HP Photosmart 2570 series fax (via HP Scan Pro) gone

With the latest Tiger update (Mac OS X 10.4.11 (8S165)) I now do not have the scanning function of my HP Photosmart 2575 alive. I have HP Scan Pro.app version 6.1.4 (13.5.05). The printer is serial number MY62E120B904DY. If I try to start HP Scan Pro it will crash, and if I try to send a scan by pressing on the printer's buttons to any of my two Tiger machines, HP Scan Pro will start and also crash.
The http server on the printer only gives me previews, then hangs.
Is there any fix, workaround or update for this problem?
For Leopard this printer is completely dead.

I downloaded from [1] the "HP Photosmart Full Feature Software and Drivers - Mac OS X v10.3.9, v10.4 and v10.5" version 9.7 of 10.2007 and it worked! Fax fixed! Thanks you!

When it askes for DNS information, enter in Google's DNS. Preferred DNS = 8.8.8.8 Alt DNS = 8.8.4.4
If that does not help, if you could provide me with the following information it would help me out. First, who is your ISP( Internet Service Provider, i.e. Comcast, AT&T, Verizon, ect.)? Second, who is the maker of your router? Lastly, what is the model number and firmware version of your router?

HP Photosmart D5100 series lack of a vital feature in Lion 10.7 OsX

I had no problem under OsX 10.6 and no problem on Windows7.
With new Lion 10.7, it was automatically downloaded the HP driver for "Photosmart D5100 series". My printer is D5160 and it has direct print to CD/DVD feature.
In the new settings it is missing the capability to select "CD'DVD tray" or "print to CD/DVD" as it was in the past.
I use the same "Disc Cover" software to print onto DVD's.
Is this feture so well hidden than a user like me is so dumb not being able to find it or the HP software guys just missed it?

I tried your suggestion and it didn't work. The scanning function continues to operate with a mind of its own and the prompt window you mentioned didn't pop up. I unchecked the "combine into a single PDF" box and once the first page was scanned and before I could get up out of my chair to change the document on the flatbed, it began to scan again and created a second file identical to the first one.
I even changed the color correction setting to "manual" hoping it would ask if I wanted to make changes and hoping it would give me time to change out the documents, but a window popped up where the scan image was and displayed a message saying the color correction was being done automatically.
The only way I could successfully scan a multi page PDF document into the same file was to stand at the scanner and as quickly as possible change out the pages before it started to scan again.
Something must be wrong with the software drivers of the HP Photosmart 4580 that have been loaded into Lion.

HP Photosmart B110 series wont print over wifi after OSX 10.8 upgrade

My HP Photosmart B110 series worked fine with OSX ML, after move to 10.8 - nothing. Software update installed an HP update, found the printer which it marked IDLE, then when you testprint/print, is says........Printer can't be found!?! Have removed the printer in sys pref........then added new printer......no problem, shows available, idle. When you try and print nada. Works using the USB cable.

Hi,
Try rebooting your router by unplugging its power for 30 seconds.
Once the router is up make sure to reboot the printer as well.
If you still cannot print after those steps you may try resetting the printing system:
*Be aware that resetting the printer system will remove any existing print queue and reset any customized driver settings.
Click the Apple menu, and then click System Preferences .
Select Print & Scan.
Right-click (or Ctrl + click) your product in the Printers list in the left panel, and then click Reset printing system .
Click OK to confirm the reset.
Type your user Name and Password .
Click OK . The printing system resets.
Now click the Plus sign, select the printer and try printing again.
As the issue only appear over the network please let me know your router brand and model if the issue persists after completing the steps above.

The last driver that Canon released for the iP6600D was v10.51 for OS X 10.7. You could try downloading and installing this driver via this link.
Note that the driver may not be digitally signed so Gatekeeper will block its installation. To get past Gatekeeper, you can right-click on the installer and select Open from the pop-up menu that appears. You will then be given the option to install the driver.

Faxing via my HP4315

I am trying to fax via my HP4315. I can scan and print with no problem. When I go into the preferences and make my way to the HP Utility, I can connect and test the fax fine from the MBP to the 4315. When I open a PDF in Pages and try to fax by changing to "fax PDF", it says there is no fax to be found.
The 4315 is an all-in-one.

This is an Officejet, right? Have you tried adding the HP printer again, this time using the HP fax driver? Sometimes for the AIOs it's necessary to add the "printer" twice.

HP verweist nur auf Apple. Eine Suche nach einem Treiber war bislang nicht erfolgreich.

HP Photosmart D110 Series getting error message when connecting to web services

Hello guys!
Hope someone can help. We have a HP Photosmart D110 series that is a couple years old. I am trying to get it connected to the web services feature for my wife. When we first got the printer it connected with no problems. When I go and click on enable web services it tells me cannot connect to server. Same error message happens when I try to do a product update. I tried to change manual preferred to 8. 8. 8. 8. and manual alternate to 8. 8. 4. 4. with no luck.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
