i have hp 8gb v165w pen drive this is not recogined & not detected in system windows xp
so plz give me some support

In Device manager go to "Universal serial bus controllers" It should list the storage devices that you have connected to your PC. Right click and then click "Uninstall. Remove the USB drive and restart your system.
Try connecting the device again.
If still no go, try it on another computer and if not recognized on that computer, the pen drive may be defective or damaged.

I do know that for new MBPs there is a no questions asked return policy if returned within 14 days of purchase. I am not certain if that applies for peripherals. If you have not damaged it, I would think that the odds are on your side if you return it for a refund. Obviously you have a good reason for the return.
Then it may be a good reason to purchase a new MBP. In any event, call the store and ask.

Command that should be sent to pen drive to detect using labview

I want to access my pen drive in Lab view 8.5.I tried it using VISA Read/ Write Functions.But i dont know what commnd i should send to it so as to get reply. (I used *IDN?.....din't work)I know that PC communicates with USB device using commands or using binary commands.please tell me from where i'll get command set please.

With the function 'List Folder' you can get a list of all drives on your computer if you feed an empty path to it.
folder names contains the names of the folders found in the specified directory. This function sorts the folder names alphabetically.
If path is an empty path, folder names contains the names of the drives on the computer.

Input/Output error on Flash pen drive... damaged?

Hi There,
I am hoping that someone will help me here with my long last problem. I got 32gig flash/pen drive and for some reason I can’t access it anymore. I have done some research on web and I couldn’t find any solution for my problem.
Basically I just need someone to tell me if this external drive is ready to go to bin. Or is there any other option to fix it.
After flash drive insertion I am getting following error:

I have tried to use Disc Utility from Installation discs but with the same effect. Tried to format on windows with no luck there neither. I am just stuck so please if someone will tell me what to do next.

Just use Disk Utility to erase and reformat the drive. If there's nothing on there that does not exist somewhere else, there is no need to spend money on DW, though it is a worthwhile tool to have around.
If the erase and reformat does not work, you are looking at a hardware issue. Purchase a new drive.

One simple method you can use to list out the folders of your computer.
If any USB Pendrive is connected with your computer you will get the Pen Drive Name.
First get all number of drives. Make constant this value if next time with your pendrive you get the number of element is more then the fixed one then you can say external device is connected with PC.
May be this is not the standard method to detect the device, but it can solve your issue.

Sir, I have purchesed 8 GB pen drive through printvenue before three months.

Mount failed for usb3.0 pen drive on MBP Retina

I have 32GB pen drive, trying to connect it to MBP Retina.
OS version is the newest one.
Pendrive works great with Windows 7 and WD HD Live.
Tried to format pendrive with all available file systems (from Fat32, exFat, MacOS Extended) - and format works OK.
DiskUtility see the pendrive without any issues, but can not mount.
Following error appears:
- the disk could not be mounted. Try running First Aid on the disk and the retry mounting.
Verify Disk and Repair Disk completes without issues, but pendrive is still can not be mount.

I was having this problem with the exact same USB drive (Lexar USB 3.0 32GB) and an early 2011 Macbook pro. I tried EVERYTHING to make it work: most of the things you did including resetting the PRAM and the SMC and tried every kind of formatting (Mac Journaled, exFat, Fat32....), I tried every port on my laptop, I cleaned the contacts.... nothing worked. It was working on a friend's newer Macbook, and on my roommate's brand new windows desktop. However, on my computer It wasn't showing up in Finder or in Disk Utility no matter what I did.
I then read this comment on another forum: "Likely the problem is the USB 3.0 plug going into a USB 2.0 socket. Move it back and forth a bit and it should connect. For me this works every time."
And it works. I just have to move the USB drive slightly away from my screen and presto. I am not sure how great this is for the USB port itself but I have decided to sacrifice one USB port to using my thumb drive because I need it every day.
I too spent hours trying to resolve this and this was the solution, and it's been working for months.

Hp pen drive v220w read/write speed in about 50 kbps

My 16 gb hp pen drive v220w which was giving a read speed of about 30 mbps and write speed of about 8 mbps became slow all of a sudden ......
Now it is giving read and write speed of about 50-100 kbps . It also takes a long time to format or to delete data.
It is showing 14.9gb of usable space and no errors were found when i tested it....but still its speed is quite slow....
Please somebody help me!

Try performing all the steps mentioned below to troubleshoot the issue:
Open Start Menu > Run, type regedit and press Enter. This will open the registry editor.
Navigate to the following path:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\StorageDevicePolicies
Double click the key "WriteProtect" in the right pane and set the value to 0.
In the Data Value Box, press OK.
Exit Registry, restart your computer and then re-connect your USB pen drive to your computer.

How to use USB Flash Key Pen Drive in Sun Ray?

Hello gentlemen,
Can anyone help me witn USB Flash Key Pen Drive in Sun Ray?
Every Sun Ray appliance has USB-ports and ammount of them more than default USB-set: Keyboard+mouse.
The idea: to use one of the rest USB-ports in appliance for USB Flash Key Pen Drive.
I've tried to find the solution in Sun Ray Documents.
The result was "zero".
Can anybody answers the following questions too :
1. Generaly speaking, is it possible to use USB Flash Key Pen Drive under Solaris/Sun Ray Server Soft?
2. If exists compatibility list of "Solaris Sun Ray Configurations - USB Flash Key Pen Drive Models" - how can I see it?
3. Is there anywhere resources on USB Flash Key Pen Drive connection under SPARC-Solaris?

Like Aaron said, sorry, but unless you remember your password, your data is unfortunately lost.
The entire point of encrypting your data is that no one but the holder of the password has access. If there where an easy way to bypass the encryption, there would not be much point to it.
