HP Pavillion G6 laptop wont turn on or charge - battery light blinks three times - SOLVED

Ok So I was using my laptop on a regular basis. I shut it down the night prior by using the start shut down menu option. The next morning I went to turn it on and nothing. I did though see the side white light by the Ac adaptor plug in blink three times. I decided to purchase a new charger via ebay(8.99). I plugged it in and nothing. So i started reading different threads to help me fix this issue. I did not see,read or find anything that truly helped me figure out what it could be so upon further research I came across this link in the HP site: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?cc=us&dlc=en&docname=c01732674&lc=en&product=5242926&tmp... This helped me figure out what the light meant.. Hopefully it can help others who may have this same issue.
So bottom line I did a battery reset. I unplugged every thing from my laptop(battery charger, mouse, etc) I took my battery out of the computer, (pushed in the circle black rubber button (on the back left of my laptop where the seam is) then held down the power button for about 30 seconds then put my battery back into my laptop plugged my new charger in and thus far the battery is charging and the white light is staying on to show a current charging in progress.. Hope this helps anyone else!

Try removing the battery and start it up that way and also do a hard reset which means remove the battery and with no AC adapter connected hold down the power button 30 seconds. Now plug in the adapter and try to fire it up. Yes, the battery can go so dead it keeps the laptop from turning on. It is not common however and quite the longshot. It could possibly even be the AC adapter. Do you have access to another known good one? Lastly, it can be the power jack and even the motherboard. It is really not good for a computer to experience repeated hard power-down shutoffs. If you want to kill a computer that is one good way to do it slowly and painfully. The power jack is a separate part from the motherboard and on a scale of 1-10 with 1 being replace the battery and 10 being replace the motherboard it is about a 6 or a 7. No soldering is required. This is the part you need:

Just purchased a Lenovo Yoga 2 13" about 3 weeks ago. I like the PC, but I have an issue. I was using it last night and I shut it down and left it to charge. Today when I went to turn it on the battery light blinks 3 times (1 second on, 1 second off x 3) and that's it. It won't boot at all. I'm having the EXACT same problem! The light blinks 3 times and the holding of the power button will not work either. My laptop said the battery was dying and was at 10% and before I could figure out why it wasn't charging, it died completely and the power cord will not charge it any more for some reason. I have only had this laptop for 6 months! And I replaced my old laptop (Yoga 13 original because of charging problems too!) I'm so upset about this. I will NEVER buy another Yoga/Lenovo.

Try putting VERY slight upward presssure on the power connector where it enters the comptuer. Does charging resume?

I am very confused by your post. You say you can't connect your device...to your computer? If so, how did you manage to upgrade the BB OS? Given that, from what you've described, you can use BBSAK, that would require connecting to your computer, but then you say you can't. So I'm confused.
Please try posting again, and be 100% clear about exactly what the symptom is that you wish to resolve, exactly all of the steps you have attempted (e.g., "like using BBSAK" isn't enough...what, exactly, did you do with BBASK?), and exactly the results of each step of what you have attempted.

Laptop won't turn on - the power adapter light flashes three times? G62 b29SA

I've been replacing the fan in my friend's laptop. I had a problem with the trackpad not working after I put it back together and that problem is not yet resolved but I have another problem preventing me from getting further. Now when I press the on button, the power adapter light (next to the socket for the external power) flashes three times and that's all. It flashes again three times every time I press the power button. It does this even with an external power source plugged in (I'm pretty sure that it's supposed to just stay on constantly when the charger is plugged in but the power source I have is a universal one set to 19 V - it has powered up with this plugged in before but I don't know whether it was taking charge from it). Any advice?

I got the charger from my friend and now it boots up just fine. There seem to be many meanings to the three flashes based on my Internet searches but in this case it appears that it's some way of indicating a low battery.

Pavillion G6 Laptop, wont turn on.

My laptop recently slipped out of my bag and onto the floor. It wasnt a hard hit (as it was in a protective case and not from a high distance) but now won't turn on.
When i press the power button, the light comes on along with the orange wireless light and i can hear the motor starting.. and then it turns off. About 15 seconds later it does it again- tries to turn on, the lights come on, the motor starts and then stops again.
I have tried doing the hard reset by unpluging the power adapter, taking out the battery and holding the power button down for up to a minute. It does the same thing when i try to turn it back on. I have tried doing the reset with the battery in (once ive held the power button down and pluged the power back in) and i have also tried without puting the battery back in.
HELP! Any suggestions?

It is possible that the RAM may have been loosed just enough by the drop (it doesn't take much). Have you tried removing and reseating the RAM?

Laptop wont turn on, the charger light wont come on either

I tried taking the batter out, nothing. Tried a different charger, nothing. Tried a different outlet, nothing. Please Help!!

Your computer will not turn on.
Do you get any lights on the laptop?
What happen the last time that it worked?
Do a hard reset.
Power off the computer.
Remove the power cable and the battery.
Hold down the power button for 15 sec while booth power sources are removed.
This should reset the hardware in the computer.

- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

Sounds like the battery is dead. Take it to Apple and ask them to check it out for you.

This error is often related to USB timing. Try changing USB ports, using a different dock connector to USB cable, and other available USB troubleshooting steps (troubleshooting USB connections. If the issue is not resolved by USB isolation troubleshooting, and another computer is not available, try these steps to resolve the issue:
Connect the device to iTunes, confirm that the device is in Recovery Mode. If it's not in Recovery Mode,put it into Recovery Mode.
Restore and wait for the error.
When prompted, click OK.
Close and reopen iTunes while the device remains connected.
The device should now be recognized in Recovery Mode again.

If the steps above do not resolve the issue, try restoring using a known-good USB cable, computer, and network connection.

Hello I have an Ipod Touch 2nd Gen and it wont turn on or charge. I have pluged it into a wall 4 days ago and its been charging in multiple outlets (such as computers and walls) and its been displaying a red battery with a lightning symbol. When I unplug it the screen goes black and nothing happens. I have tried holding down the power button but nothing will work. Also when I plug it into a computer it doesnt show up on itunes, as additional info it is a 8gb black ipod touch 2ng gen, no camera, and ios 4.1. Thank you
