    Hi
Usually if you have a wireless switch your notebook should have a wireless LAN card too. In your case I would try installing the driver. Then the WLAn card should be displayed in device manager properly:
    http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com > Support & Downloads > Download Drivers
If this doesnt work you can try a BIOS update.
Are you running factory settings or have you installed your own Windows version?

  • Just boot camped mid-2012 MBP using Apple's BootCamp 5.1.5621. However, no wireless adapter is listed in device manager

[In Windows 8.1] When I access the Device Manager, it does not list my wireless adapter as one of the devices available. I have attempted to manually install the drivers from the BootCamp 5.1.5621 file.
I've spent several hours attempting to remedy this but have only found threads explaining how to solve the problem if the 802 adapter is already listed in the device manager.

I recently had some BT issue's in Win8 so I wrote a topic about this subject. Maybe you need to replace the Broadcom drivers as well.

  • My hp pavilion dv6-6c13cl entertainment notebook pc - webcam not found in device manager.

I am a technician working on this unit for a neighbor, and it is having some issues. She has kept this unit in very good condition, never been dropped and has functioned very well. Recently she went to use voice chat on facebook as she has several times in the past and it told her it couldn't find a webcam. I tried the youcam software and it also said no webcam detected. I have tried to update devices, run all updates from HP, pulled the battery and power cord and held power button for 10 seconds and hooked it back up, reformatted and reinstalled fresh....nothing seems to work, do you have any other solutions? I see it is under warrantly so I'm not going to take it apart and make physical repairs as I do not wish to void her warranty.

    Hi geraldnpatty,
Take a look at this document, which provides troubleshooting steps for the webcam not being listed in Device Manager.  Hopefully, this will take care of the issue.  If not and it's still in warranty, I'd suggest calling in.
Please let me know if this helps.

  • Keyboard wireless key not working after upgrading to windows 8.1

    Hello,
I am having hp pavilion dv6-6165tx notebook, where keyboard having a wireless button that turns ON and OFF all wireless devices, After upgrading to windows 8.1, HP Connection Manager is not getting installed, as well as Key is not working, key color turns red and white but no action is performed.
    Kindly suggest me some solution.
Note: HP Doesn't provide drivers for windows 8/8.1 ONLY WINDOWS 7 for hp pavilion dv6-6165tx.
    Thanks.

    Hi @Jayesh_Bhadja ,
Thank you for visiting the HP Support Forums and Welcome. I have looked into your issue about your HP Pavilion dv6-6165tx Notebook and the Wireless keyboard not working correctly. Here is a link to troubleshoot the keyboard.
The HP Connection Manager is something that is for Windows 7 not Windows 8.1. I would uninstall this from your Notebook.  Here is a link to the HP Support Assistant if you need it. Just download and run the application and it will help with the software and drivers on your system that need updating. It has a troubleshooting tool in this.
Make sure all your updates have been completed. I would try restarting my Notebook a few times.
If that does not help I would uninstall the keyboard from the Device manager.
    Thanks.

  • Apple wireless mouse not working in Windows 7

I have Windows 7 loaded in Boot Camp and, for the most part, it works perfectly.
However, neither my Magic Mouse nor my Super Drive work ... at least, not immediately.  My wireless Apple keyboard works perfectly and instantly, but my mouse only works after around a half hour after Windows opens and I haven't gotten the drive to work yet.
    Any suggestions?
    I'm flying a new iMac, 2.7 GHz Core i5, 16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3, running Mountain Lion.

I had the exact same problem as you did (less the drive) Kybd ok mouse didn't work, after installing Updates for Win 7 (about 100+ lol) then my BT kybd stopped working
In the Bootcamp Discussions there is a post about that. The post I didn't bookmark (i will from now on) but I followed this instruction posted (I copied & pasted to Notes)
"Control Panel > Device Manager > Network Adapters > Broadcom 802.11n Network Adapter (right click and choose "Properties". Under the "Advanced" tab, highlight the setting named "Bluetooth Collaboration", then change it to Enable. Then click OK."
After that wasn't working yet so, I went to start menu selected Devices & Printers...(if I recall), in the window selected "Magic Mouse icon (it was always showing but not working)  right click & selected "Properties"  for Magic Mouse, don't remember which tab it was but a driver was listed I checked it and clicked ok after a couple of minutes both the BT mouse and kybd worked and hasn't stopped since.
Sorry for lack of precise instruction, not exactly a techie, but can handle myself somewhat in front of a screen & kybd.
Hope this helps, it did for me, good luck

  • »HP 14-d008au Notebook PC drivers not found. wifi device not working on ws 8.1

recently I install windows 8.1 but unfortunatly I couldn't found my drivers on hp s website. my bluetooth and wifi system is not working. pls help me

    Hi:
HP is aware of the drivers missing from the support pages issue and is working on resolving it.
It is affecting hundreds of notebook models.
Since I don't work for HP, I do not know when the sites will be operational again.
This has happened once before, so hopefully they learned from past experience how to troubleshoot the problem.
With the Thanksgiving holiday in the United States, that has delayed things, I'm sure.
We are on the fourth day of this problem.
Please take the following steps so I can figure out what model wireless card your notebook uses...
Go to the device manager and click on the Network Controller needing drivers.
Then click on the Details tab at the top of the network controller window.
Now you see a Property drop down list and it is defaulted to Device Description.
Drop down on that list and select the third item (Hardware ID's).
Post the top string of characters you see in the window that start with PCI\VEN:

    Hi @Cynthia0
I understand that you have no audio device showing up in device manager.  I am happy to help you with this.
Please post the full product number for your notebook. See the following, if you need help with that information.
How Do I Find My Model Number or Product Number?
Once I have that, I can find the proper driver and support page for you.
For now check through this page: Resolving No Sound or Audio Problems (Windows Vista)

  • [SOLVED kinda]Yet another Broadcom wireless problem - scanning

Use an old Gateway laptop with a wireless card to provide internet through NAT to my desktop computer that isn't nearby my switch.  I was doing this for the longest time using WinXP on the Gateway, but since all my other computers are now running linux, I figured, hey, why not put a really sleek and sexy copy of Arch onto the Gateway, and free up some of that HD space for easier file sharing between the desktop and the rest of the network.  So I installed Arch, and have run head first into how much Arch and Broadcom wireless devices do not play well together.  Have spent all my time since then searching the forums, the wiki, etc, but to no avail.  So going to just go ahead and finally make my own call for help via the forums here.
I've only ever ONCE seen a scan find a wireless network, and that was after my first reboot after installing arch.  That was the only time. There are at all times 2-4 wireless networks in range of this computer.  I'm currently on my netbook running Ubuntu to post this (typing everything in by hand, ugh), and can see 4 networks right now.  The Arch laptop can't find any.
To start off with:  I have read the wikis.  I have searched the forums.  I HAVE INSTALLED THE FIRMWARE.  I've checked to make sure my card is supported, and the driver it uses is the b43, and is not supposed to be compatible with the wl driver.  This is the cardbus Linksys WPC54G v1 card.  I know the card itself works.
Here's the various data I'm sure will be requested of me at one point or another.  This is all taken immediately after booting.
What can I try.  I've probably already tried it, but I'm willing to walk through step by step with someone if they think they can help.

How about any need to blacklist when you need b43. Anything suspicious around in lsmod?
with b43, you can see me previous lsmod on the original post.
with b43legacy, the only related things I see from lsmod are b43legacy, mac80211, cfg80211, and ssb.
    Wait.  Hmmm....
    rmmod b43
    modprobe b43legacy
    rmmod b43legacy
    modprobe b43
    lsmod |grep b43
Now bcma is showing up.  But it didn't before.  It just started showing up with b43 since I did the compat-wireless package.  But seeing as I'm getting scans SOMETIMES now, I hesitate to call it a problem.  Maybe?
    Any other ideas?
It can scan ONCE.  The b43 driver is obviously functional at least for a bit.
Standard network service, wicd, netcfg, etc, I've tried them all.  Reinstalled from scratch twice.  Looking for NEW ideas basically.  I've read just about every single post about every broadcom chipset out there.  I just happen to have one of these rare ones apparently.

  • Broadcom Wireless Driver starting slow in Windows 7

I have a late 2009 MBP 13.3" and it has worked great, both with OS X (Snow Leopard) and Windows 7 since August. Recently, the Windows drivers for the Broadcom Wireless chip have decided to start slowly... when I turn it on nowadays the wireless drivers seem to have some sort of "delay" when starting, where the pc is ready but I have to Idle it for like a minute for it to start the Wireless Ethernet... tried reinstalling the drivers (uninstalling them first of course) but it still has that delay, do you have any idea on what to do?

Let me tell you that Broadcom really ***** on BCM43XX driver for windows. I've spent five days on this and changed four wireless routers, nothing improved.
I use Macbook Air and the wireless adapter is shown as Broadcom 802.11n Adapter in Windows XP. It works very well in MAC OS, but in Windows XP, it only works fine for first ten or thirty minutes, and then lost connection frequently.
By ping 192.168.1.1 (generally for most routers), the feedback "Request time out" also comes up.
The intersting thing is that if I tried 802.11n wireless routers, it "Requst time out" at the very beginning. When using old routers like 802.11g protocal, it works quite all right and lost connection two hours later, and re-connected again, again and again.
    Take a look at
    http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=226016
    for more information.
I think we need to push Broadcom and Apple to update drivers for Windows.

i installed it using instruction on the wiki, and it works fine,
se i have the problem of interfaces swapping every time, i read the solution in the wiki.
But it seems to don't work.
In fact i edited the file /etc/udev/rules.d/10-network.rules

    SUBSYSTEM=="net", ATTR{address}=="00:21:00:9b:3c:6d", NAME="eth0"

Maybe the rule should have the executable flag set?

  • No network and Broadcom wireless card

I'm new to Solaris OS, and I installed Solaris 10 with no network since I'm using a broadcom wireless card. Before installing Solaris10 on this box I had Ubuntu running on it and was able to use the ndiswrapper for the broadcom card.
But... I'm a bit lost now since I installed solaris 10 with no network at all. So my question is, how do I create a new network and get my broadcom card installed?

Solaris is a great OS... welcome to the fold.
First, Broadcom is not a good choice for any alternative OS including Solaris but OpenSolaris does have drivers despite Broadcom's lack of cooperation with other operating systems. I do suggest staying away from this vendor because of their "closed" nature of driver support.
That being said, the HCL at http://www.sun.com/bigadmin/hcl/ can help. As well as Linux and others. While vendors like Broadcom are closed, others are not.
My favorite has been Intel 82557, 82558, 82559-controllers, I bought a bunch of them dirt cheap years back knowing they were supported with Linux, BSD and Solaris. They work well in pairs too, use then for firewalls.
The best thing we can do is only buy hardware that works with all OSes.
