Hp pavilion shows no input signal?

I have a Hp pavilion p6208f that came with 6GB RAM and 500GB Hard drive. It's about two years old and has both windows 7 and Ubuntu on it. Anyway the problem I've been having is when i turn on the computer it shows no input signal on the monitor. I use a VGA cord and nothing is wrong with it because I plugged it up to my laptop and the laptop info shows on the pc monitor. It had the same issue about two months ago so I bought a new video card ( a Nvidia Geforce210) and all worked well until a few days ago. A few days ago the pc started acting up again and displaying the no input message. After messing  with the video card and jiggling it around I got it to work two nights but last night nothing worked.
Heres the things I've already tried from looking at other posts:
Did a hard restart. (unplugged power cord and held power button a little over a minute)
Took out video card and hard drive, and put them back in.
jiggled the video card around plenty in case it was just getting a bad connection
Hooked up VGA cord to laptop to make sure that wasn't the problem
Clean out the fans (the fans and everything work just fine still)
Turned the monitor off and on to make see if showed VGA active
The only thing i did not do was try a DVI cord plugged into it because I do not have one right now.
Anyone have or had the same problem? I'm hoping the video part of the motherboard is not going out, but could that be what's happening?

>I'm hoping the video part of the motherboard is not going out
Try the onboard graphic - so you can check it very easily.
Take out the additional card for this - graphics driver are nvidia?
If the vga port is covered, just uncover it - without graphics card you should get a video signal from the internal gpu port.
If you see no bios and nothing - is the pc reacting like he's booting up?
If no, then you have a problem with the internal gpu or maybe also with the memory.
Have you tried to use only one RAM?
Have you already re-seated them?
Btw.:
>I bought a new video card ( a Nvidia Geforce210)
I don't think that the 210 will be much better than your internal one.

    Hi,
Does your PC have a discrete video card or just the on board graphics processor with a VGA connector?
If you are using a HP monitor then try a monitor reset. Unplug the monitor’s power cord and hold down the monitor’s power button for 30-60 seconds. Plug the monitor back in and power it up. check the monitor's internal source selection and make sure that it is set to VGA.
Test the monitor and cable using just VGA on another PC to ensure that those components are good.  Alternatively, use a known good monitor and VGA cable (without using adapters).
The other suggestion would be to locate a video card that is rated to work with the 250 watt power supply in your PC. There are very few video cards that are rated by the manufacturer to work with a 250 watt PC.  A new power supply and video card might be close to $100.

  • Hp pavilion elite m9690a turns off input signal randomly after boot up

I have a pavilion elite m9690 running off of windows vista which recently (there have been no changes) begun switching off all input signals to the screen. Although the pc activation light and the pc are still on it then does not respond to the mouse, keyboard or switching source from hdmi to VGA leaving no input signals to the screen. When turned off then on again it regains input signal to the screen. The timing can be during startup or as late as 15 minutes of operation. I have plugged my l laptop into the screen and this never switches off on hdmi or VGA. I have made no changes to the pc but had some issues with heat a month ago.

I have unplugged all external devices like you told avro500 to do and I did finally get it started but the computer still freezes and it is doing it more often as time goes by! I even paid HP support the $100 dollars (or around that amount) to fix it but it keep happening even after they worked on it but it was after the 7 days or what ever their policy is! They downloaded some security suites and ran their scans! They left Advanced system care, ccleaner and superantispyware on my computer and I was just wondering if they could be conflicting with my paid norton internet security? I have become very flustrated because first off I paid a lot of money for this computer and it's not even 2 years old yet and I also have paid HP a lot of money to fix it and all the guy from India could say to me was "I have been working on this computer and it hasn't froze up so the problem must be fixed!" Well it's not!! and I don't know enough to fix it myself so thats why I paid you a hundred dollars to do it for me! haha thanks for any help!

  • Would like to know the meaning of the Input Signal Channel Indicators on Denon 2311CI

The manual has no information on the meaning of these indicators on the display. For example, why is it that when I have a DVD or Apple TV as the source, the Input Signal Channel Indicators on the left side of the display show only LF and RF (left front/right front), while it shows LF, RF, C, SL and SR (left/right front, center, left/right surround) when I have my satellite box tuned to the major networks?

When you connect a device that has only stero output (not multicahnnel sound), then you will only see the standard stereo menu,  Your apple products do not output multichannel sound, at least not in the manner you have them hooked yup to the reciever.

  • Input signal out of range with HDMI to VGA adapter LE1901w

    Hi!
Recently I acquired an LE1901w monitor to use as second screen. I'm trying to connect it to my Toshiba u925 using an HDMI to VGA adapter (because neither the monitor has a HDMI port nor the notebook has a VGA output).
I'm getting the message "input signal out of range" asking to change to 1440x920 @ 60Hz and it keeps showing until the monitor goes to sleep even when I change the settings as per requested.
I have an integrated Intel HD Graphics 4000 and i'm using the default Windows monitor drivers for Windows 8.1

    Hello @fbinim,
I understand that you are getting the message "Input Signal Out Of Range" and it is asking you to change to 1440x920 @ 60 Hz. I suspect this is a driver issue and you will need to ensure that your drivers are up to date on your computer. Just to be sure I would recommend if you could to move the HP LE1901W monitor to another computer and ensure that you do not have the problem there. If you do have it on another computer The issue you are experiencing appears to be a physical issue. Please call our technical support at 800-474-6836. • I would like to tare (rezero) the input signal from a forceplate (glorified

I would like to tare (rezero) the input signal from a forceplate (glorified scale) so that the base signal is set to zero, e.g.: a button on the front panel that resets the signal to zero prior to getting a measurement from a subject.
We calibrate the force plate through labview and input our new equation into our scaling and mapping box which sets the signal to zero (or near zero) and the change in newtons (force reading) is accurate but when the application is closed and reopened the signal does not always start at zero (-400 to +1200 N), while the change in newtons is still accurate. I am NO engineer, I have Forest Gumped my way into getting some nice working VIs but I can't seem to find this function.
Thank you very much for your time.

Maybe that is the limitation of Acquire Input Data.vi.The vi can't identify the Unformal key.
You can try to use Event structure and set to listen "key down" event.
There are two terminals VKey, ScanCode will sent out the information when you press key.
There are two pictures in attached file, 2.jpg will show you the detail.
    Good luck.

  • How to create 2 output signal locked in phase from a one input signal

    Hi all,
I have a case in which I want read in a signal analog input (voltage) from a photodiode, I want to create a 2 sinewave signal locked in with same phase as the input signal and output them as analog output to my 2 laser diode. the frequency of the input signal is low aroud 15 Hz , the 2 output signal i want to be  around 120 hz and 150 hz .
I am using USB - 6003 daq card.
I have created a vi to see the input signal but I dnt know how to create 2 signal from the waveform generator locked in the phase as the input signal. I have seen a PLL vi , but dont know how to use that with my program.
can any one tell me how to proceed.

  • Input signals out of range change settings to 1440x900 - 60Hz

I bought a new HP ENVY, I am now trying to re set up my former HP pavilion ..but I keep getting this message on my monitor"Input Signals out if range. Change settings to 1440x900 - 60Hz". I can not get past this! Help!

What is the exact model of PC you have?
    What model is the monitor?
It sounds like the PC is trying to transmit the video at a resolution greater than what the monitor can support.

  • No VGA or DVI input signal

I recently found my old HP Pavilion a6228x after 2 months of not using it, and hooked it up to my  w1907 monitor with a vga cable.  It says that there is no VGA or DVI input signal, with the black arrow pointing at DVI. I can't switch from DVI to VGA because everytime I press the menu button, the screen will say "Monitor going to sleep." The monitor works fine with my laptop and the same vga cable. Help?

    Hi,
Since the monitor and cable are known to be good then make sure that you are plugging the video card into the video card's VGA port if a a video card is installed.  If the video card has a DVI port then use a native DVI cable between the monitor and the video card.
If there is a video card in your PC then try reseating it (remove and replace). If that doesn't work then remove the video card and plug the VGA cable into the motherboard's VGA port.
Only connect one active video feed to the monitor.
Try a monitor reset. Unplug the monitor’s power cord and hold down the monitor’s power button for 30-60 seconds. Plug the monitor back in and power it up.

  • How to seperate two input signals

Hi people, currently i have one input voltage signal, i would like to add another input signal which display the temp from my Arduino IDE wirelessly via serial visa configure. After doing that, i would like seperate these two signals by using data bits. Can anyone explain to me in a detailed procedures?
i will upload up the file to show the current program that i am having now. One would be the main, the other would be the SubVI file.

I can't tell you anything because you haven't shown me anything of what you are doing.
Show the subVI you've created.  How are you merging them together?  What does the data stream from your Arduino look like?  Once we know that, then it will be easy to figure out how to split them apart.
I wouldn't go so far to see you have a temp waveform and a voltage waveform.  It looks like you are just reading them a datapoint at a time.  You almost always need to have a Serial Configure when dealing with serial ports.  It doesn't matter whether you are reading both datapoints through the same serial port or just one datapoing through the serial port.

  • Why am I not getting any input signal into logic X or GarageBand from my audio interface?

    Hello all,
I'm completely new to all this so I will try my best here to give all the details needed.
So, I am using a Mac mini (2013 model: i7 overclocked at 2.6, 16 gbram) and a focusrite saffire pro 24DSP. Overall both are in perfect working order.
My problem, however, is that I am seemingly unable to get any form of signal from my saffire into either Logic X or GarageBand. I am trying to record guitar lined in and I have set all the settings in logic to what I think is right (software monitoring checked, output channels selected, saffire selected for both input and output) and I have set up my saffire mix control - I spent days reading the manual and watching online tutorials.
The saffire mix control is set up thus:
    Input 1 - instrument
    Daw 1+2 = GarageBand
    Daw 3+4 = Logic X
    Sample rate 41Khz
Master Output = stereo monitor mix (line outs 1 &2 to my monitor speakers)
    Output 3+4 headphones
    Is there anything missing here?
As far as this all goes, when I plug in my guitar I can get a very clear "raw" signal from the saffire mix control, but when I then go to set up a track in either DAW and assign the necessary line ins and outs, no matter what I do I cannot get an input signal, not even a partial one (I have the monitoring and record armed options checked btw). I am close to giving tearing my hair out.
I'm sure I am just missing something out?
    Thanks in advance :-)

I've plugged into the interface a mic and an electric guitar.
I'm not sure what I did but the guitar is coming through (though it shows no signal on the interface). Mic input level on line, mic registers a tiny bit of sound when I hit the mic (on only one channel) but doesn't register any vocals when mic input is turned up to the max.
Odd thing: stereo/mono button reversed that is when the button is pushed in it equals stereo on the head phones when it says it should be mono and when the button is left unpushed it equals mono when it says it should be stereo.
Monitor is on and volume is at max.
GB system preferences don't list Input 1 or/and 2. Where do I find them?
I've tried everything I can think of. It feels as if I just need to find the right switch but I don't know where to look...

  • No input signal (relates to Native Instruments Guitar Rig 5)

    Hi
I have scoured the net and this forum for solutions to this bizarre problem, but found nothing that solved my problem. Alos posted this question on the Native Instruments forum, but have had no replies).
    Tech details:
I have a MAC Mini 10.8.3. My audio Interface is a Steinberg UR22. I use Logic Pro 9.1.8.
I have downloaded the GR 5 demo. It shows up and loads fine in Logic. Unfortunately, however, there is no input signal at all coming through to GR. Input and output paths in both MAC and Logic are all switched correctly to Steinberg. Audio Software Monitoring is also selected in Logic Audio. I have also selected and deselected the L and R channel icons in GR with no results, still no input signal. I have swapped audio input channel on the Steinberg. The cable works and is plugged in so it's not one of those Duh! moments either.
Now the funny part: As mentioned, when I open GR inside a Logic project, I get no input signal.
However, when i go to my NU folder and open GR there, I do get an input signal. I also get the 'file' etc tabs at the top and am able to check settings etc (which of course you can't do when you open GR inside Logic). However, any changes made in GR when it is opened in the folder do not affect the GR opened inside Logic, so there is no point changing anything in the settings.
The only other strange thing is that in the GR that does have an input signal...it plays both the GR sound that is selected as well as the 'dry' guitar sound, therefore messing up the real sound.
The fact that I do get a signal in GR when I open it outside of Logic does not help me at all, I need a signal in GR inside of the Logic project so i can make a test recording.
Does anyone here have a any suggestion or tips please?

First... when a plugin is used in Logic it is not standalone, in other words, If you aren't getting signal into Logic the plugin will not receive signal on it's own, that's not the way it works. The GR demo is inserted in Logic's signal path, if the signal is not getting into logic it's not going through the GH.
Alos, Logic runs indepently from the Mac's Audio preferences, so it doesn't matter what you set the Mac's system preferences to, it's only matters how you have Logic's preferences set.
    go here:
    http://documentation.apple.com/en/logicpro/usermanual/#chapter=2%26section=0
    Read configuring your audio hardware..
Also, go here and make sure you're using the latest driver:

  • Display FFT of input signal which receive from VISA read ?

    Hi.
I receive data from MCU whcih sampling frequency is constant and we assumed it is S. now I get data from MCU with using VISA read block. I can display data, perform some functios like filtering, multiply and save them in txt files. all thing is OK.
but when I want to see FFT of incomig data on chart , it doesn't work !! I use this VI for calculate and display FFT of input signal (from VISA read) and display it which in Y-Axis is magnitude and X-Axis is frequency.
in your mind why this is not work and what I must done for show input signal FFT and frequency components ?
    Thanks.

If I understood this correctly, you are getting the correct results when outputting to a text file but you are not able to see the results when trying to output to a chart?

  • Monitor does not come on due to no input signal. Monitor is hp w2207. Hp media center pc m 260 N.

Desktop PC is connected correctly but monitor indicates no input signal & monitor goes to sleep mode. All my wireless laptops work ok. Does this have anything to do with wireless setup?

Although it appears the computer model name is incomplete, I assume you mean a HP Media Center m260n Desktop Computer. Here are the specs for your HP Pavilion w2207 LCD wide-screen flat panel monitor. The computer supports VGA only, unless you have previously installed an 8x AGP graphics card. The monitor supports both VGA and DVI-D.
The first step in troubleshooting this issue would be to connect the monitor to a known working computer using the same VGA cable. Does the monitor work??? Yes... could be the computer, No... could be the monitor or the cable. Next, connect the computer to another known working monitor with the same VGA cable. Does the monitor display a picture??? Yes, computer is good, No... computer or cable  is bad. Post the results if you need more assistance.
