HP Pavillion Notebook, Help

I have a HP Pavillion dv9000 notebook,  it completely died on me a few months ago so i had it sent in and i've had it back for maybe 6-7 months and now it won't charge. I have to wiggle the connection when its plugged on just to get it to charge, its been like this for about 2 months now, I don't know if its the cord that is faulty or the connection point, or perhaps both. Not only that my computer is at the point where it won't even turn on anymore, when I do it gives me a message saying it failed to start and I can run system recovery or just normal start- up, however I can't keep it on long enough to do the recovery mode, does anyone know what is going on? Or has anyone with the same computer, had similar problems. Does anyone know how I can fix both of these problems; I am aware i will need to replace either the cord or the connection terminal, I just need to know which one.

If you can get your hands on an extra adapter that you know works, you can test it to see if it is indeed the adapter you have been using, but it sounds as if you have damaged the plug socket and caused a short. It's a VERY easy thing to do. People often do it when they put their notebook down on a table or pick it up improperly.

Its Retail i already buy it..and lost that key with email even i dont have box or DVD.
Now that is purely a fault that can't be resolved without buying another genuine Retail disc with activation key from stores.
You can try contacting MS, but I can assure you that they would also be of no help.

I have it installed in this computer, but I'm trying to install it on my dad's because the skype program works on his laptop. Installing it hasn't really worked, but I was able to find the driver file in my system32 folder. would it work if I just copied that onto a disk and then just paste it in the same place on his computer?

i'll reply since you will most likely get lots of views and NO reply -
when a 'driver' is installed it can sometimes be only one file in the system32 folder. other times it can be changes to the registry and other files in different folders.. but after opening an exe for a driver downloaded from this site it looks like it copies a lot of files. dll's and such - so you're better of downloading the driver for the camera from creative's download section.

theres the link for it, assuming you're using XP. hope that helped.

Hello i installed a new windows as i didnt like windows 8 i got all drivers except for wifi driver please help me,provide me with a link where to download the driver for windows 7 professional 64 bit.

    PCI\VEN_10EC&DEV_8136&SUBSYS_227E103C&REV_08
    PCI\VEN_10EC&DEV_8136&SUBSYS_227E103C
    PCI\VEN_10EC&DEV_8136&CC_020000
    PCI\VEN_10EC&DEV_8136&CC_0200

You can install any of those 3 drivers I posted in any order you want.
If you need other drivers, then you should be able to use the drivers from the 15t-p000 except for the BIOS and firmware files.
    http://h22207.www2.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-pavilion-15-p000-notebook-pc-series/6936226/m...
There is an order you should install some of the drivers.
    1. Intel Chipset Installation Utility and reboot.
    2. Intel HD Graphics driver and reboot.
    3. Audio driver and reboot.
Then you can install whatever other drivers and software you need in any order you want.

  • Audigy 2 ZS Notebook Help Optica

Hi there,?I want to connect two computers to a system and right now im just using analog on one system and a cable from the line out of my computer to the line in of my speakers. I've been trying to find out what I will need to connect the speakers to the laptop? Its the logitech 5500 it supports optical and coax, so do I need an adapter for it to connect into my laptop or do I just buy any type of optical cable? My other computer has a Sound Blaster Audigy , so I was wondering if i could use coax or optical on any of the cards. Thanks a lot!?Andy

To connect the Audigy you need a coaxial cable, and?a mono 3.5mm miniplug to RCA jack adapter, connected to the digital out jack in the card. To conect the Audigy Notebook you need an optical toslink to optical miniplug cable or a toslink cable with a toslink to miniplug adapter connected to the shared headphone/spdif out in the pcmcia card. Please note that connecting via spdif you will have only stereo sound unless you pass through bitstream from DVDs.

    2. Did you plug in the 4/8-pin CPU power connector located near the CPU socket? If the motherboard has 8 pins and your PSU only has 4 pins, you can use the 4-pin connector. The 4-pin connector USUALLY goes on the 4 pins located closest to the CPU. If the motherboard has an 8-pin connector with a cover over 4 pins, you can remove the cover and use an 8-pin plug if your power supply has one. This power connector provides power to the CPU. Your system has no chance of posting without this connector plugged in! Check your motherboard owners manual for more information about the CPU power connector. The CPU power connector is usually referred to as the "12v ATX" connector in the owners manual. This is easily the most common new-builder mistake.

I have the same issue. Tried it on 3 Hp laptops in our office of varying ages. Tried all of the processes listed above too but to no avail. I even restored 8.1 and updated all drivers for network and chipset etc and still nothing. Interestingly, although the wireless and ethernet hardware shows up in the device manager, there are no connections in the Network Connection Centre. Very frustrating!!

  • Notebook help

    Hi
    I have a problem, a bad problem
My ProBook 4320s has stopped working,  when i push the power button the power lights up for a second and switches off.  It repeats this until i pull the battery out.
The last time it was working,  I had given into the nagging HP update software and allowed it to do its updates.   It requested a reboot and from that point on the problem occured.
Can anyone suggest what has happened and how to fix it?

It is a hardware issue, you can try removing memory modules (if you have more than one), disconnect hard drive etc, see if you can get a bios post screen.
