HP Pavilion screen wiggles (a bit loose).

My HP Pavilion dv9860ed is about a year old, and slowly my screen is starting to wiggle more. It stays open when I'm working at my laptop, but when I move it, the screen can move about 1,5 cm forward and wiggle back.
Is there a way I can tighten some screws or anything like that to solve the problem myself? Or does this have to be done by someone from the dealer/repair-center?

Unless Apple determines this is a hardware defect or they make an exception if caused by accidental damage, Apple will not help you as in exchanging or repairing the iPad for free.

I just got an iPod touch 5th generation back in November and while I was out in my garage trying to find something on a shelf while standing on a stool, I dropped my iPod touch the screen cracked a bit- anyone know repair prices from Apple?

So I dropped it... And the screen cracked a bit. It's fairly new (got it in November) but I noticed Apple doesn't cover accidents like mine. Anyone know the prices for getting a replacement/ repair? It's not that bad of a crack, but it's annoying and new so..Yah. Any help with prices for a replacement/warranty would be helpful and on how I should do it. Maybe I can get a replacement for cheap or free cuz I got it recently and I've never complained to Apple before? I know it's my mistake but I'd be thankful if you guys could help! Thanks!

Sorry, but the warranty does not cover accidental damage no matter how recently you got your iPod. As to servicing, Apple does not repair iPods, but will replace the entire iPod for a flat fee; see the Repair Pricing section here:

There are independent iPod repair services that may be able to replace the screen for less. Do a web search for "ipod repair". It is also possible to purchase parts and find instructions on doing a repair yourself, though it's not particularly easy. Note, though, that if you elect to have the iPod serviced by an unauthorized shop or perform a repair yourself, all further support from Apple will be void.

The sound on my HP Pavilion g7-1279dx 64 bit Notebook was workinmg until I plugged in the headphones. Now all sound is lost, although the diagnostic tools say sound devices are enabled.

Try the following.
Download the IDT Audio installer on the link below and save it to your Downloads folder.

When done, open windows Control Panel, open Device Manager and open up Sound, Video and Game Controllers. Right click the IDT device and select Uninstall - you should also get a prompt to remove the current driver, tick the box to allow this and then proceed with the uninstall.
When complete, restart the notebook and let Windows fully load. Open your Downloads folder, right click on the IDT installer and select 'Run as Administrator' to start the installation. When this has completed, right click the speaker icon in the Taskbar and select Playback Devices. Left click 'Speakers and Headphones' once to highlight it and then click the Set Default button - check if you now have audio.
If you still have no audio, open windows Control Panel, open Administrative Tools and open Services. Check that the following services are all showing as Status= Started and Start-up Type= Automatic

Multimedia Class Scheduler
Windows Audio
Windows Audio Endpoint Builder
If you need to make a change to any of the above, just right click the service and select Properties, then in the dropdown box next to 'Start-up type', select Automatic and click Apply to save the change. Then click the Start button.

Click wheel is a bit loose...

I have this nano for almost a year now. I take really good care of it. But now I notice that the click wheel is a bit loose. The click wheel itself can be displaced about 1mm. Is that normal? or something needs to be done?

I would definitely return it if i were you. I kept mine past the return time, and the click wheel has pretty much come off of my iPod. When I sent it in to Apple to fix it, they sent it back and said it was my fault it happened. Apple isn't my favorite company at the moment to say the least.

The screen on my laptop has started rolling intermittently. It rolls more when I first turn it on or after I have closed it and open it back up. Most of the time it goes from constant rolling, to slower rolling and eventually it stops. What can be done for this?

If you want to fix this problem the simplest thing to do is buy a Dell. Seriously though it probably isn't the computer at all. It might be your home\office power. We are seeing this same issue. Our troubleshooting shows that if the end user is using a 3 prong power cable they have this problem if they are using a 2 prong power cable they are not.
It's odd because normally the power brick will even out the issues with surges but for some reason it is not.
You can try removing the drivers and letting them reinstall but chances are it won't resolve this problem. Atleast it didn't resolve it for our employees.

Try pressing the Escape key once to get out of the full screen mode,
then taking your cursor and grabbing one of the corners of your Safari screen to set it to the size you want.

Screen hinges are to loose

Today I opened my ibook lid and it made a pop noise when it was about a 90 degree angle and now the screen is extremely loose, I found the pop noise is going from the back of the laptop at the seem, when it gets to about 90 degrees the case separates then goes back together making a popping noise.

I took it apart and on the right side the flap that connects to the rod was snapped so looks like need to replace the frame,
so that is the hinge leaf that screws to the lower case? The pdf I'm looking at shows that leaf and two clinch points where it clinches to the axle. Is that axle still fastened firmly to the display frame? I believe it's fastened with rivets.
If it's still firm you might only need the hinge itself. You can force the broken clinched parts off the axle if it's still firm to the upper bracket. Even if they're loose you could repin them. I've seen the hinges for sale on eBay.

also who ever owned the computer before me took it apart and did some damage to the frame, top case, and the mic wire so whats the best way to fix the mic wire? It was cut clean were it enters the hinge on the left side like it was rubbed into two.
If you're good at soldering you'd strip the broken leads and solder them back together. I've got a 500 G3 and a 1.33 G4 here. The 1.33 is different and the wire in the 500 looks like 3 very tiny wires. One I suspect would be the shield.
I don't know if I have shrink tubing that small. Maybe stagger the two internals and use 1 shrink over them then shrink over the shield.
You seem to have a good knowledge of the internals of your machine.

I'm not entirely sure I understand your post. I've read about some iPhones going into single user mode. But after you reset your iPhone, did you hook it back up to your computer and resync it? All your information should be backed up on your computer so that if you lose it from your phone, it can be recovered.

Is it me or is screen painter a bit naff in sbo 2004 ?

Screen painter seems fine for normal text and labels but if you use many other objects it doesn't seem to work properly.
Check box's don't work, it seems to loose datasources, it doesn't seem to handle pains well. I seem to have to edit the xml file and all is well but as soon as you add more fields those changes are lost.
Am I missing something or are most people starting in screen painter and editing xml files ?
I think screen painter is better in 2005 but the eval copy I have loaded doesn't seem to want to load any addons

Why does SAP try to develop a full GUI development tool, instead of using avaiable tools?
I have tested the BO DE toolkit, and it is really good. Why doesn´t SAP go on with this toolkit and integrate the GUI development tool in VS.Net?
I don´t think it would be too difficult to create a subset of controls that just creates the SBO XML form when generating the forms. This way, developers should develop once, use twice (inside SBO as an AddOn, or outside SBO, as 3rd party application using the DI.).
This will really improve the development time of SBO AddOns, which is nowadays not too good (IMHO). BO DE toolkit is just the start for a really good development platform. But is just the start.

My Blackberry Curve 8520 optical trackpad bit loose. Normal?

Hi all. I just got my Blackberry Curve 8520 by mail and so far so good. But I have a question about the optical trackpad. It seems that when I scroll up or down using my thumb, the pad itself moves a bit up or down. I mean very slightly that you can feel it. This slight movement does not happen when i scroll left or right direction. Is this normal? Is the optical trackpad suppost to be 100% solid vuilt into the device, no movement whatsoever, not loose what so ever??? I AM NOT TALKING ABOUT THE DOWN PRESS.

I have the Sprint 8530. Mine does the same thing. These are little pads that are connected to a device that allows you to actually "click" on them to select your selection. You can feel this when you move your finger around on it. It is supposed to do that.
