsewhere if HP no longer carries it?

If the driver doesn't install, go to the device manager and click on the problem ENE device. Click on the driver tab.
Click on Update Driver. Select the Browse my computer for driver software option and browse to the driver folder that was created when you ran the file. That folder will be located in C:\SWSetup\sp45045.
Make sure the Include Subfolders box is checked and see if the driver installs that way.

I need recovery media for HP Pavilion dv7-1285dx Entertainment Notebook PC.

The hard drive failed and I replaced it with a new SSD. The recovery disks that came from the Geek Squad guys at Best Buy won't work. Best Buy said to get them from HP and they would reimburse me. I can't find out how to order them on the HP website.

The product specs for your model indicate it came with Windows Vista Home Premium 64 bit.
I do not see that you can order recovery media online for your model so you will have to call HP at this number 1-(800) 474-6836, and see if they still carry them.
If not, you can still order a set from this non-HP vendor at the link below.

Yup, you can added extra hard drive in secondary bay...But to do that you will need to buy hard drive mounting Bracket. The part number of that is 605415-001
This system is capable of taking upto 2TB of Storage.

Love this laptop, wanna keep it. But I bought it in April 2011. What hardware upgrades would you recommend to get even more processing speed, memory and performance out of it? Here's what it has from the factory;

Try the following.
First, download the Flash uninstall utility on the link below and save it to your Desktop.
Flash Player Uninstaller.
When the download has completed, close all browser windows and run the uninstaller. After this has completed, restart the notebook.
Next ( unless you alrady have it ), download and install Firefox and then using Firefox, download and install the latest version of Adobe Flash. Note: You may want to deselect the option to include McAfee Security Scan Plus before downloading.
Close all browser windows before running the Flash installer.
Launch Firefox and see if Youtube videos now play Ok in this browser - if they do, close Firefox, open Internet Explorer and click on the same Adobe Flash link above to get a prompt to install the ActiveX component. When done, restart Internet Explorer.

HP Pavilion dv7-4178nr Entertainment Notebook PC - boot with black screen

Dear Sir/ Madam,
My notebook boots with fan on, blinks on keyboard in the caps lock, but there is no display in the screen at all. There is no backlight as well.
First of all, it would go like this. You shut down the notebook, restart it. try it for 10 to 15 times then it will start as normal. After about 2 weeks, when i try it, it didn't work.
I took the problem to service center, where the person told me that there is issues with the video card. He took my notebook inside and fixed it. He told me not to watch videos or play games.
I bought the notebook then I worked on it for about 1 week. After that one day i watched some videos on youtube. I also tried to download apps on microsoft store. After a while, it started to show scattered lights in the monitor. I restarted it. then the message" Press esc to load boot setup" appears to be in red color instead of white. there are also scattered lights somewhere in the screen. Then I again forcefully restarted the notebook. then it didn't start. the same problem that happened last time is happening.
Then today I again took my notebook to the service center. The person fixed my notebook again and again took some charges and told me not to play games or watch movies. Now i am writing in this forum with the same notebook just fixed today. But i wonder how long it will go. I need some solutions and precautions so that such problem doesn't happen again.

HP Pavilion dv7-3079wm Entertainment Notebook (Win 7 64 bit)

I ordered and received 3 disks from HP for a system restore, because I thought a malware had snuck onto my laptop and the MSE did not detect it. (Ads popping up in my browser, even when I had selected block pop ups on the browser commands).
I started the system restore, and it would reformat the drive before copying files from the recovery disks to the hard drive. It would freeze at 2% and say "F:/preload/base.wim failed to copy to C:"
I clicked okay to try several times and it would get the same answer.
BIOS tests shows everything is normal.
Do I need to download a driver to fix the file transfer to completely or what is up with my laptop?
Pressing F8 to repair the laptop is unsucessful, as the hard drive has already been wiped at the beginning of the system restore.
What do I do?

I would try wiping the entire Hard Drive first and then see if you can reinstall the Operating System with your Recovery Discs - you can do this as follows.
Download and install Killdisk on the link below - ( this application will write zeros to the entire drive ).
