HP Photosmart 309a - the fix for not printing black, resulted in wireless radio not functioning.
My HP Photosmart 309a printer was not printing black, trying various ideas from this forum, I used the #6 reset (after replacing cartridges etc etc). This was successful and the black printed out on a test page, but then I couldn't reconnect wirelessly to the PC.
The Wireless Network Test Report says the Wireless is on, but that the Wireless radio is not functioning. (It seems that the #6 did something to the Wireless on the printer.)
The #6 reset turned the wireless radio off. After I turned it on again its search still did not find any wireless routers.
I have tried various printer resets, #3, #6 to no avail. Would appreciate any further ideas.
This is my second HP printer. I got rid of my last one recently, when I couldn't get it to print black, even though it was stilll quite new. This one is certainly not a year old, but because we are selling our house and have put almost everything in storage I don't have access to the receipts, so cannot get the printer replaced.

I have no knowledge of a "wireless radio" muchless of how to "turn it on"
I think the printer's radio (the device it uses to communicate with your wireless router).
If it is convenient, you can plug the printer into your router using an Ethernet cable for the same functionality as it being wireless. I can help if you want.

Why does the "fix" for firefox copying and pasting not work?
I did the fix a few times and restarted firefox, with no success. Also, I installed the latest version of firefox and it is slower now. I have to use firefox for school, otherwise I would just find another way.
In what way is Firefox slow?
Is this all the time or only with loading web pages?

Last known fix for Find my iPad? How is this not an included option for devices that are currently turned off. Absolute no brainer. Thief steals the iPad and turns it offline, or user loses it while it has low battery, lost forever. Brilliant.
If the iPad was running iOS 7, the thief/finder will not ever be able to use it.

HP Photosmart e-All-In-O​ne C310a not printing black ink?
HP Photosmart e-All-In-One C310a will not print black ink. I've installed new genuine HP cartridges (original cartridges were also genuine HP). I've run through all troubleshooting processes, test pages, clean heads, alignment procedures, and other suggested forum fixes such as "removing all cartridges, powering down, removing power cord, reinsert power cord, power up and reinstall cartrdges" which seemed to work for some other HP customer, but not me. Any ideas? Or am I fortunate enough to have a DUD?

HP Photosmart 6510 e-All-in-One Printer Does Not Print Black Ink
I have run all the troubleshooting listed from HP and the "check" warrenty doesn't come up blank. I would like to not have to purchase a new printer to fix this any help would be greatly appreciated:
1) Rebooted Printer
2) Installed new printer cartridge (2nd one) - really not happy about this as that represents almost $50 in HP ink
3) Checked venting - Not the problem
4) From Tools ran head cleaner - still only prints colors (or grey)
I've liked HP printers for a long time, but after reading the forums I'm really seeing an issue with the model I puchased. I don't mind purchasing HP ink and my printer isn't a high volume use printer so I expect it to last beyond 1 year 1 day.
I have the SN and product number available if a tech needs.

Although I hope this resolves the issue, it might not. If the issue persists, please post back with your warranty status. Use the following link to check your warranty.

HP Photosmart 5510 will not print Black Ink!! - Time to "break-up" with HP
I came upon this forum by doing a google search for the issue I'm having which is my HP Photosmart 5510 will not print black ink. The printer is a year and a half old and is used only for home office use (not a heck of a lot of printing being done)
It started right after I installed new ink cartridges (all four of them) I want to mention hear that I ONLY buy genuine HP ink cartridges from Staples and when I replace my cartriges I replace all four at the same time even if one ink level is not considered "replaceably" low. When the issue started I thought I must have gotten a bad black cartridge so I went out and bought another one but was still having the issue. So that's when I did my google search.

After trying all of these my color ink is less than half full....remember....I started with 4 brand new ink cartridges...so now, I'm out roughly $85 in ink just trying to resolve a problem that should not have happened in the first place!! Shame on HP for makeing such poor quality products. I gave up on HP computers years ago and now I'm giving up on their printers!! This HP Photosmart 5510 All In One printer replaced an HP Color Laserjet CM1312nfi printer (which cost approximately $400) that only lasted about 3 years. Sorry HP but that's it....I'm moving on! Consider this our "break-up" letter.Hi TisKate, sorry to hear that you are having printing issues when it comes to printing in Black. I am also sorry to hear that you are breaking up with HP. I would like to offer a couple more troubleshooting steps before we say our fond farewells. Now this might sound silly but really it isn't. If you have the power cable connected to a Power bar/strip, please remove it and connect the power cable directly to a wall outlet. HP printers already have a built in surge protector and if you have it in a strip/bar, the printer will not get all the power needed to function properly. This can cause printing issues or false error messages on the printer display screen. Here is a document that explains the Issues when Connected to an Uninterruptible Power Supply/Power Strip/Surge Protector.
The other step I would like to take is on the printers display touch screen. Please use the right arrow key and go to the Wrench icon. Press the wrench and go to the Tools menu. Once in the Tools menu, please select Clean Printhead. Use the cleaning utility 2-3 times or until you see a change in the print status reports. It might take a few cycles but I am confident that it will make a difference.

Photosmart 2575 not printing black? cartridge replaced, colour prints fine
Photosmart 2575 suddenly stopped printing black, replaced cartridge... No problem with colour?
Try the troubleshooting steps in this document. Does the test page print properly? If so there is an issue with the driver settings. If the test page does not print black I would suggest removing the black cartridge and soaking it nozzles down for five minutes in hot water, then blotting the printhead gently with a damp tissue.

Please make sure you have not missed anything here: Printer Does Not Print Black Ink or Color Ink, or Prints Blank Pages, I understand you may have done some of these steps already but I need you to complete all steps in order to resolve the missing black issue you are experiencing.
Please note: There are three printhead cleaning stages. Complete all three stages if necessary. If the printhead is badly clogged, it might require another cleaning cycle. If so, wait 30 minutes after the last (third) cleaning stage to start the first stage of the cleaning process over again.
If you are still unable to print in black ink, I suspect the issue may be the printer and not the cartridge. Please let me know which Country/Region you are in as well as the product Warranty status: HP Warranty Checker

Photosmart 5520 not printing black
As with many others here, my HP Photosmart 5520 is not printing in black. Have gone through all the HP troubleshooting, as well as the steps on the forums, short of disassembling and removing the print head.
Replaced the print cartridge twice with genuine HP 564 and HP 564XL, checked the cartridge vents, and have run the clean printer head clean utilities 10x, including turning off, waiting several hours, and going through the process again. It still won't print black, and the print quality diagnostic "black" box is completely blank, or has a few faint gray lines.
Printer warranty expired 1/2014. Was a HP customer for life, but now am very frustrated. This is the second HP printer in a row that has failed soon after the warranty expired, and with the exact same problem. My printer's info is below. I am in Beaverton, Oregon, USA

As you have a 6520, If the issue persists, I would suggest calling HP Phone Support even though the printer may be out of warranty as you may require a replacement printer. The number to call HP is 1-800-474-6836 for Canada and US, or you can Contact HP Worldwide.
