HP Pavillion dv7-6b86us - Loss of sound with new updates

I just recieved this laptop this week. I updated the software as recommended by the HP Support Assistant. I have now lost all sound to my laptop. I have tried recovering back to the time before I updated and it did not work. I have tried multiple methods to try and recover my sound to no avail. Is this a driver problem or a possible corroded audio card? What do I need to do to try and get my audio back up?

Thanks for your help. Deleting and reinstalling the driver fixed the problem!

    Download the full version of the software then shift click the restore button. This will ask you where the firmware files are. Once you point to the firmware then you can install the official version

  • With new update the script subMSO doesn't work anymore.

    I have a problem... In my folios (interactive comics) i have nested MSO..  MSO (1) with another MSO (2) in it and again in MSO (2) there is another MSO (3) and so on...

    All work fine with previews release on dps desktop tool and content viewer 23 24.
    But with new update the button inside Sub-MSOs doesn't work.

    I guess that it just had a bad connecting port on the phone itself, no clue why it wouldn't work when plugged in both ways other than there is actually some differentiating between the two sides.

    I am trying to identify a problem with my HP Pavillion dv7 laptop
    Several months ago it started getting hot and showing messages about problems with the internal fan and battery. It would say enter = shutdown and shut off. I suspected a bad battery so I checked it without it just plugging it in with the power cable. It seemed to work better so I assumed that was the problem.
    I ordered a new battery and it worked for a while. The problem came back and is getting worse. I can run it without the battery for a while but it gets got and shows the same message.
    I read on here that flashing and updating the bios worked for some but the latest update gives me an error IHISI not support BIOS then Insyde flash not supported.
    any help would be great this PC has a lot of info on it and I dont think it is a lost cause

    Have you tried this?- Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.

    I have been trying manually with a registry program to list every item related to "Creative tech" and "creative" and then deleted the keys that sounds like?i can trust, its risky i know, the proper uninstallation-process?remains broken so i guess i have failed to completley uninstall yes

  • With new updates from Acrobat Read my computer freezes and I can not fill in forms anymore, how do I fix these problems?

    After updating Acrobat Reader my computer now freezes when I try to fill in forms using Acrobat Reader, this never happen before! Now the only way to unfreeze my computer is to turn it off and restart it, which is not how a computer is suppose to be turned off as nothing responses to get it unfrozen(ESC., Contol-Alt-Delete)! The I shows up as if I am able to fill in forms, but after trying to fill in the form numerous times various ways, it always ends up freezing my computer up! I HATE THE NEW UPDATES! Why can't I speak with a live human, through Adobe? I would not want to buy anything from any company which would not allow me support by talking to a live human over the phone, as typing messages can be misunderstood! Their is no point to have Acrobat Reader any more if it does not allow me to fill in forms! I could use the reader that came with the computer! It is sad that for myself filling forms using Acrobat Reader was nice since there are times I am unable to write anything due to tremors, unfortunately I am not alone in this type of medical problem and we the disabled the majority of us are on Social Security! Everyone know that Social Security does not give their recipients enough money to live off of! It is sad when a person is ill they lose more than their livelihood, so called friends abandon you too! So how can I fix the freezing problems and is there any Adobe that I can fill in forms which will not cost me money and or another company that may offer this free of charge?

  • Problems with new update of Numbers for Maverick

    When opening any of my documents creted on a alder version of Numbers, I lose the format that I had on the page. The table or spreadsheet stays intact, but no the document perse. Where is the "Show Print View" feature on the new update of Numbers. I am frustrated and disappointed with the new changes, since I had to recreate all the spreadsheets that I had for my personal use and work.

  • Bugs with New/Updated content icons

    In the "My Subscriptions" page, there are two problems with the update icons on the left. Unless someone can prove me wrong or explain how this actually works, these look like bugs to me.
    When I list my subscriptions I see that some have the half blue icon. I understand that that is the "Updated" icon (as opposed to the "New content" icon) as the sole definition of what the icons mean is at the bottom of each post page and it clearly states:
    [Solid blue]: New content since your last visit
    [Half blue]: Updated content since your last visit
    When I click on a thread flagged with the half blue icon (from My Subscriptions) I expect to see that one or more posts have been updated, however *none of the post have the half blue icon*. This is problem #1.
    Once in the thread I do see one or more posts with the solid blue icon. Here's my second problem: if blue means "New content since your last visit" *why am I seeing posts for the second time flagged with the solid blue dot* ?

    In the instance you give, it is because the TOPIC has been updated (half-blue) with a new (solid blue) POST. IIRC, when some one EDITs of of their posts then you may see the half-blue dot for that post.
    Ah, I was right, I just edited this post and it had a half-blue dot.

    I downloaded the new update as i have a ipod touch 2G! i have it on my ipod now however i am unable use any of the apps apart from the mail, safari etc that are standard!! what am i to do???

    app crashing is very common.
    1) try downloading another app (any app) - sounds daft but it has worked in the past
    2) try a reset as listed: http://www.apple.com/support/ipodtouch/troubleshooting/
