HP Pavilion G6 1202sa Graphics Change

Hi. I was wondering if I could upgrade my graphics card from my AMD card to a NVidia GeForce 9400 in my HP Pavilion G6 1202sa as my motherboard supports PCI-E which is what my card is. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You cannot upgrade the graphics in any HP notebook made in the last several years without completely replacing the motherboard and only if a supported motherboard exists with better graphics than yours has.

It will cost several hundred dollars to undertake such a project, and it is typically a bad investment in time and money.

When I originally set up the computer, I just chose a preloaded picture that was offered. (For example, I chose the sunflower, but now I get an eagle--but never chose the latter). It's not really a big deal, I was just worried that somehow my computer might have been tampered with. The OS update may be why it changed.

Hello I own a HP Pavilion p7-1410 and only upgraded the power supply to a 550wat and was wondering what type of graphics card I can get that will work in my pc, I have tried a used nvidia gtx 560 ti -> it only lasted a few weeks till the screen changed a bunch of colors then stayed black and didnt work in my other pc. Could it be the card its self or can my pc not handle this card and or where would be a good place to start looking for cards for this computer?

If the card did not work in another PC, especially if the other PC had a PSU >=500 Watts and both PCIe power connectors were connected, then the card itself is likely to have issues.

Hello is there a way i can replace and upgrade my HP Pavilion dv6-6c53cl's graphics card? I would like to play some of the newer games on the market but the graphics card seems to be holding me back. If there isn't a way I can replace it, is there a way to raise it without physically replacing the part?

Hi,
No, you can't, the "Intel HD Graphics 3000" is soldered to the otherboard. Actually we can't change video card on nearly all laptops.

I upgraded to Lion and since then my desktop graphic changes back to the Lion 'default' desktop graphic every time I start up. I change it in System preferences, but next start up it is back to the default.

This problem just started when I upgraded to Lion OSX 10.7 and it makes no sense. When the new OS was installed, it replaced my Desktop graphic with a blue background starry asteroid like you see in the Lion promos. I went to System prefeences and changed it back to what I had, and it switches just fine, but when I shut down and restart, my graphic is gone, the old asteriod thing is back again. I don't like looking up at my name on the screen where the clock is supposed to be either, but I will get over that since I can't change it. I do want to know if anyone knows how to make your graphic for the Desktop stay the same through shutdown and restart, it is something so basic. I'd appreciate any help, Thank you!

Thanks so much but none of that helped. It was driving me crazy because it would back up another external drive. I just changed the name of the drive from iPhoto/iTunes Library to Media Libraries and IT WORKED!! I guess for some reason it didn't like the drive being called iPhoto or iTunes ???? I don't understand but I have tried so many solutions and exchanging things out but the name change did it????!!!

Audio not working in pavilion dm3 after harddrive change and operating system reload

I had hard drive failure on my Hp Pavilion dm3 and so I got a new hard drive and had the operating system reloaded and upgraded from Windows 7 Home Premium to Windows 7 Professional. My audio isn't working unless I have external speakers plugged in. I have no missing drivers in the Device Manager. The speaker icon has movement and it seems like there should be volume coming out but there's nothing.
Is it possible that while I had my machine repaired that the guy unhooked the speakers from inside the computer accidentally?
Its not easy to get into the inside of this machine the repair guys said. I did take this computer to a repair shop to get fixed because I don't know how to do all that changing. I really don't want to take it back in just yet cause Im hoping its just a driver issue.
Also before I had all this work done and computer working great, I used to have little image pop up when I would press the mute button or when I would increase or decrease the volume and I can see how high or low my volume without having to hover over the speaker icon on my taskbar. Now after the reload all that doesnt appear. The buttons work but no little image popping up and I can figure out what that driver is called.

Graphic Change: Methode "Picture Export"

Hey Guys,
i need some help by changing the graphic like colour & so on.
The core-aspect is that i want plot my noticed Points in my graph in a word file.
I tried it with the Methode "Picture export" and saved the frozen graph as BMP and it works but i dont like the white background.
Can someone help me by changing the graphic.

There is a easy way to change the graphic look by using property nodes.
-Right click at the graphic on the front panel >>create>>property node>>plot>>plot color
-The property node appears at the block diagram right click>>change all to write
-connect the property entrance with an "color box constant" (you can find it by pressing ctrl+space and typing "color box constant") to select the color

Im a big pc gamer and the graphics card I currently have is good but im looking to push further and get a better one. Mainly looking to get a more powerful graphic card that is compatible with the processor I currently have. Your PC is spec'd with a 300 watt power supply. Unplug your PC and open it up. Read the label on the power supply. What is the total wattage and the 12+ volt amperage? Also, is the slot next to the video card (PCI-E x16 slot) open? The e9920y specifications and motherboard.
If your PC only has a 300 watt power supply, then depending on the 12+ volt amperage you have limited choices of video graphics cards without replacing the power supply. You probably can get the NVIDIA Geforce 220 GT to work but nothing faster. For a gamer, the GT 220 is not the best choice but it's faster than your ATI Radeon HD 4350. At this point, you will need to replace the power supply and install a new video card if your want something faster.
Review the ATI and NVIDIA performance specifications. Look at the memory bandwidth specifications and the DirectX level support.

Unfortunately the ATI graphics chip is integrated into the System Board and as such, is not an upgradeable component.

I recently bought a HP Pavilion 500-424 and was interested in upgrading the graphics card for gaming purposes and wanted to know which graphics cards are compatible before I purchase a graphics card that doesnt fit or is not able to be used with my computer.

(a) No video card, it is AMD graphics (combined with the processor),
(b) Processor socket: None (processor is soldered to the motherboard)

That means if you wish to upgrade video "card" you have to upgrade CPU and if you wish to upgrade CPU you have to upgrade motherboard ===> buy a new machine.

HP Pavilion G6 - Radeon graphics card issue

Hi all!
I have a HP Pavilion G6-2240SH notebook, that has two graphics card. I'm using Windows 8.1 operating system
The motherboard's graphics card works correctly. But there's a hyper-super other card: Radeon HD 7600M
I tried to use the official driver from HP's site, and other drivers from the official Radeon's site, but it doesn't work.
The operation system tells me that "Windows has stopped this device becouse it has reported problem (Code 43)".
Do you have any idea what could be the problem with my video card?

Hi:
On the models with the AMD/Intel switchable graphics, you have to use the graphics driver on the support and driver page for your notebook.
See if this works...
Download and run the driver again from your notebook's support page.

Go to the device manager and click on the problem amd graphics adapter.
Click on the driver tab. Click on Update Driver. Select the browse my computer for driver software method and browse t the driver folder that was created when you ran the file.
That folder will be located in C:\SWSetup\sp59936.
Make sure the include subfolders box is checked and see if the driver installs that way.
If that doesn't work, see if this driver works instead...

Your particular notebook has integrated Intel graphics only - it isn't possible to upgrade the graphics card on that unit.

Graphic Change from CS3 to CS5

I created a 3 layer graphic file in CS3 with one layer being text. I imported it into the target application, DVD Studio Pro, and it looked fine. I copied that file onto another computer where I installed the trial version of CS5. (I didn't want to risk messing up my editing computer). I imported that file into DSP on the 2nd computer and it looked fine.
I then opened the CS3 file in CS5. I modified the text, changed nothing else, and saved it as a new file. When I brought the 2nd file into DSP it was changed! It was squeezed. When I look at both in CS5 they look the same with all the same settings. The rotten part of this is I have already created 200 files that I assumed would work!!!!!
So again, file#1 from CS3 looks fine in DSP. Anything new is squeezed and distorted. I REALLY need some help on this to try and save my work - otherwise its back to square 1 and CS5 goes out the window.

I should add that viewing the files in Preview you can see the size of file#2 is been reduced by about 25% even though all the specs are the same.

Was the file you tried attaching under the 5MB limit? I sent you a private message to see if there's another way to get a sample file.
