Hp photosmart 3210xi said non hp cartridge. Said to replace new one just inserted. Wont work!

hp photosmart 3210 xi said non hp cartridgfe.  Said to replace new hp cartridge when one had been inserted.  Wont work!

Remove both cartridges
Set the cartridges aside and close the access door
Unplug the printer
Plug the printer back in
Wait until it tells you the cartridges are missing
Insert cartridges
Close door.
Hope this helps

  • HP Photosmart 5510 error message "Ink Cartridges Must Be Replaced"

Okay, so I bought new ink cartridges for my printer because the old ones were dried up.
Before installing them, my printer had an error message saying there was an ink carrier jam. It was stuck in the right corner in its dock, but eventually I got it out and it was able to move left and right without difficulty again.
Now that the new ink cartridges are in there, it's saying they all must be replaced even though they're all new?
I followed every step in this guide before anyone posts it: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c02924284&tmp_task=solveCategory&cc=us&dlc=en&lc...
Is there anything else not mentioned in the above article that I could do to try and fix it?
Could it just be the ink cartridges- should I just go and exchange them? Or is it possible my printer is just broken/the aforementioned ink carrier jam had something to do with it?

    Anyone..?

  • I have a PSC 2175 that wants me to point the ink cartridge after i replaced it. It doesn't work.

Anyone who knows what can be the problem?

    Hello Nicolishin,
You can bypass the alignment and use the last working alignment: press and hold the Setup button, press the Options button and then release both buttons.
You can read more on how to solve alignment issues in this document:

  • Photosmart C4280 - copying without colour cartridge

My device is displaying: "Print cartridge is missing, incorrectly installed" It is true, because my colour cartridge is empty and i dont want to use more. But this text is always on devices display. Its possible to erese this error message from display? And when i want to use C4280 to copying documents without starting my computer, it is not workinr (because there is error message on display) and when i push grey button (black copy) it is not working.

Two very cheeky expressions, I've found in HP's suggestions: "HP cannot guarantee the quality of non HP cartridges", and " If TWO new cartridges were installed, perform the steps on both".
In fact HP guarantees, HP cartridge will stop working prematurely. And there is no way I will buy two new cartridges, costing much more, than new printer, while old one is almost full!
In the meantime I've hacked this printer, as I remembered "Light bulb conspiracy " film. I've used two old ones only, and I guarantee I will never buy new one, especially original HP. It already happened once to me, that my black XL stopped working, after printing less pages, than small one included within new printer. I've just pumped twice rest of ink into old small one, and it worked. Now my colour cartridge is hacked , and works OK, so I have not only modest black option. My colour cartridge is from 2011, and that was maybe real, artificial problem , pre-programmed by scoundrels? Why the hell to destroy this planet such way? If manufacturers must to cover costs, why not to sell printers for some 3-4 times more, instead of wasting materials? Answer is one - madness of greed. We are society of slaves, thinking, work is target of life.
If there was real democracy on the planet, we, the people would be able to stop pumping money into Global Warming scam, and ban producing goods, which are intentionally made to be broken quickly. And companies like that, not CO2, are dangerous to our planet.
Thanks for suggestions. Already found better, suggested by kind of people, I hope will save our future.

  • Non HP Supply Installed after replacing formatter board

I have a Color LaserJet 3800DN that has two toner cartridges that the printer thinks are "out" but I have continued to use the printer fine with the Override At Out setting.  All of my cartridges are genuine HP parts. A few days ago, the formatter board started failing so I replaced it with another formatter board today.  Upon starting the printer with the new board, it immediately complained about "Non HP Supply Installed" for the two toner cartridges that I had been using in override mode.  I've made sure the new board has the same override settings enabled and can't get rid of this error.  What am I doing wrong?

Thanks!  Your explanation as to the root cause makes sense.  It's interesting that original formatter didn't have issues with the override but maybe it would have if I had removed the cartridges and reinserted them.  I believe this warning is to dissuade people from refilling their cartridges instead of buying new ones. I eventually figured out that pressing the green front panel button with the check mark would remove the orange LED error and allow the printer to print documents.  I didn't have to disable the cartridge check but that's good info in case the warning comes back. Thanks again!

  • Photosmart 7520 - Non-HP Cartridge Message

As of today, I have received 4,874 "Non-HP Cartridge(s)" messages from HP.  I consider this out and out harassment rather than reminders to use HP cartridges in the printer.  I am using Office Depot cartridges because the local Office Depot was out of HP 7520 cartridges when I needed them last September.  I tried the hard reset sequence suggested in an earlier post, but it did not work (I've received 12 messages from HP as I drafted this!).  If HP is trying to drive off customers, they are doing a fine job.  And at this point, on general principles, I can't envision buying genuine HP catrridges for the printer, or buying any other HP product in the future.  If anyone has any suggestions on how to make the messages stop (short of buying HP cartridges), please let me know.

    Valuable information you add.
This is your problem.  The mechanical switch is stuck.. Do you see a red light when you look in there? SOme do some don't.
You need to use the headphone jack several times in and outt with the intention of flipping the switch.
Some use a a non metal piece to flip the switch manually-  I would recommend caution here.
    Otherwise your best bet

  • Photosmart B209a Printer and HP364XL cartridges

    Afternoon all,
This one has baffled me and I can't find any answers online anywhere so hoping you can help...
I have a Photosmart B209a All in One printer. The shopping card that came with it specifies that the cartridges that can be used with it are HP364 and HP364XL (for all colour and black cartridges). So I bought a black HP364XL as it was more economical.
The cartridges are lined up as Magenta, Cyan, Yellow and Black from left to right. There are little symbols on each slot to tell you which cartridge to put where. All good so far. The cartridges that came with it aren't the XL version and the black cartridge is about twice as wide as the colour ones (even though none are XLs). When the new XL cartridge came, it is half the size of the normal black cartridge that is already in there (so the same size as the colour ones), and just won't fit in the slot. Underneath the cartridges just between where the pull tab (to eject the cartridge) is and the metal chip, there is a hole on the cartridge that is currently in there. The XL cartridge doesn't have that hole so it won't slot all the way down.
So it is obviously not meant to go in that place.
So I was wondering - have HP made a mistake and teh XL cartridges just don't fit. Or, have I got a duff XL cartridge. Or, is the black XL cartridge supposed to be used on its own or something, and goes in one of the other slots where the colour cartridges currently sit?
I'm confused on this one. All the cartridges are genuine HP and I've never had problems like this with other printers.
Anyone able to shed some light on it?
    Thanks,
    Sarah

Thank you very much HP! I had the same problem when I bought a 364XL (photo) cartridge for my Photosmart B109 printer. Now I have to buy another cartridge because it's the wrong one - which I've unwrapped so I can't send it back. [snip]
I would suggest you Contact HP, explain the situation and ask for an exchange.

I ordered a battery for my laptop because it said to replace battery soon.  How long can I let the new battery sit around as I wait for the old one to run out of more charge?  Will the new one become less effective if it sits around too long?

How much capacity is remaining on your current battery?
    Check your power status
From the  menu: Hold OPTION and click System Information... èHardware è Power
Copy and Paste in your reply.
The new battery will become less effective if you store it in a hot or humid environment. It should be stored at room temperature (22 C).
    Long term storage (6 months):
Apple recommends that you store the battery with a 50% charge. If you store a battery when it’s fully discharged, it could fall into a deep discharge state, which renders it incapable of holding any charge. Conversely, if you store it fully charged for an extended period of time, the battery may experience some loss of battery capacity, meaning it will have a shorter life.

  • My old Apple ID does not work, so I have a new one, but the problem is, my iCloud is backed up on my old Apple ID, and I tried to delete the account, but then it said that everything would be deleted on my iPad. How do you add another iCloud email?

My old Apple ID doesn't work, so I created a new one. However, my iPad(3) is backed-up on my old apple ID. I tried deleting it(for iCloud) but it said it would erase everything. Help?

If you want to use a new ID, you'll have to create a new iCloud account using the new ID, then migrate your existing icloud data to the new account.  Start by saving any photo stream photos that you want to keep to your camera roll (tap Edit, tap the photos, tap Share, tap Save to Camera Roll).  Next, if you are syncing notes with iCloud, open them one at a time and email them to yourself so you can recreate them in the new account.  Finally, if you are syncing iWork documents with iCloud, turn off iCloud syncing in your iWork app settings.
Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Keep on My iPad when prompted.  Then sign in with your new ID to create the new account, turn your iCloud data syncing back on and choose Merge to upload the data to the new account.
When you turn Mail to On you will create a new @icloud.com email account.  You can go to icloud.com sign into your old account and set up email forwarding from your old iCloud email address to your new one if you wish

  • I am unable to print. HP Photosmart 3210xi All in One

I am unable to print on my HP Photosmart 3210xi All in One.  I installed some of HP's downloads this morning, and now I can't print.

    Hi ronalds173,
I see that you are having some login issues with the Photosmart 7520 and have been locked out as result. I believe I know the area you are trying to access, but to make sure, are you taking the I.P address that is assigned to the printer and entering that into the address bar in your web browser?
If so, this login would not be the SSID & password for your router, unless you made it that. This password can be reset by restoring the network defaults on the printer.
To do that, touch Wrench icon in right upper corner and then Wireless Menu. Touch Restore Network Defaults and then confirm. Once restored, you will need to run the Wireless Setup Wizard on the printer.
Try accessing the page again. Let me know if this resolved your issue.
    Cheers,
    JERENDS
