AMD USB 3.0 driver:

Realtek Card Reader:

Download the third AMD Chipset driver from this link for the SMBus:
http://support.amd.com/en-us/download/chipset?os=Windows
You might want to do that one first as it will also contain the USB 3.0 driver.

  • HP Pavilion TouchSmart 15-b153cl Sleekbook USB 3.0

I've just downgraded from windows 8.1 to windows 7 64 bit.
I can't find the correct drivers for the USB 3.0 controller or the Wired NIC Card.
    Please Help.

    Hi:
You need to install the AMD chipset driver first and reboot.  You want the first file listed.
    http://support.amd.com/en-us/download/chipset?os=Windows 7 - 64
Then install these two drivers for the USB 3.0:
    http://h20565.www2.hp.com/portal/site/hpsc/template.PAGE/public/psi/swdDetails/?sp4ts.oid=5359417&sp...
    http://h20565.www2.hp.com/portal/site/hpsc/template.PAGE/public/psi/swdDetails/?sp4ts.oid=5359417&sp...
Then according to the parts list for your model, you need to install this driver for the wireless card.

  • Overclock Pavilion Touchsmart 15-b153nr, processor up to 2.4 GHz??

Hello, I currently own the HP Pavilion Touchsmart 15-b153nr laptop and the descriptions on all the websites it's listed on says the processor speed is 1.6 GHz up to 2.4 GHz AMD Quad-Core A8-4555M Accelerated Processor. Does this mean the laptop can be overclocked to 2.4 GHz? If so, how would I go about doing that? Thanks.

That is turbo boost done by the system itself automatically. It's an Accelerated Processor - APU.
    You can't overclock it.

  • HP Pavilion G6 1006sh external display doesn't work with Windows 8.1

    Hi All,
After performing a clean install of Windows 8.1 Professional on my Pavilion G6 1006sh I can not use my external Samsung monitor connected on HDMI port.
The windows install went smoothly without any issues the OS had builtin drives for all of the devices. So there is no unknown hardware in device manager there is sound, wifi, LAN, etc. As for video card I can see two different devices. There is a Generic Windows VGA and there is an AMD Radeon HD 7400M installed. The AMD Catalyst software was installed successfully. In windows graphic properties I can choose from two different video outputs, one is the General Windows VGA the other one is the Radeon. However windows detects monitor connected only on General VGA (which is the inbuilt notebook display) and nothing on Radeon so I can not use my external monitor.
Of course I tried to restart laptop / monitor many times, unplug / plug HDMI cable but no success. When I plug HDMI cable into laptop the monitor displays a message that it is connected but there is no incoming signal. The HDMI port both on monitor and laptop is working I used the same configuration with Windows 7 x64 Professional without any issues. It is only the operating system that changed.
I tried to remove the General VGA device in order to force using Radeon but after restarting there was nothing displayed on the screen, I couldn't see anything neither on inbuilt nor on external monitor so I had to restore a previously saved system configuration.
I tired to install the latest graphic driver to Radeon downloaded from AMD site but Windows crashed and restarted during the install process.
Please help me with this issue or make a statement that this version of Windows is not supported on this machine so I have to revert the previous system.
    Configuration:
modell: HP Pavilion G6 1006 SH
    RAM: 2x4 GB
OS: Windows 8.1 Professional x64 (HUN)
OS drivers: installed and updated automatically by windows
    Antivirus: Symantec Endpoint Protection 12.1
    Thanks,

    Hi there @nzole
Welcome to the HP Support Forums! It is a great place to find the help you need, both from other users, HP experts and other support personnel.
I understand that you installed Windows 8.1 onto your system, but now you cannot detect an external monitor with HDMI. I am happy to help you with this.
First, in answer to your question, this model is not supported for windows 8.1. It was only sold in versions that were configured for Windows 7.  That would mean there are no drivers specifically customized by HP for this model for Windows 8.1.  It is possible you could find an appropriate drive from a model that does support Windows 8.1 that may be close enough in terms of hardware, that its driver could work, but there is no guarantee.
Here is the support page for your model:  HP Pavilion g6-1006sh Notebook PC

Do you still have the Recovery partitions, or did you make a set of recovery disks, prior to installing Windows 8.1?

  • Is the USB Superdrive compatible with Windows?

    Hi all,
I have a Retina MacBook Pro and needed to install Windows today (using Paralells but I'm not sure this matters in this case).
I went to a Mac shop and was about to buy a USB Superdrive before the assistant assured me that Apple has totally locked down the firmware so it won't work with Windows.
I find this to be unlikely, considering OSX ships with Bootcamp with the intention of people running Windows it seems bizarre that Apple expect these folks to go without a CD drive.
Can anyone shed any light on this please?
    Thanks

Hmm, in that case I may need to consult with the Paralells guys as that is what I would be using in this instance. I wonder if it works with a straight up Windows machine.
    Thanks

    Hi,
Have you also tried to disable power management on wireless network connection adapter? Since some OEM computers also combine some features of Bluetooth to wireless network connection adapter.
This issue can be mostly caused by drivers. Please contact the menufacturer's to see if the latest driver is compatible with Windows 8.1.
If not, I suggest you find the driver for Windows 8 /7 and install it in compatible mode in Windows 8.1 to see what's going on.
Also, post back the C:\Windows\Inf\setupapi.dev.log and event log you can find in event viewer related to this issue here for our research.

  • Envy TouchSmart m6-k025dx Sleekbook Win 8 recovery with totally messed up hard drive?

I made a recovery flash drive when I first got my Envy. Now, after totally messing up the hard drive and being unable to recover Windows 8 (not 8.1) with the flash drive, I've reformatted the drive and loaded the Windows 10 Tech Preview (which seems to be working quite well). However, Tech Previews don't last forever, and I'd really like to get back Win 8. I still have the recovery flash drive, but there's obviously a problem with the recovery image.
Does anyone know if a generic recovery image is available anywhere?
    TIA

    Hi there @RockDoctor,
and welcome to the HP Support Forums!
Since you say that your recovery media is not good, you can always try to get it direct from HP.
Obtaining HP Recovery Discs or an HP USB Recovery Drive
Also you can look at this if you have not removed the HP_tools partition:
Performing an HP System Recovery (Windows 8)
Troubleshooting HP System Recovery Problems (Windows 8)
Creating a Recovery Image on Discs or Saving a Recovery Image to a USB Flash Drive (Windows 8)

  • HP Sleekbook 15 - Touchpad Synaptics with Windows 10

Hello everyone! I'll try to be as brief as possible. Yesterday I upgraded from Win 8.1 to Win 10 on my Hp Pavilion Sleekbook 15; everything seems to work pretty fine, except for the touchpad Synaptics. At first Win10 start I noticed the scrolling was inverted (Mac style), and the icon of Synaptics  touchpad had disappeared from the tray. Not a big issue: I go to the settings and as usual, disable the "Inverted Scrolling" and enable the icon back to the tray. It works like a charm and I think I've sorted it out. However, after rebooting the icon disappeared again from the tray and my touchpad is inverted again. For how much I try, it always comes back to defaults after rebooting. Activating/deactivating the touchpad, as well as unistalling and re-installing updated drivers didn't solve the issue. So I open regedit, to try and edit the strings manually. The "TrayIcon" string was easy to find: value changed from "0" to "1" and the icon magically appears and stays forever in the tray. The inverted axe is driving me crazy. I couldn't find any string regarding the inverted scrolling, and the only way to change it is manually at each time I restart my laptop. Can anyone help with this? I think the only ways to solve this would be either change the correspondat string in regedit (to keep it uninverted forever like with the icon in the tray) or change something else in order to make changes memorized after rebooting. Any help is appreciated!! Thank you very much!

Quick update folks. Thanks to the link I temporary solved the issue! I've downgraded my touchpad driver, from version 19 to 18. Here's the link: http://support.hp.com/ee-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-envy-15-u300-x360-convertible-pc/7771362/model/8255118#Z7_3054ICK0K8UDA0AQC11TA930O2 Now settings remain saved after rebooting too. Thanks to all! Hopefully they'll fix it with the next update. Mike

  • Ipad4 connection MTP USB device error with Windows 7 64 bit

I have recently bought iPad 4. When I connected to my computer through USB running Windows 7 Professional 64 bit  i got the following error message
"MTP USB Device  failed to install"
    Please guige me

Hello lwalbring and welcome to the Palm forums.
Your Visor, as you suspect, does not have Bluetooth, so you must use the IR HotSync option.  Since you are using Windows 7 64-bit, I believe that you are going to have to upgrade to Palm Desktop 6.2.2 to make things work from an OS/Driver perspective.
Since you are using such an old device, you are also going to have to download and install the PalmHotSyncSetup Utility from Pimlico.  This update turns on support for old Palm OS PDAs in Palm Desktop 6.2.2.  Without the update, you won't be able to sync your Visor with Palm Desktop 6.2.2.  The software is free and the link is all the way at the bottom of the screen.
Lastly, if your PC doesn't have an IR port on it, you will need to purchase a USB to IR adapter.  Some laptops still have IR ports and most desktops don't.
Once you have all the pieces, you'll want to go back to the Windows 7 and Vista HotSync thread again, and follow the directions for setting up and configuring IR HotSyncs.

  • TouchSmart 610z CyberLink Media Library Service issue with Windows Home Server Connector

After unboxing and configuring my TouchSmart 610z PC at one point I noticed that they TouchSmart "Photo" app stopped working.  Whenever I launched the app, I would get an error message stating that "Cyberlink MediaLibrary Service has stopped".
I called HP support and after trying several things, the rep advised me to do a full system recovery (Factory Defaults).   After the recovery, I started configuring (installing software and tweaking settings) and at some point the same thing happened again.  I tried to go back to various system restore points, but once the problem starts ocurring, it persists.
After another fully system recovery, I started installing/configuring things 1-by-1 and testing the Photo app after each step (VERY time-consuming).  Finally I discovered that the "Windows Home Server Connector" software is what seems to cause the problem.  The connector itself works as intended, but there seems to be some conflict with the TouchSmart Photo app that causes the error message to appear/persist.   For what it's worth, my Home Server is an HP MediaSmart Server EX475.
Anyone successfully connect their TouchSmart 610 to their home server and successfully run the TouchSmart Photo App?
Seems like this might be a bug of some sorts.

I see some message about a proxy. Have you checked that you can use the proxy from you network?
If not you should turn the proxy off.

  • How do I create a Mountain Lion USB bootable disc with Windows 7?

Hi all. Long story short, my 11-month-old MacBook Pro suffered a failed hard drive the other day. Took it to the Genius Bar and they offered to replace it for free under warranty, but won't give me back the old drive so that I can take it to a data recovery specialist and retrieve my files. I'm considering just purchasing a new SSD myself and installing that so that I can keep the old drive and take it in for data recovery. But how do I create a boot disk on my Windows 7 machine? I was fortunate enough to back up the dmg for 10.8.4, but I don't know what to do with it! I have a 15GB flash drive already, just need to know how to go about it so I can install a fresh OS on the new hard drive.
    Thanks!

Instead of trying to burn Mountain Lion on Windows, Mid 2010 and newer MacBooks Pro have Internet Recovery > http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4718 This allows you to reinstall OS X even if your hard drive has nothing.
Hold Command, Option (Alt) and R keys while your Mac is starting and you will be asked for a network. Then, follow the steps to reinstall OS X. You may have to format the hard drive > http://pondini.org/OSX/DU1.html
