I grasp that after updating to Windows 8.1, your Bluetooth is not functioning.
Have you ran The HP Support Assistant ?
Have you tried Using Automated Troubleshooting (Windows 8) to overcome this issue?
The wireless button driver affects the Bluetooth on your system. When I checked for an updated Wireless button driver for you unit and Windows8.1, I did not see one listed. I have located one that should be compatible with your notebook and Windows 8.1. Would you please try installing it. sp63752.exe
Here is a link to Using Bluetooth Devices (Windows 8) that may also be useful.
If the issue remains try these steps.
Step 1. Go to device manager
Step 2. Right click on "Bluetooth Peripheral Device" that you want
Step 3. Select "Update Driver Software..."
Step 4. Choose "Browse my computer for driver software"
Step 5. Choose "Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer"
Step 6. Select "Ports (COM & LPT)"
Step 7. Select "Microsoft" at "Manufacturer" list
Step 8. Finally select "Standard Serial over Bluetooth link".
If you are still unable to pair with a Bluetooth device try the following:.
Step 1. Search for "Change device" in the Windows 8 Start menu.
Step 2. Click on where it says Change device installation settings.
Step 3. Select the No, let me choose what to do option.
Step 4. Check the automatically get the device app option
Step 5. Click Save changes to save the settings you just chose.
As well you can try this.
Step 1: Go to RUN (Windows Logo + R) and type “services.msc” and Enter
Step 2: Now find “Bluetooth Support Service” and double click on it
Step 3: Now click on Log On Tab and Type in "Local Service" without quotes
Step 4. Click on “This Account”
Step 5: Now remove any passwords leave the password field blank
Step 6: Underneath the upper left title should be a hyperlink "Start" Click it
Please let me know the results.

Pavilion g6 2006tx battery replacement
I am looking forward to replace my laptop battery.
Laptop model : Pavilion g6 2006tx
Battery model : 593553-001
I wish to upgrade to a longer life battery. Can anybody suggest the best suitable battery?
Is MU06 6cell battery compatible?
This question was solved.
View Solution. All g6-2000 models use the same battery. The 9 cell will fit but it does bulge out a bit so you have a hump that elevates the rear of the laptop. I kind of like it because it keeps the laptop cool but does add weight and bulk to the laptop.

HP Pavilion G6-1113eo webcam not working
Hello,
I have a HP Pavilion G6-1113eo with Windows 7 and the integrated webcam stopped working just a few weeks after I bought it. I have several times tried reinstalling and updating the driver program (cyberlink youcam) but nothing seems to help. What should I do? Cyberlink can't find the webcam at all. The Youcam program is not so important to me, if it is easier to get the camera working without it.
So what to do? I wouldn't like to do a recovery of Windows as I feel it could happen again at any time.Sounds like the hardware has failed.
If your warranty was still valid it should be replaced.
If not, if you don't fancy replacing it yourself (eBay), just buy a USB webcam is probably the handiest. -

HP Pavilion G6-1232sl Webcam Resolution?
Hi There,
I'm trying to find out the resolution of a HP laptop I intend to buy but in all the product specifications, it never shows the max resolution of the webcam. Could someone please answer this for me please?
Laptop: HP Pavilion G6-1232sl
Thanks very much,
alannm37.Hi @alannm37,
Thank you for visiting the HP Support Forums and Welcome. I have read about you needing the Webcam resolution for HP Pavilion G6-1232sl Notebook.
A resolution up to 1366-768 with a 16:9 wide aspect ratio HD. I suspect the ratio would 720p as it is not listed in your manual for the Webcam. Here is link to the manuals for your notebook.
Hope this is what you need.
Thanks.

Sir,
The recovery disk that was prepared for my Laptop has been corrupted and is not functioning. The laptop shows an error message as 'BOOTMGR.EXE is missing'. Whenever I use the disk, it starts off well but it stops after 13% of the installation is done. There is no recovery partition in my laptop as it was deleted after the recovery disk was burned.
All this started when I wished to format my Laptop and reinstall the operating system.
I donot wish to install any operating system other than my original supported WINDOWS 7 HOME BASIC. So, if you could send me a recovery disk of the same, it will be very helpful. Any other details required shall be provided.
Your hasty attitude in this matter would be highly appreciated.
Regards
Anuj AgarwalAnuj.
This is the procedure for recovery disc's.

This is where you look to see if there is the option to order recovery disc's for your laptop.
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?os=4063&lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en&sw_lang=&product=5239...
NOTE: If you cannot find an "Order Recovery Media" section, select another operating system from the drop down list until you find a "Order Recovery Media" section or you determine that a Recovery Media section does not exist in any of the operating system selections. If you cannot find a Recovery Media section for your computer model, HP does not have a recovery kit available.
Sorry.

Pavilion dv7-6c54ea Webcam quality
Having used the webcam for the first time for a video call I cant help but feel that HP could have done something better. Ok its suppose to be HD but it when its on an online video call you notice its running only as 15 FPS and so is very jiggery. Can something be done about this to get at least 30FPS on a call? Whats the best drivers to install.. Is there anything that can be done to enhance the picture that I am sending? Although this is a new lappy the webcam isstraight out of the 1990's.. Any help would be appreciated.
This question was solved.
View Solution.Update AND a FIX..
Ok.. after many days of trial and tribulations I have found the fix AND I have to apologise to HP as I do not think it is a driver issue lol (yeh I know.. )
Ok so I got Youcam opened and started messing about with the settings. Lo and behold I got it working perfect by unticking "Exposure" in the advanaced properties for the camera.
But there is something else I found out. What I have told you above is in "ATI Graphics card" mode.
Get this. If you put it in "Intel CPu/GPU" mode (therefore not using the ATI card inside) you can run youcam with all the setting all the way up WITH exposure on and it works perfect. You even get told about the quicksync on the cpu in the process.
So I can only imagine that this driver has been streamline MAINLY for the CPUGPU mode and not the GPU inside.
So there we have it. For people who have had a problem give it a go. You will be pleasantly surprised. -

This question was solved.
View Solution.Hi:
You may need to reinstall the graphics driver, but I think it is the same one you have now. It is from 2012 and so all they did was say it was good for W8.1 too.

Hi @Madwho,
Welcome to the HP Support Forum!
I understand that you are having webcam problems. I am happy to help you, but it would be best to get the full product number and OS version. Please read the following documents if you need help in finding those.
How Do I Find My Model Number or Product Number?
Is the Windows Version on My Computer 32-bit or 64-bit?
See the following pages I have found that should assist you with this problem. I am including some pages on several possible problems to try to cover most of the bases as I do not know your OS and full computer. Hopefully one of these shots will hit the basket.

Webcam Troubleshooting (Windows 7)
Fixing Webcam After Changing the Operating System
Webcam Drivers
YouCam Quick Setup
Using CyberLink YouCam to Capture Videos and Pictures, using the Webcam (Windows 8)
Testing a Webcam Using YouCam
Please let me know if this helped at all or if you need more. If you do please post any results or error messages you had, plus the product number and OS versions as I mentioned in the beginning.

Webcam not visible in Device Manager
Hello,
after a reinstalltion of windows 7 on my HP Pavilion 55SG the Webcam (HP TrueVision HD) is not visible in the device manager. I´ve searched for drivers of it but on the hp page there are none.
I have already installed cyberlinks youcam, but it says there is no webcam on my pc.
Is there any key combination to activate the webcam?
Thanks in advance!Dear Customer,
Welcome and Thank you for posting your query on HP Support Forum
It looks like you are facing difficulties with regards to Webcam of your Notebook
We will surely assist you with this issue
Firstly I would like you to know that the Webcam might indeed be disconnected - it happens. The tiny wires that connect the webcam camera are fragile; they might disconnect, become twisted, or be crushed along the hinge area. The damage can occur at any time, or it may never happen. I have had some notebooks for many years in which the webcam has always remained fully functional. Every notebook is different.
