HP Pavillion 11 X360 Doesn't start, Blank Screen

Hello,
I am using HP Pavilion 11-n010en x360 PC and all of a sudden I started my pc and it never went ON. I opened the back cover, unplug the battery, hard power off, took off the ram and put back. Nothing is happening. There is just a white colored LED light by Power button and no charger issues. But there is no Screen. It is blank screen. Do not feel any movement in anything at all. Please suggest me Solution.

  • Satellite L350D-200 doesn't start - blank screen

    Just like similar cases:
Switch on, hear the HD spinning, nothing else, screen stays blank, no BIOS
    Checked with external monitor
Removed battery AC for > 1 hour, doesn't help.
No SW/HW updates I'm aware off (other then the automatic updates)
Looks like a HW failure -> ASP?

    Hi!
    > Looks like a HW failure -> ASP?
    Yes, it seems so! :(
Im not a notebook technician but you have all done what you can do: Removing battery for one hour and checked with an external monitor.
For me it sounds like a hardware malfunction
The Satellite L350 is a new notebook and I assume your notebook is still under warranty. So the repair should be for free.
I think its the best way because the notebook technician can check every hardware part of the notebook to determine what is causing this issue.

  • MacBook Pro, randomly Windows 7 doesn't start and screen goes blank

Hi, I installed Windows 7 (Ultimate 64-bit) using the BootCamp on my MacBook Pro (MBP) i7, mid 2010. Installation was successful without any issues. This is my first Mac and, for now, I primarily use Windows on my MBP. The problem: After selecting Windows OS, randomly, Windows doesn't start and the screen goes blank. When this happens, most of the time I have to press the power button twice and press the Option key again to restart in Windows. Sometimes I have to hold down power button for several seconds to turn off MBP, then power it back on to start over. Windows 7 seems to restart on second try every time.
I can tell when the screen will go blank and Windows will not start, when the blinking cursor does not appear on upper left corner of the screen. Also, I enabled Windows OS Boot Log and nothing displays when this happens.
I took in my MBP, twice, to local Apple store Genius Bar and I was told that it was a Windows problem and I must purchase AppleCare Protection Plan to get help resolving the blank screen. It was explained to me that AppleCare had Windows experts who can help with resolving the issue. Therefore I purchased the AppleCare Protection Plan and spoke to AppleCare directly and still no resolution.
Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

There is a forum specifically for Boot Camp, this is a general MBP forum and most of us don't use Boot Camp or Windows. The link to that forum is:
    http://discussions.apple.com/category.jspa?categoryID=237
Apple does support Boot Camp however if your problem is with Windows Apple does not support a Microsoft product. You would need to contact Microsoft for help.

  • IPhone won't start - blank screen

unable to power-up iPhone... blank screen!

Did you try to reset the phone by holding the sleep and home button until the Apple logo comes back again?
Does it still charge if you use the adapter? If yes, let it charge for 10min, then connect in recovery mode, if resetting did not work. Recovery mode is explained in this article: iPhone and iPod touch: Unable to restore

  • MBP 2,16ghz: Doesnt start (Blank screen)

    Hi! i've a MBP 2.16ghz core2duo.
My problem is that if i shut it down and then start it again it wont boot.
It will spin up the harddriva and the fans. But it only shows a blank(black) screen.
I've tried the SMC reset and PRAM reset but it doesnt help.
I think it could be a sensor problem or so, because if i let it "cool down" for a while it will start and then i can restart it directly after until it gets warm.
But if i get it to start then i can work in MacOSX for hours and hours without any problem until i restart it, then it wont boot.
And then the same if i let it cool down for a while it will start.
I've checked the temps with "Temperature monitor" and none of them seems very hot.

I took the non optical drive MBP into Genius Bar at Apple Bridgewater, NJ. The guy was very well trained in how to make a logic board crash seem normal. It was applaudable. Seriously. Really good service. "Mind if I plug this into our system?", "Hmm, Let me try this drive" "Well, it did get on our system, let me run this diagnostic". "Look, your hard drive is there, that's a good sign".
Me "Yes, but what is that red check mark next to power + - 5 volts?"
Him, "Yes, do mind if I take this in the back and look inside?"
    Me, "Sure".
On his return," So the inside looks very clean, no problems there but this looks like it  might be something that we would like to send to our repair facility in Tennessee. You see, if we put in one part and it doesn't fix it, we'd have to wait for another one. So we like to send these to a place that has all of the parts"
I got it back in 4 days. New logic board, new SSD. Ah, the joys.
Thanks for the responses, especially the SMC info and the PRAM reminder.

  • Tecra 8200 wont start (blank screen)

    Hi.
A friend of mine has asked me to help her with Tecra 8200 her notebook with WinXP/SP1 installed was sluggish. Being a gentleman, Ive accepted a call, and reinstalled WinXP Pro (originally, this model was shipped with Win98SE). Installation went right, but Ive noticed error entries in System Log regarding BIOS ACPI compliance (once, each time upon machine startup). I continued, installed SP1, successfully, but the ACPI problem remained. Everything else was fine (all HW detected, and appropriate (Microsoft/default) drivers installed). I was thinking of checking for a new BIOS release on Toshibas site, but I left BIOS update procedure for some other occasion.
Then, being intrigued with a problem, I have "cleverly" decided to actually test ACPI, so I put notebook in standby. And, that was it: now, machine doesnt want to start! The screen is blank, HDD is not spinning up, CPU fan is silent Power button is operational, but all I get is Power LED lit up Frustrating! I have tried to revive the machine with standard emergency procedure (switching off, and then back on, taking out battery pack, pressing various key combinations to enter BIOS setup) but accomplished NOTHING.
Searching posted notes on this forum, I have come only to one conclusion: "hardware malfunction take your notebook to ASP".
Is there anything else I could try?
    Thnks, in advance.

    Hi Igor
All you tried was right but if there is no possibility to enter BIOS something is obviously faulty.
Sorry but it can really be some hardware problem.

  • Macbook doesn't start no screen

I have a 2007 black macbook that will not boot.
Symptoms: when i hit the power button, screen flashes then goes black.  Light on front illuminates - solid white.  I can hear the fans inside but not much more.  The computer remains in this state - no change at all.  I hear no beeps at all when I start.
    This is what I tried:
    1. I performed a number of tests to reset the firmware - held button for 10 secs, removed battery and lugged I power to reset etc
    2. I removed all memory to see if anything different happens - nothing
    3. I removed the hard drive - nothing again
    4. I attempted to try to reboot from the CD/DVD drive - drive doesn't accept my disc at all.
Not sure what the next possible troubleshooting steps I can take.
    Any tips/suggestions much appreciated.
    Thanks

Thanks for the suggestion.  Nothing on the screen with a flashlight.  The computer is not booting up - I can't even insert a boot disk to try that.  Not sure if the firmware, or whatever drives it has started up.

  • [SOLVED DUE TO MAJOR STUPIDITY]X doesn't start

I did a pacman -Syu to upgrade the xf86-video-intel,xorg-server,xf86-input-synaptics,libgl,mesa,intel-dri.
Previously I had self compiled xorg-server 1.6 RC running.
After update (I didn't update anything else, had newer kernel already running)
    xorg doesn't start (black screen)
    /var/log/Xorg.0.log is old.
    I removed /var/log/Xorg.* and restarted X
Went to check Xorg.0.log... and there is no such file. Xorg doesn't produce log file.
    I'm puzzled. I have Intel x3100 (GL 965)

    Grrr!
/me bangs his head against the wall....
For some reason I had removed xorg-server and xf86-video-intel (and apparently the later doesn't require xorg-server) so I ended up without xorg, hence no log...
xorg-server dependence to some packages should be added, I think to avoid people like me doing VERY stupid things...

If there is no loading bar, it's usually a problem with a third party kext file in OS X itself.
You can press the power button down to force a hardware shutdown, then reboot holding the shift key down on a wired or built in keyboard, this will disable them and you go around and update your third party software.
Gray, Blue or White screen at boot, w/spinner/progress bar
Also take this time to backup your users files off the machine if possible.

Sometime that won't work and you need to do more

If your MBP is under warranty, bring it to an Apple store and have the technicians fix it.  If not, try the steps in this support article:

  • Chromium doesn't start and suspend, shutdown don't work occassionally

    Hello,
I have this problem on my laptop but since chromium doesn't start on my desktop either, I don't think it's specific to laptops.
When I try to start chromium in a terminal, I get a blank window (I can tell because I use spectrwm):
ATTENTION: default value of option force_s3tc_enable overridden by environment.
[25148:25148:0215/130205:ERROR:background_mode_manager_aura.cc(14)] Not implemented reached in virtual void BackgroundModeManager::EnableLaunchOnStartup(bool)
I temporarily resorted to using Firefox instead, but at times it just freezes up while opening some pages. After that point, even killing firefox doesn't help: the system load level keeps on rising. I used pidof to check if firefox is still running, but I had no output from pidof. After having firefox to freeze, shutdown, suspend, etc don't work. The laptop goes to a black screen state, but the power LED remains on indefinitely.
These might be two separate issues, but they started together on my laptop.
    Thanks in advance!
