HP Pavilion g6-2240sa Windows 7 64Bit graphics drivers

I installed windows 7 on my HP Pavilion g6-2240sa however, the windows 8 graphics drivers are not compatible with windows 7.
Can someone please give me a link to some appropriate compatible drivers.

Sorry none of those things worked.
I have one other thing you can try, and if that doesn't work, then I suggest you give up and reinstall W8.
Download and run the AMD Mobility Radeon Driver Verification tool and see if it finds and installs a graphics driver for you.
http://support.amd.com/en-us/download/mobile?os=Windows 7 - 64
You may also want to try reinstalling W7 start fresh, and just use that last graphics driver I posted from the HP 2000.
And should you decide to start from the beginning, make sure you install the AMD chipset driver first before installing the graphics driver.  You only need the first file download listed on the webpage.

  • Windows 10 graphics drivers for pavilion dv7-4264ca

I recently did the free Windows 10 upgrade after Windows compatibility showed no issues to do so. After upgrading, I received an error that my AMD graphice drivers were not installed or were not working properly. Winndows Update said the best driver was installed. I went to AMD's website and found that they recommend contacting the computer manufacturer for updated drivers. I contacted HP Support because the drivers were not on my product's web page for download. HP support transferred my call to AMD support, where I received no answer to my call. After completely uninstalling the drivers, I tried installing AMD's latest driver (15.7.1) from their website. I once again received the same error after install completed. There seems to be no solution out there as of yet. If there is, I would love to know what it is, as neither HP nor AMD have been able to help! If not, I would like some idea when HP will have updated drivers posted and available for downoad? Any input greatly appreciated.

I am in the same "boat" I have tried the AMD install of a new driver, etc and nothing works. With Windows 7, I had no problems with my external DELL 24" monitor and my 2 month old Samsung 4K tv! After installing Windows 10, it does not recognize a second monitor. Get your "SH_T" together HP. Get us some drivers to resolve this issue.

  • Windows 10 Graphics Drivers for my HP Mini

Are we ever going to get Windows 10 compatible drivers for Intel 3600 Graphics, both me and my wife have the same model of HP Mini, so as you will appreciate we are going to be totally hacked off if we aren't going to be able to upgrade our 2 year old netbooks to Windows 10! Any advice apart from the usual "buy a new lapop" would be appreciated!

That would be correct. While I am not employed by, nor do I represent HP, I can guarantee you nobody will be developing W8, W8.1 or W10 drivers for that gpu. However there is a chance the W7 driver will work. They didn't develop one for my HP nc6400 notebook (which only has support for XP and Vista), and I am running W10 on it just fine by using the W7 graphics GMA 950 driver that I got from Intel.

  • HP Pavilion 15-e001ax windows 7 Graphics driver

I have installed windows 7 ultimate 64bit on my laptop, all the drivers are working properly except the graphics driver. When i run any game, there is half-half inch empty black screen on both side, (left side and right side) and the game run on middle of the screen. the same problem i faced, when i upgrade from win8 to win8.1, but when i install propre drivers, the issue is resolved, So please help me out.

Hi: The only suggestion I can offer would be to try the W7 graphics driver directly from AMD. http://support.amd.com/en-us/download/mobile?os=Windows%207%20-%2064 If that doesn't work, I suggest you contact HP technical support for the country you live in at the link below, and submit a support case if your notebook is still under warranty.  There may be a hardware issue with the display or gpu. http://www8.hp.com/us/en/contact-hp/ww-contact-us.html

    SM Bus Controller
    Universal Serial Bus (USB) Controller
    UnKnown Device
    Any help is greatly appreciated.
    Best Regards

    Hi, Ron:
See if this works for you...
    SMBus Controller:
Download, unzip and manually install the smbus controller driver I attached under Attachments below.
Go to the device manager and click on the smbus controller needing drivers.  Click on the driver tab.  Click on Update Driver.
Select the Browse my computer for driver software option and browse to the driver folder that you unzipped.
Make sure the Include Subfolders box is checked and the driver should install.  Then reboot.
USB3:   Install both of these and reboot.

    Good day,
There are no drivers in HP download section!
I've just installed Windows 7 on my notebook, so I need the drivers pretty much. The only driver I've found is my ethernet Realtek Driver. Tried to download manuall AMD Display Driver (HD7000M series) but it doesnt work!
And I really dont get how to enable Wi-Fi on! F12 does not work (Fn key combinations too) so red light is on, dont know how to make it green, and there is no wireless adapters in my device manager is it OK?
    Please help!

I mean the wireless driver software. that should help with the FN12 key.
Do you understand what I mean by installing in compatibility mode?
Place the driver installation file on the desktop.
Right Click the driver installation file and select Properties/Compatibility Tab. Select the appropriate options in from the list in the following images.
    Select Windows 7
Click on Start the Program to test it.

It just said the installation completed fine but with warnings. I tried to disable my Intel 3000 HD to see how my Radeon graphics works and launched one game after the driver install - but it was laggy as hell, so i closed the game and I got the error like "AMD Driver is not installed or it doesn't work properly. Please install the AMD driver." (sorry for bad translation).
Im really exhausted of searching on google, i've done that really for hours... please help.

Hey mate! I have solved my problem! I was calling to an HP technician and he told me that there is NO OFFICIAL way to solve my problem because there are no official drivers for me. Anyway he said there is an UNOFFICIAL way to do it but it's on my own risk and HP does not take any responsibility for its functionality so i gave him my phone number and an email, he sent me the site where are the drivers so i tried it as a last chance (otherwise i would downgrade to win 8.0) and it works! I'm so happy that he told me about that site... I'm not sure about the rules on the forums so i won't post the link in here, but if you want to know more just send me an email to [email protected]
I wish you an happy day cause it's definitely a great day for me!

  • HP Pavilion p7-1410 & Windows 7 drivers... do they exist?

Client just bought a HP Pavilion p7-1410 (Windows 8 pre-installed). Their sole booking engine they employ currently only operates through Internet Explorer 8, which is not supported by Windows 8. This is something they have no control over, as the company they have their service through has yet to upgrade their software to even IE9.  It's not a simple matter of upgrading browsers and even less simple to change the vendor/software solution. They have to work within the limits of the vendor software.
Currently, when a new computer is purchased, I have to go in and uninstall IE9. During that process, the system installs IE8. I then set the Automatic Updates to ignore any IE9 updates. Again, as Windows 8 no longer supports IE8, I have to find another solution.
The only solution I can see is to downgrade the OS to Windows 7. This isn't a real issue as they have open licensed Windows 7 for install on new machines. The issue I am having (before I begin the downgrade process) is I see no drivers for this particular computer's individual components (network/graphics/audio/devices) of the Windows 7 flavor, only Windows 8 is listed on the website.
My question is are there Window 7 drivers for this particular computer or do I have to have the client return this machine for a computer that will be compatible with Windows 7 (drivers)?
This is a stock machine purchased through Office Depot (i3 Core (2nd gen)/8GB RAM/1.5TB HDD/Windows 8 (x64)). The client is upgrading from an IBM ThinkCentre with Windows XP Pro (yes I know... so please no jibes/jokes).
All serious, constructive replies are greatly appreciated.

    Hi:
It looks like you can install the W7 drivers listed from this model which uses the same hardware.

    Hi, Daniel:
There is no 32 bit support for your model.
You will have to experiment with drivers from business models and drivers from the hardware component mfr's websites.
You can try these for starters:
    1. Chipset driver. Install first and reboot.

    2. Graphics driver.

    3. Audio. This one I am not sure of, and you may never get the audio to work (try updating from the device manager and use the automatic search once you can connect to the internet).
    https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&DwnldID=19282&keyword=IDT&DownloadType=Drive...
Network:  Download and install the second driver on the list.

  • Boot camp in Windows 7 doesn't install graphics drivers

I installed Windows 7 through Boot Camp today on my MacBook Pro, which I have hooked up to an Apple Cinema display due to screen issues. I put in my Mac install DVD and installed Boot Camp. However, it appears that my graphics drivers have not installed, because the display is squashed, and when I turn the resolution up, my Apple Cinema display turns off. I have done this before, and had this problem, but I don't know how I fixed it (i'm going to record what my solution was this time, just in case). It's an early 2007 MacBook Pro, with an ATI Mobility Radeon X1600. I think other people have had similar problems, but the answers to those don't help, and I haven't found a question for my specific graphics card. Help is much needed! Thank you.

Apple employees do read these posts right? Why are you guys so afraid to let graphics switching be available on Windows? Why do you guys cripple Windows and say that is isnt Apples fault for not delivering optimized drivers to get the same experience you do on Mac OS?
