HP photoshop 7515 scanner

The scanner and fax functions have suddenly stopped working. The unit prints and copies just fine, but the automatic document feed does not work nor does it scan/fax from the glass. I have OS X operating system. The scan from the computer makes all the right noises; it just doesn't work. The scan from the printer makes all the right noises, tells me my scan has been sent to the computer, but the body of the scanned document just never arrives there. It appears that although the software is working the scan "mechanism" is not. The HP Network Configuration Page and Printer Status Report both show the the printer is connected to my wireless network.

I recommend you try the following steps: Uninstall your printer - click here for instructions. Repair disk permissions on your Mac - click here for instructions. Once you've finished running the above-noted utility, restart your computer. Lastly, click here to reinstall your printer.Once this sequence is complete make sure your webservices are still enabled (helpful if you're an eFax user). Since installing Photoshop CS6, scanner cannot be launched via Photoshop Elements 8

I have recently installed Photoshop CS6. I already had Photoshop Elements 8 on my PC. Before installing CS6, I could quite happily scan photos etc via my scanner, from within Elements 8, but now when I go 'File > Get Photos and Videos > From Scanner' within Elements 8 (with Photoshop CS6 not open at the time, incidentally), I get a message saying 'Software for this device could not be launched. The device is not connected or is busy'. I would like to be able to scan from either Photoshop applications. What is the problem here?

Thanks Sudarshan Thiagarajan, Hudechrome and Curt Y. The printer/scanner/copier is an old Brother DCP-115C. I do have the latest driver installed. Due to its age, Brother stopped updating the driver ages ago.
Unless I'm missing something, why would anyone suspect the driver being at fault, anyway? The scanner worked fine from within Elements 8 - until I installed Photoshop CS6, from which point it continues to scan fine from within CS6, using either the WIA or the TWAIN systems (I needed to download the TWAIN plug-in for CS6 - it is no longer contained on Photoshop CS6's installation disc), but I can no longer scan from within Elements 8 anymore.
I'm just wondering, is one particular Photoshop application set as the 'default' application for the scanner (and, since CS6 was installed, this has taken precedence over Elements 8), or are you supposed to be able to use the scanner from within more than one Photoshop application on your PC system, at any one time, provided, of course, you have only one Photoshop application open? I expect it is the latter, as I am able to print from either Photoshop application still. As this is the case, I assume this means you should be able to scan from either Photoshop application also.

PHotoshop CS4 - scanner doesn't show up in File - Import

I have an Epson Perfection 4180 scanner, and Photoshop CS4 extended and a Mac OSX 10.6.3. I installed photoshop but the scanner doesn't show up under the File>Import menu. Normally it be there, i'd click it, and it launches the scanner within photoshop.
I found some info on google which suggested to look in a folder on the installation DVD called "Goodies"
In there is a folder called Optional "Plug-Ins"
In there is a folder called "Import-Export"Where i found a file called TWAIN.plugin
I put the file into Adobe Photoshop CS4/Plug-ins/Import-Export but it still doesn't appear in photoshop file > import.
Any ideas on what i should do?

Photoshop cs6 scanner help

Hi. I'm currently still a bit of a beginner when it comes to photoshop, but I've been drawing traditional for a while. I'm wondering, what kind of scanner should you use for photoshop cs6? (Preferably moderately cheap since I'm mostly a hobbyist)
I've been considering to buy an Epson, but I'm not quite sure yet. What do you think about it? Any help/suggestions is appreciated!

You downloaded the twain plugin referenced here and put it in the 32 bit version photoshop cs6?

CS3 Photoshop Shows Scanner in Import but No Joy

Maybe I worded my last question incorrectly:
I am running 10.7.5 Intel Core i5. Before I zapped my PRAM, I used to be able to go to >Import and choose EPSON Perfection V33/V330… (see photo attached) and now I get a message that says: CS3 Photoshop -- Could not complete the import command because there is no scanner installed.
Question: What the heck did I do to screw this up? Vue Scan Twain is giving me the color beach ball of death. I like to scan in photoshop and have the scanned file open directly.
I have downloaded and installed epson15896_twain_driver_and_epson_scan_utility_3923 from the EPSON website. It detected my OS.
NOTE: I can scan directly from the EPSON Scan.app no problems but I like to scan in photoshop and have the scanned file open directly.
Image Capture does not show the scanner as being active.
Any advice is welcome.

Ha, solved my own question. Switching USB ports has everything back up and running smoothl.

Photoshop CS5 scanner problem

I am using photoshop CS5 (PC version) and windows XP SP3, I install a driver for my Plustek scanner but the CS5 could not detech there is a scanner inspite of re-install. But when using the Adobe Acrobat 9 it could detech the scanner and so I am using this AA9 to scan my images. How do I made the CS5 detech my scanner, please help, thanks

You probably need the optional Twain plugin included in this download.

Photoshop and scanner preferences

I know the answer is simple, but I can't figure this out.
I'm using my epson scanner through photoshop and right now, it's programed to close out after every scan. Where do I change this setting to stay in the epson software until I choose to close out?

Stop using Photoshop as an expensive scanner UI. just use the Epson software by itself

I see that your scanning works fine with your HP Officejet Pro 8625, but not with Photoshop Elements on Mac OS X 10.10. I am happy to help!

Epson 2480 scanner issues

I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on this problem we have been encountering. We have a number of emacs at our college, well about a hundred, which have started to have issues with our scanners. I have been finding more and more students complaining that their scanner is not responding at all. We run a server and all accounts are shared from there. The scanners in question are Epson perfection 2480's. When the problem students log on the green light on the scanner goes out and remains that way until the student logs out again. sometimes it is not on when a student is logged out. I have noticed that on some occasions too that when the emac is restarted the scanner will have it's green light on, but when the user-name and password screen appears it will turn off again.
So far the only fix I have found, is to log on the client machine as an administrator. After waiting a few minutes, or by running the epson scan, or photoshop the scanner will burst into life and start to work. I then log out and let the student log back in. The scanner will then usually be fine, until the computer is turned off.
The first things that jumps out to me is that this must be some type of preference problem as If I the admin can jump start the scanner, then something in the students accounts must be blocking it.
Can anyone give me any ideas as to what to have a look at, as I have been scratching my head about this for a while. Also with all of these mac's to look after it is also a bit of a pain having to log on as admin to resolve the situation when it occurs.

This problem has been around for a while at our sit and we have just had to maintain it. Last summer, I formatted all of our machines, and then set them from scratch. We have a number of machines ranging in age so when I tried to do an image of a master machine, it did not work on all and I ended up having to make about 5 images to cover them all.
All client machines have been installed and setup to be identical. (well as close as) we are currently running, 10.4.9 on our machines, but this problem has occurred through a number of different updates. I have downloaded 2 version of new drivers from epson, each still presenting the same problem too.
I notice that the regularity of this problem can occur if the machine shave been turned off for a while. Our students are also always unplugging scanners and USB's to plug in their own devices. I also notice that when a scanner is having the problem the green light is off on the front of the scanner. If I unplug the scanner, then light turns on?!? This is without a student even logged in. At first I was thinking that somehow the client is storing the last users preferences and that was disabling the scanner for anyone else, until I came along and logged in as admin. This seems to overwrite the problem, start the scanner and then anyone can use it again. Our mac's also ato off and auto wake so this may also be having some effect on why the scanners keep getting disabled.
The version of epson scan we are using is: 2.77E
Im not sure about the driver being enabled for one button push functions, but the scanner does offer that service. All of our students use the twain import in Photoshop to scan images in.
OK NEWSFLASH!!
Right I just went into find out if the USB section in profiler finds anything. In one of our rooms we have 18 macs. They were all tunred off at the wall, including the scanners. I turned them all on. The scanners all turned on and displayed a green light. As soon as the mac offered the username and password screen, all of the scanner lights turned off!! I unpluged each scanner and plugged it back in. with the USB cable pulled out, the light on the scanner came on. And as soon as it was plugged back in, out it went again?!?
I tired to log in on a student account and the scanner light stayed out and I got the error that I have been getting, saying there is no scanner attached.
I then logged in as a admin on the same machine, and boom, the scanner starts. I tried logging in as admin straight away on another machine and the same happens, the scanner wakes up!
Ok where do we stand now!, It's like the USB is being disabled after the power has been turned off to the mac.
As a note, all students do not have access to the profiler or system preferences, We have also disabled some applications acces on our mac so they don;t mess around, could that be part of it?
any ideas would be greatly received!

Intel iMac, photoshop crashing trying to load twain settings

Second hand iMac, wiped HD and imported all my files docs and apps including Photoshop and scanner stuff. Photoshop worked fine. Problems with very slow computer, dock using 25 % processer. Cloned HD to external HD. Then erased and installed again but this time didn't import apps. Reinstalled scanner stuff then apps including Photoshop. Photoshop now won't launch, gets as far as loading Twain settings and crashes. Uninstalled scanner stuff, reinstalled Photoshop, trashed prefs, still crashes. . Uninstalled Photoshop, installed Elements 4, same thing. trashed whole pref folder in my user library, now Elements hangs. But.... Photoshop still lanches when I boot from the cloned external HD.
What to do?

Update. Re installed PS CS1, trashed the TWAIN Plugin, didn't empty trash, started PS up fine. However, couldn't import from PS or PSE from scanner. So decided to quit both, put the TWAIN plugin back in PS, and it started up fine. Could then import from scanner. So I then copied and pasted the TWAIN Plugin back into Elements and it worked fine.
Seems like first time starting up after install, both programmes can't handle the TWAIN plugin, but if you do the first start up without it, and then put it back, they manage fine.

Canoscan Lide 600 - Canonscan Toolbox crashes on launch...

I have just purchased a Canonscan Lide 600... When I launch the Canonscan Toolbox (version 5.0) the program crashes... Can anyone suggest a fix?
I have been able to get Image Capture to work.
I would also like to get Photoshop to work too but when I go to file/import in Photoshop the scanner does not show up... How do I get Photoshop to work with my scanner...
I thought that this should be easy... Can anyone point me in the right direction?

I am using Windows Vista and I backed up my iPhone 4 so I can have my pictures on my computer as well. Where do I go to see those pictures?

You need to import the pics from the iphone as you would from any digital camera. You can use photoshop, camera scanner and wizard,etc.
