Good morning ,
I have a problem on my notebook hp pavilion g6-1326sl . It does not work the audio and microphone headset .
I tried to format the computer and reinstall the operating system win 7 , both 32 and 64 bit ( one installed ) . I tried using the drivers from the HP website , IDT audio driver High - definition ( HD ) 6.10.6341.0 rev . But the loudspeakers of the PC are combined with headphones ( loudspeakers / headset ) .
The reproduction of the sounds takes place together , and inserting the headphones do not come off the speakers pc .
In addition skype does not work in any way , selecting any internal and external microphone , using headphones and without .
You know help me to solve the problem ?

Quicktime 7 not working (no audio) and crashing on XP?

The new Quicktime player seems a little skittish?..
Most of the video tutorials here www.PixelCreatorPro.com do not work in v7.03 but they work perfectly in v6.5?...
They are all encoded using Sorenson 3 video codec and Qualcomm Pure Voice Mono 11.025 kHz for the audio codec...
Now in v7.03 my browser (IE) either crashes or it shows the video but no audio?...
Any ideas?...

I've been having the same problem, but on Win2KPro. The odd thing is, the movies I'm viewing work fine with QTPro on one system, and don't work at all on another system. I know it's not the movies, therefore, and so it's either a bad install, or else it's a system setting...unfortunately, I've tweaked every audio setting I can think of and still can't get audio in QT 7. It plays the video fine, but either the audio doesn't come through, or else after about 30sec. it will sound almost like a badly scratched CD, in that it just seems to grab one part of the audio and skip. If anyone knows of any tweaks that have worked to fix this, it would certainly help!

Been searching hard to get my new install up and humming. A couple of problems are hounding me. I would be very grateful for help.
Audio via an HDMI cable out of a little Sony TV I am using as a monitor is not working. Alsamixer shows two SPDIF outputs both unmuted showing 00.

Secondly:
I am using LKDM. Launching Enlightenment 17 worked initially but after I went through the setup steps it sent me back to LKDM. If I login as root and launch Enlightenment it flashes the 'almost there' screen from the end of the setup and then sends me back to LKDM. If I login as a user it just blinks and stays on LKDM. LKDE works flawlessly (except for the fact that my user desktop background will go back to default after I log out and back in, the background for root stays put and does not disappear after logging out and back in)
I absolutely adore the Arch Linux wiki and followed the install instructions for Arch Linux/LKDM/LKDE/Enlightenment closely, I just need to get these last issues solved so I can happily grind Stata all day.

Enlightenment17 does not work again today, but it is not an issue as I think I prefer LXDE anyway.
As per audio, tried installing the official realtek driver for linux from their site, but it seemingly just made things worse. Even after using make uninstall in the directory I installed from I cannot launch alsamixer: "cannot open mixer: No such file or directory". I tried installing OSS, following the wiki's instructions but got the following when I ran "soundon"

make[1]: *** [_module_/usr/lib/oss/build] Error 2

Relinking the OSS kernel modules failed
uninstalled OSS and unistalled alsa-lib, alsa-tools and alsa utils. Reinstalled alsa lib, tools and utils and still no luck.
Tried just about every solution that is posted and made my problem worse. Is there a way to 'refresh' the arch specific kernel without having to do a completely new install? I tried pacman -S linux and it worked but did not bring back alsamixer functionality.
Also, anyone have any inkling as to why google-chrome or chromium will not lauch after being installed from the aur and package database?
Otherwise I am getting very good performance from my hardware in the programs I use.

Does this happen with all cd's or one in particular?

Try a cleaning disc. You can get them at places like Radio Shack.
If nothing helps your optical drive has probably failed. You can replace it or purchase an inexpensive external drive. Don't buy the Apple SuperDrive as it won't work with macs that have a built in drive.

HT1386 I have an app called ipieta which was originally downloaded onto an ipod. I gave the ipod to someone else, but now that I've had the iphone I can not get the audio even though it is downloaded into itunes music like it said to do. It won't work.

Sorry. There's nothing anyone can do. The current version of the facebook app will not run on 4.2.1. The iPhone 3G won't run anything higher than 4.2.1. You're stuck.

Hi:
Please click on the devices in the device manager. Then click on the details tab. In the properties drop down list, select the second item (Hardware ID's). Post the top string of characters you see for each device.
Those will identify the model devices you have and I can try and find the drivers for them. Is it Windows 7 32 or 64 bit you have installed?

Playing rentals, Netflix, from local iTunes, other?
Firstly restart router and AppleTv after unpowering to see if that helps - may or may not but quick and easy to try.
Connection via ethernet or wifi? If wifi are there any new devices in the house which may be causing interference or new neighbouring networks? If feasible try to eliminate wifi issues by using an ethernet connection.

I get a lot of "Could not get the audio data from the file" errors when opening a project. Sometimes they crash Premiere Pro CC 7.01 (Mac). But if not Premiere works as usual, with the audio.
I tried to convert the audio files (coming from Audition) from 32 to 16 bit. It worked while opening a project once, but not the following times.
Where can it come from ?
Edit: I also get this error when importing audio: "Error: Premiere Pro version 7.0 is not compatible with the Premiere Pro Plug-in version 5.7.4". Maybe it is connected.

Got it! It was the Smartsound plugin making trouble. Got rid of it and no more errors.

Enter the device manager and verify that the webcam is present and has a driver installed.
1) Test your webcam by using the YouCam software that was delivered with your notebook. (you should also be able to test it with MSN or Skype setup). You may have to uninstall it and then reinstall the software.

Adobe has decommissioned the CS2 activation servers, so your old serial number is no longer usable.
If you download the special non-activating version of CS2 that Adobe has made available to licensed CS2 users, you MUST also use the new serial number provided by Adobe on that download page:
